Absolutely beautiful Christmas lights. The fountain pond with Christmas music was amazing. Lots is seating around it. Lots of food options and shops. Has children’s rides. Many drink options. The walk around it is flat and easy. Beautiful Christmas decorations all throughout it. Children will love and enjoy it. Highly recommend visiting. Parking is a little hectic because it’s so crowded. But it has plenty parking and it’s free. Admission is free. Wheelchair and stroller friendly. We will definitely visit again. We thoroughly enjoyed it.

The Island in Pigeon Forge is a fun, lively destination with something for everyone. The atmosphere is upbeat and family-friendly, with great shopping, restaurants, and entertainment all in one place. The fountain show is a highlight, especially in the evening, and the giant Ferris wheel offers beautiful views of the area. It’s clean, well organized, and easy to walk around. Whether you’re with kids, friends, or just enjoying a casual night out, this spot is always a good time.

We visited this place for our Christmas vacation ☃️ Lots to do for all ages! Be prepared to do some walking so wear comfortable shoes. The stores here are very expensive but it's nice to look around and do some window shopping. Even though it was Christmas time when we went it wasn't super crowded. We loved the walk through lights that was something free to do. And the fountain light show was also free and my kids really enjoyed it. I should of brought my own little chair to sit and watch though because there was not enough seats. The trolley is also free to ride as you please to and from 👍🏼 As long as you keep your wife out of all the shops it should be an enjoyable experience lol Go when it's nice weather out because it is all outdoors....like a outdoor mall. Great place to visit, I do recommend ✅

Google
The Island at Pigeon Forge is a great place to spend a few hours with family. There’s a lot to see and do — shops, restaurants, attractions, and live entertainment all in one place. The Great Smoky Mountain Wheel is a must-do and offers fantastic views, especially in the evening. Kids will love the fountains and open space, and adults can enjoy the variety of dining options and relaxed atmosphere. Everything is clean, well organized, and easy to walk around. The night-time lighting and music fountain show add a nice touch. Parking is convenient, and it’s a fun spot to visit both during the day and at night. Definitely worth a stop if you’re in Pigeon Forge.

Our family visit the island during the holiday season almost every year. It is an awesome place to stroll around. Fountain music show and the lights show along the river are the best. Free parking. Kids love trolly ride.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Five-Star Review: The Island in Pigeon Forge The Island in Pigeon Forge is hands-down one of the most fun, vibrant, and family-friendly spots in all of Tennessee! Whether you’re visiting for a day or stopping by every night of your trip, this place has something for everyone. From the moment you walk in, the atmosphere feels lively and welcoming. The shops are amazing—boutiques, specialty stores, treat shops, toy stores, sweet shops, and unique little spots you won’t find anywhere else. You can stroll for hours and still discover something new each time. Whether you’re hunting for souvenirs, snacks, clothing, or handmade goodies, The Island truly delivers. And the fun things to do are endless! The Great Smoky Mountain Wheel gives you stunning views, the fountains are mesmerizing (especially at night), and the rides and attractions keep both kids and adults entertained. There’s also delicious dining everywhere you turn, from quick bites to full meals, and you can relax in the rocking chairs around the fountain between adventures. If you’re looking for a place that’s clean, entertaining, and full of energy, The Island in Pigeon Forge is a must-visit. I’d give it more than five stars if I could!

Google
Nice place with lots to do. There are shops, restaurants and activities here. It's over priced, but that's to be expected with a tourist attraction. We had fun at the mirror maze place there's bumper cars and laser room where you have to move through the lasers you have to get through in the movies at a robbery or something. It was pretty cool. They have dicks last resort restaurant, paula deene restaurant, shops, candy store, etc. You can either walk from the parking, which is not a long walk or you can take the shuttle from the parking lot.

Seanna B.

Google
Tons to do and plenty to see. Lots of shops and entertainment. We did the escape room and enjoyed some shopping. The escape room is shared with another group though so that was a bummer. Overall GREAT place to go with a family. We also did the jungle gym area and made the jump off of the platform. Super fun

Yelp
The Island is the best place to shop, eat, drink and have fun all in one place! Easy parking lot with shuttle buses or a short walk from the first parking areas! The Sky Wheel and Sky Fly are my favorite rides! The Margaritaville Island Hotel is my absolute favorite hotel to stay in! We also love the Timberwood Grill! I could sit and watch the fountain literally all day long!

