I don't get what all the high maintenance reviews are about everything in Mazatlan...do you guys know where you are?! You're in Sinaloa! They ain't rich ass high rollers like all of you think you are so chill the funk down right now. Seriously it's so annoying how much people expect for so little of a price. Give me a break.
Anyway- my fiancé and I stayed here for the first three nights in Mexico. We paid $114 a night and stayed in an 850sq ft room with full kitchen with a stove, pots and pans, cups - EVERYTHING, full living room with a dining table and couch and with a balcony facing the ocean, a nice large fridge, two bathrooms with two showers, and a bedroom with its own balcony. TWO BALCONIES TOTAL, PEOPLE.
1. It was clean as fu*ck. I don't know what all the "dirty" complaining is. I live in Los Angeles, the vainest city ever- this place was way better than most hotels in Los Angeles and a great deal. We had zero dirt problems. Everything was spic n' span.
2. Service at the restaurant was great. We got waited on wherever we were. Staff wasn't lazy and they made sure we always had a drink or snacks. Room service was on point, too.
3. Front desk sucked majorly. They ignored us and acted like they were too busy to care about our questions. Took a star off bc of them.
4. This place is in the epicenter of the beach scene over there so expect a crowded ass beach and pools. Bands play a lot too so there's always music. Everyone tries to sell you things, so expect a lot of people trying to talk to you
It's central - located in "new Mazatlan" so there's a lot to do and located conveniently near shops, good food and easy to catch a cab and get anywhere. One day we even went to the mall which was super fun. It was my bday so we were able to shop, eat a nice dinner that was walking distance (go to FISH), eat cake, lay by the pool and watched a movie on Netflix.
I totally recommend spending extra bucks on the bigger room, we loved that we could keep our balcony doors open to cool out the room bc its a really humid area. Also, I recommend learning how to speak Spanish, most people spoke very little english, so don't expect an Ensenada or Baja experience.
