THE HOWRAH HOTEL

I spent three weeks at this beautiful hotel and would like to sincerely thank all the hotel staff for this wonderful stay at the lovely Howrah Hotel. The service is excellent, the rooms are very clean, and the food in the restaurant is very good. All the staff are very helpful. I would particularly like to emphasize that, as a solo tourist and a woman from Germany, I always felt very, very safe. All the staff, and especially the security personnel, ensured this. I can recommend this hotel to everyone! I already look forward to my next stay at The Howrah Hotel.

I recently stayed at this hotel, and it was truly one of the best experiences I’ve had. The hospitality was excellent — the staff were very polite, friendly, and always ready to help with a smile. As someone from Northeast India, I really appreciated how welcoming and respectful they were to guests from different regions. The room was clean, spacious, and beautifully maintained. The food was delicious, especially the breakfast — with plenty of options to choose from. The service was quick, and the overall atmosphere of the hotel felt peaceful and comfortable. Everything from check-in to check-out went smoothly. The management clearly puts a lot of effort into making sure guests have a pleasant stay. I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone looking for comfort, good service, and a homely vibe away from home. I’ll surely choose this place again on my next visit!

The location and rooms are good, and the kitchen is clean. However, the food quality is not good and the menu options are very limited. If you raise a complaint about the food, the service staff tends to argue instead of resolving the issue. Please be cautious before booking this hotel.

The hotel is a unique property very close to the railway station. Yes, modern facilities such as refrigerator, geyser & AC is not present in the rooms; yet one may not face some very major hurdle in staying here. The bathrooms are clean & the service is good. Open 24x7.

For the price and and location, it's a good place to stay. I went even though the reviews weren't so pleasing. Food from the restaurant was really very good along with the professional service. Rules for the property are strict and a welcome thing (may not be for those who don't like discipline). I always needed a place near Howrah , now I have one go to place. * The fishy smell reviews are not correct. I didn't feel like smell of fish in the room or in the property. There is parking space as well. I didn't enquire whether it is available for outsiders or only the hotel staff. The hotel is of vintage style. Rooms are same as that appears in other pictures. Bathroom is not luxurious but good enough for travellers.

A heritage and well-maintained hotel to stay in walkable distance from Howrah Railway Station. Round the clock service and security are provided by well behaved staffs. They also provide a complimentary breakfast with multiple cuisine options, which is a great touch. One thing that needs to be mentioned that this property offers round the clock check in, means, one can check in at any time even at midnight. The Howrah Hotel also offers wide range of rooms, starting from budget to luxurious, according to guest's need. Overall, a pleasant,comfortable and secure stay adjusent to Howrah Railway Station...
