"This "golfer’s paradise" is adjacent to a Scottish-style links golf course, and guests should "be prepared for a very long walk to their room." Located in picturesque Del Monte Forest, "it has a gorgeous setting. We especially enjoyed the bagpiper," who roams the course playing the pipes as the sun dips into the Pacific. The contemporary soft-brown and tan rooms come with outdoor patios or balconies and gas-burning fireplaces, "a highlight. Sunset cocktails by the fire are a must!" Book an oceanview room for "dramatic views of the wild Pacific." After a round, dine on eclectic Hawaiian fusion cuisine at Roy’s."

Awesome but dropped off a bit. Even if you're not a golf lover, which I am, the setting here is amazing with stunning views (especially at sunset). If you are a golf lover, add to that, the course is fantastic, challenging with some really tricky and fast greens and ocean front holes along the "in the trees" mountain like holes.||The restaurants are very good also. Roy's has some excellent food always, but had a couple of misses and lunch out on the deck is awesome. The other restaurant Pepoli's has some great steaks and more, but on this trip the cook couldn't get the temp right so medium rare was raw, then the re-cook came back medium well. Big bummer for a really expensive meal. In addition, the outside firepit area on the deck where the bagpiper comes up at sunset is very cool and a great way to end a round or the day.||The rooms are very nice but not spectacular. Remodeled but smallish and still feel older in style & layout. Also, the ocean view rooms which are very expensive are really golf course view with the ocean far in the distance, kinda on the horizon. Not alot of wave and ocean sounds.||Overall very nice, but worth the price? Hmmmm, let's just say, probably won't do it again but was worth the experience once.

An amazing place! Stunning views. Welcoming staff. Rooms are 4.5 stars only because the toilet didn't work great. But otherwise perfect. Whilst visiting we had the most amazing service from John. We got to know John. Such an amazing person with excellent customer service. Very personable. Remember he said he played college ball for Hawaii. John was so attentive to our wishes. Helped Mom find a wine she liked & had a special whiskey sour that was really great. Food he recommended was very good. If you come here ask for John as your server in the outdoor seating or in the lobby! Whilst everyone there was friendly with the exception of a waitress in Roy's who was just likely having a bad day 🫤. John was truly exceptional and an asset to the Inn at Spanish Bay and made our experience worth everything to visit. 🥰

Won a live auction package at a charity golf outing last year for a 3-night/3-round stay at The Inn at Spanish Bay. This was a bucket list trip and I was fortunate that my wife joined me along with friends who also golfed. We had a fabulous time. We paid for an upgrade and upon arrival learned that they upgraded us to an executive suite. The facility was outstanding and the service exceptional across the entire resort. From the moment we arrived until we departed, the staff were top-notch first class. We arrived late morning for a noon tee time at Spanish Bay and the valet was quick to unload our rental car and unpack our golf clubs from the travel bags. Valet parking was free. We checked in a the front desk in a matter of minutes and briefly stopped by our suite before they shuttled us over to the golf course. We played all three courses at PBR and the views were absolutely stunning.||There are plenty of restaurants onsite to choose from and a fabulous patio bar (cigar friendly!) with excellent cocktails to watch the sunset and listen to the bagpiper each evening. Upon our departure, we were heading to SFO for a few days and decided to use Ship Sticks. The concierge took care of everything.||I've stayed at other golf destinations (St. Andrews, Pinehurst, etc.) and the Inn at Spanish Bay is probably now my favorite.

From start to finish, our stay at "The Inn at Spanish Bay" was gorgeous, it was beautiful, it was absolute luxury. Valet was so quick and efficient and Brenda and her knowledgeable coworkers got us checked into our rooms in no time., and what a room....balcony and fireplace with ocean and forest view was ours to enjoy along with luxury bathrobes, slippers, soap, and lotions. Honor bar was top-notch, as well as the complimentary coffee, tea, and water bar. At sunset, a time out on the beautiful patio is highly recommended while listening to the bagpiper. Highly recommend this place!

