The hotel is in a great position for walking to the metro (excellent one-stop to the airport on the yellow line) and also for getting to the best sightseeing areas, including the opera house, Nyhavn and Amalienborg. The staff were all super-friendly and helpful and breakfast really excellent. The public areas are attractive, spacious and comfortable. Some good restaurants nearby. We booked a Premier room, having seen comments about the small size of some rooms and wanting some space for a 6 night stay. The room was a reasonable size, not particularly large but acceptable, clean with a large, comfortable bed, a small wardrobe, as shown in the photos, a desk, two chairs and two bedside tables. However, there were no drawers in the room which meant we had to spend 6 nights living out of our suitcases, not ideal. Strange choice of furniture as the bedside tables and desk could easily have accommodated drawers. The bathroom was small but sufficient with a basin, W.C. and shower. The window was situated in the corner of the room with only a view of other hotel rooms and, with little light coming in, the room was very dark. When it was opened, any wind would push the window out towards the adjacent room's window, which may have been irritating for its occupants. Tea and coffee sachets were only available for a couple of days so, since the rooms are not cleaned daily, these either had to be requested or taken from the cleaning trolley in the morning, again not ideal. Overall, even with these reservations. we would still return as the pluses greatly outdo the minuses but it would be nice if the management could address some of these minor issues.

Not as expected unfortunately.Very expensive for the services provided. The location is very good as it is pretty close to the city centre. However I cant understand how this hotel had 4 stars in booking. The rooms are very very small, there is no fridge and they gave us only two hand towels and two big ones. They told us that according to the policy of the hotel they dont regularly clean the rooms unless we will ask. Unfortunately I was not informed to ask for it the day before and when I requested it at 12:30pm they told me it was to late and they could not. Despite that I requested extra towels and I found nothing on my way back to the hotel! The shower/bathroom is ridiculously small as well without shower doors but thank God there was heating floor so all waters were pretty quickly dried! A very strong odor from the extractor was coming each time it was open. The breakfast is very very basic and even the pastries or the pancakes felt like they were done the day before. Overall not good experience unfortunately and its a shame cause Copenhagen is beautiful city with lovely atmosphere.

We have just returned to the UK after a fabulous short break at The Huxley hotel.|We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this little gem of a hotel. We stayed in the premier family room (myself, my husband our 13 year old son)|The room was cosy and warm, the bathroom was lovely and the beds were so comfy!|We had breakfast at the hotel on 3 mornings, the food was fresh and plentiful with a mix of hot and cold options including pastries, fruit, cheeses, salmon and meats as well as the cooked options.|I'd like to give a special shout out to Elizabeth who was working at breakfast, she was very welcoming from the moment we arrived.|The staff were all friendly. This hotel is perfectly located to explore the delights of Copenhagen on foot.|Thank you. X

Good location within easy walk to Nyhavn and do many other places. Near plenty of restaurants, bars, and shops. Check-in was easy. The staff were friendly at all hours. The hotel has two swift lifts.||The room was large enough. The bed was comfortable. There were nightstands at each bedside and two power outlets power side--excellent for two people to charge devices at bedside. The little desk and desk chair were nice to have. The walls are rather thin, as the snoring from the guest next door was annoying. No air conditioning, unfortunately, which was not ideal during a heat wave; the small fan was welcome but not enough. Hotels need to address a warming planet. ||The bathroom had a good-sized shower (only) with decent water pressure. Unfortunately, the shower divider was small and water still sprayed out onto the bathroom floor. The towels were wonderful! Between the sink and shelves above and to the left, there was ample storage space for toiletries. The magnifying mirror was a nice addition.||The WiFi was strong and password protected (yay!). I might stay here again if the price is right but not during a heat wave.

Very convenient location close to many sights, bakeries, restaurants, the metro, and buses. Clean hotel with helpful staff. Smart TV allows you to watch Netflix or YouTube. Fast free WiFi. Double paned windows significantly dampen nearby construction noises. The room I had was small but functional. BIG PLUSH TOWELS! Only complaint - the shower has no door. The tiny excuse of a glass divider between the shower and toilet was useless against the splashes.

Such friendly service. Very clean public area and rooms. Breakfast delicious with many options: scrambled eggs with chives; bacon/sausage; pancakes; fruit; yogurt parfaits and more. Not many gluten free options (just muesli) and no known visible dairy alternatives. We first booked Premium room: beautiful, spacious, great comfortable bedding; and super open window view at desk. We did not realize room would not have air conditioning which was a must for asthma. Room was muggy and too warm for sleeping; despite cool temps outside. Hotel super accommodating to change room to Executive, which has room Air Conditioning. This room was great for temp, but funny enough smaller room than premium. We would stay again, especially since location is walking distance to amazing and iconic tourist spots.

I had an ‘economy’ type room during my 5-night stay here. When entering, I was quite daunted by the small size of the room, but, since I was traveling solo, actually in the end I liked this room, since it had everything that was needed and a very nice bed. Probably it is a bit small for 2 persons though. This is a hotel to explore the city (it’s on a superb location); eat (good) breakfast, go out all day, come back in the evening and rest. That’s it. As others have commented, be careful with showering (but there is no need to make a drama of it, just use common sense). Lights in the bathroom could have been placed better. All in all, I very much recommend this hotel as basecamp (at a reasonable price) for city exploration.

