After years of hearing about this place I have finally made it out to try it! To be honest I think I was expecting more. We ordered half cheese half pepperoni pizza 🍕 Caesar salad with anchovies and their wings. Pizza was nothing to rave about - I personally liked the pepperoni over cheese. I know we ordered the most boring plain options and I see that they had more gourmet pizzas . I will have to come back to give those a try. Caesar salad was great and very huge- we barely finished it. I love anchovies on my salad but it threw me off that the plate that they came on was warm and the anchovies themselves were warm as well.. Wings were good flavor but maybe would have been better if the skin was more crispy it was soft and little soggy. Overall I am not very very impressed with this restaurant but I am willing to try it again for something different :) Service was prompt and friendly.

Was looking for a good pizza place while staying in Juneau and this place did not disappoint! This was top tier pizza and especially good if you like thin crust pizza. I highly recommended making this a stop for dinner if you are visiting/live nearby!

This was my families 50th state we’ve visited together. I would have never guessed that my state with my most favorite food was on our ALASKA trip. The Island Pub was just the start of a foodie-lovers trip. We walked away from this place contemplating if we’ve had better pizza…ever?! Now this was in July so I forgot what we got but see the video, all were amazing but that green one front and center was especially off the walls. Do not pass this place up if staying in Juneau-Douglas or surrounding areas. Thank you!

Update Oct '24 Order the "Smokin Hot Funghi Pizza" with no garlic. It's way better and a really nice combination of flavors. Also, their stout on tap was just about perfect. Great service. Jason gave great service. Oct '23: The "Smokin' hot funghi pizza" is still a winner, with mushroom, garlic, sausage, arugula, and that subtle crowning touch of honey. The caprese salad was fresh and delicious with a nice balsamic dressing. The venue still has its charm, with warm colors and hard-working staff and a full happy crowd on a weeknight. From Oct '22 Have the chowder! Incredibly flavorful salmon, stock full of vegetables, not overwhelmed by cream, very satisfying. Incredible colorful mountain views. The "hot fungi" pizza was a-a-a-mazing! Mushroom, roasted garlic, arugula and honey - the flavors work so well together. The place was busy, noisy, and had a fun atmosphere. Staff were hard-working and polite. Everything was great about this place.

Google
We visited The Island Pub on our own cruise ship excursion in Juneau. The food was tasty and plentiful. The tomato 🍅 soup 🍲 was fantastic. Service was friendly and efficient. I highly recommend The Island Pub!

Google
Legitimately bomb pizza. We had a pizza with roasted garlic, mushrooms, arugula, some nice white cheeses (maybe including gouda?), and a honey drizzle. The crust was thin and crispy. Super surprised to find this in Juneau.

Google
Amazing hospitality and the food is fantastic! Some awesome and unique pizza options plus a robust menu. Very nice and well kept establishment.

Google
It's awesome for lunch! I had a rare steak wrap and the salmon spread. Being a local, I usually avoid crab dip, but this one was amazing. Seriously, I'm ordering it again.

Yelp
The Island Pub is an airy taproom with large picture windows overlooking the water, offering gourmet brick-oven pizzas, fresh salads, appetizers, and wraps, all made with high-quality ingredients prepared daily. As the only dining option on Douglas Island, it's well worth a visit. We stopped in for a pizza on a rainy Saturday night and were impressed by the friendly service and delicious pizza. The thin crust was perfect, not too doughy, and the flavors and sauce were spot on. We'd definitely return and recommend it to anyone visiting the area. With a fantastic selection of pizzas, a welcoming atmosphere, and outstanding staff, this place truly stands out. The restaurant is clean and well-maintained, with plenty of parking available. The experience was so good that we came back for more! The pizza was exceptional, thin, crisp crust with fresh toppings that blended beautifully. It's not overrun with tourists, making it a great local gem. Our group tried several different pizzas, and every single one was amazing. Excellent value, fantastic atmosphere, and some of the best pizza we've ever had!

Yelp
Cozy with nice ambience. Good efficient staff. Great pizza with many delicious options.

Tony V.

Yelp
Atmosphere was great, Jesse (not sure if that is how you spell his name) was extremely accommodating, and the food was top notch. I don't live in Juneau but anytime I pass by this will be a "must stop" for me!

Josh S.

Yelp
Is this a place that really needs more words said other than, Wow! Holy crap this place takes the cake for Juneau when it comes to pizza. The Three Little Pigs is over the top delicious. Also, I gotta say the cauliflower crust is something that completely changed my perspective and makes me want to try it somewhere else just to make sure it's not a fluke. Give this place your money!! I want it to thrive so when I come back, it's still around.

