My husband and I had the pleasure of staying at this property. The Jung Hotel is very classy, modern, and spotless. From the moment you step into the lobby, you’re greeted with a clean, refreshing scent that sets the tone for your stay. ||Monique promptly greeted us at the front desk and provided outstanding customer service. She was extremely welcoming and truly embodies Southern Hospitality. Monique provided a great first impression! The Bellhop, Troy, was also very pleasant and friendly. ||Our room was exactly what we had hoped for. It was spacious, comfortable, and beautifully designed. We explored the property and were amazed by how expansive the Jung is. The hotel features numerous meeting and banquet rooms, an outdoor pool, a decent gym, which I used every day during our stay, and plenty of inviting sitting spaces throughout the lobby. Each area is tastefully decorated with unique furniture and stunning light fixtures.||I highly recommend staying at The Jung Hotel. If you’re visiting New Orleans, you will not be disappointed. I am already looking forward to our next stay!

The hotel room was spacious and modern. It was very nice and comfortable to sleep in. However, when I clicked the “clean room” button, no one came and cleaned our room. So in the future, I recommend going up to the front desk directly and telling them that you need your room cleaned. There’s a public piano there (it’s a baby grand) which my husband loved to play. He’s been playing for quite a long time and enjoyed being able to still play the piano even when he went traveling to NOLA. This hotel is located in a nice area of town. Just a walk to the French quarter, but still in a quiet enough area to get a good night’s sleep. I felt safe in the hotel as well. Lastly, the cafe at the hotel was nice. The coffee was decent and food was good for a quick breakfast. Would recommend to anyone wanting to stay in New Orleans.

Hello, I recently stayed at The Jung Hotel from October 9–14 and wanted to share feedback about my experience. The front desk team was absolutely wonderful helpful and kind but unfortunately, the room itself didn’t meet expectations, especially considering we paid extra for a nicer room with a kitchen. • The kitchen had no cleaning supplies, rags, or cooking utensils. • The coffee machine still had old coffee left from the previous guest and wasn’t cleaned. Only a single pack of decaf was stocked. • The floors were dirty, especially around the corners, and the wallpaper was peeling. • Even though the reservation listed three guests, there were only two sets of towels provided. • The room had a washer, dryer, and dishwasher, but no detergent or soap was supplied. • The A/C wasn’t cooling properly, and we had to call maintenance for assistance. • The pool was very cold, with missing tiles in some areas. • The Daily Grind coffee shop was closed on Sunday. While the staff were great, the overall experience didn’t match the quality we expected for the price.

Not a safe area at night. No amenities. The hotel has multiple bars and restaurants that ARE ALL SHUTDOWN in 2025. I asked why. The lady at the front said, “since Covid, they’ve never opened back up”. No access to the pool and the halls are very dirty. No room service was provided during a 4 night 5 day stay. The Gym is atrocious. The workout equipment is minimal as expected but TWO of the THREE only treadmills do not work. It’s very unsanitary and DARK. Stay else where. Get what you pay for here. Garbage…… the only positives are that the lobby and entry point to the hotel seem to be in overall good shape. But not kept up. And the pricing for the stay was relatively reasonable. Not a value for sure considering better places in the area for similar pricing.

Convenient location on Canal Street. The hotel is over 100 years old and is stylish, from the lobby to your room. The room size is immense, with 2 queen beds and a huge bathroom with a large walk-in shower. Had a safe and a mini fridge that was hidden in a tiny anwar, near the closet. 2 free bottles of water. There was no microwave in our room. I booked the room through Priceline and paid $130 total for Monday night. It was very clean in and around our room. I could hear a few of the ambulance sirens because you are close to a Hospital emergency room. The elevators were a bit tricky to use. I wasn't sure if I was supposed to use my room key card. The lobby staff were quick and very professional.

We were there during the week. The hotel is nice but a little worn. The rooms are spacious and clean. The shower is really nice. We had an external facing window. The location is near the Saenger and is very walkable to the French Quarter. It was a good value.

