I recently traveled with my 89 year old father, an Ole Miss alum, to Oxford and The Inn at Ole Miss could not have been a more perfect choice for us. From the moment we arrived we were greeted with warm Southern hospitality and a level of service that I was not expecting. My dad was thrilled to be staying so close to The Grove. At check-in we were given two rooms that matched our request, but once we arrived, Dad mentioned he would prefer a better view. Janice at the front desk went above and beyond for us. After waiting a few minutes she graciously handed us new keys and upgraded us to rooms with the perfect view. That small gesture really meant so much. We enjoyed the hotel restaurant and had a wonderful time watching an Ole Miss game among other alumni. It felt very special. Dad had previously made a donation to support the renovation of McCormick’s. We were proud to see his name honored on a plaque outside the door. A big thank you to Phil and the complimentary shuttle service; he was so kind, informative, and reliable, even picking us up after dinner on the Square. Our shuttle rides were definitely one of Dad’s highlights from the trip! We also appreciated the hotel’s attention to detail. We accidentally left something in our room and before we even realized it the hotel called us to confirm our address and arranged to mail it. That level of care really stood out. The location of the hotel is unbeatable, and the décor has that warm, Southern, historic alumni charm that feels just right. We couldn’t have asked for a better stay and look forward to returning.

Beautiful hotel located on the Ole Miss campus just a short walk from The Grove. The staff is always friendly and attentive. The rooms are beautiful. Wiith a restaurant on the first floor grabbing a drink and a bite is very easy. This is the only place we'll stay while visiting Oxford!

Our stay at The Inn at Ole Miss was extremely disappointing. It’s one thing for a hotel to be older, but it’s entirely different for it to be dirty. The room was unacceptable — pubic hair was on top of the comforter, long black hairs were stuck to the shower wall, mold was in the bathroom, and a used bar of soap was left in the shower. On top of that, the air conditioning barely worked, leaving the room hot, damp, and uncomfortable. Clearly, the room had not been properly cleaned or inspected, which raises serious concerns about hygiene. For the price and reputation, we expected far better. Sadly, we cannot recommend this hotel and hope management takes these issues seriously.

Beautiful in every way. Rooms big ,lobby beautiful ,bar and restaurant very good. Service 5 star. Wonderful linens and beautiful double bathroom. Very helpful staff. Free shuttle to the square at night. On campus, just the perfect place for an old miss visit

Did not stay in a room. Was there for an event. Beautiful place! Friendly, helpful staff. Would definitely like to go back for a nights stay! Food from the restaurant there was fabulous!

I enjoyed my stay at the Inn. I prefer staying in campus hotels when I travel to colleges/universities because of their proximity to campus facilities. This location was perfect. It was walkable to the student union, the grove, and other sites on campus. We had a suite and it was very well appointed. While we didn’t have a campus view, we had lots of natural light. There were 1.5 baths and a kitchenette, which were phenomenal. We received a conference rate for the AKA 50th Celebration event. It was very affordable, given the amenities of the space. McCormick’s breakfast was great and the staff were wonderful!

The only reason I am giving only four stars for the room is that I know there are people out there who would find them not up to Four Seasons standards. I think they are just the ticket for a stay in Oxford. For $130/night (that includes tax) you get a clean room, a VERY comfortable bed, and a clean bathroom (commode and shower are separated by a door from the vanity/sink, which is good). The room we had been "adopted" by an alumni couple who had decorated it with Ole Miss paraphernalia. Honestly, it was cheery and comfortable. I did not use the shuttle to the Square, but I was glad to know that it was available. I didn't take advantage of the pool either, but it looked to have been maintained well. No one was out there, but it was July 4 weekend, and the town was a little on the quiet side. Check-in and check-out could not have been easier or more pleasant. Full disclosure: I worked as a desk clerk there in the 1980s when it was called the Alumni House. I have stayed there five or so times since it was re-branded as the Inn, and I've stayed in both the new section and the older sections. I much prefer this hotel/inn to any of the other options in town.

Google
The room was nice. It had plenty of seating. The shuttle to the square was a nice feature and the driver was very helpful and gave great suggestions for dining. We would stay here again. The campus is beautiful and had the southern charm you expect.

Yelp
This Inn is on the r Miss campus. Great if you have a son/daughter going to Ole Miss they can pop in to see you in between classes. It's walking distance to the square and all sports venues on campus. What it has that other inns DON'T have though is Brenda! The most courteous and hospitable employee. She made our experience a 10/10 with her smile each day. She went above and beyond to ensure we were taken care of.

