We booked a one night stay and left a small note in our booking that we were celebrating something, and to say the team at The Inchcolm went above and beyond would be an understatement. We were upgraded to the most remarkable room, and even greeted with a surprise waiting for us. The room was incredible, clean, gorgeous views, the comfiest bed and the amenities were fantastic. The team went above and beyond to make our stay comfortable, enjoyable and they were accommodating at every turn. Thank you very much for such a wonderful stay. I couldn’t recommend this place more.

We just spent 3 nights at this hotel. Upon arrival we asked for an upgrade and got it. Its located in a heritage builfing close to central station and city hall. The rooms are big with high ceilings with a nice bar area and big bathroom. Everything you need is there from bath robes to milk frother. There is a bar / restaurant on the ground floor if you want to dine in or have room service. Free fruit, coffee and pastries for hotel guests in the morning. We really enjoyed our stay. Conclusion: A no nonsense hotel with old charm and modern, big rooms.

Stunning hotel! Beautiful period features (love the elevator!) ||We stayed in a Loft Suite in the modern part of the hotel. Room was out of this world, even presented us a bottle of wine at check in as it was my partners birthday. ||Prior to booking I called to discuss the rooms and the lady on the phone could not have been more helpful. ||Also love the little table in the lobby with fruits and daily sweet treats!! ||Would highly recommend this hotel, and look forward to visiting again!

Brodi, the front office manager is a super star! She made such a great impression from the get go, by coming out and meeting me at my car to help me with my bags and check-in, after I gave a quick call from the loading zone not sure what to do next. She also gave me a heritage room with a bath, which I wasn't aware existed, but was sooo grateful for after a full day of chores and running around in the QLD heat! Unfortunately there's no longer any valet parking, which I was after due to time constraints, but the parking station is so close it wasn't an issue. My bags had been taken to my room by the time I came back, and I was able to get that bath running, and add bath salts from the room to make the soak the best I've had in a while! Another bonus was the L.U.E brand of bath/shower gel, shampoo and conditioner, which I've never tried before, but the next day put in an order online for some - beautiful stuff! Bed was super comfortable, but it was a little noisy outside being a Friday night, and the nearby trains letting their whistle sound when they were leaving the station. I eventually got used to it and got to sleep. |The hotel has fruit and little muffins in the lobby to avail yourself of when passing through, though be aware, there are no gluten free muffins.|The place has a very homey feel that makes you feel welcome and relaxed from the start to the finish:)

I've stayed at the Inchcolm several times. In recent times, it's provided a pleasant stay in a boutique style accommodation that is showing some signs of aging. This was the first time I was asked to check in online the night before. A good start, I thought, as check-in can be delayed if you arrive at the same time as multiple other guests. Reception can only handle one check-in at a time. Unfortunately, despite having checked in online, I still needed to wait in line behind two other groups to get my key. When served, I was informed that there was a "maintenance issue" with my room. The air con had broken down that morning (I was checking in at 6.30pm). I think the whole floor was affected and told that it hadn't been fixed during the day, so they had bought fans at Bunnings to help out with the heat. I was told that there were no other rooms available. The temperature that day was in the mid-30s. The room was on the fourth floor and the heat was quite stifling on entry. A fan was brought in. From one perspective I was pleasantly surprised that, after staying several times, I was provided with a room spread over two levels. My delight soon disappeared when I realised how hot it was on the level where the bed was located. Frankly though, arriving at 6.30pm when it's already dark in the cbd makes it difficult to find alternative accommodation. With the fan blaring like a 747 for the night, I managed to eventually get some zzzz's. Maintenance issues happen. However, I was disappointed that the hotel didn't at least let me know about the air con issue earlier. This is Brisbane where heat and humidity are significant. Had I known earlier, I would have made alternative arrangements. I guess this is the risk one takes when one selects a boutique accommodation.

The Inchcolm was nothing short of extraordinary for my daughter’s wedding. From start to finish, the experience was flawless. The staff went above and beyond—professional, attentive, and genuinely warm—making everyone feel completely taken care of. Our daughter selected the five-course Chef’s Tasting Menu for the wedding dinner, and it was, without a doubt, the best decision they could have made. Every dish was a masterpiece—beautifully presented, perfectly balanced, and absolutely delicious. A heartfelt thank you to Matt, whose culinary expertise truly made the evening unforgettable. His food wasn’t just a meal; it was an experience—elevating the celebration and adding something truly special to an already magical day. Exceptional venue, outstanding service, and world-class cuisine—The Inchcolm delivered perfection in every way.

Stayed in room 305, it didn’t have working air conditioning. Called the front desk at 1am to request a change - no apology and was moved to a disability access room (toilet with no lid and only a hand held shower head). Checked out the next morning and still no acknowledgement or apology. Have stayed here before and enjoyed it but the customer service let them down this time. Reading recent reviews it would appear that they have had issues with air conditioning. When I contacted them to leave my feedback I was told ‘next time I book let them know and they’ll look after me’….um I’m not going to book somewhere I had a bad experience at without more detail. When I sent them a date I may come back to ask what their ‘look after you’ meant, my email was ignored. Also the room didn’t have towels in it. Underwhelming customer experience.

Yelp
This hotel has one of the best restaurants and bar of the city. They have earned a hat trough hard work, love a passion about food. Definitely a must visit.

Yelp
The rooms in this boutique hotel are luxurious, whimsical and comfortable. No boring beige standard hotel rooms. The room was a very decent size. And quiet, couldn't hear anything else in the hotel/corridors. Bed was sublimely comfortable. Toiletry products were also lovely. We were given some delicious chocolates the first night during turn down. Nothing the next. Not sure if they had been for Valentine's Day or not (put out on the 13/2). The bathroom for me was a mess - not as in not clean, but very poorly designed. The shower makes the whole bathroom flood. It's a decent size just a bad design/layout. Also, I drank a bottle of soft drink out of the mini bar which wasn't replaced the next night. Which meant that a. I couldn't drink it again, & b. made me concerned they'd charge me for it twice. When I mentioned it at check out they hadn't noticed it at all. The location is right across from Central Station, but it is isolated on weekends (by people and open businesses) but it was only a short 10 minute walk for us down to Eagle Pier, and we also walked to Fortitude Valley - which was about a 15-20 minute walk depending on where you were going.

Yelp
I thoroughly enjoyed my stay here. This hotel probably has the nicest staff I have ever come across. There are only a few minor issues- My air conditioner hadn't been cleaned and was ineffective for most of the stay. (It kept saying on the dashboard it needed cleaning). The bathrooms are small but beautifully designed. However, the room was easy to get wet as the shower door doesn't really have anything to close with. I also lost a phone charger and never heard back from the staff when I enquired about it which was disappointing. However, despite this I would still return. The staff, the restaurant, and the rooms were amazing.
