"Get surprised with this magnificent terrace bar & restaurant (only opened for dinner from 18:00h), facing one of the city's most beautiful lookout points it provides one the most astonishing views of Lisbon. Don't forget to take the old elevator to the top and get surprised with the ambience, the décor, its rituals and menu. This place is unusual, hence the name *Insólito*" - Musa WorkLab

The food was really amazing and worth the money. The view as well! Its a place for good looking rich people of course, but still with normal clothes and appearance you still get treated like a queen! The service was superb. And I wish I could say thank you to the chefs! They turned normal vegetables into a master piece

Google
had a great dinner here! the food was really good. my favourite was the amberjack but every single dish was genuinely good. we got 6 plates, 1 dessert and many glasses of wine and port. the service was really attentive too, they let us sit outside and have a drink when we arrived early, and moved us to a more comfortable table at our request once we moved indoors for dinner. 5 star experience!

Google
We had a drink at the rooftop bar - great view of Lisbon towards the castle. Restaurant is inside on same floor as bar. Service attentive and knowledgeable on local wines. Sharing plates generous. We had four between two of us and that was more than enough. Booking essential.

We came to Insolito initially to have a nice sunset view but were blown away by the food. We had 4 dishes and 1 dessert and there was nothing negative to say about all of them. Even the cocktail creations were amazing, including the attentive service. We liked it so much, we are going back in a few days to try the other dishes.

Google
Just wow. Incredible food, amazing views from the roof terrace, fantastically atmospheric place - from the elevator ride up, to the eclectic decor, the mind blowing menu and delicious wines. One of the best meals we’ve ever eaten, delivered by amazing service, and we even got the pleasure of talking with the chef. An absolute must visit, however long you are staying in Lisbon. We will definitely be visiting again. Thank you Insolito!

Google
The food is crazy and amazing - the chef combines a variety of flavours. Deserts are too crazy, to be honest, but also good. The vibe is perfect and the staff is incredibly nice. The rooftop has a live dj and an amazing view.

Google
Wow wow wow this place was incredible, from the quirky elevator to the amazing view from the bar over the city. We had no previous information about the restaurant but loved the look on the menu. We were blown away by the food, the katsusando was by far the star of our night with the prawns a close second, mushroom and meringue ice cream was a great shock but advised by one of the staff I was very happy I chose this, amazing. A final note we had a great 10 min chat with the head chef, it was a great experience to hear little stories about the dishes. 10/10 can’t wait to come back so much so we are looking into staying at the hotel the restaurant is attached too.

Google
Great drinks, great food, great ambiance on the rooftop with a friendly staff. Few misc notes: - Staff speaks English well - The tiny elevator can only really hold one person (it’s the oldest running private residence elevator?). I’d recommend taking the stairs if you are able, it is only 3 flights - They accept cash or card - Rooftop is associated with the hotel+hostel, so folks staying there get one free drink, but this drink is limited to a selection of drinks

Yelp
Wonderful Place to view the evening of Lisbon, with extraordinary small plates that are unusual and tasty! Must ride the ancient lift to the 3rd floor!

Yelp
We can have Excellent view from terrace and delicious original food! And service also was great. A classic elevator to this restaurant (3F) is the most oldest one in Lisbon.

Yelp
Oh, Insólito, where have you been all my life. With you panoramic views and cool cocktails, you are the prefect venue for any Lisbon sunset. Obviously, Insólito's rooftop lounge is the best spot in Lisbon for all those who love cocktails and conversation. The knowledgable staff will guide you to the most intriguing ports and wines imaginable (Thanks, Andrea). However, no drink at Insólito would be complete without a yummy nibble which they serve up here all too well. I really enjoy the chicken liver pate; served in a shot glass with a tasty layer of jam, this taste treat was just perfect. Insólito has a speakeasy feel, which certainly adds to its charm. Traveling up on its historic elevator soon opens up a magical rooftop experience not to be missed.

Yelp
We had a wonderful evening here. Beautiful rooftop spot with great music and a fantastic view. The dinner is a fixed menu. Some were a hit and a few misses but overall a very good experience. I would recommend and I would return if ever in Lisbon again.

Yelp
It was not my second or even third time here. I've to confess it's a little annoying the way they use find you a table, specially when you realize the place is far away to be fully booked. The deco is "sui generis "; the first time you think is cool ; the times after you realize is really low cost. The food was good but not outstanding. But paying more then €40 for the all meal ( starters, main dish, desert, just water and no coffee) felt too much Too expensive

Yelp
Where do I begin!! Hands down the most welcoming restaurant experience my friend and I had while visiting Lisbon! The waiter who served us was so nice and willingly engaged in conversation. The food was really delicious. The only thing I wasn't a fan of was the chocolate mousse like dessert. The texture wasn't my fave. However everything else we ate was delicious. I sometimes fantasize about going back there to have another serving of the 4 hour slow cooked lamb... ooh sooo tender, moist and perfect!!

