The Jetty Seafood Shack

The worst experience I have ever had - avoid this place and choose any other fish and chip shop in Kalbarri instead! Without seeing the menu, I ordered the garlic prawns over the phone as it was the only gluten free option apart from plain fish. They made me pay over the phone which I hadn’t done before but didn’t think too much of it. When I received my order, I can see why they charged me upfront as no one would ever pay $30 for some prawns covered in white onion and sweet chilli sauce - what an absolute joke! Could not recommend this place any less - absolutely terrible!

Quite possibly the worst fish and chips I have ever had. Batter was soggy and oily and the chips limp and tasteless. The potato cakes were just inedible. All had to be binned. Not even hot Would give a - star if I could.

Had this last night for dinner. Was delicious, couldn’t fault. Chips were very good, not over fried like a lot of places do. Fish was lovely, batter was really nice (not greasy). We also got the spring rolls, which were yum! Next level, not your average spring roll.

Absolutely disgusting worst fish n chips I’ve ever tasted. Ordered one piece of snapper, one piece of Bronze Whaler $6 & $12 of chips. The chips were soggy and cooked in dirty oil, the shark and snapper both dripping in grease tasted frozen and could not tell the difference seemed both pieces of fish were the same for $57 absolutely rip off, for s coastal fishing town disgraceful. DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY!!!!!!

Best fish and chips we’ve had in a long time!! Fish batter was perfectly crisp and chips were deliciously crispy! Friendly staff. Highly recommend!!

Spent a high price for our order and was ok with it due to the location and time of the year. What we got was rubbish, the serving size was small, the chips were soggy and the serving of fish and chips was minimal. When I rang to discuss with the then there response was basically to bad. Have had fish and chips from the kalbarri fish and chips and would recommend them over the jetty.

It was the worst Fish & Chips I have ever had chucked half of it away. Potato cakes were tough like rubber, chips were un tasty. Calamari rings were not nice. try a different fish and chip shop

Unfortunately, after previous years of great food and service, tonight was a complete let down. The fish was so thickly battered and way too greasy and the chips were limp and undercooked. We’ve always had a great meal here but tonight would actually go down as the worst fish and chips we’ve ever had. The staff were still friendly but that doesn’t make up for the $$$ spent on a meal we barely ate. I’m hoping just a blip for them given previous years we have visited. The staff did say they’re about take a break so maybe tired cooks or maybe just old oil and lack of care. Disappointing.
