The Imperial Hotel & Motel

We stayed in a family room for only the one evening. The room was spotless. Water pressure great and hot water plentiful. It's well located smack dab in the middle of town right next to a variety of eateries, very close to the train station, a short walk from Bowral's main attractions. Parking on site is complemented by an adjacent free council parking lot. Unfortunately, we arrived too late (past 22:00) to try the pub restaurant.|What really stood out for us was the friendliness of all the staff we spoke to both on the phone and at the motel itself. Would definitely look forward to staying there again when we're in the area.

I travelled from Canberra for a medical procedure in Bowral. This motel was recommended by the medical practice because the Doctor required me to stay in Bowral overnight after the procedure. The procedure was cancelled at 10.30am by the Doctor due to a changed diagnosis. The practice was confident I would get a refund from the motel because this happens a bit. I contacted the motel and requested a refund or credit due to the circumstances. This was denied by the owner/manager who told me the cancelled procedure was "my problem not his". He advised he had a 24 hr cancellation policy and wouldn't waive it regardless. Anybody travelling there for anything similar should beware because medical procedures can be changed and this motel is not interested in looking after its customers. By the way the reception staff was pretty unhelpful and unfriendly as well. I won't be back.

We attended a work Christmas dinner on a Thursday night about 3 weeks before Christmas to give some context. We arrived to find a table was not reserved for us, even though we had reserved a table prior. We asked the lady at the bar and she advised us to look for the name on the booking. We looked everywhere, no table. They then proceeded to give us a bench with stools and a dirty high chair for our one year old child. The high chair was sitting well below our bench and stools, so even if we wanted to use it, we weren’t able to. Our table was in the smokers area, where we spent 2.5 hours. Smoking was prohibited until 8:30pm, however this was clearly not an enforced rule as there were plenty of people smoking and vaping around us and the other families that were in that area. We won’t be returning as it was just a mess of an afternoon. Plenty of other great hotels in Bowral that we’ve been to and never had issues like this.

I give it 5/5 for price, location, amenities, clean and comfort. It’s a part of the pub and lots of cool eateries are close. And it’s a two minute walk to the train station.

Can't comment on the rooms as I didn't see them. Food was great. I love playing pool when I drink with mates. Shame the pool tables need attention.

We stayed at the Imperial Hotel in Bowral for two nights. The accommodation was great and comfortable. The pizza Bistro had delicious pizzas and we ate there both days because of the great pizzas with so many varieties of toppings that were so yummy. We will definitely stay there again.

This was a family get together for a lovely meal in a great location.. this was a return visit * we will come again. Loved the fire in the Pizzeria on a cold day. Great food & service.

We had just come from the funeral of my children’s great-grandfather (and my grandfather), and wanted to have a nice quiet gathering with family. This was until a member of staff came to kick out my kids saying they weren’t allowed in, even though signage said that under 18s were allowed under the supervision of adults? We came from QLD to spend time with our family in this sad time, and you guys really did your best to ruin it. Thanks.