We attended the New Year’s Eve Black Tie party at The Inn at Spanish Bay and had a marvelous experience overall. The valet service was excellent; they assisted us with our car and even charged our Tesla during our stay. While waiting for our room, we dined at Roy’s. Despite the busyness, the service was attentive, and we enjoyed exploring the grounds until our room was ready. The evening’s festivities were exceptional. The hotel was beautifully showcased with gorgeous floral arrangements and holiday decor. The food was fantastic, and the evening service was nearly flawless. It was one of the best black-tie events we’ve attended in terms of food quality and attentiveness, and we plan to return with friends next year. After midnight, a delightful breakfast was served, and the open bar remained well-stocked, including an abundance of caviar. The event also featured a casino night, and we received party favors for the countdown. However, there were a few minor issues. Upon arrival, we were given an option of a balcony or patio and we requested a balcony room but were assigned a room facing the parking lot without an outside seating area. Additionally, on New Year’s Day morning, I went to order a latte and overnight oats around 11 a.m. The café was understaffed even with employees hustling and working diligently, leading to a 25-minute wait, which was challenging, especially for families standing in line with impatient children. At around 9 a.m., housekeeping knocked on our door and woke us up, apparently under the impression that we had checked out. This was unexpected, particularly after a late night of celebrations. Despite these minor inconveniences, the hotel provided a fantastic experience, and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay and will be looking forward to returning.

Overall had a really nice stay here. We got a partial scenic view room which I would argue was full scenic. We were quite impressed. The rooms were also spacious and had nice amenities like a fireplace and bench under the main window looking out over the golf course. The staff was also very friendly and eager to make sure you were having a nice stay. The only place where this fell short was in the small details. You’re paying a pretty penny to be there so I would expect everything to be top of the line. Things like the toilet paper and Kleenex in the rooms were thin paper, low quality. And we also intended to use the nice bathtub in the bathroom but it looked like it hadn’t been cleaned in several weeks so opted against. Otherwise we had a lovely stay.

I am a resident of Monterey County and my family members have a home a few blocks away from Spanish Bay. My son happend to park his car in a handicap parking spot at Spanish Bay he is a stroke survivor and senior citizen with handicap license plates. Anyways he was rudely spoken too by a young valet telling him who the hell he thought he was parking at Spanish Bay in a handicap spot. He tried to make us move my sons car which he refused to do. He had some business to conduct there which was going to take less than 15 minutes. Anyways as he walked into the building the valet was using profanity and complaining about people of colour so that I was able to hear him while I remained seated in the passanger seat of my sons vehicle. This young man was using such vulgarities and racial slurs that I found it very offensive. I even phoned Spanish Bay and asked for a manager who never came to the phone. When I mentioned what happened to the person I was speaking with I was completely blown off as if this sort of behaviour is normal for such a high end resort. My son is a senior citizen and I am even older. For this type of incident to occur is simply disgusting and outrageous Spanish Bay needs to train their employees better and definetly teach them manners. When my son got inside of Spanish Bay things weren't any better. He was also treated rudely at the front desk when he asked a question. It is obvious that Spanish Bay has a problem with people of colour or people who are handicapped. As a resident of Monterey county I would strongly advise staying elsewhere.

A gorgeous hotel with excellent service outside and inside the hotel. Quite expensive for sure but you do get a lot for the cost. Access to some of the most famous courses around too.

Yelp
Amazing event space for the Monterey County Boy & Girls Club - Comics for Kids event. A first rate event. The food was amazing. Braised short ribs were freaking amazing. I really enjoyed the pre=reception area with complementary wine and light appetizers, that include a meat and cheese display and also an ahi-tuna bit that was excellent as well. A wonderful event space for any organization and/or corporate event to showcase their company.

Yelp
TL:DR - well worth it. Spectacular view and great food A visit for just the views are spectacular. After eating you can take the walking paths down to the beach or stroll the shoreline. Pro tip. - $11.75 entrance fee to visit and will be comp'd if you want. Tell your waitress Food Pretzel and sausage - both are delicious and the sausage is like a mild spice kielbasa Clubs are hearty and yummy Drinks are awesome. Bloody Mary a are like a buffet meal. Lots of yummy items on top. Pro Tip - seagulls will steal your food so be watchful

Yelp
Had cocktails and apps here and it was by far the most breathtaking view in the Monterey peninsula. Overlooks the links and pebble beach and a bagpiper plays every evening around the 6 PM hour. I highly recommend it. Service was also very good.