Yelp
Specialty pizzas ,local beers on tap! Great vibes The Island pub is a best kept secret for the little island. Towards the end of the island, the restaurant sits a block off of the main drag. It's a must stop if you're going to Juneau and you want great food. I was able to have their steak sandwich and one of the specialty pizzas that was submitted and add one to stay on the menu for the year. The pizza is made from a real hand built pizza oven that could been seen anywhere in Italy. My pizza had pepperoni, spinach, garlic cloves, bacon, jalapeños, and banana peppers with Alfredo as the sauce and mozzarella as the cheese. It's was amazing, very unique and looked over powering, but was very balanced. I got to try all of local beer is there from Juneau and other neighboring towns. The beers were great, and the service was awesome. Overall, it's the best kept secret and you should try to get there before rush-hour because it's always packed!!

Andrew T.

Yelp
Probably the best pizza place in the greater Juneau area. I don't even remember what pizza I had but I know it was awesome and everyone else with me agreed with all their different pizzas. Service was good and there's a great view of the mountains from there. Can't recommend enough if you have time and a vehicle.

Aurelie A.

Yelp
Island pub is one of the best pizza places in town, hands-down! I love the pizza, skin appetizers with the side of Alfredo sauce, and the orzo salad is an absolutely delicious side paired with one of their steak sandwiches absolutely chefs kiss.

Emily K.

Yelp
Classic cozy bar with a great view. Big bar area with lots of seating and some hightops surrounded by a smaller dining area. Solid pizzas with creative toppings and chewy not too thick crust. A couple food items like the chowder were a little light on the seasoning. Great drink prices and delightful refreshing mojito.

Karl A.

Yelp
This was a great dining experience. The service was a little odd, but the food made up for it. We got seated instantly, the bartender took one persons order and then walked away. We had to wave him back over to get the other person in our party's order. I ordered the Smokin Hot Fungi, but I ended up getting a Bee's Knees. It was good, but I didn't notice I had the wrong pizza until I had eaten half of it. I think I'll get the cauliflower pizza crust next time, we tried the crust sticks and they were incredible! Great food, odd service... I'll still be back!!!

KimBee A.

Yelp
The Pub is one of my favorite places to eat in Juneau. A great selection of rotating taps, original pizzas and the salmon dip is amazing

BL T.

Yelp
Great atmosphere, service and food- the salad was amazing, pizza melt in your mouth and view out of this world! Highly recommend.

John S.

Yelp
Amazing view of the bay with great beer selections and good food. Plenty of room to sit inside or outside and service was great

Mackenzie B.

Yelp
Awesome location with beautiful views! Friendly and fun staff! And the food? Well I haven't tried EVERYTHING, but I think they served me the best "Margherita" pizza I've ever had. It was actually called the "Tuscany". I look forward to going back to Douglas for a visit.

VonD I.

Yelp
View amazing. The pizza was great. I chose one their 2023 top voted for pizza - The Cirque Terre. I got it without artichokes and without the sundried tomatoes and it was perfect for me! The Caesar salad was perfect with the right about of croutons and dressing. Great selection of tea. Do not forget the salmon spread.. I almost forgot to write about it because we devoured it so quickly - needless to say it was the table of 4 favorite!

Alicia D.

Yelp
Oh my gosh, yum! My husband works in Juneau for the summer and I came up to visit him and he told me we had to get something from here. Because of the dreary and rainy day, we decided to stay in and order pizza for takeout from The Island Pub. It didn't take me long to select the Blue Boar and I was not disappointed! Besides being ready super fast, it was still so hot and fresh when my husband returned home minutes after heading to the restaurant. The combination of the toppings was absolutely perfect and the crust was cooked to perfection!

Tom E.

Yelp
The best chowder I've had in a while! Incredibly flavorful salmon, stock full of vegetables, not overwhelmed by cream, very satisfying. Incredible colorful mountain views. The "hot fungi" pizza was amazing! Mushroom, roasted garlic, arugula and warm honey - the flavors work surprisingly well together. The place was busy, noisy, and had a fun atmosphere. Yelp
Best pizza in Juneau. Love the Salmon spread, great pizza. Amazing views! Always good service.

Lane J.

Yelp
Great pizza! Best in town. Good view of the channel. Just wish there was one in the valley.

Andrea A.

Yelp
One of my favorite spots in town. Ambience manages to be romantic and lively all at the same time with great service. The smoked salmon is a must do! I also love trying out two different pizzas on one pie.

Ginette P.

Yelp
We stopped by one night for dinner, once seated we started with some Drinks we got Pitchers of Alaskan beer , this was perfect for our table, beer was good. Apps to start we tried the Garlic & Parmesan skins .. which was basically pizza bread had it w marinara sauce they were good, nice taste but we could have done w out it. I had the Pesto chicken sandwich on Focaccia bread... yumm this was delicious very good chicken & the focaccia was nice & soft soo good, they are baked in house which makes them even tastier comes w small Orso salad not bad. On the Pizza built your own , w some mozzarella, pesto, sausage very good love the thin & crispy crust. My Friend had the Steak sandwich which she said needed some flavor & the 4 little Piggies pizza which was good as well. Decent size location, service was good & so were the prices this was one of the better places we tried for food while visiting Juneau.

