We got there and they gave us a tour of the place, it was cute. We picked it because its supposed to be one of the best B&B in Vermont.. I disagree... the lady (Siovan) gave us a tour of the place and brought us to our room, and you pay for the room you select because each room has different features. So she brought us to the room we originally selected, but we called and changed our room in the beginning of December because we didn't like the original one selected, we got a confirmation email and everything that we had successfully changed rooms. Well, when we tell her it's the wrong room, she tells us mostly that we are lying, until my spouse shows her the email, then she just says its a system error and never apologizes. I ask her if the place is sold out, she says yes and says the room we wanted is already taken and that its mostly that room, or we have to find a different place to stay. So we take the room, the wall paper in the room looks like it has faces in it, and literally gave me nightmares. We asked for the Sterling Room because of all the windows, and we wanted to enjoy the landscape, instead we got the Sherman Room, which had three small windows, and you had to sit on the floor next to them to be able to see anything other than the grass below.
It was super hot in the room because we were on the second floor, to the point where we turned off the heat in the room and had our windows open the entire time, (it was 2 degrees outside). It was so dry in the room that on Sunday when I woke up, I sat up out of bed and got a bloody nose because of it, (I never get bloody noses). The beds are one of the memory foam beds, which is fine until you have a girl like me with a big butt, and I turn over, and the memory foam is still formed to my butt, so now im sleeping in a damn hole in the mattress. The walls were also super thin, so we got woken up every morning to the women next door blow drying their hair and got to listen to their conversations, so we felt like we had to whisper in our private room, because other people could hear us. It was super quiet there, and we felt like we had to whisper in the hallways, which was really awkward as well.
Part of being there was they fed us breakfast as well, but they didn't give us a choice on the breakfast, it was more like "this is what we are serving, if you don't like it too bad" kind of thing. So I had to eat around half the stuff they made because it wasn't something I liked... Imostly didn't eat until lunch.
Not once when we were walking through the building or anything did any of the people there ask us how our stay was.
THEN when we went to leave, we told the woman who we were checking out with that we were supposed to receive an email from the whole check-in debacle, she goes to say "O well we gave you an upgraded room". It is not an upgraded room if we specifically asked for a different one, and we didn't want this one. They gave us 15% off our bill, but we still paid WAY too much money for something that I don't find to be even half what it is worth.
Very disappointed, the only time nice time we ended up having was when we left the building. We would not recommend this place.