Yelp
I had the wonderful opportunity to stay at the Spanish Inn for 2 days. Here are the details: Parking: The Spanish Inn offers valet parking, which is a great convenience. The staff will park your car and take care of your bags for you, so you can relax and enjoy your stay. Check-in: The staff at the front desk were very friendly and helpful. They checked me in quickly and efficiently, and they were happy to answer any questions I had about the hotel or the area. Room: The room was spacious and beautifully decorated. It had a comfortable bed, a large flat-screen TV, and a nice bathroom with a walk-in shower. The room also had a fireplace, which was a nice touch during the cold and rainy weather. Property/Location: The Spanish Inn is located in Pebble Beach, which is one of the most beautiful places in the world. The views of the golf courses and the ocean are simply stunning. The hotel also has a variety of amenities, including a fitness center, a spa, and a swimming pool. Staff: The staff at the Spanish Inn were very courteous and helpful throughout my stay. They were always willing to go the extra mile to make sure that I had a great experience. I would highly recommend staying at the Spanish Inn if you are looking for a luxurious and relaxing vacation. I look forward to coming back again soon!

Yelp
Had some drinks and cheese plate with my sister in law while we wait for our hubbies to finish golfing. Service was excellent as usual! We stayed at the back outdoor seating area to enjoy the sunset and the bagpiper. Afterwards, we headed to Roy's for dinner.

Eileen C.

Yelp
Perfect afternoon at Spanish Bay! Sat outside in the fog by the firepit so it was toasty warm. For lunch I had a huge burger and my friend had Bavarian sausage and pretzel. Wow that was good! I had to try it!! Then we walked down a trail to beach. As always, the service was perfect!!

Yelp
My husband and I stayed at the Spanish Bay 2008. Can't believe it's been that long ago, but the great memories still linger. At that time the price for the room was $850 a night. It had a fireplace, a view of the Pacific Ocean, every evening a bagpiper strolled along the grounds. Everything in the wet bar was free, except the hotel memorabilia items. We were there at Christmas, it was so charming, I'd highly recommend if you get a chance go at Christmas.

Yelp
We stayed here for several days to play the golf courses in the area. It was a wonderful place to stay. Upon checking in, we were upgraded to an ocean side room and it came with outstanding views. Our room was on the fairway of the first hole of the course so I could watch the golfers from our deck. We were also right along the path of the bagpipe player so we could see her start on the first tee and watch her as she made her way down the first hole, past our room. Almost like a personal concert. Deer were often seen on the course through our room windows. Our room was spacious. The bed was so cozy and comfy. Free snacks and sofa was replenished daily. Our first day there it was hot but the next few were chilly and the in-room fire place provided welcome warmth. There was turn down service each night with a couple chocolates as a night cap. We even took advantage of the free Lexus car rental for a couple of hours to take a scenic tour of the area in a LC 500 convertible. So fun! After golf one day, we were looking for a snack and a cocktail and ended up on the hotel patio overlooking the ocean. Again great service and food. Valet was awesome. Such great service. A service charge was added to our bill each day to accommodate tipping of valet, housekeeping, etc. Golf and restaurants not included. Hotel staff was very helpful and welcoming. Loved our stay here.

Scott A.

Yelp
Absolutely in my top three all time best places to stay. The staff, service, food and amenities were exceptional on my recent stay here. The shuttle is very prompt and will easily accommodate any needs you may have for short trips around the area. The room size and interiors are first class and provide amazing views as seen in my pic. The fitness room and pool are very nice as well. So much to do, I only regret having three nights here.

Jennifer J.

Yelp
Great service and beautiful view from the lobby bar. Outdoor seating is great. Bagpiper plays 30 min before sunset and is amazing. Great ambiance and good food too. Highly recommend the signature Manhattan to drink.

Sally S.

Yelp
First let me say, I am a local. I celebrated my birthday out by the fire pits with friends on a Sunday evening. We got there about a half hour before the guests arrived to order family size platers of the items on the menu. When I told the server what we were doing she sent the manager over and he offered to set up a couple tables to put the appetizers on, complete with heat lamps for the hot items. The server, Gabe, came over and introduced himself and catered to my every request. I can't say enough nice things about this magical evening. The bagpiper arrived at 4:30 to top off a beautiful celebration.

Alana K.

Yelp
I came here with a few friends to have a drink and see the bagpipe player close the golf course at sunset on a Saturday evening. We arrived around 4:30pm. The outdoor seating was totally packed. There was one empty table (with no chairs) that stood around. All this being said, plan ahead and get here early. The four of us ordered cocktails. They were all very good, although a bit stronger than I expected! The bagpiper was wonderful; it was really a treat to listen to such great music while watching the sun set.

Ann W.

