I made a reservation for a deluxe room via Agoda, but upon arrival, I was downgraded to a lower-tier room. The hotel claimed it was due to an OTA (Agoda) issue and instructed me to handle the matter myself with Agoda.
After contacting Agoda and confirming that the booking was valid, the hotel still insisted there were no available rooms of the original type. I was left with no choice but to accept the downgraded room. Additionally, the room had a faulty door lock, raising serious safety concerns.
I wasted several hours resolving this issue, going back and forth between Agoda and the front desk, which severely disrupted my travel plans and rest time. This level of service is unacceptable from an established hotel.
