The Inside House

My husband and I had an absolutely AMAZING time staying at The Inside House as part of our honeymoon. We were blown away!!! I truly cannot say enough positive things about this hotel. It was a magical experience from start to finish. The property, the service, the food, the location within the city, everything was perfect. The attention to detail by the staff was phenomenal and made for a truly luxurious stay. We stayed in two different rooms during our visit (standard king and the king pool suite) and both were gorgeous and exactly as pictured, if not better. The complementary afternoon tea is above and beyond with so many delicious treats and drink options. It’s even delivered to your room upon request if you’re staying in a suite. But it’s so hard to pass up the gorgeous ambiance of the courtyard dining area so we mostly opted to have ours out there. The staff are absolutely what make the hotel so exceptional however. They were incredibly attentive during our entire stay, and we felt so taken care of. Would absolutely recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Chiang Mai. What an amazing, 5 star luxury experience. We can’t wait to go back someday!

Staying at the inside house felt like a dream. The warm and caring service from the staff made us feel so taken care of. The aesthetic of the entire hotel, from the rooms, to the lobby, and to the dining room left us in awe. The afternoon tea was a lovely experience for our stay! We even got cute honeymoon decor, pastries, and a hand written note set up in our room! They gave us sandwiches upon departure for the road as well. We miss chiang mai and the inside house already. The most thoughtful hotel we've ever stayed at. We will definitely be coming back!

The Inside House is definitely a place I would come back to Chiang Mai for. Everything was impressive—from the thoughtful email communication before our stay to the moment we walked into the hotel. The whole place has a calming herbal scent, and the staff are incredibly warm and welcoming. Afternoon tea and breakfast were generous and delicious. We truly felt the sincerity in their hospitality, especially with the special arrangements for our birthday and anniversary. The room amenities are top-notch, even down to the toothpaste, bath products, and hair dryer. Since we booked directly through the official website, they also arranged a private transfer to our next hotel—our driver even gave us a little city tour along the way. Overall, The Inside House is an amazing hotel. A must-stay when visiting Chiang Mai!Looking forward to visiting again.

The Inside House, located within the Old City, is an incredibly peaceful and authentic escape. From the moment you enter, the atmosphere feels serene, intimate, and beautifully true to northern Thai style. The service is exceptional — the staff are some of the kindest and most attentive you’ll ever meet. Every need is anticipated, from a personalized pillow menu to afternoon snacks quietly delivered during turndown service. The restaurant is outstanding as well, offering a wonderful breakfast and a relaxing afternoon tea that perfectly complements the calm setting. Overall, this hotel feels like a genuinely authentic yet luxurious Thai experience. It’s the perfect place to unwind, recharge, and enjoy Chiang Mai at its very best.

After ending our tour by staying in a travellers hotel outside of Chiang Mai we moved to the inside house. From the moment we arrived we were treated as special guests. Nothing over the top and fake. Just very genuine and caring staff.|I had planned to have a massage elsewhere but decided to treat myself to an in house massage. Dearer than down the road but so much more pleasant. A lovely lady named Fai made me very comfortable and shared her recipe for sticky rice and mango pudding whilst preparing me for a divine massage. |The staff in the restaurant were very attentive and the food was lovely. The included afternoon tea was sublime. Please don’t be put off by the main photo on their website. This hotel is very classy. The guest pool was a lovely oasis. The doorman was very obliging and helped us with getting a tuk tuk. As you can tell we just loved it here.

This dreamy flowery paradise was our first stay in Chiang Mai. From the time they met us at the airport to the moment we checked out the service was beyond anything we’ve experienced even at 5 star luxury resorts around the world. This was our second stay in Thailand for a 10 week Southeast Asia trip and I wish we could have stayed longer. We had a very late check in but they greeted us with cold wet towels and a refreshing tea. Upon entering the beautifully acquainted room we had a bottle of rose, a stocked mini fridge and a handwritten note written to us. There service was so effortless but top notch. They started to learn our routines and likes when coordinating room cleaning, turn down service or even when we went for the meals. Their food is really good and we enjoyed the afternoon teas they offered. They provided us with a departure gift of a notebook and three small elephant figurines we had been admiring during our stay. Every detail was thought out whether that was providing us with directions when they saw us leaving for the day or recommendations of what we would enjoy. As someone who had traveled all around the world, this was by far the best customer service we’ve ever experienced. Any small requests are filled immediately and the happiness of the staff is infectious! I will definitely be back. Thank you The Inside House staff for all your hospitality!!! You made our stay the most memorable and it was hard to leave for our next adventure in Mae Rim.

Throughout our stay, the service at Ghin (the hotel restaurant) was exceptional, Chai and Som were incredibly attentive, anticipating our needs before we even asked. The Inside House isn’t just beautiful in design; it’s beautiful because of the people who serve with sincerity and joy. Every detail, every interaction, reflects genuine hospitality. We left feeling refreshed, cherished, and already missing everyone there. Thank u for the sandwich prepared, it’s made with love m we enjoyed it. Thank you, Inside House team, you’ve truly raised the bar for what “home away from home” means.

Amidst the chaos of the lantern festival, the service provided by the Inside House exceeded expectations. The concierge team was on it - constantly caring for everyone’s needs promptly. The food at the restaurant was incredible, we loved breakfast, tea time and had lunch/dinner numerous times. The folks at the restaurant were wonderful and I wish I got their names - but they provided great local recommendations and were such a pleasure to meet. The spa is very relaxing and I recommend getting a massage!! I hope to come back to this beautiful hotel.