We stayed for 4 nights I think we had a Superior King room, which was pretty large and enough for us to open our 3 suitcases. We overlooked Canal st, so you could hear the occasional bit of traffic/sirens at night but it wasn’t too noisy.|Bathroom was clean and large with double vanity and big shower.|Location of hotel was good. You could walk to Bourbon st in about 15-20 mins or hop on the streetcar which was virtually outside the front door.|The hotel has a coffee shop which made sort of ok coffee and could buy pastries for early starts.|I used the gym once and it was reasonably set up although when there were 5 people all trying to use dumbbells, it got a little crowded but we all worked around it.|We used the laundry room a couple of times. For us on a long trip this was a great facility. $3.50/wash and $3/dry using tap credit card. Drink vending machines on every floor and snack vending machine in laundry room.|The staff were friendly and helpful.|We laid by the pool one afternoon, no one else there. They provide towels and it was a good couple of hours to soak in some sun.|We didn’t use the bar or restaurant.|Rooms are serviced every 2nd day, which is fine for us.|Now for the bad couple of points. The first was that you can’t put a plug in the sink to fill the basin and shave. I travel a bit and carry a universal plug, but even this would not fit as the sink drain has a mesh which is flush with the sink. This is only a minor thing, just had to keep the water running. The other thing that wasn’t so minor was that we had trouble getting hot water. It worked the first night, but not the second or the next morning. We complained and they did offer us to move rooms and send a maintenance person up. They checked it out and found no problem and it did work the next night, but not the following morning or night. They offered again for us to move rooms but we were unpacked and only had one more night so was too much hassle for us to move. I think that since it’s an old building and with a lot of rooms, the tank must empty when everyone uses it and it’s just a matter of timing, but 2 nights with cold showers did put a bit of a damper on things, which is why only 4 stars

Google
The staff, especially the night staff, FIVE STARS. i believe the woman i kept seeing was brandy but i am not sure. She was a lovely person. This was a 7 day stay, so i used door dash to bring me essentials to keep in my room, such as a case of water and other beverages. There is a small electric stove and mini fridge, but i ate every meal out. the in-house laundry was a nice touch as i was able to do all of my laundry before i left, and that allowed me to return home to unpack. please note, these are high efficient machines so please by the proper detergent from any walgreens or CVS, also within walking distance. i did not add photos because the photos on their site are 100% ACCURATE.

Yelp
This is my second time staying here, and I personally love it. The first time, our room didn't have the kitchenette. It was equipped with a fridge. The location is not too busy. We have been able to get in and out with our own vehicles or catching ride shares with no problem. My next trip to New Orleans, we will definitely stay here again. -The rooms are very spacious with spacious walk-in showers. -The rooms with the kitchenette have a two burner stove available with dishes, fridge, coffee maker, dishwasher, and full size washer and dryer. -Complimentary water and coffee. -Each room has a little doorbell. -valet service for a fee or you can use the lot behind the hotel for a fee. -Front desk and the gentlemen at the valet have always been helpful. -Close to French Quarters -Freeway is about two lights up. -Clean lobby. -Not a party hotel, which was a major plus for us. -Comfortable beds. -They do store luggage for you.

Yelp
Honestly not sure why the reviews for this place are so bad because my stay at the Jung Hotel was fantastic! FYI this is a bit of an outdated review as I had visited in early 2024 and am catching up on my reviews! I was staying at a lowkey creepy and haunted hotel in the French quarter for work and moved to the Jung Hotel for my person extension in NOLA and I could not have been happier. The building is absolutely beautiful with marble finishing everywhere. The room was large with a comfy bed, plenty of storage and counter space, a desk, and big bathroom with huge gorgeous light up mirrors. The view was awful but that's okay as I wasn't in the room too much during the day anyway. The clientele was interesting. I had booked with the actual hotel but it seemed like there were also residences as well as bookings through Airbnb type rental platforms. I had no issues and the hotel staff was not overly friendly but nice. The hotel did not have much in the actual building in terms of food and drink and the bar had limited hours but it was connected to a coffee shop which was nice for the mornings! Easy location for uber/lyft pick up drop off. They do have a pool but it was closed for the season. I had a great stay!

Yelp
I booked The Jung Hotel online for just $110 total (taxes included), and it was an absolute steal. The location is fantastic. It's within walking distance to just about everything New Orleans has to offer, from the French Quarter to local cafes and music spots. My room was oversized, with a spacious bathroom, and had the kind of layout that would make a perfect studio apartment--no surprise, since much of the building is residential rentals. Clean, comfortable, and conveniently located, The Jung offers great value without sacrificing style. I'd definitely stay here again.

Yelp
I booked this place through Sonder for my in-laws. I was blown away when we arrived. The lobby is very nice. There's even a bar. The apartment was huge. We stayed one night on an air mattress and we could've fit that thing in multiple locations. Unit even has washer/dryer and full kitchen. Only downside was no tv in the bedroom and a slippery tub bottom.

Yelp
Easy and friendly check-in. The entrance is understated but once you come in it's a beautiful lobby and multiple cozy cubbies which would be great for meetings or to have a drink from the bar. The bar is very nicely equipped with ample seating and very low key and comfortable. It doesn't open till 5 PM. The security is great with key access needed to get in the elevator and to select your floor. The elevators are well maintained. Our room was very clean, huge and well equipped and luxurious. It was The bed was clean and comfortable with four large pillows. We slept extremely well. In addition the TV was one of the bigger I have seen in a hotel (comparable to our suite in Vegas). I love the quiet, friendly, and beautiful environment. I will be back!

