The James Hotel Rotterdam

I enjoyed my stay here last month very much. The hotel is in a super location, an easy 10 minute stroll from the train station, a street away from the shopping area, with plenty of dining options nearby. The hotel public areas are smart, and the reception and cleaning staff are helpful and friendly. I’d upgraded my room to a comfort double when booking, and it was very nice. Huge room, with everything you needed for a few nights stay including tea and coffee facilities, a fridge, hairdryer, toiletries (take your own shower cap ladies) and a very comfortable large bed. I liked their self serve food and drinks concept (in a very comfortable lounge with plenty of comfort seating) as it meant you could grab food and drinks whenever you needed- and they were well priced. I would stay again.

This is a lovely hotel beautifully decorated with nice ambience. The receptionist team are very helpful. Safe parking, good sized rooms, great bath and shower. No restaurant but there’s a self service cafe for a basic breakfast which was actually quite novel and easy to use. Decent WiFi which after France was great. Would definitely use this place again.

Very nice service that you can always count on in almost every respect. The restaurant has very good food and the chef always prepares everything very well .The rooms are very clean and spacious and at the same time very cozy. The beds are so comfortable that it was difficult to get me out of it. Moreover, this place is very affordable considering the great service they offer. The location is also very great in the center of Rotterdam and even though it is in the city center it is very quiet and peaceful

Very friendly staff who seem to be always happy to help. I also reserved a parking spot in their garage before we arrived and always received quick responses via email. There's a fitness room, which is a bonus, and lounge as well. This lounge isn't the coziest or most inviting lounge I've ever visited but it's nice to have. Prices are very wallet-friendly for a hotel with a location like this. Why three stars? I found the room to be disappointing, and for me that's the most important part of a hotel stay.

Very nice, modern and stylish hotel. We got lucky and had been selected for a free room upgrade. Honestly looking at the price difference I would book the upgrade next time. The staff were lovely and the hotel was very clean and well kept. I liked the mini market arrangement. Having things on demand worked well. Also the hotel gives you discount vouchers for 2 local cafes so if you do want a more traditional dining experience the option is there. I would definitely visit again. When I next visit Rotterdam this is definitely the first hotel I will look at.

The service encountered at this hotel is the best I have ever experienced. From check-in to check-out, every staff member was attentive and went above and beyond. More than once, the personal attention that I received was unexpected but very appreciative. Special shout out to Amanda who personally ensured my boarding passes were printed and she delivered to my room. I was not well and she more than once checked on me to see if I needed anything.The rooms are really tidy,professional service,Thank You to all Team,You are The Best:D

I had a fantastic stay at The James. From the lovely staff all around the hotel to the cosy room and convenient food market, everything was on point. I particularly enjoyed the quietness of my room, bar a few trafic noises late at night, and I loved the view and how comfortable the bed was.|I was treated with a welcome drink, and I enjoyed the coffee machine as well. Made time to use the gym, which was nice, too.|The location is ideal as a base to explore the whole of Rotterdam, and it's close to the train station.

Modernistic upscale hotel near Rotterdam Central station (15 min walk). The James Hotel has a luxury feel. The room was quite spacious and with refrigerator and safe. Others have commented on light level. I have found many European hotels are not that brightly lit and The James was on par with hotels I've stay in Brussels, Amsterdam, and Luxembourg. The reception staff were friendly and efficient. The James has what amounts to a small convenience store on the 2nd floor where you can purchase a continental breakfast to for less than 10 euros along snacks bear and wine. There is a nice lounge area here as well. I was very pleased with my 1 night stay at The James.||Stadhuis Rotterdam tram stop is about 250 m (3 min) away and the Markthal and Cube Houses are less than 1 km about 15 min walk (near Rotterdam Blaak station). Lijnbaan shopping street is 1 block away. An Albert Heijn (Coolsingel) supermarket is with in 5 min. walk.
