Super lovely place to stay. A block from the beach. Had a wonderfully simple bfast that was delicious with homemade granola. The room was amazing and location was perfect.|Everything was super clean and tidy and the staff was extremely friendly and accommodating. Couldn’t recommend this place more.|Close to great spots in Asbury Park for dinner.

From the moment me and my husband 🌈 arrived, The James Bradley and it’s GM Emily welcomed us with open arms. The rooms are gorgeous and so comfortable, not to mention filled with furniture and decor from local artisans. We had their add on smores by the fire which was so luxurious and their hot breakfasts made to order (weekend only) were super scrumptious. We only wish it was a long weekend so we could stay one more night!

Very comfy beds, quiet. Emily Wright is the GM and she’s super helpful. Continental breakfast during the week is ok, on weekends there is regular breakfast available. |The decor is cool and quirky, lots of interesting features. Lovely front porch and other sitting areas. Plants galore. |The tv in the rooms are strange, be sure to bring your passwords for Netflix, Appletv, etc., because regular tv stations are terrible. Porch furniture is fashionable but not the most comfy. |Conveniently located, easy 1block walk to the beach. The hotel has beach chairs and umbrella available. |My suggestion would be that coffee/tea service would be available all the time. |We will return! |Thank you!

Not your typical hotel—in the best way. It feels like a blend of a boutique bed & breakfast and a Gen Z design dream: black-and-white palette, natural woods, and thoughtful, cozy touches everywhere. The rooms are small (no desk), and front desk closes at 8pm—but they explain everything clearly at check-in. You can tell a lot of care went into the space, from eco-friendly paint to curated local artwork. Not for everyone, but if this is your vibe, you’ll absolutely love it.

The hotel is SO lovely! Beautiful landscaping and sitting areas outdoors. The rooms are sleek, modern and comfy. Breakfast and muffins/cakes/pastries are delicious! Can't wait to return for another wonderful stay.

This is a very well- run B&B (akin to a small hotel actually). Wonderful staff who were available for every need. Breakfast options were varied and tasty and the rooms were spotless and comfortable. My only rec is to put darkening shades in the room as the sun comes through very early and very brightly.

OUTSTANDING place to stay in Bradley Beach. The hotel is cozy and wonderful and they do an awesome breakfast that is included. A quick walk to the beach and an easy walk to Main Street and plenty of restaurants, etc. They even provide beach towels, chairs, and umbrellas. Staff is super friendly and helpful. We will definitely be back!

The James Bradley was a wonderfully relaxing environment. The staff was super communicative via their text message system. The rooms were clean and comfortable. The location is great being a block away from the beach and a 10 minute walk to nearby restaurants. I’m looking forward to visiting again in the future.

Yelp
The James Bradley would get a 10 star rating if there were one. Without knowing, they upgraded me and I was in awe with the hospitality they gave. It's Absolutely an amazing and beautiful place to stay especially so close to the beach. Breakfast was great, fast and delicious. Also their massage packages were so convenient my wife enjoyed her appointment she'd say 10/10 on the massage and her masseuse took her time and really helped relax everything. I'd recommend The James Bradley to anyone and everyone who's going to Bradley Beach or near by.

Yelp
The lobby and dining area, porch and sitting areas are beautiful. Our room was also quite lovely but could've used some more amenities like perhaps a place to sit and eat as we ordered food, utensils (we ended up getting some from the front desk) and a trash can? I'm all for minimalism but there needs to be functionality behind it. As for breakfast; more gluten free options please! And the soft boiled eggs we chose were either cooked too hard or way undercooked. The yogurt and fruit was delicious! Our server was great.

Yelp
THE most stylish and relaxing beach hotel you can dream up on the Jersey Shore. I stayed here on a recommendation of a friend and was delighted that I booked it. I felt recharged after my mini-cation at The James Bradley. I stayed in the James Master Suite and have to say I was impressed - from the tasteful decor to the linens, it was a real getaway. The room came fully stocked with yummy à-la-cart goodies. The staff was really nice and accommodating. They suggested great spots in town to eat. Don't miss the breakfast buffet - the granola was top tier. Best of all, the beach was a 2 minute walk!

