The Islander Grill and Tiki Bar

We had an absolutely fantastic experience at The Islander Grill & Tiki Bar. From the moment we arrived, the setting felt like a perfect little escape—laid-back, tropical, and full of good energy. We sat outside near the tiki bar and resort pool, which added a relaxed and fun vibe to our mid-afternoon lunch. The cocktails were top-notch—refreshing, well-balanced, and expertly made. Highly recommend! We started with the Tuna Pozo appetizer, which was incredibly fresh and packed with flavor. For our main dishes, we ordered the blackened mahi tacos and the chicken Parmesan. Both were excellent—the tacos had great spice and texture, and the chicken parm was rich, crispy, and comforting in all the right ways. The service was friendly and attentive without being overbearing, and one of the biggest surprises of the day was the price. For two entrées, cocktails, and an appetizer, our total came in right around $100. In today’s world, that kind of value for food and drinks this good is hard to find. All in all, The Islander delivered a truly memorable dining experience—great food, great drinks, great service, and a great price. We’ll definitely be back!

Delicious spot for a poolside lunch and zero crowd on a Saturday afternoon, so easy to get in and out. We sat outside by the pool and our server was fabulous. She was incredibly friendly and seemed to genuinely enjoy her job. All of us loved our meals—fish & chips, sea bass and mahi. Their kids meals were super affordable. My only complaint is out of the whole restaurant they only had one booster seat (we needed two) which seemed odd. Easy parking, don’t have to be hotel guests to dine here. Great experience!

This is a spot on site where we are staying and it was great! We had table side live performance and room to dance if you desire. Food was yummy we did meat lovers pizza and chicken nachos and both were generous and perfect seasoned and cooked. Young lady Shadow gave nice service and offered to take our picture. We came back next night and got ribs and creme brûlée cheesecake yummy too!

The Islander Grill & Tiki Bar was amazing! Estelle, our server, was so attentive and friendly, making our experience unforgettable. The bread they bring before dinner was warm, fluffy, and absolutely delicious. I had the best filet mignon of my life—cooked perfectly and full of flavor. The sides were fresh and seasoned just right. The kids absolutely loved the pizza, devouring it in no time with smiles on their faces. The side of fries was a huge hit too, crispy and perfectly seasoned, disappearing in a flash! We stayed inside to enjoy live music by @Alana Joy, whose voice is incredible! The only negative was bartender Susan, who was rude and hostile attitude was completely unacceptable and unprofessional when I accidentally broke a glass. I cleaned it up myself and carried it to the bar, yet she treated me with pure disdain. Her behavior was unprofessional, unsafe, and absolutely reflects poorly on an otherwise great restaurant. Other than that, everything else was top notch. Highly recommend this restaurant for a fantastic meal, great atmosphere, and wonderful service!

I went here for dinner on a Saturday night. It was mildly busy, but the food took a very long time. The place is dated, especially for the price of the entrees. When you see the pictures in the menu, they were probably taken several years ago. I also went here because they have love music every evening. And that would be great if you like 1950s soul music. I will not be coming back.

Food was unexpectedly amazing. Gonna be honest—judging by looks alone, I had low expectations (it’s a beach bar…). But dang. Frozen margs were amazing, steak was seasoned perfectly IMO (prime rib and filet mignon), and dessert was absolutely phenomenal. Service was fantastic! Our waitress was so friendly, helpful, and quick. Would recommend!

Fun spot right on the beach. The food taste great. They also have live music every night. After the meal we had a walk on the beach very close from the restaurant. This going to be our new spot on the island for sure.

I know it says it's in a hotel and has a big menu... BUT the entire family ate here, and we were all happy and pleasantly surprised with what we each got, appetizers and drinks included. Coconut Crusted Grouper special was a stand out. The pizza dough rolls were a surprise, and we even grabbed a small pizza later in the week that also fared well.

The Best!!! From food entertainment atmosphere service and the Wonderful host Nikos. We had such a fabulous time celebrating my birthday. The food was exceptional! ... Gr8 place!!

