The Islander Noosa Resort

Noosa Islander Resort used to be a affordable resort but change to management has seen the townhouse price double within one year. The resort is in a great location and we have stayed 4 times as a family and many times before we had kids. Our stay in December 2024 will be our last due the excessive price increase and decline in cleaning standards of the units. While the townhouse looking superficial clean we realised there was still rubbish under the furniture and in cupboard from previous guests. In addition, under the beds and windows frames were extremely dusty. The window shutters were black from dirt in one of the bedrooms. My son suffered flare in his hayfever the whole time he stayed due to the dust in his room. The washing machine had mould in the seal and the dryer filter was full on arrival. Plus on arrival the fridge was hot and was leaking on the floor - we were given towels to clean up the water and offered to change townhouse however we had already unpacked. While my kids enjoyed the resort we will not return due to the excessive increase in price and decline in cleaning standards. I don’t think the townhouses are up to the standard for the price increase. We have rebooked our yearly family trip to Noosa in a resort nearby at half the price.

My family of 5 stayed at the resort in November for the first time. The 3 bedroom villa I booked was very different to the pictures I saw, but in a much better way. It was completely renovated and just beautiful. It was very clean and well maintained, had everything you need in the kitchen and had lots of space for us all. The best part was that we had the pool right on our doorstep, a fantastic benefit when you have lots to lug around for kids. The pool area was serene and beautiful, and we swam every day we were there. Right outside the entrance to the resort was a cafe, restaurants, ice cream stores and was right across the road from the beautiful river. We enjoyed walks there every evening. We loved our stay and will definitely return.

We had villa No. 75, the WiFi is absolutely atrocious, mostly none available, no matter how many times you tell the reception, nothing is done. If WiFi is important to your stay avoid this villa. We booked through Booking.com, these villas are owned privately and rented out, so the resort reception does not respond for any villa issues whatsoever. The TV needs to be continually re-scanned to obtain the channels. The resort facilities generally are adequately good, with pools, saunas, spas etc.although can be crowded.

My wife, our 4 year old, our baby stayed at the islander in villa number 70 and we had an amazing stay the room was exceptionally clean the staff are always around cleaning up etc and so many restaraunts etc super close by. Lucy at reception was super helpful and polite and we will definitely return to the islander.

We stayed for 3 nights in a 3-bedroom villa and overall had a great time. The service was fantastic — the guest staff were kind, helpful, and always accommodating, which made our stay much more enjoyable. The villa was spacious and well-priced, and the location was ideal — close to shops, restaurants, and even the ferry, which was super convenient. That said, there are a few things that could definitely use some updating. The villa itself is quite outdated — from the furniture to the bed linen and blankets. The kitchen was a great size, but some of the appliances are in need of replacement. The washing machine lid was very rusted, which was quite concerning. The ensuite bathroom downstairs also had a persistent smell, likely from the pipes, which may need a proper deep clean. Also the shower heads need to be replaced or deep cleaned because of the built up soap scum that was quite visible. We also had some privacy concerns — there were only blinds (no curtains), and we had to keep them shut most of the time because our villa faced the outside pool and people could see straight in. The pool was advertised as heated, but with its large size, the warmth was barely noticeable. Despite these things, we still had a lovely time and appreciate the stay. With a few upgrades, this place could really be amazing.

Hi recommended, a real tropical paridise with Jets skis for hire only 150 metres away. Awesome walk trails and Noosa Heads a must go to place. Wonderful staff, absolute pleasure to deal with, everything AAA+++

What a great little find. Reasonably priced with 3 wonderful pools. Tennis court, games room. Friendly and helpful staff. Really lovely ambience surrounded by great food options and a supermarket within walking distance. I stayed in a gorgeous unit with a beautiful view of the main pool. Highly recommended.

Spacious 2 bedroom apartment with good whiteware including a washing machine & dryer. The units are a little dated but they are clean and well serviced. The beds are comfortable and there is ample bedding and towels. Staff, in particular Bella, were very helpful and friendly. We are happy to recommend this accommodation and know we will be back. Thank you all, we loved our stay.
