This is a very unique set of hotel suites on the second floor of a historic building in downtown Duluth. Our suite was modern, comfortable and clean. The location has a historic vibe with access to pubs, bakery, cafes, entertainment venues and shops along Superior Street. Also very convenient to nearby hospital complex. Self check-in is easy, management very helpful via phone/text/email.

My suite had the best view in town of the lake. I was able to take a stroll along the lake after I arrived and walk to multiple restaurants. On Wednesday evening, I worked at the table and looked out at sailboats on the lake like it was a painting in my room. It was so quiet there too. |If you go, request Suite #5 (hopefully not when I go back so I can have it again). You won't be disappointed. Maybe next time I will even learn how to take advantage of all the streaming services on the TVs in the suite. This time, it was all about the view.|Since there are no vending machines in the building, be sure to pick up some waters or refreshments before heading in. There's a great deli just down the street that can help with that.|Take the elevator and you won't need to enter your code 3 times (once for outside door when the dental office is closed, once at the door to the stairwell that needs swept, and lastly when you get to your door). Oh, and press on the right side of the panel at the room to display the numbers. |There's even a common room with a fireplace if you are traveling with a group. It has a large fridge in there too and a great place to just hang out together.|I would absolutely stay here again!

I loved my Experience staying at the Intrepid. If I need anything the online costumer service was very helpful and received calls right away. The suite I had was very nice for me and my fellow guests to stay and very convenient.

The place was very nice and clean. They provided good instructions on how to use the door codes. The place feels very secure. It's in a good location to walk to several restaurants and even to the lighthouses. I did have a little confusion with the parking charge and how that was shown on the invoice. I tried emailing the provided email with no response, but called the number and the lady on the line was very helpful. Would definitely stay here again!

Our stay was wonderful! Property is beautiful and very comfortable! Close to a lot of different things, restaurants, bars, theaters and stores. We will definitely be staying there again!

We had a terrible experience. Booked & paid for a suite during a snowstorm. No one was at the location. We couldn't get into the building, much less a room. We couldn't get a hold of a live person, and when we finally did... they were very un-knowledgeable. We can't comment on the room since we couldn't get in. And they said we couldn't cancel.... awful experience.

Our room was clean and comfortable. Easy check in and great downtown location. Communication was good both via text and phone. We had a Great Lake view. I would recommend getting the parking pass. Parking area and building was secure. Elevator was small but worked well for bringing up luggage. We will definitely stay here again.

The good…location minutes away from lake walk and big suite. The bad…the bathroom was not fully clean. The sink had a finger nail clipping on it and the rim of the toilet was obviously not clean. We moved the table to be more under the overhead light and the corner behind the table had not been cleaned. The stairwell had food crumbs that you had to step around. I tried to contact to have housekeeping come but received no response. I would expect better from a Days Inn and much more so based on the price we paid. NOT recommended!

Yelp
Loved our stay here!! Very easy to check in with self entry, perfect Air B-N-B style rooms. Everything was very clean and quiet. Very close to many restaurants and Canal Parkway, within walking distance. I would suggest parking at the hospital ramp, this is going to be a little cheaper and more secure than the back lot offered, $12 verses $25 for 24 hour parking. I do look forward to future trips staying at the Intrepid, seemed to be less expensive than the hotels in the area.

Yelp
Really easy check in. It's set up like an air bnb where you get a code to get in the building and your suite. There is no front desk or room service or gym or pool but when we travel we are there to be in the area not hang out at the hotel so it's a perfect set up for us. We were in one of the "smaller" rooms. It was the perfect size for the two of us. It's has similar amenities in the room like a hotel (mini fridge, microwave, coffee pot, hair dryer) but the layout is much better, with a sitting room area that feels like a mini living room where you can relax and watch the giant tv. It was very clean and well kept. Had plenty of outlets all over the room, including on each side of the bed. The neighborhood is super walkable, even in the dead of winter. There are restaurants, bars and coffee shops all within a five minute walk. In the summer it's just a few minute walk to the lake. We will definitely be staying here again!