The Huxley Copenhagen has an excellent location — close to everything yet peaceful. The design is elegant, the room was very comfortable, and the breakfast selection was wide and delicious. A perfect stay in the heart of Copenhagen!

Yelp
This is the hotel we've been staying at in Copenhagen. When our baggage and we, by extension, were dumped in the middle of the street by the taxi driver who transported us from the ship, we were dismayed to discover they have no bellmen and no luggage trolley. The entrance to the hotel is up three stairs. A very kind man carried the large bags I was struggling w/ while Alan was inside. Had he not, it would have been difficult for us to manage. But that is the only negative. The front desk staff here have been unfailingly helpful, no matter what we've asked. We were checked in and the lovely young woman who helped us said our room might be ready before 2:00PM but she couldn't promise. At that point it was about 9:40. She took our luggage to store for us and we sat in the lobby in comfortable Swan chairs to rest. In the lobby is a beautiful pool w/ a blue glass bottom and a large yellow rubber ducky floating in it. A fish-ladder-like fountain feeds the pool. No more than 20 or 30 minutes later she told us the room was ready and directed us to room 316. We stepped off the elevator on the third floor to see photos of Coleman Hawkins, Miles Davis and other American jazz musicians from their Copenhagen days in the 1960s. I felt immediately at home. We brought our luggage up and w/o unpacking, took a nap, then went out to explore. They keep our room keys and their heavy holders on hooks while we are out. From the beginning, the staff associated us w/ our room number, bringing out our key as soon as we walked in the door. The staff made several restaurant recommendations and wrote out directions for Alan for ATMs and a pharmacy. The helpful things they did were too numerous to recount in detail. Danish design is exquisite. When I was growing up the furniture we had was called Danish Modern and I love it still. The elevator doors are works of art, as are the toilet paper holders. In addition to the Swan chair Arne Jacobsen designed the Egg chair. When I was at Cal in the 60s there was a Scandinavian furniture store on Telegraph called Fraser's. They had an Egg chair, probably in blue or green or orange. I used to go down there periodically just to sit in it. The hotel has an Egg chair in a a little room w/ an iPad attached. It's a soft brown and is as lovely as I remember it. The bed is comfortable w/ twin duvets like the hotel in Vienna had. Over the bed hangs a triptych, a photo of Ben Webster and Coleman Hawkins in 1967. There is a long, convenient desk w/ plugs on the wall at the end for charging devices. Wifi is free, fast and reliable. The phone is angular and a work of art. The room is large and comfortable. There are two Swan chairs and I'm sure the desk chair has a name. There is a sign encouraging you to hang up bath towels if you don't want them washed and they don't take them if you hang them up. Breakfast is included, a buffet w/ scrambled eggs and bacon, two loaves of bread to cut, one of them the dense whole grain bread I love. There are also baskets of pastries which look delicious, but I could never get past the bread to try them. A cold section holds several delicious cheeses, ham, salami, paté, orange wedges, fruit salad, yogurts, cereals and melon slices. Coffee, teas and juices are also available. I loved the cheeses and ham, preferred the orange wedges to the fruit salad and enjoyed the Greek yogurt. On the TV quietly played a video featuring the music and photos of Miles Davis, Ray Charles, John Coltrane, Oscar Peterson and Dexter Gordon. It was a pleasure to watch. It was a generous breakfast buffet to pick and choose from. I'm sorry we will be leaving too early for the airport tomorrow to enjoy it. We had a lovely stay here and I would recommend this hotel.

Yelp
If getting any sleep at all is your goal, best hope the hotel staff don't give you one of those prize rooms on the first floor. You'll get a first-hand experience of what it feels like to sleep in an NYPD precinct booking room. Tuck yourself in as you lull yourself to sleep to the soothing sounds of slamming doors, stomping feet and screeching laughter. Addendum: Since posting this review the evening of check-in, there's more to share. The next morning when I woke up and took a shower, when I retrieved a "fresh" towel from the neatly-folded pile I noticed a disgusting brown streak just before putting the towel to my face. I'm not a finicky traveler and can put up with a lot, but there are just some things that a hotel has to get flawlessly right every single time. Providing guests towels that don't have brown stains is one of them.

Yelp
This is a nice little hotel with a great location. My wife and I stayed here recently before taking a cruise and we had a great time. The rooms are very clean and comfortable. The lobby is nice with a full bar, lounge area. Free wifi and breakfast. Bike rentals are right outside. The metro is a easy 5 minute walk witch is next to all the great shops and restaurants, and there are several upscale restaurants in the neighborhood. This city is very walkable and using the metro can make it even easier. I recommended canal tour, Amaelienborg, Rosenberg Cadtle, Tivoli Gardens, shopping and dining.

Yelp
Good Hotel with a perfect location. Walking distance from every city sight imagineable. Old rooms but great refurbished and upkeep! Best breakfast buffet I have had on a BW Hotel. Staff is pretty much neutral but efficient!

Yelp
I would not stay here again. The rooms have no air conditioning and it can actually get really hot in summer. I was not able to sleep because I was so hot. The tv in my room didn't work and they were never able to get it working. The keys are old room keys you turn in at the desk...charming yes, but for a national chain they need to update this. No ice machines.