Yelp
The Island in Pigeon Forge is 100% a tourist destination but being that they have Ole Smokey Distillery, Lazy One, and Pepper Palace, we had to visit. The parking lot is HUGE and thank goodness they have a complimentary tram that goes around and makes stops. We visited on a Thursday and Saturday and there's a huge difference between visiting during certain days of the week. If visiting on weekends, know that the tram may not be able to pick you up due to overcrowding. There was only one tram running both days we visited. However, you are able to walk to The Island if you can/want to. The Island is nice and clean. There are lots of shops and if you care to eat there, plenty of restaurants. When we visited, there were dinosaur installments around the area which was fun. The biggest mistake we made was going to the information booth to ask how much the ferris wheel was. Instead of a quick answer, they were trying to upsell us on a package "deal." It was difficult getting one answer from them. Because of this, we decided to opt out of the Ferris wheel. The second time, we sat on a bench next to another information booth where they were trying to sell a lady on free drinks at Margaritaville. After they were done, they saw us and also tried selling us this "deal" and proceeded with vacation bundles, it was very difficult for them to understand the words, "no thank you." Pro tip: the information booths are solely to sell you on stuff...they're not actually helpful. If it weren't for these slimy tactics preying on tourists, I would have given The Island 5 stars.

Yelp
This place is great fun, we rode the Ferris wheel too. Don't expect to go here without spending a few $$
google avatar

Yelp
The hidden gem of Pigeon Forge, Tennessee! This is such a family friendly outdoor attraction. I love that it is free to enter and free to park. There are three restaurants to eat at here. The park also has a jurassic theme with animated dinosaurs throughout. Great place to bring if you have kids, or if you're on a date.
google avatar

William H.

Yelp
Such a great time here! We stayed at Margaritaville Island Resort since we knew most of our time would be spent at The Island--and it did not disappoint. It's not only great for kids but just as fun for adults, with plenty of food options, attractions, and unique tastings at Ole Smoky and the Cidery. The music playing throughout the island sets the perfect vibe, and the live birds are such a fun and unexpected touch. Overall, a fantastic experience!
google avatar

Kris S.

Yelp
If you like excitement, food and shopping with a twist, this is the place to go! There is so much to see and do. There are amusement rides, and a beautiful fountain at center court. A great place to spend some time looking for unique purchases or just relaxing on a rocking chair by the fountains.
google avatar

Monique M.

Yelp
Amazing experience! The kids really liked all of the rides and the adults enjoyed the shopping! I'd definitely return and recommend.
google avatar

Patriot P.

Yelp
Great Place to take your family to walk. Take a ride on Amusement Park rides. Eat. See water shows and Shop!

D.j. W.

Yelp
Trevor at the merry go round made our night! He was so polite and made our kids time extra special
google avatar

Dave T.

Yelp
The island has a ton of shopping and games and rides, but do realize that this is a tourist trap. Some store, Ole smokey store, beef jerky, Kermit key lime pies, etc. We wanted to ride the ferris wheel but we waited till dark, and it was worth it. An adult ticket on the ferrus wheel is $16 per adult. Great place for the kiddies. Clean around the inside of the park but it was a mess in the parking lot. Tons of garbage when we arrived in the parking lot. Full bag of Popeyes chicken when I got out of my truck and there was more. Worth a visit but watching for the garbage where you park.
google avatar

Anita G.

Yelp
A very busy area with lots to do and places to eat and shop! Very pretty at dark with lots of lights! Plus a huge parking lot thats free to park. we visited the first week of June 2024
google avatar

Carrie J.

Yelp
At the chill bar in hotel Margaritaville by the rooftop pool . Margaritas are excellent. Bartender is amazing . The view is awesome. Love the dancing waters .
google avatar

Marie O.

Yelp
Parking and shopping is free, you just have to pay separately for some of their rides. It was ok. Very touresty with the usual hot sauce store, souvenir shop and moonshine tasting room. The taste were $10 for 5 or six tastings but two free ones if you didn't want to get too many. Not a necessary stop for sure. The old mill shopping area is better in my opinion.
google avatar

Allyson M.

Yelp
This was an absolutely awesome time!! Fun for all ages, and something for all everyone. There's free parking and a Tram to transport you to the area if you do not want to walk. There are rides, a Ferris wheel, virtual ride, restaurants, moonshine tasting , arcade, fun places for kids and loads of shops. There's a water fountain show every 1/2 hour to an hour where you can sit back in rocking chair and relax. It's a wonder time for and can surely fill your day. Definitely a must see if in the area.