Yelp
Excitedly, my daughter and I went to the back door seating area to enjoy some appetizers and watch the bagpiper. We've been coming for 20 years to watch!! However, because we sat in the closed section, I was rudely told to move and sit in the open section. In addition, the person working there YELLED at me to put back the menu where I was seated, with a mad look on her face. I was SHOCKED! I believe she did this because she was RACIST! Get this! She has brown skin and black hair like me!! I guess she thought she could speak to two brown women in a disrespectful manner. She would have NEVER spoken to me like that had I had white skin. I was shocked to be treated so disrespectfully at this fine establishment in the twenty-first century. I have never been treated this badly in all the twenty years I've been coming here!!

Kathy F.

Yelp
Oh my goodness...such a special Place. One of my favorite places in the world!!! It's pricey but forth the expense for a special experience!!

Melissa L.

Yelp
A gorgeous hotel that is more relaxed than the main Pebble Beach hotel. The rooms were spacious and immaculately cleaned, I loved having a door right out to the grounds. The complimentary Lexus rental feature is a fantastic way to explore downtown Carmel.

Annette N.

Yelp
Awesome!! No other words can describe the 3 night stay and golf we enjoyed at the Inn. Service was over the top especially when the employees referred to you by name. With 2 teen boys we had adjoining rooms so there was space to spread out. Each room had a timed fireplace which we used frequently for the chilly mornings and evenings. Shuttle service is available to each of the golf courses on the half hour. The courses are challenging and since the LPGA was just over the weekend the roughs had not been trimmed back yet. Add in the morning fog and you cannot see your drives off the first several holes. Challenge!! Roy's Restaurant was the usual good food and service. All in all, you expect a lot for the money you spend and you get more than that here.

Kaiwan C.

Yelp
I'll start out by saying that I have now stayed once at both The Lodge at Pebble Beach and the Inn at Spanish Bay. Both properties are owned by Pebble Beach Resorts but offer subtle differences in experience. While the Lodge feels more intimate with a small Check In area and no real lobby to speak of, the Inn resembles a more classic hotel experience with a sizeable lobby/lounge area, lots of patio space with fire pits and even a ballroom. Each resort has its place. Both are pricey but, imho, both properties are worth the splurge. If I were to review the Inn on its own I would give it 4.5 stars (rounded to 5). The hotel itself is beautiful. The concierge staff was amazing with my family. The rest of the staff also exemplified great service. The rooms were well appointed, housekeeping did a great job, dining on property was good as well. My family stayed over New Years weekend and, while the weather was not very cooperative, I can still say we all had a great time, from experiencing the bagpiper at sunset to NYE dinner at Hay's Place, to visiting the Monterey Bay aquarium only 15 min away. Now, if I were framing this review as the Lodge vs. the Inn, I think the Lodge edges the Inn out slightly. When it comes to view, I think the Lodge wins. It is sort of situated overlooking a cove and the 18th green and is much closer to the beach. While the views at The Inn are also lovely, I can't help but feel like I'm a little too far away from the water. Also on this subject, be aware that forest view may really just refer to a a view of a few trees, scenic view will give you a look at a sliver of ocean and the balconies of other rooms and anything below that you might be staring at a parking lot. Both resorts demonstrated great service but I feel like they really went above and beyond at The Lodge (separate review) while at The Inn we had to kind of persuade/negotiate things a bit more. The Inn, however, wins when it comes to proximity to Monterey and Carmel. This made eating or doing things off resort significantly easier. And it was more alive in general which was great when trying to entertain our daughter while it was too wet to go outside. I should also mention we did get a discounted rate at the Inn which was nice. So overall, I'll be back im sure. And I would still recommend staying here. Next time I'll probably pick a different room and hopefully the weather will cooperate more. Or maybe I'll check out the Lodge. Honestly, you can't really lose either way.

Zean C.

Yelp
Super posh and nice hotel. The rooms are big with balconies. The bathroom is extras large as well with a tub and a stand up shower. The rooms is equipped with a coffee maker and hot water kettle. They have a fridge full of drinks for purchase. Bath robes and slippers are provided. No valet at this time of Covid. Self parking only. They have a Roy's Restaurant in the property as well as a Pebble Beach Golf/Gift shop. They have a Sand bag Piper who plays and walks around the golf area around 4:45 pm for 1 hour. Pretty cool to watch.

Tina M.

Yelp
We came here after driving around the 17 mile drive. We were going to have dinner here at Roys. We roamed around the premises a bit. The patio and garden area was lovely. Perfect to sit around and have a cup of coffee or a glass of wine. The best thing about it is the view of the course and the ocean. So peaceful. The kids and our dog enjoyed running around. Next time, we will check in, reading the reviews seems like it is quite a stay at this place.