Yelp
We had a nice enough stay but there were some things that were just a bit awkward that could be easily fixed to make a stay better. Starting with the entrance to the rear building - walking through gravel while towing bags and such isn't ideal. Why not place paving stones? Then in the bathroom - no place to put anything. We occupied two bedrooms with one bath between. So four of us shared the one bath but there's not enough towel racks to hang 4 towels, or shelf space for much more than 4 toothbrushes. It wasn't terrible, just awkward. And finally, no "do not disturb" signs to hang on the door. So housekeeping managed to wake up our sleeping teen twice. And housekeeping is a funny word for it because they took all the washcloths without leaving dry ones, but left the dirty dishes from the welcome cookies. No big deal but just a little awkward. One last issue - we couldn't figure out how to turn off the TV so we had to unplug it to go to sleep. On the plus side, the baked goods offered at the morning breakfast were all delicious!

Yelp
This was a great place to stay. It was clean recently renovated, comfortable & modern. The breakfast offered was made fresh in their kitchen each day and was delicious. Just 1 block to the beach. Be sure to book your reservations early! We will be back!

Yelp
The James in Bradley Beach is a Fantastic Place to Stay at the Jersey Shore The newly refurbished "The James" is a lovely Bed and Breakfast, just one block from the ocean in beautiful Bradley Beach. Named for one of the town's founders, James Bradley, it began as a large Victorian mansion. Now The James is an intimate sanctuary, comprised of 17 guestrooms, suites, and a bungalow spread across three historic buildings. The rooms have fascinating designs by Sebastian Zuchowicki, one of the top American interior designers. Based in New York City, he is renowned as a "visual storyteller who transcends space through the use of fine art, objects, and timeless interiors." The James boasts unique contemporary designs with classical and coastal elements that highlight the simple beauty of the Jersey Shore. Distinctive decorative finishes by Lucas Willing Studios transform spaces into special sanctuaries. Delicious breakfasts are included in your stay, and an outstanding internet connection is available for those who must stay connected to the outside world. This area of the Jersey Shore provides mile after mile of beautiful, pristine ocean views. Consider staying at The James and enjoy a wonderful opportunity to relax and refresh. As a former NJ Assistant Commissioner of Health and former President of the NJ Public Health Association, I give The James my highest rating. The James is located at 204 3rd Avenue in Bradley Beach, NJ 07720 and the website is https://www.thejamesbradleybeach.com/

Yelp
Exceptional! Totally zen, modern with a warm and welcoming vibe. I loved my stay here. They decor is simple and beautiful, the staff was accommodating and kind, and the food was incredible. A block or so from the beach with street parking. My room was very comfortable and relaxing and I loved the warm homemade cookies on my dresser when I checked in. Such a nice touch. The back yard fire pits were unexpected and fun. I'd love to rent all 10 rooms for a girls weekend. I just loved it here!

Yelp
Such a unique hotel in a quiet New Jersey beach town . Beautifully decorated and immaculate inside and outdoors. The hotel staff, Brandon, Keith and Tatiana, are always ready to assist you on whatever you need. Breakfast is served daily, continental style weekdays and full breakfast on weekends.

Yelp
# 1 BEST BOUTIQUE HOTEL IN NEW JERSEY We hosted our company holiday dinner party here Dec. 2022. Private chef's food and service was incredible. Common areas and rooms of this boutique hotel are gorgeous. Freshly baked cookies on arrival and nightly turndown service. The morning breakfast was delicious. The hotel staff were beyond helpful with every detail. There is NO other hotel in New Jersey like this.

Yelp
This place is a hidden gem at the Jersey shore. We herd about this place being remodeled over the winter so we couldn't wait to give it try. When you arrive from the outside you can tell this place is special but when you open the door to this wonderful boutique inn you can tell the owner payed attention to every detail in this place from the scents you smell through the grounds to the art work on the walls and the lighting throughout there is nothing like this at the Jersey shore. The bedroom was much bigger than I expected and all rooms have there own private bathroom all remodeled throughout this entire place. All this one block from the beach this year I was lucky to get a room when people start to hear about it like I did and find out how wonderful and clean it is you won't be able to get in .

Yelp
Beyond chic! My boyfriend and I wanted to get out of Manhattan for a last minute trip to the beach but did not want to drive to Montauk. We found The James in Bradley Beach and it was perfect! It is only an hour from Soho. The outdoor garden was magical and the room was amazing. We booked another stay there for July before we checked out.