Yelp
Wow. Service: best we've had in Spain or Portugal. Atmosphere: sit by the wall, unbelievable view and excellent vibe. Food: out of this world--we had the lobster ravioli to share, the filet, and the scallop ramen... to die for. Best restaurant we've eaten at in a long time. More expensive than most in the area, but WORTH. Next time I'm in Lisbon :P.

Yelp
I had the best meal in here! It's a hotel, a restaurant, a bar and a rooftop bar with beautiful views over the castle and the sea. We started with a glass of port outside in the rooftop bar before continuing on inside for our dinner. The service was exceptional, professional and friendly. For starters we had homemade duck pate with fresh bread and olive oil and smoked duck carpacchio which came with a side of their house cocktail. Wonderful presentation, wonderful flavours, just perfect in size. For our mains we chose tuna filet on sweet potato and spinach and pork belly with clams in bacon foam. The sommelier tried his best to match a red with our mains and he did really well finding a local wine that complemented both our dishes. Unfortunately I have no pictures of this divine experience, the food was so good I forgot all about the pictures!

Yelp
Fabulous! If you're looking for top tier Portuguese cuisine with a twist, check this out. After many days of bacalhau/cod, sausage, cheeses, etc it was time for something outside'traditional' cuisine. Insolito was gourmet all the way at a very fair price. Solid wine menu, fairly prompt (for Portugal ) and attentive service, and a cool restaurant space. Use the old style, 3 person lift to the third floor and you're on your way to something unique. Duck wontons were stellar. The suckling pig with grapes was inspired. Yum!

Yelp
Let's be honest. This is a cute location with clever bohemian decor, and *if* the weather is nice and you are *somehow* able to secure one of the two tables with views overlooking the city, it's a cool spot to dine. If the weather is not ideal or you do not get one of those two tables...The food itself is totally edible though not memorable. The exorbitant prices seem to be based on a dubious understanding of presentation and concept. I ordered a bunch of things and left unimpressed. It's all about getting those coveted spots on the terrace on a night with good weather

Yelp
Hands down. Best meal of my life. Creative, multisensory (our lamb empanada came out on a bed of smoking oak leaves and our pineapple dessert came out singing), and absolutely delicious. Good service, beautiful view and just perfect atmosphere. Also, going up in the oldest elevator in Lisbon is quite the experience in of itself. Make a reservation in advance. They fill up. Also note they are closed on Sundays. We has a group of 3, so had a 4 top table and plenty of intimacy. I did note that the 2-tops were VERY close together. I would have been uncomfortable on a date...

Yelp
Located right next to the Decadente restaurant (amazing restaurant by itself), this is another top notch restaurant in Lisbon. Seriously, what have I ever done to deserve all this goodness? Absolutely spotless service, uber friendly staff, went out of their way to prepare beautifully cooked, full of flavor vegan dishes especially for us. Lovely rustic decor and perfect ambiance. Together with the adjacent Decadente, these are truly Lisbon's finest restaurants. Not to be missed. Make reservations.

Yelp
This restaurant is located on top of the Independent Hostel and Suites. My wife and myself ended up her based on great Yelp reviews. I was a little put-off by the entrance. You have to walk through old looking, tacky velvet curtains and go up an old rickety elevator. I got the initial impression that the place didn't look clean but it may be the urban look that they're trying to project. The service was slow. It took about 40 minutes before we eventually got our food. The food was great once we got it. My wife had their bass and I had their grilled lamb chops. The combination of herbs and flavors were new to us. We enjoyed the food. Reservations probably advisable although we were able to walk-in. They have an excellent bar. They have delicious desserts and good coffee. I understand they have an outside patio with an outstanding view which I did not get to check-out. I was bordering between a 3.5 to 4 but ended up deciding on giving them a 4.

Yelp
A fun and friendly rooftop bar with great service, incredible beer and even better Negronis - I'm Italian and I'll swear by them.

Yelp
Really amazing food and chic decor. We loved the lamb and the venison. Wine and cocktails were great too. The restaurant is in a scenic area you can hang out and listen to music outside after you eat. There is an awesome rooftop but we weren't able to sit on the roof without a reservation, so maybe call ahead.

Yelp
What a great find. We were walking by and decided to try. Boy, were we pleased! Fabulous rooftop bar and restaurant. Fantastic cocktails and bartender. Great cuisine. The lamb was special. Ceviche delicious. And the view was just an added bonus

Yelp
The restaurant is beautiful and the view is amazing. The food is excelent but the staff really need supervising. I heard swearing and I had to wait for service while three waiters argued. Moreover, the staff need to get acquainted with the menu. Try this place only if you're feeling patient. The food is totally worth it.

Yelp
Great view of the city. Perfect place to sit on rooftop and have a drink or nice dinner. Great wine. Food was good but not the best I have ever had. That said, I would definitely go back.