Jasmine S.

Yelp
GO HERE TO WATCH THE SUNSET. You must go when the bagpipes are playing, starts at 545 pm. The crowd is very bougie. Like if you're nails are chipped people might look at you crazy. Drinks are expensive nothing special. But, the view, the milieu was just so wonderful..it's something that must be experienced by everyone. Ig - masturplater

Allyson B.

Yelp
Beautiful place, excellent service. The our fees include tipping so no need to tip anyone (but always a nice bonus for workers.)

Ann N.

Yelp
AMAZING does not fully describe our weekend here. We have not stayed at any resort or hotel since March 2020 so wanted to make sure the next place we do stay at is safe and respectful of our healthy and safety. AND this resort surely did. Best weekend to be here! Best service! Best resort! COVID social distance respected and accepted in every part of the hotel. The moment we arrived, it has been nonstop compliments from us about this hotel. We drive up, a few attendants are there to help you out of the car and also get your bags. Due to COVID, you will have to park your car but it's not very far. You go in to check in, touchless. You're given your key and follow a host who walks you to the room. All the rooms are huge and spread out to we had a little walk to our room but did not mind at all. The bellman had our cart with luggage right in back of us. Room 1522, you are perfect! Fairway, huge room, and uber clean. We did a wipe down with our own disinfecting wipes and now we unpack and ready to unwind and enjoy every park of the resort. There's many walkways for you to get to the shoreline. It's not crowded so you can really enjoy the peace and quiet and feel like a real get away. We did room service for food from Roy's. Cannot complain at all. Remember the food is delivered in to-go containers but we were ok with that. I didn't want to leave but had to go. Will definitely want to come back soon whenever I need a nice staycation

K B.

Yelp
Food....5 stars. Everything on the menu (we were in a party of 13) was nothing short of good. My bitch (some may find me unreasonable)....I asked for couple checks....met with an emphatic "no"....attempted (without success) to negotiate but she wasn't having any of it. Made the customer experience, at the end of the night, cumbersome. Customer first at a joint we paid almost $2,000 to????

Korey S.

Yelp
If you are looking for a perfectly cooked meal and some of the best cocktails on the west coast, do yourself a favor by stopping into traps at Spanish Bay and ask for Jenn. My wife and I make it a point to stop into the best restaurants and bars every time we're in a new state and we will most definitely be coming back every chance we get thanks to the amazing hospitality and experience that Spanish Bay offers. Jenn was not only very kind but also very knowledgeable. She had amazing detailed descriptions of the menu and her knowledge regarding alcohol is unmatched. She even had some amazing recommendations for fun things to do while we were in town for vacation. If I could offer more than 5 stars I would! We will definitely be back!

Katharine B.

Yelp
The renovated rooms at the Inn and new lobby are very bright and welcoming. From the moment you arrive at the Inn, you are greeted by a friendly bellman and then escorted inside to the check-in desk. Our keys were ready and our bags were taken to our room upon arrival. The lobby has a very open feel and breathtaking view of the water and golf course. Roy's is also off of the lobby as well as an outdoor patio with fire pit. I loved my stay at the Inn and it is one of the most beautiful places I have been to. ROOMS: Updated with brighter fluffy bedding, fridge with snacks and drinks (certain snacks like chips are complimentary), coffee machine, fireplace, large TV and desk area. The bathrooms and dressing area are huge and I loved the deep Kohler bathtub. The towels are large and plush and the toiletries from Pebble Beach spa are very invigorating. They do come in sizes over 3 oz though so check your bag or use the products there. The artwork in the hallways is also very unique and is decorated with local cypress trees and scenes from area. There is a turn-down service where slippers, water and chocolate are laid out. RESTAURANTS: We dined at both Peppoli and Roy's and both were outstanding. VIEWS: Oceanview rooms are the most scenic and you can see the golf course and water. All in all, the Inn is a beautiful place to stay with the most gorgeous views and surroundings. The dining is amazing and staff extremely hospitable. You can purchase US open and Pebble Beach attire at the shops and stay where the best golf players in the world have stayed.

Christine A.

Yelp
Always a lovely place to eat and enjoy a drink on the patio in front of the fire. The sliders were great and the sparking rose was perfect. They are doing the best they can during Covid and the place was full. We had to wait quite a while to be seated, so make reservations.

Julie K.

Yelp
Impeccable - from the service to the amenities to the killer views. Loved our weekend stay which was filled with sunshine and great hospitality.