The pizza is top notch. We got the cheese and pepperoni. I'm more of a pepperoni guy, but the cheese pizza is off the charts. Equally as good the next day too. When we walked in, there was a live band playing. The vibes were high.

Dined in on a Tuesday night. It was easy to locate once you know that it's inside the hotel. There is no self parking, valet only. This could've been a perfect score but our server, Susan was just way too sassy and dare I say rude. There was a gentlemen singing live, inside, which is where we sat. He sang great but it was way too loud, couldn't even hear our once another talk much less for Susan. We even asked if it was possible to turn him down a little and she immediately said no. Everyone enjoyed their food. I especially, I had the bronzed chicken pasta. The chicken was perfectly blackened with the right amount of pasta and sauce.

While deciding where to have dinner, we looked at several options nearby, since we were only in town for a few nights and wanted to try different places. The Islander was close, and the menu looked appealing, so we decided to give it a try. I hadn't realized the restaurant was inside a hotel -- I was expecting a stand-alone spot on the water. When we arrived, I was a bit confused to see it was part of a hotel property. As we pulled in, we saw signs indicating $5 valet parking (I believe it was $5), or an option to self-park. We chose to self-park and walked to the front entrance. At the door were two valet attendants. We asked if the restaurant was inside, and one of them confirmed it was. However, he then told us that if we weren't hotel guests, we had to use the valet service. That caught me off guard, as the signage suggested self-parking was an option. It felt misleading -- almost like we were being pushed into valet unnecessarily. The whole interaction felt more like a pressure tactic than hospitality, and it left a very bad first impression. We went elsewhere, they lost my business. Oh well. I have no way to rate the food....... Bad Business/policy practice and attitude. Service was not good as the bad first impression from the valet shakedown. No idea how nice the place is, because we actually didn't go inside the place

This restaurant is in the Palm Beach Shores Resort. It has an out door area with a few tables by the pool. Tonight they had live music which add to a fun night. There is also a bar area with a couple TVs. The food was good and service was great. Candice, our waitress, was polite, quick and constantly checked on our table. She was wonderful. I started with a Mojito. I was surprised it was a frozen type version but tasted great. We started with the Buffalo Chicken Wings with Blue Cheese. The wings were perfect, meaty with the perfect hint of Buffalo sauce. Then we shared the Swordfish with potatoes and asparagus. The fish was grilled and very good. It was a nice portion and enough to share. I really enjoyed the live music. Great place.

Love love love this spot from the sparkly tuxedo'd truly gifted Motown/disco musicians, to the yummy food, soothing wine spritzers and the icing on the cake - our beyond proficient kind lovely patient waitress Candice:) Thank you for this great spot - we dance the night away every week-end we come here:)

#1, they added a 18% tip. Which depending on service we normally tip 20 to 25. But I don't like the fact that they just went ahead and added it. Clearly our server had no motivation to provide good service, the table next to us straight up left ‍ #2 Sat outside but not at tiki bar, tables (salt, pepper, etc) was as expected for Pool side. Mixmatched items.... #3 added a weird sauce to the tuna The Caesar salad had fake parm cheese powder The filet was okay for the price point, but not great, I spit out the mashed potatoes, the veggies were not cooked well. Seafood platter was pretty good but asked for pasta on the side and it was mixed in. Just go somewhere else.....

We did not stay at this cute tiki bar because when we got there the wind was too strong. Next time we are in West Palm, we will definitely check it out. The tiki bar is in the hotel pool area and has a definite Caribbean feel. The bartenders were friendly. They have an extended happy hour. Check it out and tell me what you think.

Recommend as one of the better food options in the area! Its located inside a hotel/resort, so there is parking available. Wait staff was incredibly warm and kind- fantastic service and loved the recommendations. The restaurant was a nice casual ambiance- very in line with Singer island. Highly recommend the fish sandwiches - favorite was the blackened Mahi with the battered grouper a close second. This lunch was far better than the other spots we tried nearby!