Yelp
We stayed here for a night while we visited New Orleans. It's about a 15 minute walk to the French Quarter. The lobby was beautiful and clean. The unit was huge with a full size kitchen and living area. Everything was very clean. The bed was comfortable and the bathroom had a huge tub and no issues with hot water. My only complaint is that the only parking available is Valet and it's $45 a night. In addition to that, the valet service was pretty unfriendly. They seem annoyed to be talked to at all or asked questions and they definitely don't help at all with luggage or anything. They were just on their phones the whole time and clearly didn't want to interact with people. That being said the actual hotel service people were friendly.

Yelp
The Jung Hotel is actually more roomier than I originally thought. They have both long-term and vacationers staying there. Quite a large building with multiple floors. The hotel was quite clean too. Our room had no carpet and was tiled instead. Looks quite contemporary as the room seemed well kept or recently remodeled. The bed, however, wasn't as hard because I felt concave to the middle each time I slept. The shower was large, too. Nicely tiled without a tub... thank God! However, their plumbing was horrible! No instant hot water, and it took a good ten minutes before I felt the warmth. The sinks are even worse. Forget it. Lol. Anyhow, it was a good experience, though, as cleanliness is my priority. Again, spacious rooms with a huge bathroom. Nice TV hung on the wall, and some nice furniture too. Service wise, everyone at the front desk was courteous. House cleaning people...? I'm not sure because they don't acknowledge you. I don't know what to say about that, but we requested room cleaning in the morning, and they never came. I hope it's only a miscommunication within. The hotel itself is nice, but the bar was never open. I don't even see alcohol stocked or displayed. The small weight room seems new too. It's probably because nobody really uses it. There is plenty of bottle water and towels to use inside, though. Overall, it was a good experience. Great place to go back to wash up and sleep. Nothing else was extravagant as it was quiet inside most of the time. There are plenty of meeting corners with a nice couch with matching seats and a coffee table. It's definitely not a five-star hotel. I won't even say four. I'd say 3-1/2. I was a bit disappointed with no maid service even after it was requested. So we had to go downstairs to the front desk to pick up more towels and soap.

Yelp
This is a review for the Sonder apartment/hotel my friend and I stayed at that's apart of The Jung Hotel. We stayed in the Superior One-Bedroom Apartment on the 8th floor. The apartment hotel had quiet noise level during nighttime and early morning hours for bedtime, super comfortable queen-sized bed, enough bath towels, hotel amenities for the most part (but the tissue boxes they provided were so cheap), and it's a major plus that Sonder apartment hotel/Jung Hotel is within a very close distance to the French Quarter and everything else there is to do and see in NOLA. Plus, they have a scenic view of Downtown NOLA from the rooftop floor which also has a pool. Minus 1 star because the regular fridge wasn't working and so we couldn't use it, also the mini fridge we had worked acceptably until we left water bottles in overnight and they froze; I just don't prefer drinking frozen water bottles lol and it takes so long to thaw too before you drink it.

Yelp
I enjoyed my stay at the Jung Hotel while in town for a conference. A couple of days before my stay, they informed me that the restaurant would be closed due to construction. I wish this information had been available prior to my booking through Hotels.com. My room was very nice and spacious, and it was ready for my early check-in as I had requested. This was great since I had a busy day and needed to get changed and everything. They also have a coffee shop and a bar in the hotel. The only complaint I have is that on the last evenings of my stay, Friday and Saturday, some other guests were loud in the hallway, and I could hear everything outside while trying to sleep. But since this is a hotel right off Canal, some noise is to be expected.

Yelp
This was the best place for my family to experience New Orleans. It's about a mile from everywhere. We walked to The French Market, Bourbon Street, and we're able to catch the street trolly just outside the hotel. The rooms were spacious and had what we needed, the loby was beautiful, and there's a Cafe on the bottom floor. It was too cold for us to use the pool, but it looked beautiful. We were also given super helpful tips from the receptionists. I would definitely go back!

