Location is perfect Our room was beautiful and clean. Simple room with simple amenities (bathroom was my favorite) ALL the staff was awesome for the 6 nights we stayed. Miguel was exceptional. Only thing I would have love to know before booking was that there is no parking for the hotel. We spent an additional $30 a night for parking also. And as a handicap person that would have been great to know.

We booked the double queen room, stayed for 3 nights it was a very spacious room, very clean and smelled good, the bathroom was nice, they cleaned the room everyday and gave us new towels everyday. The receptionist staff is very nice and accommodating, they have beverages for purchase in the lobby. Has a nice pool with a shower and bathroom downstairs. However there is no parking here. I would recommend to stay here because it is walking distance to many restaurants, souvenir shops, Walgreens and the beach.

I would definitely book again! The hotel looks exactly like the photos they posted. The front desk receptionists were very nice, Christopher Torres was very helpful! He answered questions, gave us suggestions on some places we should visit and he assured us Condado was a safe and secure area to walk around. House keeping don’t organize the rooms or change bedsheets but they do restock on towels and toiletries. The only downside is they don’t have microwaves in the rooms, only a mini fridge which was no use because we could not reheat our leftovers. We found out until the last day that they do have a microwave at the front though. I loved my stay here and I have nothing but good things to say about this place! Book it.

Pros: not corporate...great location one block from beach...large, quiet room. Check in was easy, fast and allowed us to do so several hours early. Cons: Almost no housekeeping for us! We stayed 8 nights and although our clean the room sign was visible outside our room every day, our room was only cleaned 1 time! Dirty towels got stacked up on floor (see photo) and I had to ask for clean towels every day (and toilet paper eventually too). Trash backed up. I asked for a broom to at least sweep the sand in the room myself...was not provided with one (in fact each time I went to the desk to ask they took my room number for some reason...but nothing ever happened). Spoke to 2 different people at the front desk about getting the room cleaned on 2 separate occasions with nothing happening. We saw a cleaning person cleaning the room across from us and assumed we would be next...so we grabbed our things and left quickly...unfortunately no one cleaned the room. Kind of unacceptable and eventually unsanitary...as one of the front counter people said to me it should have been cleaned everyday. If you read the reviews from the last month or 2 the service is going downhill. I'd recommend another hotel in the same area Hotel location etc excellent...hotel service poor.

Location 10/10 Wifi 0/10. Never worked. Once. Functionality of room 3/10. No storage or place to put your belongings. No bedside dressers. Only one plug. No fridge. No microwave. The sliding bathroom door didn’t work and always popped open. We were given the handicapped room, which was fine but because there was no “lip” in the shower so water ran out into the bathroom when you showered. The handicap room also included an outdoor soaking tub, strange for handicap but beautiful. We never got to use it because it was very dirty and under a tree that dropped leaves constantly. We asked for our room to be cleaned at least 5 times to which they assured us it would be. The room was only cleaned on the last 2 of our 5 nights. Eventually we had to put 3/4 days of towels piled up out in the hallway. Towels/ washcloths/ beach towels are not always available. And we had to go and ask for them on our own constantly. Ice also was not available very often. I’ll definitely be back to San Juan but not Ivy. The price was decent but I’m sure you could pay a little more for a more quality stay.

Beautiful Hotel. Friendly, kind and sufficient staff that I look forward to seeing on my next visit. Hotel is clean and perfectly maintained. It also smells so good. The pool area is gorgeous and picturesque. 5 minute walk to lots of restaurants and Condado Beach. A big thank to Alexander for taking great care of us. See you soon.

Great stay at the Ivy Hotel! We only stayed for one night. Pros: staff was fast, we were able to store our luggage (2 bags) until check in. Pool was very pretty. 4th floor has a very cute patio area with some high top tables and chairs. Room was clean. Walking distance to everything! Cons: no towels in the room (we had to ask but received them right away) and no mini fridge or ice available for the room. Water was cold in shower.

I just returned from a beautiful vacation and decided to write this review b/c I believe they deserve it. I had gone to PR before and stayed at a different hotel. Surprisingly, I discovered that the other hotel was from the same owner as The Ivy. Anyway, I chose The Ivy this time around because I had walked past it previously, and it caught my attention. When I tell you this place did not disappoint, I kid you not, it was terrific. From check-in to check-out, everything was perfect. Our room was super clean, beautifully set up, and smelled amazing, and there was even relaxing music playing on the TV. I felt like I was in a trance. Our windows faced the pool area, which was also lovely, and to our surprise, we had our private patio with an outdoor tub and a seating area. The guy at the front desk was very attentive and friendly, which made the experience even better. I would stay here again and again. I’m happy.

Yelp
Pros it's a great location. We were by a lot of restaurants and walking distance to the beach, cvs, Walgreens, a nice coffee shop, and a few bars. The appearance of the room was nice. They have made updates. There was a mini fridge and a pool onsite. I had a double queen room. Cons They are washing and giving out towels, hand towels, and wash clothes by request. They were not in the rooms at check in. They all need replaced as they were dingy and worn. The same for the bed sheets. The house keeping wasn't the best. There were stray hairs in all kinds of places...floors and the sheets. My card was overcharged $540 more than the amount on Expedia. I tried working with the hotel then Expedia after 5 days I disputed with my bank. I was given non working numbers and emails with no response. I am TA and would not recommend this place to anyone based on the way they handled the overcharge.