Yelp
We finally tried this place out after being in town for years. Love it! The steak sandwich was good, and the perinola pizza was amazing!

Edward B.

Yelp
If you want great pizza with a cool view of the Gastineau Channel, the Island Pub is the place to go. The wait staff is friendly and the food comes out hot. Well worth the trip to Douglas!

Elizabeth M.

Yelp
This place was recommended by several locals and it did not disappoint!! We got the pizza skins and Caesar salad, both were delicious...ordered Napolitano Alfredo and build your own with mushrooms pepperoni, mozzarella & pub marinara...both were delicious!!! Sorry no pictures...we had just came back from Halibut fishing and devoured everything!!! Highly recommended this place...you can not go wrong with anything you order...

King L.

Yelp
I've eaten here a few times. The pizza is fine. However I was disappointed with the bartender. I asked for a rock and rye and he didn't know how to make one. So I ordered a black russian. I got a white russian instead.

Anna S.

Yelp
This is a delicious local pizza pub, my local family enjoys coming here for a nice treat. We ordered Togo while visiting town and the Four Little Pigs and Tuscany pizzas were super delicious and I would recommend to anyone wanting to try something different.

Yelp
Out Lyft driver, Barbara, who also works at the Visitor's Bureau, recommended this place to try their salmon spread. We went at 11:30am when they open on Saturday and, yes, their salmon spread is so delicious, especially with that garlic focaccia bread they bring out to spread it on. Everyone was getting their pizza so we ordered pizza with the house cheese, marinara, fresh basil and pepperoni and we were so glad we did. It has a thin crust that wasn't greasy and it was a good size, about 8 slices. Service was great! What a fantastic recommendation!

Leo G.

Yelp
Overall a decent establishment. Although when parking, be aware of hungry homeless begging for food. Yeah I could of said NO, but im not that type of person. So on to our meal. All of our pizza and Salmon Spread was good but our chicken skewers were undercooked. When we brought it to the attention of one of the waitresses, they said they will tell our waitress. When we asked for the bill we had to mention it again. Her response said it wasn't undercooked and that it was part of the chicken. At that point, i lost my mind and told her we know its part of the chicken, but its undercooked. She did nothing nor get the manager for us. We left with no tip. Although i hear this is a good place to go, i do not believe i would return!

Tonya S.

Yelp
I finally made it to the Island Pub. I went with two of my fav locals kylen & Andrew. The Island Pub.is one of their fav spots. I love the eclectic feel and the pizzas were thin crust and delicious. You could taste all the ingredients. The Roaste Salmon dip is to die for. When in Juneau Alaska please stop into Island Pub. To my Yelpers lets continue to ear our way through the world.

Juan A.

Yelp
faaaaancy pizza, get two if you're hungry. also their salads are awesomely big. can be quite busy, helps to call ahead

Cheri Z.

Yelp
Always consistently great food! We love going there at least twice a month. Staff are always super friendly and efficient !

Amanda R.

Yelp
Coming from San Diego I got the turkey sandwich. Probably should've gotten the pizza but the sandwich was alright. Decent size for the price

Amber P.

Yelp
The pizza was excellent! Love that they use locals to send in recipe ideas and keep the best ones on their menu for the next year.

Andrew H.

Yelp
Best pizza in Juneau is not in Juneau! This is a great place for the mildly adventurous tourist to "get away from it all" and pretend they are a local. You'll feel like you live in the 'hood. Above average pizza and beer selection. Good service.

Sara F.

Yelp
The island pub is always delicious. They have the best gluten free pizza and the staff are always very friendly which I appreciate. It's beautiful on the inside with a really gorgeous view as well.

Erica B.

Yelp
The pizza was delicious! The bartender and the busboy were awesome. The waitress was rude and didn't check on us once. I only left a tip so the guys would get part of it. Someone should replace the waitress.

Marty W.

Yelp
Great pizza. Thin crust with the expected greatest hits (sausage,pepperoni..) but also unexpected combinations like honey and blue cheese. The Greek Salad was wonderful. Excellent atmosphere, pleasant efficient service. I'd like to especially remark on a server going a little extra. I called to see if we needed a reservation-6 adults, two children-and the young man said no, it wasn't busy. By the time we got there, that had changed but he had taken the initiative and had set us up at a nice table all ready to go for us. A note to the owner management-this kind of personalized service, this sort of little extra, is a huge plus- especially when you have children along. We don't live in Juneau but re there 3-4 times a year to see relatives and we always make it a practice to go to Island Pub. Thanks!

Megan S.

