The Inn at Palo Alto

This is a fab hotel in a stunning area just outside Boquete. We stayed two nights in the family room and a further two nights in side-by-side triple rooms. The former was just perfect for a family of 4 and the kids loved their bed space up a narrow spiral staircase. It was so special to watch the many hummingbirds and other beautiful birds that are regular visitors to the stunning garden setting of the inn. |The pool and jacuzzi are lovely after days our adventuring. |We also loved the breakfast here. It’s low key, but served with a smile from the lovely staff team and includes lots of delicious fresh fruit, cooked items, smoked salmon and bagels and more! You can help also yourself to some fizz or a Bloody Mary too! And all with that stunning view! Just perfect!|We would also like to add that the staff team were super friendly and helpful. |It’s easy to get into Boquete using local taxis (although when we were staying, the bridge on the fast route into town was being repaired so the journey took a bit longer), and we also found Palo Alto was en route to many of the attractions, so tour companies were happy to pick us up there rather than in town. |We highly recommend this place!

Where do I even start. We had read all the promising reviews before we came here.|They have nice (free) parking spaces in front of the hotel. The gate opens up to the most beautiful garden with so much plants, flowers and (humming) birds. All the staff are super friendly and always smiling.|The spacious room was spot clean and smelled so nice every time we entered the room.|Every morning there was a small, but delicious and very fresh breakfast buffet.|After our hikes we would relax in the hot tub, which overlooks the river.|We would definitely recommend this hotel and are a little sad to leave this place...

I'm so glad we chose this place! Marcelo took care of EVERYTHING. From making reservations for us for a special birthday dinner for our daughter, to getting us a cab. He was also full of other recommendations, which was VERY helpful. The room was clean and airy with the serene sounds of the river right outside. We couldn't have asked for a better place to stay.

We spent a few nights at the Inn towards the end of April 2025 and had a fantastic time. The hotel is tucked away on the outskirts of Boquete so it was nice and quiet. Marcelo the hotel manager was terrific and arranged all our tours - coffee farm, hanging bridges, zip lining and hot springs. The rooms were clean and spacious and breakfast was excellent - a great way to start the day. Marcelo even drove us back to David airport when we were leaving. All is all this was a great and unexpected experience and we would definitely recommend this lovely little hotel to fellow travelers visiting this charming, must see part of Panama.

Charming idea with small houses set in a lush garden setting. The breakfast buffet was very nice: bagels, salmon, fruit, cheese, and eggs. However, the room layout wasn’t for us. Our room had a large window that opened onto a shared hallway, meaning little privacy unless the curtains were closed, which made the room feel dark. While the grounds are beautiful, we wouldn’t stay again due to the room setup.

Outstanding place. Polite and helpful staff. Cozy rooms. Garden full of flowers and humming-birds. The pool and jacuzzi are amazing — relaxing there after a trek and gazing at the coffee plantation across the river is an exceptional experience. Well-equipped fitness center. Phenomenal breakfast with a view. Highly recommend and truly worth the price.

Great place to stay. Gardens and views are really lovely. Room was very comfortable and the support staff was excellent. Breakfasts were very nice with a good variety of choices. Pool was beautiful and the location was great. They also had great suggestions for activities. Highly recommend.

It is a beautiful hotel, super comfortable, private, the river right there, and the pool and hot tub are amazing. The gardens are beautiful. ||Perfect place and recommend going to El Pianista for pizza.