Yelp
If you're visiting Pigeon Forge and don't swing by The Island... did you even really go? This place is like a mini theme park meets shopping village with a dash of laid-back Southern charm. It's super walkable, lively, and packed with things to do for ALL ages. We came as a couple but saw tons of families and even solo travelers just soaking in the vibe. Let's start with The Great Smoky Mountain Wheel -- YES, it's worth it! Even for someone afraid of heights (‍), the enclosed gondolas felt super secure and the ride is smooth and scenic. Great photo ops from the top! Then there's the Island Show Fountain -- honestly mesmerizing. The water dances to music, and it's totally free to enjoy. We grabbed ice cream and watched the show from one of the rocking chairs around the fountain. Major vacation mode vibes. We also did SkyFly: Soar America and WOW -- what an experience! Think Soarin' at Disney, but with a Smoky Mountain twist. It was exhilarating and beautifully done. Dining? You're covered. We had dinner at Timberwood Grill and couldn't stop raving about the mountain nachos and burgers. The service was fast, friendly, and genuinely warm. Pro tip: if you're eyeing Paula Deen's Family Kitchen, go early or prepare to wait--it's crazy popular. Shopping was such a fun surprise. Whether it's homemade fudge, quirky gifts, moonshine tastings at Ole Smoky, or honey from Savannah Bee Company, it's not your run-of-the-mill tourist junk. Quality stuff here! Also... FREE PARKING and a convenient tram that takes you straight to the main area. It's little things like this that make the visit feel easy and welcoming. TL;DR: The Island is 100% worth carving out several hours of your trip. Come hungry, bring your camera, and be ready to smile a lot. This place is an absolute Pigeon Forge highlight.

Yelp
We had such a blast! The Lady at the ticket counter was such a Sweetie! She gave us a Local Discount after seeing my License and Was a Great Conversation! We had made such great memories on the Ferris wheel with our little Guy!! (A wait time of under 10 minutes.) A ride of an about 20 with Gorgeous views of Pigeon Forge at 200 Feet! There's no Height or Weight requirement, BTW. Thanks for the Memories! Lots of Food and Shops too! Of course, we will be Back! -The Kanevski's My Recommendations: -The Ferris Wheel -Mellow Mushroom -Cool Little Exhibits throughout the Island -Support Local Small Businesses!! -Of you're a Local... TELL THEM! -Arcade is A Blast!! - Catch the light and Water show, if you Can! Pros: -So many food Joints -A lot of shops for souvenirs -Lots of parking with a Trolly Available for Transport - Discount Prices for Locals!! Cons: -A LOT of People!! The island is the place to go!! Can be congested.

Yelp
It was okay, it had some stores we went in and a moonshine place, but overall it is like many places in this area and touristy.
google avatar

Nicole H.

Yelp
No matter what you're looking for- food, clothes, people watching, souvenirs, treats, rides or even booze it's all here. Parking can be a bit crazy but if you're willing to deal with the crowds you can surely have a good time here for many hours.
google avatar

Sarah P.

Yelp
They have something here for everyone. There are chairs for the elderly or maybe a little less mobile to sit around the fountain and watch the light shows. There are plenty of shops, rides for kids, smaller amusements, restaurants, and just things to see. I will always enjoy the Island!
google avatar

Jessica C.

Yelp
Feels like a board walk, great for kids and adults. We visited Timberwoood grill, Dude's Daiquiris, Mellow Mushroom, Ole Moonshine, and City Arcade. We loved the holiday decorations, and music. The water/light show with music. The beautiful Christmas tree. The trolley is great to get everyone from the parking lots.
google avatar

Yelp
WE LOVE THE ISLAND!!! We visit 4 to 5 times a year and have never had a bad time there. It's AMAZING!!!! There's so much to do, that you don't have to leave the island. IT'S GREAT!!!
google avatar

Alice M.

Yelp
My family and spent a beautiful day at the Island while vacationing in Gatlinburg,TN. We toured the park and visited every store. It was lots of exciting ventures and so much to see and do. We love the food, scenery, and entertainment ride.
google avatar

Jonathan H.

Yelp
Fun for kids about 8 and up. Some fun shops for the grandfolk. Nice and clean. Good eats at the Mellow Mushroom.
google avatar

Nicole S.

