Trendy London Restaurants for Spotting Celebrities That Are Still Cool | Eater London

"As one of London’s outstanding Indian restaurants — with a Michelin star to boot — Gymkhana would probably do fine without fashion’s seal of approval. But it doesn’t hurt. Gigi Hadid has eaten at the restaurant, along with the Beckhams (regulars), and fashion-adjacent celebrities like Miley Cyrus. Whether or not they tried the famed wild muntjac biryani is unknown." - Lauren Cochrane

We had party in Gymkhana club, ordered many items, Chicken wings : taste was good but too salty. Mixed NV platter: it is sizzler but it was not hot, taste wise ok. paneer tikka : masala coated to paneer did not cooked well and added more colour. onion bajji : taste is good Potato bajji : good taste Fries : crispy and tasty. Mutton curry: it was not good, the Mirchi powder was not cooked well, we felt the mirchi powder taste while eating and mutton piece was little hard. Chicken Curry: chicken curry is good. Overall Veg items were good, Non Veg items were not tasty

Visited to enquire about hall hire today, was shown around by Nelson who was very knowledgable and polite. We were invited to stay for dinner, and I’m so glad we did because the food did not disappoint! The butter chicken and peshwari naan were simply divine, will be sure to dine here again in the very near future

Interesting array of half height horizontal mounted double panel radiators, above head height. At least 10 of them. Maybe suboptimal placing of the radiators under a non cold air source to take advantage of convection (movement of particles through a substance, transporting their heat energy from hotter areas to cooler areas) thus mounted near the ceiling isn't great. The copper piping work around the rads is impressive. Also the steel mounted cable management ducts to carry the utilities are a nice view. Oh food and staff are great too.

This venue has sadly dropped in standard and is a hit and miss affair. Their starters were very good but the lamb was shockingly chewy. Very disappointing as we regularly celebrate birthdays there and they really lack consistency....what a shame !

Residing in Birmingham, when visiting family close by I'll alway visit for the meat samosas. Been coming here for the past 5 years. The meat samosas were amazing as always (also pure meat and tasty). Lamb chops were tasty, tender, and cooked well. The Chilli garlic mogo and chilli paneer were VERY disappointing. The chilli mogo was like it was simply boiled and tossed in some masala, was expecting it to be fried before tossed in a tasty masala instead it was very dry and lacked flavour but nowhere as bad as the chilli paneer. Wasn't very tasty and quite dull. Unfried Paneer pieces tossed is a tasteless sauce. No soy sauce. Too much tomato. Guys, take ur chefs to Leicester to broaden their horizons and expand their culinary taste buds

I had my 60th Party at the Indian Gymkhana. What a delightful experience! From help with planning by Qays Mir to the day of the party we were so well looked after. The food was, as always, fantastic, the venue elegant and tastefully decorated and the staff were welcoming and so helpful and professional. A big shout out to the Gymkhana and many thanks for an evening that will be memorable for years to come. Thank you.

We hosted a birthday party here - in the Orangery, for our 7-year old son. It was all fantastic. Great food, drinks and a lot of support from the management & staff - who helped us organise it all. Very friendly people. The guests - kids & adults had a great time. Highly recommended 👍🏻

Yelp
As authentic as they come - plenty of history to the place. Some liquor selection is from India. Great smelling food with outside BBQ in the summer, whilst watching the club cricket and hockey teams play. Local crowd; family orientated. Indian Gymkhana offer pitch hire for ball sports.