Sandra R.

Yelp
We came to watch the nightly tradition of the closing of the course with the bagpipe player. It was packed! They have lots of tables and lounge area outside with fire pits and heaters and a lovely view! It can get chilly fast, so dress in layers! We ventured inside for a fabulous meal at Roys. Excellent meal of fresh grilled fish...(try the pineapple martini, too!) We took an Uber out here and back from our hotel in downtown Monterey. We suggest pre scheduling your return ride since it is about 15 min away, seamless experience!

Mark O.

Yelp
Oh Spanish Bay, how I love thee. Bath towels so big, thick and soft you want them for your home. (But we didn't) A king-size bed with warm blankets and a plush comforter almost guarantee a great night sleep. A gas fireplace not only warms up the room, but provides ambiance. Rooms are very, very large. I recommend spending a few dollars extra for an ocean view room on the bottom floor. From there you can open your sliding door and walked directly out onto the grass, the golf course or even the beach a few hundred yards away. Hotel staff including porters, valets and maids are all friendly and willing to help with whatever you need. I really enjoyed the hotel bar. They have a great selection of wine from throughout California's coastal regions. Self parking is free but valet parking is also free. Gratuity is included in your stay. I want to come back again soon.

Tim D.

Yelp
Change your room reservation policy. Upon check in we were told that we were going to have to have a room with 2 queens instead of the king we reserved. We had reserved a block of three rooms, one which included the suite for over $5000/night. No couple that reserves a room wants to sleep in separate beds unless they request that. We were told that we should have been told by reservations that this could happen upon check in. We have traveled all over the world. This is not a normal practice and if we would had know that anyone of us could get this surprise at check in, we would have taken our business somewhere else. Then when asked to provide us a room with a king available, management denied our request for a available room as an upgrade and rather decided to provide us with a king room in a downgraded class. There was an opportunity to make the customer feel better and want to return but Mgmt made the decision to downgrade, taking the cheaper route and in the process losing what could be returning customers. Very disappointing and short sighted. We won't return and we represent 3 couples.

Quilla W.

Yelp
This is a beautiful hotel and the service is premiere! 20% gratuities are incorporated in your stay which can be high, but you appreciate the full transparency of the staff because if you should forget and leave a tip them they remind you that your gratuity is included which I thought was an honorable system. The service is impeccable, the food is great, selection & services also great. The ambience is second to none! I look forward to going again. It was worth every cent!

Amanda M.

Yelp
I was not a guest here, so I can not speak to any of that. However, I thoroughly enjoyed some wine on the patio while waiting for the infamous bag piper to give the nightly performance. It was chilly, but blankets are provided and there are several fire pits that were putting off the heat. My suggestion though is to grab one of the tables down on the grass because that's where the bag piper will finish his performance- right in front of you. Beautiful views. Walk the trails or head to the beach for a walk afterwards.

Manny G.

Yelp
Amazing views, Amazing wait staff and Great drinks. Oh yea there is a cat playing the bagpipes at sunset. All very cool. This should be on every ones bucket list.

Brad G.

Yelp
Bag pipes at 5:45pm on the outdoor patio next to the 18th green. What a great day! We will be back!

Brian T.

Yelp
Didn't get food here besides the apps- which were good. We had the pretzel, chicken wings, cheese plate and hummus. All of it was good, especially the calamari- we went late at night to watch the bag piper which was awesome. I'll go back and get the food at some point. The back also has fire heated lounging areas. Beautiful view of the golf course.

This Review is for the outside patio area where there are fire pits, a lawn, and an outside open seated bar all with fan-freaking-tastic views of the beautiful coastline. One star lost for not being very wheelchair friendly - the lobby is - but the spectacular fire pit patio beyond the lobby, is not. It costs 10.50 to get into the 17 mile drive forest which takes you to the hotel, there is guest parking outside of the hotel lobby, and some nights they even have jazz, that can be very lively and fun. I go to relax by the fire pits, Ive used their complimentary blankets, too, which is awesome to have. I have a glass of wine and the hummus. Vegan or plant based tip *substitute the Naan bread for veggies (they do not have vegan/dairy-free options otherwise - hence another 1 star down. I saw the impossible burger on the menu last night but the server said it was not vegan. Not just "vegan" but how many thousands of people are lactose intolerant? Restaurants should get with it, faster). The hummus plate included a nice heap of the hummus, fresh made and very good, as well as; celery sticks, carrot sticks, a nice splattering of mixed olives, large slices of cucumber, and tomatoes, sitting atop a small bit of arugula. It's pretty good. Last night I had a beer and hummus, and my server was good. People-watched, and watched the sunset. A magical place.