Yelp
Our service was quite slow, even though the pub was nearly empty. This wasn't a deal breaker, at least on that day as we had no where else to be and the food is very good, but it seems the Island Pub was definitely on "island" time. ;) Definitely get a pizza! I hear everything on the menu is well done, though I think the pizza is really where it's at. Island Pub's selection is more unique for topping combos than elsewhere. This may be in part due to the contest they run every year to with the local customers to create and vote on new pizzas for the menu! It was fun and difficult to decide what to go with, but my hubby and I shared: * Blue Boar pizza - Mmmmmm omg mmmmm! * Caesar salad - flavorful and delicate, not slopped on heavy Kraft-type dressing

Tracy H.

Yelp
Nice little place for some pizza a hike. Good beer. Nice view of the bay and watch the ships come in or leave

Boston G.

Yelp
I ordered pizzas for the family. My dad is vegetarian so I put in a "make your own" pizza and loaded up on the options. The pizzas are small and spendy ($30 ea) so we were expecting quality. Instead, we got a very sad looking pizza that was dry and bare. I would not buy pizza from here again!

Alex Z.

Yelp
We had dinner here on April 19, 2023. It is a great little place! The service was quick and friendly. The advice from our waitress was very helpful. It was a little busy at first but then we had a chance to move to a table by the window - you can see a very nice of view of the port across the water. The decor inside is modern and fun. We had salmon chowder, Greek salad, the Pork-a-Pine pizza, and Alaska White beer. Everything tasted great. Would definitely go back if happen to be in the area again.

Jonathan S.

Yelp
Love the food and it is a good atmosphere. The wraps are excellent, as are the pizzas (though the get fairly pricy with toppings). We are regulars because we love the food. The service is always slow and they don't seem to have enough servers. But, overall, I like it.

Denise R.

Yelp
I had high hopes for this visit but was disappointed. The pizza was thin and was like something I could make from a refrigerator tube of dough. The flavor was bland. We ordered 3 salads that were not good. The "new" Cobb salad was a portion of an iceberg lettuce wedge cut into 3 pieces with quartered cherry tomatoes, bacon bits, limp red peppers and a quartered boiled egg sprinkled around it. The steak salad was cold, cooked onions on top of dressed romaine with an overcooked steak to the side. The caesar salad was terribly fishy and the cup of tomato soup was as thick as marinara and served in a small ramekin. The service was crappy and we had to flag the server down for a glass of overpriced wine from a bottle that had clearly been open for a while. Also had to flag her down for more water. Very uncaring and inattentive. We will not be back.

John D.

Yelp
Pizza place that locals love. Mediocre. Their website advertises pizzas they haven't made for years. Prompt, expensive, small.

Eric C.

Yelp
We stopped in here for dinner after traveling from Las Vegas. The service was fantastic and it turned out our server was also from Vegas. Do yourself a favor and order the smoked salmon dip. My only suggestion would be to improve the selection of local breweries on draft.

George L.

Yelp
This is a great place for family, friends, or just a casual meeting. The food and service is good. The atmosphere is lite but balanced. If something is wrong with your order the staff has no problem fixing a mistake. It's not the best I've ever had but it is one of the best spots Juneau has to offer.

Mallorie O.

Yelp
The Island Pub has become one of our favorite restaurants over on Douglas Island (just across the bridge from downtown Juneau). It has a gorgeous view with big windows right on the ocean, which is one of my favorite parts and why we try to go in the off times so we get a good window seat. Of course, it wouldn't be a favorite if they didn't have delicious food. I've tried something new every time we go and love it all. Their pizza is great, and seems to be everyone's favorite. I love their wraps, too. We always get the salmon dip as an appetizer, it won't disappoint. I also love that they usually have some of the beer from Haines Brewing Company on tap.

Scyenna B.

Yelp
Ugh. I can't make it past that. I don't know what else to say. I sat at the bar since the place looked busy. My service was quick, someone made my drink and then someone else took my order, then the bartender got there and didn't even look my way. Went upon the recommendation of a friend who said the soup was great. In search of something warm and comforting, I ordered it and was greatly disappointed. It tasted like a bowl of marinara sauce, topped off with some tasty bread. I've since gone back and tried the salads, which for Alaska, was good and green and more than just iceberg lettuce that I was expecting. If you're looking for fancy pizza, this is also a good option, but eat it while it's hot, because even though I'm a sucker for cold pizza, this is not an option. Drinks are the only reason I would go back here.

M. A. J.

Yelp
This place has the best gluten free pizza I have ever had. Person I ate with who can have gluten said their glutenless pizza was the best of any kind of pizza they've ever had. Basically I'm trying to tell you that their pizzas are inspired.

Nicole N.

Yelp
Awesome place that we were told about by a local that we rented a vehicle from. Great vibe, views and pizza!