Yelp
If you're visiting The Island and you have kids with you, get the unlimited rides wristband! Your kids are going to ask to ride every ride they see, and if you have a wristband, then they will be able to ride as many rides as they want. The wristband allows you 48-hour access to unlimited rides on the carousel, Happy Swing, Thunderdome, the giant ferris wheel that they call the Great Smoky Mountain Wheel, and a dozen other rides and attractions. For $10 more, you can add the ropes course, too. My children really liked the ropes course! It's challenging for older kids, but it also has a lower-to-the-ground area for younger kids. The piece de resistance of the ropes course is the free fall area, where you jump from a high point all the way to the ground. The ropes course doesn't have a time limit, so you can explore as long as you want. My kids spent about 20-30 minutes here. We also really liked the big ferris wheel: the Great Smoky Mountain Wheel. This ferris wheel is huge, and when you're at the top, it seems like you can see all of Pigeon Forge. The Island is like a big outdoor mall, with lots of shops and restaurants, but it's also like a mini amusement park because of all the rides. You could spend a good chunk of the day here, just riding rides and walking around. There is a lot to see and experience at The Island.

Yelp
This is tourist spot for night activities. The entire place light up with colorful light. The center piece of the island is a musical fountain with rocking chairs surrounding the fountain. The show time is every 30 minutes. The island is man made better the river. In the island have hotel, shop, restaurant, amusement park, moonshine tasting, and more. The visit take 2.5 hours to complete the visit. There are several photo opportunities spot. The island has a separate remote parking with shuttle service. You also can walk to the island. The island is great for young and old activities.
google avatar

Diane H.

Yelp
Lots of fun things to do here with the family. We rode the Ferris Wheel and bought moonshine. There are a few restaurant choices and I suggest avoiding Paula Dean unless you are 100 pounds overweight and want to stay that way. Lots of shopping to do here.
google avatar

Jeanita O.

Yelp
I had a blast on several rides, but I feel like the ride time is too short. Each ride is $6 without an unlimited pass. The view is great, and the thrill is refreshing. Check it out! I will return again.
google avatar

Madison T.

Yelp
We had a blast walking around people watching, stopping in the stores, and enjoying the rocking chairs near the water. Plenty of eateries to choose from and lots of parking. Great spots for gifts and lots for kiddos to do too!
google avatar

Jennifer K.

Yelp
This was a great place to just enjoy a lot of things without having to bounce around to many different places!

Michael T.

Yelp
Beware of the scams and dishonesty of the Information Desk. They will ask for your drivers license and take your information then tell you that you have to come back the next day for a Margaritaville sales pitch before you can get the discounted tickets that they said they would sell you. I asked multiple times if there was a catch because the tickets seemed too good to be true. Turns out it was too good. Beware.
google avatar

Fredrick V.

Yelp
This place is awesome. I've gone here many times and is never disappointed. The mix of shops and rides is a great touch that you don't see in many places. I definitely recommend this place. IF you have kids, this is kind of a must. There are restaurants, ice cream joints, and Smoky Mountain Moonshine. A lot of nice stuff.

Shannon T.

Yelp
This is a very touristy place. It was nice to walk around at night. It is filled with stores for shopping and places for dining. They do a cute dancing water show in the center. They do have a bunch of rides, a Ferris wheel, and ropes for attractions. It wasn't something I'd raved about. Parking is free though.
google avatar

Marie S.

Yelp
A good place to kill some time. We enjoyed walking around, sampling a few cookies and moonshine, looking at the parrots and the Halloween/Christmas decorations, and watching the fountain shows every half hour. There's a trolley that takes you from the parking lot and drops you off at front. Most of the activities and rides come with a cost, though I wish we would've gotten to ride the ferris wheel 2023 #73
google avatar

Crystal P.

Yelp
Some awesome stores, delicious lemonade, and our son loves a ferris wheel so we had to ride it. It was the perfect day when we came here, sunny, warm. Loved sitting watching the water fountain show thing. We just strolled around.
google avatar

Mark O.

Yelp
Fun was had by all! Great for shopping, rides food. Especially at night when the lights are on.

Ddnike4 A.

Yelp
First off you are going to spend money. It's a tourist attraction in pigeon forge. We really enjoyed the dinosaur hunt. The atmosphere is great. Relax by the fountain and listen to music. Ride some carnival rides or play a few carnival games. Enjoy food from the many restaurant choices. You could spend a whole day here and not see all the stores. Free parking free trolley ride. Enjoyed our day.
google avatar

Kaylee D.

Yelp
A lot of shops! Great staff and nice things to look at. The only downfall is that the parking is a decent way off from the island.
google avatar

Hayli Z.