Yelp
I stayed in one of the Basic Double Queen rooms. Lives up to its name, basic. Which is fine, I only used the room as a place to lay my head down at night after a long day (days) of moving my freshman into his dorm. Location is the key!! It is located right on the campus of Ole Miss, so very convenient! I would imagine this hotel is PACKED for home football games. The furnishings were fine, beds were comfortable, pillows comfortable. Needs a refresh, for sure. Removing the carpet and putting down new floors would give some life into this room! More lighting would help as well. The bathroom is old and in much need of an overhaul!! Water pressure was almost non-existent. It felt like I was showering with just a trickle of water. But, still grateful I had one to use after a long day of moving boxes and furniture. I would definitely stay here again. I just now know to expect mediocre rooms. The pictures on the website make the rooms look much bigger, brighter, and newer. The lobby is beautiful and the outside of the building is beautiful as well. Just a big letdown when opening the door to your room after pulling up to the big beautiful building and walking through the spacious and beautiful lobby.

Juliet H.

Yelp
This is the lobby. Its 4:30 am and I should be asleep. Why am I awake? Glad you asked! The room is so dusty that you can taste it. Most likely from the drapes and carpet or maybe the outdated ac unit. The sheets are rough and the bed is very hard. Apparently there are two parts to this hotel so maybe try the new tower. I'm sitting in the lobby to clear my lungs from the dust. Looking forward to checking out. I gave 3 stars because in spite of the dust,it's a decent space and ok for a night. If you have dust allergies you may want to consider another hotel. Don't even get me started on the pillows! Hotty Toddy!

Yelp
The exterior and lobby make you think it a nice hotel. Then you open the door to your room and you'd swear your in a Motel 6. In severe need of updating. Cheap sheets, old faded carpets, stained sink, small tv, cigarette smoke smell in rooms and hallways. And, bring your own hair dryer. Obviously it's a great location and now I understand that some rooms are nicer than others. The staff was pleasant
google avatar

Chris B.

Yelp
The exterior doesn't represent the interior. Even though the first rooms a/c wasn't working properly and the room showed its age the service they gave us by finding another room for us was 5 star. The next room was much nicer. After our stay I can see that our room needs some TLC. The mattress was hard and the shower leaked more water out of the side than out of the front plus the hot and cold water was bassakwards.

Yelp
When they built The Inn at Ole Miss they greatly expanded and improved the old Alumni House. Today this 3 star property offers a great place to stay if you are visiting The University. Why? Primarily due to its location. Since its on campus and not campus is not that large it makes walking to most of its parts relatively easy. On campus parking is highly regulated now a days so to be able to leave the car at the hotel is a big plus. Also, parking for hotel guests is free so you miss paying parking and/or valet fees. If you are just visiting Oxford this is still a strong option to consider. It is less than a mile from The Square and close to many other points in town. My two night stay last week was pleasurable and comfortable.i stayed in the older section and there was nothing old about it. My bed was nice, bathroom good and the a/c worked fine. This hotel has a pool and fitness center and offers breakfast each morning along with a business center. There is no restaurant here so you are on your own for lunch and dinner. The Square is about a 10 minute walk away with all of its good eat places. The tower section is the newer part and I am sure it is nice too. I believe the rates here are comparable with both Hampton Inns and the Marriott Courtyard in town. The Inn also has a nice conference room attached for small to medium sized meetings. The hotel also has a large open lobby. Free wifi.

Yelp
I didn't even realize the Inn at Ole Miss existed. As I was driving around campus, I saw it. Thankfully, they had a vacancy. Checkin was easy. Staffer was kind and helpful. I stayed in a suite in the Tower wing. It feels like a one bedroom apartment, complete with guest bathroom (in addition to the full bathroom off the bedroom). Decor was very nice -- upscale. Quiet environment. I slept well. Complimentary breakfast was good. The breakfast room is the least decorative part of what is otherwise a festive decor. Shower was amazing. My only gripe is that I couldn't get the water as hot as I prefer. Parking was easy -- directly in front of the hotel. I've seen poorly executed attempts at university hotels (Pepperdine comes to mind). Ole Miss has gotten it right.

Yelp
We had reservations on the way back from Florida. We had to alter our plans due to a family emergency. As soon as we could we called to cancel. The person did not inform us that we would charged anything , much less the full amount of 2 rooms we did not use. I would understand a cancel fee, but not paying the full amount for a product not used! That's thievery. This is no way to treat people. Do not stay with people who are un ethical in their practices.

Yelp
Stayed for the first time at the Inn at Ole Miss. Located on campus with a complimentary shuttle service that is a life saver on busy weekends and great service - the only thing you need to take note of are the rooms. Apparently there is an old section of the hotel and a new section. I've seen some of the newer rooms and they are nice. However, if you get a room in the older section, you'll feel like you've flashed back to the 80's and on vacation with your family where you've gotta share a bed with your little brother. The rooms are worn, the beds are comfortable enough but the sheets aren't great, and the bathrooms are severely outdated. However, my room was clean and had everything i needed, the staff was super friendly, the complimentary breakfast was satisfactory and the location and shuttle were incredible - making the outdated room manageable.