Yelp
By far, the most impressive property I've ever encountered . Spanish Bay anticipate your every need and delivers. From the lobby bar to the restaurants and the bar, the fire pits, the wonderful bagpiper who arrives on the bluff at 5 pm...Everything is perfect. We were escorted to our lovely room and given a walk-through of all the amenities including the fireplace-the liquor store caliber minibar the beautiful bathroom.... Loved every minute being there can't wait to return!

Yelp
This is one of my favorite hotels , from the moment you check in until checkout staff is amazing. The Valet / Bellmen are always so polite and helpful, front desk staff and the person who escorts you to your room also very nice and helpful , wait staff at the patio fire pits area are super nice as well The rooms are comfortable, comfortable beds , large bathrooms , fireplace with multiple timer settings , love getting room with patio area that opens to grass and short walk to patio to watch bagpipes player at sunset The Pool is heated and gives you access to sauna / steam room , juice bar. Free coffee in lobby every morning is nice

Yelp
Brought the family up to Pebble Beach for Christmas. There was a centennial celebration package for 2 night stay and 2 rounds of golf for under $1500 per room. Can't let that pass by. Arrived at Inn at Spanish Bay, and we were impressed. Everything looks amazing and high class. Checked in, and everyone were very courteous. We were even escorted to our room. We got the forest view room with a fireplace. Room was large and 2 nice queen size beds. Some complimentary items in the mini bar ( chocolate, sodas, pretzel, water bottles). The resort is doing major renovations, and our room was one of the freshly renovated. Very nice. Watched the bagpiper from the fire pit bar, and it was a nice touch. Very cold and windy, and unfortunately we arrived a bit late, and all the seats were taken. Had to sit on the grass, but that's ok. PB resort allow you to borrow their in-house Lexus cars for a couple hours. Saw an LC500 parked outside and had inquire to see if that's available. It was and I just had to do it. Wow, that was an amazing car. Nice collaboration between PB resort and Lexus. I will review the golf courses (Pebble Beach and Spyglass separately). Overall, everyone had an awesome time.

Yelp
Monterey's Second Bay By R. M. S. Thornton The Sun sets over the horizon Its rays paint the ocean with red stripes While we huddle around the firepits Under the chime of bagpipes My friends and I loudly chatter As others ask us to keep it down a notch But we pay them no attention Like we're on Epstein's suicide watch We see the golf course in the distance Rolling hills, green and majestic And drunk women in their forties Behaving far from domestic And as the cool breeze invades the twilight The young waitresses become visibly nauseous As middle-aged men take their shots at them Like their Arkansas governors in the Oval Office Then the smell of food from Roy's Eloquently soothes our senses While children stammer and play On the weathered, wooden fences And as the valets park fancy cars Belonging to men of high social gradation We all try not to laugh at Their obvious overcompensation It's a place of wonder and beauty Where patrons garnish ridiculous outfits So absurd, they should be illegal Not even Jonny Cochran would acquit You can traverse the board walk to the water Hear the waves crash louder than a congressional committee It's a lot like the one in Santa Cruz But without the rides, drugs and dirty hippies And sure, some say they prefer the Lodge But really, it's just a sideshow For if the Inn is Michael The Lodge is undoubtably Fredo So, if you're looking to relax Sip Irish coffee and eat sorbet Come to the jewel of Pebble Beach To Monterey's Second Bay © Copyright 2019 by R. Yelp
Very nice resort. Doormen you're greet you at the door. When you check in they walk you all the way to your room. Very nice restaurants and bar. The rooms are warm and mine had a nice fireplace. The view was spectacular. Good coffee and fresh muffins for sale in the morning.

Yelp
Haven't been back to Inn at Spanish Bay in years, but I remember how spectacular it is.. I have stayed here couple of times and have fond sentimental memories here. Haven't stayed at the Lodge yet? Stellar service and excellent restaurant options. Grounds and hotel rooms are exquisite and luxe. They will be fully booked for the 2019 US Open & 100 year Pebble Beach anniversary. Fully books out for annual Pebble Beach Concours d'Elegance event too. So def plan in advance.. Definitely worth your while to stop in, explore, dine - even if you don't stay overnight.

