The Indus Valley

This hotel is beautiful. The service from Jigmet, Vivek, Tani, and Junaid was excellent. The food at Le Orient was incredible. The hotel offered drivers for us to explore the city. Soman, the hotel owner, was very kind and taught us so much about Leh’s history. If you get the chance, make sure to speak with him! Would recommend this hotel to all visitors in Leh.

Amazing stay. The staff is so courteous and friendly. The property is right next to the market. We stayed here for a workation and internet connection was very good. |Highlight of the stay was Chef Pawan and his team. Amazing food and one of the best in Ladakh. |Front office managers Jigmet and Tani were were very courteous and helpful. ||Overall a wonderful stay.

Mixed experience. Felt overpriced for services provided. We stayed both at indus valley and grand dragon for about the same price (valley being couple of hundred more) But experience was very different with valley being surprisingly incomplete in services and some facilities. Less staff due to winter is probably one of the reason. If dragon is even 60% higher cost. My suggestion would be go for dragon in off seasons atleast. 1. Internet stops working in the evening and desk mentioned they cant do anything about it. 2. While we understand there wasn't a buffet due to low occupancy it wasn't mentioned until we arrived at the restaurant after which alacarta took 25 minutes to prepare our order. Sharing such information would allow guests to prepare accordingly 3. For small requests first response was cant be done or not possible which later was partially resolved. This maybe Okay considering real-time possibility but just experience grand dragon once you will never want to stay at valley :(

I stayed at Hotel Indus Valley in September during my Ladakh Marathon, and it was an absolutely wonderful experience. This has been my favourite hotel stay ever — they took care of me from the moment I arrived.On arrival, I was welcomed warmly by Mr. Mang, Jigmet, Vivek, and Ms. Tani, with the traditional white scarf (Khata) and a cup of fragrant Kahwa. I was then guided to my beautiful mountain-view room, which was large, spacious, modern, and offered the most stunning sunrise views.The food was excellent — Chef Vikas Kumawat is truly a gem, and every meal was delicious. The hospitality of the support staff, especially Raj Hela, Rahul Das, and Pratap, was top-notch and made my stay even more pleasant.The hotel’s location is perfect — right in the heart of Leh, just a short walk from Downtown and the Leh Market. I would come back in a heartbeat and truly wish I could have stayed longer.A special mention again to Mr. Mang, Jigmet, Vivek, Ms. Tani, Chef Vikas Kumawat, and the ever-helpful support team — Raj Hela, Rahul Das, and Pratap — for making me feel at home throughout my stay. Thank you to everyone at Hotel Indus Valley for such a beautiful and memorable experience.

Staying at The Indus Valley felt like finding a little oasis of luxury in the heart of Leh. The team here comes from all corners of India — Kashmir, West Bengal, Haryana, Uttarakhand — each adding their own touch of kindness and hospitality. Their smiles, stories, and genuine care made our stay unforgettable. The rooms were beautifully designed — modern yet cozy, with breathtaking mountain views.Food at the restaurant was another highlight — hearty, flavorful, and perfect after a day of exploring monasteries and passes. A special mention goes to the beautiful lady at the reception, who welcomed us with such grace and warmth. She handled everything effortlessly always with a smile that made the long travel day melt away.

Centrally heated and about 8-10 mins walking distance to the main market and spacious room makes Indus Valley a value for money. |The entire staff was very welcoming and hospitable. |Would like to mention a few names here. |Anu - for her assistance in the reservation |Jigmet (Front desk) - Smooth and early check in|Pawan (Chef) - the breakfast is delicious. The Alu parathas and masala omelette were fresh and cooked to perfection. |Ankit (F&B) - for his welcoming nature and hospitality. |A suggestion for improvement - The partition between dry and wet area in the bathroom needs to be looked into as the water leaks out from wet to dry area. |Definitely worth a visit

The service in this hotel was second to none! From the moment I arrived, Balbeet and Tani made me welcome in reception, bringing me tea and getting me checked in. When I was settled in and ready to have a bite to eat, Pawan and his wonderful team in the kitchen took great care of me (even noticing when I struggled with some chicken, so they deboned it for me!). When I needed help finding an ATM, Tani even walked me to the nearby market to make sure I didn't get lost! This hotel is such a wonderful introduction to the hospitality of Leh. Truly excellent.

After a very long time in Ladakh again we had a wonderful experience with this hospitality the way they all treated us like a family . The owner Mr.Sonam he was so humble and polite . Especially thanks to the staff Taani mam, Jigmet,Vikas ( Actually they both are full of humour ) and Balbeet from Punjab . The food preparation by the chef was up to the mark . Apart from all these for room bookings we thanks to Anu mam who gave us bestest rates . Will definitely visit to see you all again .