Yelp
Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg are about 15 minutes away from each other and they're both touristy, but The Island at Pigeon Forge is a lot more user friendly than downtown Gatlinburg. You have free parking, some of the same wine and moonshine tastings as downtown Gatlinburg, some shops and restaurants. Downtown Gatlinburg has more, but if you want less crowds and free parking, this is the better option.
google avatar

Kelley S.

Yelp
Fun for all ages! Rides, shops and restaurants! This is something fun to do with family and friends. This can take up the whole day if you want it to! Love the trolley that helps with the long walks from the parking lot. Our favorite is sitting in the rocking chairs watching the water show that coordinates to the music. My 10 year old daughter even loves it! We come every time we visit this area!

Diane D.

Yelp
Super fun way to spend the day. Great for adults and kids-something for everyone. Highly recommend the SkyFall experience!
google avatar

Ron H.

Yelp
We remember Pigeon Forge and area prior to the Island.... My wife and I tend to visit in the afternoon; lots of families and children prefer the evening. Lots of nearby parking. For some, The Island is a destination visit. Not so much fo
google avatar

Chris G.

Yelp
This place was actually very nice and appealing, especially with the festive atmosphere for Christmas. The shops here were neat and the vibe was great! Lots of cool small attractions and the restaurants smell awesome. Definitely recommend stopping by here to check it out!
google avatar

Christine B.

Yelp
If you like to shop till you drop, or have kiddos this is the place to go. They have rides and attractions for the littles, and shopping for all ages. They have a mini lake/pond area with dancing water jets and great music playing where there are anarandak chairs to sit and listen. Free parking but crowded
google avatar

S L.

Yelp
Not handicap friendly! Minimal handicapped parking. No spots available so we had to park two lots away. Waited 35 minutes for a tram that wouldn't ask people to stand to allow a wheelchair on. So we had to walk 20+ minutes. Shame on this place!!!!
google avatar

Kirsten J.

Yelp
It's very touristy but lots of fun. There is something to do for the whole family at the Island. Taste moonshine for $5.00 at Ole Smokey or listen to a live bluegrass band right in front of the shop. The island has also lots of stores (mainly tourist stuff) and a small "amusement park" area that is perfect for families with kids. There is also a huge cool looking Ferris wheel but I wouldn't dare going on it - I have a fear of heights - sigh... We hang out at the pretty pond in the middle, sitting down on one of the many rocking chairs that are placed around it, relaxing, and enjoying the water show. Paula Deen's restaurant is also right there. Try it out - it's really good . Tip: Do yourself a favor and do not try to find parking street side on or close to the island. It's almost impossible.. Once you drive onto the island cross the bridge and park on the parking lot right behind it. It's free - and you will guaranteed find a spot.
google avatar

Grace H.

Yelp
What a fun compound in Pigeon Forge! Once the car was parked, entered the area, everything was within walking distance. There are hotel, shops, rides, musical water fountain show, restaurants, Moonshine testing. Whole bunch of fun stuff to do for all ages. The whole area looked new, modern, beautifully decorated and clean. Compared to the hectic traffic on Pigeon Forge main street, this is a much funner, relaxing place to spend the valuable vacation time. We came during the day and the night. The scenery is different, -both beautiful. I loved this island. I can't believe it has been established since 2013 and we just visited it for the first time in Pigeon Forge.
google avatar

Nameeta M.

Yelp
We definitely weren't expecting this park to be as big as it was, and we had a great time here! There's plenty of free parking, and it's a fairly quick walk to the actual park but they also have trolleys to get you there. There are a wide array of restaurants and shops as well as a winery and moonshine place too. They don't charge any entrance fees which is nice and convenient as you can just walk in. They have an arcade and several rides like a large Ferris wheel and bungee jumping, and they also have a flight simulation and ropes course as well which looked fun. They have a $35 unlimited ride pass that would include some of the rides and it's actually valid for 2 days as well which is a great deal. If we had more time, we'd definitely spend it here!
google avatar

Cliff F.

Yelp
Fun place to hang out and ride the wheel and do some tastings! Make sure to watch the water show.
google avatar

Ashleigh F.

Yelp
The island at pigeon forge is so fun! They have something for everyone! Ol smoky moonshine normally have some kind of music going on and also you can sample 9 moonshines for $5 and get a $5 coupon back at the end to go towards any purchase you may make. And while we are being alcoholics you can drop in to yee haw brewery next door grab a cold one and sit out and listen to some music at ol' smoky. I personally had to go grab a deluxe apple from the fudgery while I was there. You should too! Don't forget to take a trip on the the Ferris wheel while you're there! You will see everything imaginable!
