The Imperial Hotel & Motel

A bunch of us stayed here for a golf weekend. The rooms were great but there was a distinct lack of communication among the staff which meant that some of us had to change rooms for the second night. I booked all this more than 7 months before BTW. At 11 pm on the Friday night, despite us staying there, they abruptly shut the bar, even though there were 14 of us still there. The next night we went up the road to the Royal Hotel which was pumping!

The Imperial Motel does not look as flash as some of the other accommodations in The Southern Highlands but it is very conveniently located and the rooms are clean and comfortable. It offers all the little touches that many motels and hotels are eschewing these days, such as an assortment of beverages, enough milk for your coffee and packets of little biscuits for your evening snack. Although situated adjacent to the motel where people eat and drink into the night, it is pretty quiet. And you can walk into Bowral, leaving your car safely parked. I have stayed there on three occasions to date, and expect I will return.

The hotel is located centrally with everything within walking distance. The rooms are comfortable and mostly clean. The bathroom had evidence of mold in the tile grout. The heater takes a while to warm up before it starts but once on wad effective. Overall value for money

The Imperial hotel is basic but nice. We were at a wedding so really just needed a bed for the night. The room was clean and the bed comfortable and warm. It’s in a good location and was really quiet overnight. There are heaps of good cafes close by and the main shops are down the road so it’s very convenient.

Went in for a steak after work on a Sunday night (14 Sep 25), waited at the front bar for 10 minutes while others were served out of sequence. When I mentioned it to the barman he chose to insult me rather than show common courtesy, he even mentioned he didn’t have to serve me (I’m not sure why, it was my first beer and I was well dressed). I strongly suggest the pub owner should council the barman about customer service.

Busy Saturday night & the one barman in the space is dispensing water in jugs while patrons on both sides of a 2 sided bar waited & waited. I gave up went to another bar & the taps there were dispensing foam instead of the beer I was hoping for. I braved having Canadian Club & it was frothy too. Poor! Would have been nice if the fire in the middle area had been lit as the gas heaters were ineffective. The evening was supposed to be a celebration but was a bit short of my expectations

Rooms were spacious but basic. Wi-fi satisfactory but bed could have had an electric blanket as the weather was very cold. There was air conditioning but I don't like to use it at night because it dehumidifies the air so much. Hotel had good range of menu and drinks available.

Room is so clean and huge for me. Have most of menities u need but for me the air conditioner quiet small if you compare with the room size and it make me still cold even I turn on heater.

We've had pizza here a few times and it is acceptable (not the best, certainly not the worst). The restaurant is often full of families and small groups, and the atmosphere is lively. It has always been busy when we've visited and the prices are not too high, so this might be worth your time in you are in the area.

I had high expectations for my visit but sadly they were not met, the wait for food was way too long for a poor quality meal. My steak was not cook rare as ordered it was more like well done. Found the young bar staff more interested in chatting to people their own age rather than serving.

We came here on Mothers Day. We were in this pub for over 2 hours before we got it. It was about an hour and a half since ordering. None of us enjoyed the food... And don't come here for a quick meal.

Significantly dropped the quality over the last two years. New pizza section looks good, however pizzas are too small and prices exuberant.
