The James Hotel Rotterdam

We had an amazing stay at this Rotterdam hotel! The reception staff were all super stylish, always smiling, and made us feel very welcome. Our room was spacious, comfy, and spotlessly clean. The view from the 12th floor was absolutely breathtaking — I honestly felt like I was in New York! 🤣 We also loved the 24/7 market and the cozy sofas in the lounge area. The location is perfect — right in the heart of the city, making it easy to explore everything. Everything about this hotel felt thoughtful and well taken care of. Definitely a stay we’ll remember!

The facilities in the room were great, very modern and met our needs. |We didn’t use the breakfast option during our stay, simply for flexibility in our stay. |We would highly recommend The James and would definitely return if back in Rotterdam again.

We visited here during our stay for the Football game. We were shocked at how good this hotel was. The customer service was unbelievable, first impressions of the hotel as you walk in, are really good. The rooms were great, they were clean and comfortable and the shower was top drawer. If I was coming back to Rotterdam, I'd definitely be staying here again.

Stayed here for 2 nights to attend a conference that was less than 10 mins walk from the hotel. I wanted somewhere that was safe, clean and quiet. I was delighted with my stay, especially how quiet the room was at night time. I didn't hear anything from the other rooms! Front desk staff were always friendly and helpful. I really enjoyed the 24 hour area on the 2nd floor where you could buy coffee, snacks etc or just relax there. The gym was a bonus too!

What a good hotel to stay a few days! Friendly and welcoming front desk, rooms are clean, quiet, nice bathroom and comfortable bed. Spacious lounge on 2nd floor, good music and sound system, 24/7 open with self service for snacks, beverages and coffee with reasonable price tags. Location is perfect. Wifi below expectations: surprisingly slow even during daytime. Fully recommended!

The James is my go-to hotel when I visit my family in Rotterdam. Rooms are quiet, clean and comfortable, staff are friendly and welcoming, and I love the sitting room/mini market space, which is great for chilling in the evening. Francisca, who organises breakfast, is a diamond - really friendly and helpful, and has been there for years! The hotel is very central, and well placed for easy access from Rotterdam Centraal. Lots of bars and restaurants nearby.

Second time in this hotel. Arrived at 12:00, walking distance from train station Rotterdam Central, and did the check-in paperwork. Left my luggage in locked area, to explore the city. Shops, food and museums all walking distance. Came back at 15:00 when room was ready (official time to check-in). Room on 18th floor, street side, city view (Erasmusbrug, Euromast, shops down below...). Breakfast not important to me, so fridge in the room was perfect for my own grocery shopping, stores nearby. No lock on inside of door, I still felt safe. Cosy bathroom, shower and bath, maybe too small if you're not traveling solo. Lighting too dim for doing mal-up, but took small mirror with little light to the desk at the window. I stayed for a week, would have liked more hangers for clothing (only 5). Enough shelves. Paid small amount for late check-out, untill 13:00 instead of 11:00. Friendly staff, cosy vibes, warm lighting. Didn't want to leave!

Delightful room, very nice reception. Held our luggage for us. Blackout drapes. IPTV. Ask for shower may if worried about slipping. Only thing that could have been better was if they had a way to do laundry, other than sending it out, since timing could have been an issue. Otherwise, no hesitation at all.

Gorgeous hotel in central Rotterdam, about a 10-minute walk from the Centraal Station (which itself is an incredible architectural marvel). The James is a beautifully designed and immaculate place to stay; we loved the King bed, large shower and--on the 85-degree day we were in town--the AC. The staff was friendly and helpful and even stored our 10+ pounds of cheese (yes, we have a problem) in the hotel's main fridge because our in-room mini fridge couldn't keep the cheese cool enough. We also enjoyed the mini gym, the gorgeous lounge (pic attached) and the convenient location. Another bonus: there are just five to six rooms per floor, so you don't have people coming and going at all hours, which meant a quiet, restful sleep.

Really nice hotel, Very clean and the staff was accommodating. We enjoyed the Christmas decor and aromas in the hotel. The hotel's store was moderately priced and the location was in a nice area. Would visit again.