Yelp
We came to Pebble Beach for my wife's birthday with 4 couples. I began planning in 2/21 for a 6/21 trip. We opted for the cheapest room (you have to book 2 night min to be allowed to book tee times) and we were not disappointed. The place is always pretty full but I never felt like it was crowded. It was almost a once in a lifetime trip (I hope I get a chance to return) in that it cost an arm and a leg, but I don't regret any of it. Well worth it. Location/Hotel: The hotel is located in a tiny community and has many different small roads that can be a tad confusing. It is located as part of the 17 mild drive along the cost. The one thing to note is that it is 3-4 miles away (I think) or a 20ish min shuttle ride to the actual Pebble beach course (with spyglass being in between). Very beautiful landscaping and surrounding. I believe it is only 3 stories high. Did not feel like a huge resort. The hotel was very clean and quiet. Service: Fantastic throughout. From the moment we were dropped off, we felt pampered. The bellman and front desk people were very polite and helpful. I felt this every where at Pebble. They had a unique charge of $28 daily that went towards tips and gratuity. So you never felt obligated to keep tipping. All employees also was quick to point this out. Definitely 5 star service. We had to check out by 1pm, but stayed to play another round. They held our bags and allowed us to freshen up at the Spanish Bay Club. Room: Very spacious. We had the basic forest room but it didn't feel basic. The bed was comfy with big pillows. There were 2 sitting chairs around a small table as well as another chair at the counter. There is a fridge with complimentary soda. There is also complimentary snacks. They also have a coffee maker (they serve comp coffee every morning in the lobby) and hot pot for use. We also had a nice large balcony. My only complaint was that our room was at the very end of resort and was a nice hike. We did find out that we could walk around the hotel (avoid the lobby) and it was a tad shorter. Bathroom was large. Small shower though but nice water pressure. Great bathroom amenities and the towels were super soft. Wifi was strong throughout property. lots of plugs, no usb charger though. Amenities: Loved the fact that you could walk to the SB golf course. We ate at Roy's and had an amazing meal. There is a Shuttle service that takes you to the other places. But you have to factor that time in. If you miss it, you would have to wait another 30 mins. Another cool thing they offer is to "test drive" a lexus. They have 3-4 cars at each of the resort that you could reserve in 2 hr blocks. This was really cool and we took advantage of it. We had a lovely time and it was definitely worth the price to stay there. Would love the chance to visit again.

Yelp
The Inn at Spanish Bay Plays 2nd Fiddle to The Pebble Beach Lodge Located way on the opposite Side of the 17th mile drive Than the herein SB next to Pacific Grove. The feel is alittle more Rustic than elegant More casual than formal More off the radar than on.

Yelp
Went here on a quick weekend trip from the Bay Area. The experience was top notch and 5 stars all around. We got the ocean view room which was perfect during the day. The rooms were very clean and the staff was attentive. We booked the Lexus and did 17 mile drive which is well worth it. After that we had lunch at the bench, then did the bag piper show which is highly recommended. Get there early for a good spot by the fire pits. We ended the night with Pèppoli dinner.

Yelp
Great place to relax and enjoy the view. Staff here is incredibly eager to treat everyone. Masks are on and very distanced seating is available.

Yelp
Excellent service, excellent staff and an amazing location. The Inn at Spanish Bay does everything right. From the time you arrive, until your departure. Even during Car Week, you will not find a single reason to not be happy with everything at Spanish Bay.

Yelp
Expensive, but quality food & drink. Understaffed... I should NEVER have to flag down a server in this type of setting. Grounds & view are beautiful. Remodeling is mandatory in a facility like this, so go with the flow. Overpriced, unless you realize you're paying for the experience. Best enjoyed by someone without mobility issues, but beach access is accessible.

Yelp
Gorgeous setting and loved the Bagpipe player. Food was delicious at Roy's Restaurant.

Yelp
Always a stellar experience and the service is impeccable. The firepits on the patio- the view- the restaurants... it's all lovely! Last year the staff went above and beyond to make it a special experience for my husband and I on his birthday... I was also surprising him with the news that I was pregnant. One of the Directors, Justin Cambier, made sure that every last detail was completed to make the evening perfect. He had arranged for a "birthday gift" to be delivered to my husband while we were having dinner at Peppoli Resaturant to help with the announcement. Almost the entire staff in the restaurant came by our table to congratulate my husband on the news. Justin and the team at Spanish Bay made the evening a night that we will never forget. We just went back for my husbands birthday again to celebrate. It's a special place to us... and I'm certain will be one of our traditions for many years to come. Thank you Spanish Bay!