Yelp
The hotel at check in seemed great but once I got to my room it was as bad as motel 6. Bathroom was small with no counter space, toilet did not flush properly, and no water pressure in shower. Bed was hard as a rock and very uncomfortable. Sheets had mold on them. Coffee pot was way too small and did not brew coffee quickly at all. I was very disappointed. Will not return!

Yelp
The Inn at Ole Miss's location can't be beat, and it oozes Rebel charm, but the rooms are dated and a bit scuzzy, and the interior needs a major refurb. I arrived for a 2 night stay and was delighted at the excellent on-campus location, within walking distance of anywhere on campus, Vaught Hemingway Stadium, the arena, Rowan Oak and The Square. There was plenty of parking, and the staff are very friendly and helpful. However, the condition of the rooms was very poor, and made me feel I wasn't getting decent value for the room rate I was paying. The carpet was dirty, the chair upholstery was sagging, the bed and pillows had a locker room smell, the bathroom fixtures were old and decaying, and there was a bit of black mould in the shower. The rooms need to be renovated and the bathroom fixtures need to be replaced. If a major refurb occurred, the Inn could easily get over $175 per night per room when school is not in session and the customer would feel he's getting good value, instead of the $119 I paid and felt cheated out of.

Yelp
Great location on the center of campus. You can walk to all major attractions - and there is a shuttle bus to the Square. Rooms are spacious, clean and service is very good. Breakfast is free but institutional.

Yelp
This place should be overhauled right away. I'm on a trip with my son looking at colleges. We loved the Univ here but the Inn has a lot to be desired. The lights at the bed don't work. The clock doesn't work. The carpet is all stained and feels wet from humidity. The bathroom has no counter space, the tub is all cracked. We came back from dinner and still find a laundry cart, 2 mop buckets full of dirty water, a garbage bag full of garbage, a vacuum cleaner, etc left in the hallway. It was 8pm! It's like the whistle blew and everyone went home and left their job where they were. Whoever the manager is should be fired yesterday. A poor example of a great Univ.

Yelp
If you wind up in one of the old rooms this place is definitely not worth the money. The location is great but the furniture is old, carpets are soiled, and it has an ancient air-conditioning system that freezes you out and poorly adjusts. For basically the same amount of money you can find a better place to stay in good locations in town. I would not stay here unless I was guaranteed one of the new rooms.
google avatar

Lucy R.

Yelp
I am on a trip looking at colleges and as soon as I arrived to this hotel I was not impressed. The workers were laughing around and not checking me in. The hallway had an awful smell and the bathroom is terrible. Not only is it TINY, but it has a large crack in the shower and the shower head is falling out of the wall. It is really dirty. The carpet has stains on it and the bed is hard as a rock and there is no duvet cover. Do not stay here!
google avatar

Ali H.

Yelp
You'd be better off staying at the Motel 8 down the road. I complained two days in a row about male hairs being all over the bathroom floor by the shower area. Nothing was ever done. Sheets are horrible, the mattress is concrete, the AC unit is outdated.. I asked the front desk guy why the vending machines don't take cash (even though it says "cash only") and he replied "oh, it's probably just full of bills right now. Use quarters." Honestly a terrible experience.
google avatar

Chris M.

Yelp
Wow. I didn't know not but there seems to be two different parts to this hotel. Old and new. First stay here was a super nice room. This time it's a super dumpy room. I'd make sure and ask about each room before booking. I'm told each room is decorated individually. The staff has always been very nice. I would say 1 or 2 stars for the old side and a solid 4 for the nice side. Front desk tells me the new part is all sweets. Trust me, book a sweet.

Yelp
My best friend and I had a great stay here mid-December, 2013. We were in the tower. The room was very nice, clean and spacious. However, the best part of our stay was Tom at the front desk. He took exceptional care of us. He gave us directions, restaurant recommendations and even provided a tour of the hotel. We had only one day and night to discover Oxford, and Tom helped us plan our stay. What a fantastic employee at a lovely place to stay!

Yelp
Our favorite place to stay when visiting our daughter at Ole Miss. I absolutely love that it's directly on campus! It's so convenient and overlooks the Grove. The beds were nice and comfy and the air worked very well. My son likes the fitness center. We thoroughly enjoy staying at The Inn!
google avatar

Andrew M.

