Ideal location, but not much facilities though. The hotel room is big with a fashionable western styled design. I stayed over for one night, arrived at Saturday night and left for Sunday morning. The busy Gaya Street makes it fun at Saturday night but the Sunday market can be very noisy as the market starts very early in the morning. All in all a pleasant stay!

The perfect hotel! Some may not like it as it doesn't have the latest fancy TV sets and so on.. but full of charm, ideally located.Very affordable and very good soundproof from the street!!

If you want to have a relaxing hotel experience, pick another one! Construction works are still to finish and the inconvenience is huge. There was no water flawing mechanism, so for three days, every time we had to use the bathroom for toilet or shower, we had to informe a guy that would activate the water pump for us… results? Bathroom always wet. Service from reception did not do much more to resolve the problem. No compensation or partial refund was offered.

My experience during my stay at the hotel was unsatisfactory. The wall socket is inoperative, necessitating that I charge my mobile phone near the entrance door. Additionally, the toilet lock is malfunctioning, and when I turned on the television, the image was unclear and distorted. The food that was served was cold.

I loved the hotel with its colonial atmosphere, marble entrance floor and bathroom, beautiful, comfortable room. The location is amazing, on the street where the brilliant Saturday night Market is, and the Sunday morning Market as well. Fairly close to the harbour front for amazing sunsets and the fish Market at night- choose your fish and they'll cook it and you eat it there. For these reasons I would definately stay again. There is no cafe or restaurant which is a shame as it would be so fabulous to sit in that lovely entrance area by the paino and have afternoon tea! Also no breakfast there. However 'Old Town' cafe is opposite and very pleasant for breakfast or a snack, and the Japanese restaurant next door is also good if you don't want to go far.The staff are friendly but a bit 'switched off'. It says in the hotel information that tours are offered but the staff say they don't do this. I had to keep asking abut transport information as they felt it wasn't their role to give it! This hotel could easily offer more support to visitors regarding where to go and how to book it. I got more helpful information from the shop assistant I bought clothes from in the shopping mall. 😅

When I rate this hotel with 4 stars then I have taken into consideration that it is a low cost hotel. The hotel itself needs upgrades, but the room was clean, shower worked and with plenty of hot water. The staff in the reception was just super nice (3 girls) and helpful.|Only thing you need to do (if possible) is to book the room without breakfast, as it is the worst breakfast I have ever had. There is a nice breakfast restaurant across the street.

Conveniently sited in the centre of the town, so you can walk to most places, or catch a taxi (called a grab ride here). There was work going on when we were there, so breakfast was very limited (3 choices only) and had to be chosen the previous day. The room was very nice, spacious with a nice bathroom and a safe.