The only reason this review is getting 2 stars instead of 1 is because the food was good and so was the ambience. However, the service was atrocious. Never had a server with such bad attitude. Straight from the jump just had no interest in making the evening a pleasant experience and it's sad because I probably would have rated it 5 stars. On top of that, she charged an automatic gratuity with no warning. I understand that places do that for large parties, but I've been to many places and this is the only establishment where I've been charged automatic gratuity on a 4 top. My family and I won't be coming here again due to the service.

Their burger with mushroom and bacon is really good. Their mango Margarita is so tasty! Service is great! Live music was on when we were there!

This establishment violates the American Disability Act by refusing service dogs. This happened to my handicapped husband who is a PSA service dog for his dementia. They lied and said he was unruly because the talent performing that night did not want them there.

Came here on 7/8/25 around 6:00pm with friends. Ordered grouper sandwich, Stromboli and a few beers/cocktails. Food and drinks were good. Service? Awful. Waitress was extremely rude during our entire stay and at the end she lost our credit card and blamed us. Finally went to the host stand to ask the manager for help finding the card because she was 0 help at all. Turns out, she left our card up at the host stand because she mixed it up with another tables. Awful. Wish I would have fought for compensation! Extremely frustrating experience and it's unfortunate because the food was great.

It's like being on the Love Boat. Nightly entertainment that fun! Catch your own fish and they will cook it for you!

We have eaten here a couple of times. First on the morning of August 27, 2024. Breakfast was ok but not great. My omelet was almost overcooked and not enough "stuffing" There was only one server on duty and they had to hustle to keep up with the many people eating. We ate again at the outside bar near the pool for supper We had two appetizers the bang bang shrimp and the grouper bites For entrees we had fish and chips and a burger all were ok but the burger was actually great I will say the food is ok but not super, for the price and given the restaurants within walking distance it could be much better. I will say sitting by the pool and having food or drinks brought to you is a plus. Some of the staff work very hard but others tend to focus their time on just a few people

They did some great upgrades to the tables and atmosphere here. The staff is always friendly and welcoming. You can sit inside and enjoy the live music or sit poolside. The food is always good here but nothing great.

The burgers here are quite good! Service is great and the ambiance is a little "old VFW lodge" type of feel. A lot of performers here.

I own a timeshare here so I have been here a handful of times. Each time I try the food I never enjoy it. It lacks flavor and just doesn't taste good. I feel like you are better off spending your money at a restaurant where you'll actually enjoy the food. It is convenient that this restaurant is on the property but I would still rather drive somewhere else for better taste, not the worst place ever but not good either.

The Islander Grill and Tiki Bar is poolside at the Palm Beach Shore Resort Spa in Palm Beach. It provides a well stocked bar with daily drink and food specials including the full menu from their restaurant. But the best thing about this cozy little nook of heaven is Ashley, the beautiful, fun loving, outgoing, and skilled bartender. Ashley is welcoming and friendly and knows what good service is all about. We can't wait to vacation there again so we can enjoy this tiki bar and Ashley's service.

Beautiful Sunday, live steel drum vibes - delicious lunch and a few margaritas. Can't go wrong at the Islander. We prefer the Tiki bar high tops - love to people watch as the restaurant is located in Palm Beach Shores Villas which I believe are timeshares - regardless - it's beachfront - large pool in the middle and a family a birds that seem to be the same ones I've seen for over a decade...Service was great - never disappoints

First the interior was decorated so beautiful, with the South Sea vibe. The service as very very good. I had a perfectly cooked a prime rib, delicious baked potato loaded and a very tasty frozen island drink. It was a great experience

The Tiki Bar was excellent and the bartender Ashley is one of my favorites she made us feel right at home and does a great job. As a owner on the property we appreciate that. Thanks Ashley and staff!!!!

Honestly. I'm a local. I miss the service level from 5 yrs ago. Yeah, we all miss Elisa, but there's no reason it has to be like it is....

The delicious ribs and seafood pasta we're over shadowed only by the exemplary service from our bartender Rob and waitress shadow!! 5 stars!

