The jazz room is a big venue. Lots of different options like billiards, multiple pubs. Live music pretty much every day. They have a good music system and cameras so you can enjoy the show from any place. The venue is also intimate. You are not more than 3 tables away from any place. The amount of talent available is vast. The food is not overly expensive as expected.

Disappointing! I came from the Niagara area to attend the Lance Anderson tribute to Ray Charles. Arrived in advance of show and was tucked into a side room as no seats were avaialalbe in front of stage. Service was slow and food was less than adequate. Thank goodness for Lance and company for good tunes.

Amazing as usual. Fast service although thr room was packed. Food was good as usual and sound was impeccable. We got a table way back and it feels uncomfortable watching for a while with your heads turned but it is worth it!

I took one semester at the university and went to this jazz club almost every week during that time. It’s the most amazing place with GREAT, varied music, good food and drinks and awesome vibe! I especially appreciated that it’s a non talking venue and the amazing artists and crowd always delivering great atmosphere and quality jazz. I miss this place so much now that I don’t live in Canada anymore, I hope to be back one day!😎

Best Jazz venue in South Western Ontario. By a long shot. Great food, great music and craft beer. All at reasonable prices. Who could ask for more?

Wonderful venue with an emphasis on listening to the music. The jazz room consistently has top tier musicians for a very reasonable price (especially if you’re under 30). The food and drink selection is alright and the service has always been great!

Amazing music ruined by the worst host I have met. The host did everything possible to make our experience miserable. They don't care about people who love jazz and made the atmosphere the worst. I came as a customer and was treated like I owed something to the person at the door for asking to be seated with my pre purchased tickets. We were constantly observed, and snide comments with rude tones were served to us instead of food that night. Amazing music again but would not recommend!!!

Attended a live performance by a good friends son yesterday. Music and atmosphere was fine. We ordered schnitzel diner to share. The waiter brought one plate and said use the bread plate to eat with. It was the worst schnitzel I have ever had. Overcooked and tough, mashed potatoes were cold. When I complained to the server Andrew he apologized but did nothing. Spent $75 for beers and dinner. Will NOT go back.

Yelp
Great spot for jazz and food. Be sure to book online to ensure admittance. Walk-ins only when room.

Yelp
The KW Jazzroom is in its 9th season and shows no sign of stopping! This place is the "Cat's meow" of jazz in South Western Ontario. A literal "must see" of moosik. Some of the best damned jazz on earth in fact has trotted through these doors including Alain Caron, Ted Quinlan, Dave Young, Rob Botos, and many MANY more. All world class. The ambiance is great, the craft beer is great and most of all it's a "listening venue" so you can actually hear the MUSIC! Hat's off to the organizers of this great venue, together with the fabulous musicians, volunteers, staff and the Huether Hotel.

Yelp
So I discovered this gem in uptown Waterloo - it's a shame that there hasn't been a review on this place yet! So the Jazz Room is a non-profit company that features many famous and not-so-famous jazz singers who are on the rise. They find many companies that can sponsor the shows so people here can enjoy a performance for minimal charge. The tickets are significantly cheaper than in bigger cities! Additionally, the room is pretty small that the ambiance is laid-back and cozier. You can really feel the connection with the performers. This place is really for jazz lovers only. I wouldn't call this a typical lounge because most of the room is no talking! just listening. I really enjoyed this experience as some days I am feeling a bit jazzy (haha). I wasn't sure what I was expecting when I went there by myself. The website only told me "Come for dinner, stay for the music! Cover charges at the door typically range from $12 to $20 and general admission seating is on a first-come first-served basis. Come out and experience the magic of live jazz in a prime spot for fun on the weekend!". When I arrived there, there were communal tables in dim lighting and the crowd was so inviting that I had a great time going there by myself. Additionally, Barbra Lica who was performing was amazing! Many couples of varying ages (not too many young people) enjoying good music and bottles of wine there. The show was few hours long for me and my apetite encouraged myself to order a side of perogies with the good music. I kept my expectations low due to the place being a lounge, but to my surprise, the food was one of the best I've had in Waterloo. The perogies were loaded with carmelized onions and red peppers, microgreens and nicely seasoned pork belly pieces. Yum! I'll be back! Maybe with a friend next time.

Yelp
This place is simply awesome. The food is good and decently price. The music is amazing. They bring some great acts from Toronto and the sound is very good. The Yamaha piano sounds very good and its certainly among the best places to hear some good jazz in the city
