The Iron Duke on Wellington

We found this place online as we were staying at a motel a few blocks away and popped in for lunch. Glad we did. Great vibe inside with lots of locals having a good time and the servers were sweet and very efficient. Lots of local beers on tap and the food was good as well. We had somewhere to be the rest of the afternoon, but we made reservations to come back for dinner and they saved the little "snug" area for us. Much appreciated. We definitely recommend going, but maybe make a reservation if you can as it was pretty busy there for both of our visits. There is a paid parking lot directly across the street. Just use it. It's a few bucks for the peace of mind and you won't waste any time looking around the streets for open spots.

Was in Kingston just one night recently and needed to find a place to watch the Blue Jays playoff game. The Iron Duke doesn't have a huge screen, but rather has many TV's scattered throughout. I could easily see 3 different TVs at various angles from where I was sitting. And I don't know if they do this for all games, but for that playoff game they had the game sound playing which made for a great game atmosphere. A colleague told me the wings are very good, and he was right. The wings were great.

Just a totally amazing old pub experience with a fun atmosphere. The pub is operated by some really outstanding people. Totally 5 Star. The only down side for us is that the Iron Duke is pretty close to a two hour drive from where we live. That does not stop us from making the journey to dine there at least once a month. The liver and onions is the best we have ever had anywhere. Salads are also top notch. All the food is great. We have never been disappointed. Whoever is in the kitchen always does an outstanding job. My best advice is to give it a try. There is lots of parking on the street or in a large municipal lot directly across the street from the pub.

First time at this pub tonight. I have to say our server Tori was absolutely AWESOME!!!! I really have no idea how she remembered all of our drinks that were all different and there was 7 of us. Tori was very professional, friendly and just a true joy. Will definitely return and highly recommended this pub!!! Thanks again for making our night a great one Tori!!! CHEERS!!!

Our favourite place to eat in Kingston! The service is consistently excellent, even when the place is packed. Their menu changes a bit seasonally (the chicken fettucine alfredo is my current favourite), but the old faithfuls always stay on.

Overall a good pub experience. Nice seating and good service. I got the chicken sandwich with a caesar side salad The sandwich was good, the caesar salad could’ve used more dressing. Also got the nachos, they were okay however didn’t appreciate the the paper lining because it made it hard to take off the crispy cheese, and the portion of salsa given also could’ve been bigger. We also got the chicken finger which were good. This is a good place to go, seems popular, but isn’t anything exceptional but I would still go again

Not at all a good experience. No one to greet you, should have just left. Go somewhere else. Fries tastes like mold. First time I had to spit food back on to my plate at a food establishment. Nothing was offered, in fact asked if we wanted to order desert. For real the meal was terrible. Sorry doesn’t cut it when you feed people mold infused French fries. 🤣🤣