I was looking for some place to eat with my friend. I've been staying in hotel nearby. First what I want to tell is: food quality is "just eatable" Seabass for $36 was just beer buttered and deep fried. They have GRILL. Carrot and beans on side was taste like they microwave frozen food from grocery store. We were waiting for 40 minutes to get food in half empty restaurant. Drinks: my First Bahamas mama had too much spirit that it was not tasty to drink. Because we were waiting for long time they gave complimentary drink. It's only good point. Customer service is ok. Complimentary drink was better. It's DEFINITELY OVERPRICED FOR WHAT YOU GET. I actually don't see what you are paying for: outdated design, not good food, no view. Also they INCLUDED TIPS IN BILL. For me it's a sign that people don't like it. I CANT BELIEVE THAT ITS 4.4 star restaurant

Geo was an amazing waiter! So the food was good, but he really made our night. Thanks Geo. I have the shrimp filet penne and it was good, kids had chicken parm and devoured it, husband had the eggplant shrimp and really like it. Also, the entertainment/music was great. I would recommend this place.

Ok. A tad unassuming BUT.... 7 people all loved their food. Crusted Grouper Sandwich, fabulous Chicken Nachos, Grilled Salmon, Fish Tacos. All really really good. And service. Lacie was our server. We had kids. You know that is sometimes challenging. Lacie gave impeccable service. Efficient. Friendly. She was attentive and what a great ambassador!!

I was on a vacation with the fam in Singer Island. This restaurant is inside a nearby hotel. The hotel itself is old school Florida beach charm at its best. They have both indoor and outdoor seating. There was a live crooner singing to the crowd inside. Kinda kitschy vibe. Outdoor seating was near the pool. We really enjoyed it out there. The waitstaff was polite and attentive. The food was very good. They have a diverse menu with staple items that appeal to a wide arrange of people.

Great music, lousy food! Tomato bisque taste just like Campbell soup. Chicken dish had no flavor. Portion size is large, but for bland food you don't want to eat, you won't want to take it home! Family friendly with a full dance floor, go for the drinks and party. Eat before you arrive.

Please stay far away from this place if you are between the ages of 1-64. Waitress couldn't have been more rude and uninviting. Ordered a glass of wine which had multiple stains and even a seed sitting at the bottom. After asking for a new glass with no apology the next glass came back with lip stick stains all over the rim. At this point we debated leaving but with a 4.3 average review we figured the food would be unbelievable. Unfortunately, we were wrong. Food was ok at best. Pizza was super garlicky and the mahi tacos were very dry. Ambiance was very strange unless you grew up in the 70s. The band was solid but the people getting up to dance were way too close to the people trying to eat dinner. Overall, I'd stay away from this place.

wpest service I've ever had and terrible breakfast food. how do you mess up breakfast food???? that's just crazy to me. sat there after getting seated for over 15 min before ever even being approached for beverage service and they were NOT BUSY. tables beside us were left with dirty dishes, napkins, butter containers on floor etc. disgusting. have NEVER had such bad service from a "non busy" restaurant. will never be back. birds like do eat your food too fyi

We tried the happy hour 3 course dinner. We were very pleased with the portions and quality. Our server Jeff was actually the bartender and made us some delicious Rum buckets. We will be going back for lunch before leaving the resort.

The atmosphere was pleasant enough, and we enjoyed our cocktails. However, the food left much to be desired. We ordered lobster tail and vegetables -- which came out almost cold and vegetables did not have any seasonings on it. The service was adequate but not remarkable. Overall, I was hoping for a much better dining experience with how menu was priced and advertised.

Our server was sweet and accommodating. The food was very good and reasonably priced for this resort area. Every staff we encountered from valet, front desk and restaurant were polite and helpful. We will be back. Quaint old Florida decor.

