The Huxley Copenhagen, BW Premier Collection, a Design Boutique Hotel Copenhagen, Denmark

"This boutique hotel is just around the corner from Copenhagen’s picturesque 17th-century Nyhavn waterfront district. It offers free Wi-Fi and rooms with flat-screen TVs and Danish designer furniture. Hotel City’s bright, stylish rooms feature black and white portraits of jazz icons. Some include Arne Jacobsen leather armchairs and iPod docking stations. A hearty breakfast buffet gives guests the energy to explore the city, while the lobby bar offers a quiet retreat after a busy day. Staff are always willing to recommend or book local restaurants. Kongens Nytorv Metro Station is 5 minutes’ walk from Best Western Hotel City. Tivoli Gardens and Amalienborg Palace are also within easy walking distance." - My Boutique Hotel (en)

Such friendly service. Very clean public area and rooms. Breakfast delicious with many options: scrambled eggs with chives; bacon/sausage; pancakes; fruit; yogurt parfaits and more. Not many gluten free options (just muesli) and no known visible dairy alternatives. We first booked Premium room: beautiful, spacious, great comfortable bedding; and super open window view at desk. We did not realize room would not have air conditioning which was a must for asthma. Room was muggy and too warm for sleeping; despite cool temps outside. Hotel super accommodating to change room to Executive, which has room Air Conditioning. This room was great for temp, but funny enough smaller room than premium. We would stay again, especially since location is walking distance to amazing and iconic tourist spots.

I had an ‘economy’ type room during my 5-night stay here. When entering, I was quite daunted by the small size of the room, but, since I was traveling solo, actually in the end I liked this room, since it had everything that was needed and a very nice bed. Probably it is a bit small for 2 persons though. This is a hotel to explore the city (it’s on a superb location); eat (good) breakfast, go out all day, come back in the evening and rest. That’s it. As others have commented, be careful with showering (but there is no need to make a drama of it, just use common sense). Lights in the bathroom could have been placed better. All in all, I very much recommend this hotel as basecamp (at a reasonable price) for city exploration.

Perfect location! The staff were incredibly friendly and supportive throughout my stay. Breakfast was fresh and delicious — a real highlight in Denmark! The bedding was cozy and super comfortable, and I was impressed by the stylish interior, especially the Fritz Hansen chairs. I had such wonderful memories at the Huxley Hotel. Highly recommended if you’re staying in Copenhagen!

There’s nothing terribly wrong here, just nothing particularly good either except the location. The hotel is very close to good bus and metro lines making it easy to get around. Plus, it’s a short walk to the canal, sites and shopping areas. The hotel itself is pretty bland. The rooms are small, which I expect is typical in Copenhagen. The bathroom is minuscule. Every time you brush your teeth or wash your face, you hit your forehead on the shelf above the sink. Two people can’t be in it at the same time. The bed is comfortable, and at least you can open the windows. I don’t know what you would do if it got any hotter as the room was warm and stuffy. The public area is uninspired and the bar area empty. We never saw a bartender or anyone using it. We didn’t take the breakfast so we can’t comment. The front staff were nice, but weren’t particularly helpful with questions we’ve had. Paying over $400 a night for this hotel is ridiculous, although we don’t know what the other options might cost. It wasn’t so bad that we felt we needed to switch hotels and waste our holiday time trying to find something else in the middle of busy June but I would look for something else if possible.

Great location 10pm walk from metro, right next to the sea. The rooms are very clean and comfortable. Lots of towels, shampoos etc. The 3 best things of this hotel are the staff, the breakfast and the bikes. The staff are amazingly helpful and friendly. The breakfast and staff are amazing, even a full fry! The bikes we hired for 3 days and are a must, don’t try walking use the bikes. Thanks The Huxley, lovely enjoyable long weekend.

Lovely property in a good central location convenient to all tourist attractions and amenities necessary for a great city stay, staff were all friendly and accommodating. If only you could get a decent hot coffee in Copenhagen it would have been a perfect stay. My only criticism would be the case with a lot of hotels these days having half glass shower screens so that water inevitably splashes everywhere on the floor drenching the bath mat. I would definitely recommend the Huxley for a nice stay, also ask the staff for restaurant recommendations because this was another obstacle , finding somewhere nice to eat that didn’t cost me half of my mortgage payment.