Yelp
On a positive note, we loved the location, good neighborhood, close to bars and restaurants, safe to walk at night. BUT when we arrived at 1pm, after having traveled 8hrs overnight, we were hot and tired, and they wouldn't let us in room until 4pm. When we finally got in, the room was small, and they really don't have any amenities. You've got to go to their sister property for a continental breakfast. The pool is small and cold - it gets NO sunlight where it's situated and they have no spa, and no cable tv. When I asked for extra towels at arrival, I was told they didn't have any, and towels we had looked like they'd seen better days. When we wanted to go to beach, we were told there were no beach towels. Mattress was stained. Light fixtures were coming from walls and you could tell walls had been patched. Also, our room was by the elevator, so it sounded like cannon fire every time it was called. We'll definitely be choosing a different property for our next visit to San Juan.

Yelp
We dropped off our stuff at 3:00 pm, but check in was at 4. That's fine. We got a piña colada and we came back at 5:00 and our room wasn't ready until 6pm. They said it needed to be cleaned. We sat there in the lobby as she cleaned our room. Another patron's room was double booked and he got over charged by $500. Our stay wasn't awful but there were no towels, the outdoor bathtub looked really nice but was filthy to the point of being unusable (we would have cleaned it out with towels but again there were none). The computers were down so they couldn't make keys. The green wall out by the pool was falling down. They just don't seem to take care of the place very well. It seems to be owned by a conglomerate that has several properties in the area. I'm glad we were only there one night. Parking around the corner is $19 a night. The walls are super thin you can hear everything.

Yelp
Too bad they don't have minus stars! They charged me for a deposit however I had canceled. I called, sent messages on their chat, which they never answered, but sent me applications to work in Spanish! I even went down to reception standing there as they wrote an email to the finance dept. which was not there when I was there on a Friday and on a Monday during working hours. The time and aggravation required to just get a refund. I'm sure others that are traveling may overlook this or assume it was taken care of. So is this their way to skim more off the top? After reading these reviews, I'm glad I canceled; the only thing good about this hotel is the location,

Yelp
We loved this hotel (HIDDEN GEM). It's in the center of everything and you everything is at a walking distance. They have great customer service and will do their best to help out with anything. Will definitely be coming back soon on our next trip here!!! The only downside is that they don't have a parking lot but there are multiple public parking spaces (for a fee which other hotels also charge) nearby.

Yelp
Never stay here!!!! We stayed here on our way home from vacation. We live in a Puerto Rico. The hotel seemed fine for a one night stay... oh how I was wrong. When we arrived the room had no towels, a dirty stained lounger and window shade that you could not open. We informed the front desk and went to dinner. When we returned and got ready for bed we found that the internet did not work nor did the tv as it was "updating". The next morning we tried to use the coffee pot and it did not work. As we were going out to get coffee, we told the front desk. We were not offered a solution for the coffee pot nor were we even asked what room we were in... When we went to check out there was no one at the front desk to check out! Today I check my credit card to see that I was charged again by The Ivy for a room I had already paid for. When I called today I was told that it was our responsibility to make sure their amenities worked! I was also yelled at and hung up on! Terrible! FYI the also own The Wave Hotel and the San Geronimo Hotel... I would avoid them all!

Yelp
Rooms are dirty , bedding isn't freshly washed , bathroom shower walls and shower doors have built up grime on them and hotel overall doesn't appear to be clean. Parking is valet parking other than that this hotel is a nightmare with a shiny bow. The walls & windows are paper thin. You can hear the music playing ALL NIGHT LONG. Every-time someone comes or goes into their rooms you can hear it . Also the phone number to hotel seems to be disconnected. Stay at your own will . BEWARE !

Yelp
This hotel robbed me of refund and when I called the front desk rep hung up when I tried to call back I was blocked called from another line and got thru the service is horrible very rude

Yelp
Smells like garbage, hotel check in too late we called earlier for early check in but got no answer, if check out is at 11 a room should be ready at 1 pm but the house keeper's are walking around on there cells

Yelp
WORST HOTEL EVER. Wouldn't recommend to anyone literally. Wish i could rate zero stars cause it's not worth one. I'm leaving this review after my first night staying here out of 3 days and I'm ready to go. When i checked into my room the toilet was dirty which make me feel like they didn't clean the bathroom, literally in the middle of Covid that's disgusting. When i asked the guy to clean the toilet he came with only a rag no spray no nothing just a rag to wipe the toilet. There's no WiFi so the tv don't work so i haven't been able to watch tv while here and they have direct tv but only 3 channels work literally that's not me being over dramatic. The walls here are paper thin. I was woken up this morning thanks to the front desk playing music and being loud for 2-3 hours straight starting at 6/7 and going to about 9/10. When i called the front desk the music stopped which is how i know they were making the noise. This place is ridiculous please save yourself book elsewhere!
