The hotel is in a great location, right next to Termini station. It feels very modern. We stayed in a superior room with a balcony. The room was very clean and quite spacious for a city centre hotel. The staff were all excellent and the breakfast was great. The roof top bar is a great touch and on a clear night you get really good views as my picture shows. |The only reason I have not given the hotel a 5 star is because of how small the lift is. As the lift is so small it sometimes requires a long wait. This is not a big problem but when you have been out all day in 33 degree heat and you come back and are waiting for a lift for 5-10 minutes it can be quite frustrating, especially when you are the 6th floor. |I would recommend this hotel to anyone staying in Roma as overall it’s a great little hotel.

The hotel is within walking distance of the train station which was so convenient for our one night stay before starting our cruise. The rooms are updated, clean and stylish. The bed is very comfortable and the bathroom spotless and spacious. The breakfast buffet was clearly marked with ingredients, which made it helpful to us as vegans. One of the staff members in the lovely roof-top breakfast area, Michely, went out of her way to explain things. Would definitely stay here again.

We recently stayed in the Independent hotel and I'd like to write about my experience.|The hotel is very modern and well-organized. ||The breakfast buffet is good, but not the best. The staff at the breakfast buffet is excellent! The outdoor patio has a lovely view of the city.||The hotel is very close to Termini station, which is good. However, during the busy times of the city, when we wanted to book a Taxi using the ITTaxi Application, most of the time, no taxi accepted our request since most taxis were going to Termini station to pick up people. We had to go to Termini station to get a taxi, which was not difficult since it was only a 5- to 10-minute walk.||Just so you know, when booking a hotel in Italy, you should not rely solely on the pictures on the hotel's website. You should always check the photos by travelers on TripAdvisor, which is not the case for this Hotel. The rooms you get are exactly like the photos on the website. That's why I did not upload any photos.||Overall, we had a great experience and I strongly recommend this hotel.

Staff was really welcoming. Room was clean and spacious enough for 3. Location is great. 5 minutes to train station. The bus to the Vatican stops right in front. There are a bunch of restaurants and grocery stores nearby. Breakfast buffet was really good, especially the coffee. Rooftop bar was nice for a rest stop.

The hotel itself left a bit to be desired (rooms were quite small relative to what we were expecting and the gym was not available), but the staff were all excellent. I would specifically like to call out Michele, who was the breakfast server - she was friendly, incredibly customer focused, and super helpful. The gentlemen at the bar in the evenings were also really great - overall, the service was really wonderful!

We visited Rome (as a surprise from my husband) for my birthday, spending the weekend at The Independent. The hotel exceeded our expectations; so very clean, the staff are very friendly and professional. The hotel is well appointed, near to the railway station and within walking distance to the major tourist attractions. Breakfast offered a wide choice of options to be eaten leisurely on the roof terrace. Amazing views and definitely a beautiful weekend to remember. We will definitely return to the hotel.

This hotel is situated in an excellent position for getting around the city only being a few hundred meters from the main station.|The room was perfect for long weekend stay especially the air conditioning which kept the temperature comfortable even though the outside temperature was 35 c +.|The staff from reception through to the maids were all polite and welcoming. A special mention to the restaurant staff on the terrace who couldn’t do enough to make your stay perfect in.|We would definitely stay here again if we were to visit Rome.

Not the best location. If you sleep in the living room area you can hear EVERYTHING outside the room like literally everything and for some reason you can hear the water going down the tubes from the rooftop? like what? The Doors don’t lock and it’s really uncomfortable for a family. the pillows were really good thought.
