The design of the hotel was absolutely beautiful, which is the only reason I gave it 2 stars. Unfortunately, the overall experience was extremely disappointing.
First, the hotel broke my brand-new Rimowa suitcase while it was in storage. When I confronted the staff, they responded with: “How do you know it was us? You can’t prove that.” For a hotel that claims to be of high quality, such a reaction is both unprofessional and unacceptable. I was told the matter would be discussed with the manager and that I would be contacted. However, after waiting two weeks, I received no response.
Secondly, the pictures and website are very misleading. We specifically booked this hotel for the pool, only to be told that guests cannot use it without paying an additional fee. This is highly unusual and raises the question: what exactly are guests paying for if the advertised facilities are not included?
Room service was also poor. Each time I had to call two or three times before anyone came. The room itself was very basic, lacking even standard bathroom amenities.
Finally, we booked through American Express, which typically offers benefits such as a complimentary upgrade, early check-in, and late check-out. None of these were honored. This was the first time I experienced such a situation, and it left a very negative impression.