Yelp
Warm staff. Delectable breakfast buffet. If you like scrambled eggs and bacon ! The rooms are nicely presented. I Highly recommend it. My Parents and I stayed there several times no complaints.
google avatar

Yelp
This conveniently located hotel has only problem and that is it is run by people who are just collecting a pay check. Ask for something extra and you'll realize that you mistakenly thought the staff was there to assist you with your stay. Have a problem and you'll realize that you're an inconvenience to be ignored. The best thing happening to this hotel is the influx of competition coming to the Oxford area. With the addition of the Graduate Hotel and the brand new Marriott Courtyard under construction, parents of Ole Miss students will have the luxury of spending their money somewhere else. I can't wait to have a room that's clean and the ability to interact with a service oriented staff. Progress is sweet

Yelp
I was in Mississippi for work and figured staying on campus was probably the most convenient. The Inn reminds of a nice southern home. The staff was very friendly, and my room was pretty clean. It had all the bare essentials including a complimentary breakfast in the morning. They even have a shuttle at night to take you to the "Square." Overall, I had a good stay. I would definitely come back and stay again.

Holly G.

Yelp
This was the best sleeper stay ever. Booked a room quickly to go see my daughter for a sorority parents weekend. Really had no idea and no expectations about the room. It was on campus and looked like a great choice for the location. Barely looked at the photos before clicking "confirm." I was blown away by the beauty of the architecture, stained glass art in the foyer and the staff couldn't have been nicer. They just opened a restaurant option, McCormicks, for breakfast and lunch- in the evenings they have a full bar and appetizers. My daughter and I had breakfast there Saturday- reasonably priced and wonderful food. I enjoyed watching football Saturday evening with a few beverages. Isaac, Sabrina and Grant couldn't have been kinder. We talked about music, life, places to venture and more. My room was more than I expected- beautifully appointed and super comfortable. Don't pass this place by! Wonderful experience - will definitely be back!

Elizabeth L.

Yelp
I have stayed at this hotel three times over the last 6 months. The service at the front desk is some of the best I have seen at any hotel. VERY friendly and helpful. The reason for the 3 stars is: 1. The rooms are getting very tired and worn. Bathrooms have mold in the caulk and repair paste around the tub. Carpets are getting worn. 2. The breakfast at this hotel is an embarassment. They have an open "buffet" style breakfast with yogurt (NOT in containers), old fruit, and cereal. Coffee is Starbucks but then they only offer "coffee-mate" to go with it. The managment of this hotel needs to invest in some cosmetic upgrades if they want to stay on top.

Yelp
I still love this hotel but discovered on my last trip that there is a new and an old part of this hotel...seems I have only stayed in the new part up until this past weekend. Now, while the old part of the hotel is for the most part clean it does have an old musky smell and looks like a Super 8....which don't get me wrong I have stayed in my share of Super 8 when I needed to but I did not have to pay $180.00 a night. I understand that they can get away with the price because of the demand and being on campus...just be aware when you go there are 2 very different types of rooms. On the plus side from the cleaning crew to the front desk everyone here is great!

Robert W.

Yelp
Not the worst I've ever stayed in, but not great. For an SEC "on campus" hotel, it's below average. Towels are cheap as can be, rooms are very old and musty. Front desk staff was most unfriendly as well. Look for newer options when visiting beautiful Oxford. This hotel is outdated with terrible decor.

Tina C.

Yelp
WOW! This hotel is very very impressive. It is located on the beautiful Ole Miss campus and certainly fulfills one's expectations. The hotel is fairly new and is just absolutely stunning. The rooms are perfect. It can be a bit difficult to find but the staff is extremely willing and great at giving you directions. They stayed on the phone with us until we walked in the hotel. The price for a suite compared to normal rooms in Oxford is great. They have a free breakfast, free interenet, and a free shuttle that runs to downtown every night. We could not have been more impressed and satisfied by a hotel. If you are visiting Oxford, MS this hotel is a must see.

McKay S.

Yelp
I really liked this place and the town of Oxford as well. The Inn at Ole Miss is right in the heart of campus and a short walk from the square. In addition, I was pleasantly surprised to see that they had a nice gym. If I ever make it back to Oxford I will definitely be staying here again.

Ken F.

Yelp
Horrible situation the night before an Ole Miss game. Had a reservation for 8 people at 7 pm and were told they were not taking orders because they were too busy. We ordered drinks and then proceeded to bring in our own food. We were scolded by the chef that we can't bring outside food into their roof deck restaurant. We were basically thrown out of the restaurant. Several of us are platinum elite members of Marriott. We will not return to this place next game.

Julie S.

Yelp
I've stayed here a couple of times. The front staff is generally very friendly. The hotel is under renovation. If you get in the updated part of the hotel, it's divine. If not, it's pretty average, but OK. The location couldn't be better if anything you have to do involves the University - you can walk to anything from there. The walls are pretty thin, but I'm not there for football weekends, so I haven't had to content with alumni and parents partying in the Grove and coming back, so it's been all quiet on my stays. I hear the Sunday brunch is terrific, but I keep missing it because of my schedule. LOVE the free Wifi!