I live on Singer island And have tried every fish taco from every restaurant... All five of them. Lol They range from decent to odd, the strangest being the fish tacos with a grilled large tortilla that are more like a quesadillas and had the least amount of fish , but I digress. All the mahi sandwich iterations on the island are decent like I said, but time after time after time these blackened mahi fish tacos stand up as the best ! They've got the best fillings that are the only ones to include black beans, and the most generous portion of fresh Mahi. The other sandwiches on this menu come with french fries - this item does not come with a side, and to be honest, you don't need it. They are quite filling and delicious. I've had them multiple times and I've never been disappointed, though the salsa/dipping sauce varies, it's usually pretty good. Most other restaurants on the island serve it with a pineapple salsa, which would actually be good with this taco, there's nothing to complain about their here either . I personally love to request extra lemons because lemons are everything, and as you'll see, the portion is quite generous Their margaritas are good, I wish they had better pricing... I ordered two margaritas and the tacos and wasn't expecting an almost $60 bill , but I did ask for a casaMigos so it is what it is. Especially since they went light on the tequila... but I really want to highlight their food Everything I've ever even tried here has been great including their mahi sandwich, and their pizza, which I believe their dough is made fresh each morning. It's the most like New York pizza you get. You cannot go wrong with anything on this menu The tiki bar vibe is great - it's high season now so pretty crowded but everyone wears masks while walking around which is the rule down here, and all the servers and bartenders always have their masks on. The service is fantastic ranging from the bartenders like Kelly, to the leaders like Ryan... They are fast and friendly and attentive.

My mom picked this place to try out and I (for some unknown reason) didn't look it up before arriving. It's in a bit of an unusual location- inside a condo/timeshare type of building. They offer free valet for restaurant guests but bring cash for tip. The inside of the restaurant needs an update from its 90s decor. We sat out by the pool and there was a LOT of flies- more than I'm accustomed to. There was a live performer who was as mediocre as the overall experience. Service was virtually non-existent. From the time we got sat until we saw the server was at least 20 minutes. Then once we ordered he checked on us once and we never saw him again. The other outside server dropped our food and we had to get a manager for the check. It was so odd as the other server seemed to be so friendly with his tables and people who sat after us for their food before we even saw our server to order. Overall food was pretty good,nothing to write home about. I was a little concerned it wasn't going to be good based on the service and that you can't have the grouper grilled since it comes pre-breaded (aka frozen), but my tacos were good. Parents said their sandwiches were fine but given the choice none of us would come back.

We checked in early and thought we'd get food at this place to kickstart the vacation. I figured it would set the expectations for the week since open table had it at 4.2 stars out of 5. It was a dump. We were the only people in the place and I know why. The food sucked. I wish I could say it in a nicer way but when you pay for something and the server knows you don't like it and does nothing about it you can say it sucked. I'd rather door dash a McDonald's kids meal over this places food. I'd rather door dash a sandwich from Burger King over a burger from this place. I'd rather door dash seafood from Captain D's over the seafood here. The ambiance needs a major overhaul. There is so much clutter and junk in the restaurant that the roaches think they're on an episode of hoarders.

All foods were microwaved food level but they requested Big guarantee on the receipt for 2 people. Never go there Especially side salad were so old and disgusting

It's like coming home every time we come in, from the valet , door man and host and saying hi to Greg, Popeye and Raul. Best live entertainment you ever hear for dancing or just listening. Food is good and reasonable especially if you get Shadow as a server. and you are always with first time friends. It's always a pleasure. Billy G.

This was walking distance from our resort to we visited one night on our last trip to the area. It was interesting...in a stepped back in time type of way. We went to the Tiki bar for drinks so we didn't order food, sit in the dining room, etc. The bar service was friendly and attentive, but most of the cocktails on their drink menu were made from mixes so were super sweet and syrupy. Not my thing, but that's okay....everyone else seemed to enjoy it. Music was Yacht Rock-like, which was fine. My friends and I are in our 50's and were on the young side of the majority of the people there. So, I assume the music genre was by design. It was an interesting experience...not great, not bad....just okay.

We went for breakfast because it was close by. Dining area was nice and clean. The food was good and properly cooked and served. My sausage links were over cooked unfortunately or it might have been five star experience.

Jerk chicken with rice, red beans and steamed vegetables was very good. Definitely recommend

This is absolutely the Best restaurant- great food and entertainment every night - the reason we come to Singer Island. Never a bad meal here and enjoy the entertainment. This place is the reason we stay in Singer Island. Sooo close to the Marriott - never need to drive. Prime rib is great FIVE STAR PLACE TO GO!