Yelp
Dung-dung-dung-dung (pause, and a deep breath), dung-dung-dung-dung-duhunhuhunhung!!!!! Well, at least it didn't smell. I don't know where to begin with this property. I'm irked that I used my Chase rewards points for some cold floors and what looked like poop smear near the edge of my bed. Do you remember when your mom said "vacuum the living room or sweep the floors?"and your version of what she asked was to do it but not get the edges or move the furniture and get underneath to properly clean the area. Well, the little rag or mop used to clean this schmear did just that. I will not be back. Ever. Even after reincarnation. Oh, don't plan to sleep past 9:15. Impossible. House cleaning parades down the hallway like college RA's for your unplanned wake up call. Who in their right mind knocks on a door and yells "When are you checking out?". WTF. Just don't do it. There are other properties, albeit smaller, who will provide carpet and a working toilet (the proper place for dung) ‍ Now let me grab a couple of pros since I was conned outta my money. Pros: Huge room Washer and dryer Small/stocked kitchen Antonio in Valet is a sweetheart. Loved his energy! (The reason why I gave a 2-star)
google avatar

Yelp
Pros; the rooms are very spacious it makes you feel like a home away from home for sure. No televisions in the bedroom's, but the kitchen appliances and tables make up for it, new refrigerator, microwave, dishwasher plates stoves, forks spoons all clean and neat. The mini television in the living room is underwhelming at 32 inches or so with google chromecast can be convenient if you familiar with technology, and casting. If not enjoy looking at television screensavers and no local tv stations. Cons; I didn't like the complicated check in process. I kept getting an error that was saying my identification did not match the card on file and I had to verify maybe 5 or 6 times just to get on the elevator and room number. After contacting customer service and taking nearly 6 hours to get into the room, the door code does not work properly, had to wait another hour, for code to be reset. It took a lot of extra time, and customer service were asking questions like what brings you to New Orleans?, and what's your reason for your stay as some sort of entry guidelines question after I had already paid money for the room and accommodations it felt invasive, and highly annoyed. The elevator keypad is broken and cracked you half to jam the buttons there is a clear crack on it, the neighborhood is not ideal one adult male was bleeding from his head in the lobby around 10 PM one evening, and after shopping at Saks Fifth at the top of Canal street I felt uncomfortable walking past so many loiterers , may not be ideal if your looking to avoid Ubers and renting a car. Walking is fine in small groups however I didn't notice severity on premises only concierge.

Yelp
CHECKIN & BUILDING -- great Monique at reception was amazing-- so sweet & kind! The Lobby is an immediate "wow", immaculately designed for grandeur & glam. Very clean too. Unfortunately there's no late checkout; stern 12pm checkout time. ROOM [King] -- good https://youtu.be/Y_4Xx0RyOj4 Lots of style points for this modern-classic look. I like the flooring visuals + the fact there's no dirty carpet to deal with. High ceilings & strategic lighting tie it all together. It's a spacious, albeit quirky, box layout; for w/e reason there's a huge pillar in center of the room... Windows also don't open. There's still plenty to rave about, from the cleverly designed compact storage, to the amazing reclining chairs. A huge work desk is setup in the corner for dedicated tabletop space. It's not so strong on comfort & ergonomics unfortunately. Privacy light is used instead of a dirty, flimsy, paper DnD signs (although ours didn't work...). BATH -- ok Looks good but the devil is in the details: Huge vanity, bright & spacious. Good dimensions with warm & hefty towels. Walk-in shower was large & equipped with a decent hand shower. Its an underwhelming shower experience in the end due to slow heating water, weak water pressure, & dismal toiletries. It's not possible to use both the hand shower and overhead shower head simultaneously -- disappointing. AFAICT robe & slippers are no longer provided. FOOD & DRINK -- poor Not DoorDash friendly. No room service despite what Google says... The lobby bar still appears to be functional, but not competitive if in need of a real drink. Ice & vending on the floors. in-room: small mini fridge microwave free water coffee/tea TV & ENTERTAINMENT -- ok Huge wall mounted TV servicing basic cable. The port accessibility is rather poor with this installation. Outlet distribution also makes it inconvenient if you're hoping to hook up a gaming system or HDMI device. There are a lot of outlets & USB ports, just not where you may need them. BED -- ok Sleeping accommodations were "mixed". Too few pillows & 2 sizes too small; while lacking in quantity, quality was on point, curtesy of the New Orlean collection brand. Linens were mediocre + this composition lacked a duvet. The Posteurpedic mattress was a hit ! WI-FI & CELLULAR -- poor Cellular reception is stable & good for work. The WiFi infrastructure is decent, although heavily asymmetrical on throughput + huge packet loss. --Performance-- Video streaming - good Online gaming - good Video chatting - good --Nerd Stats-- 58-75 Mbps download 11-44 Mbps upload 1.00% packet loss 36 ms latency 70 ms jitter NOISE -- bad Too much white noise! The inability to turn off the vents/fans was a MAJOR irritant ‍. LOCATION -- great Felt very safe, cameras everywhere. Walkability is also high for all the tourists attractions. VERDICT Final Price: $131.67/night Was it worth it: yes Best part: reclining chairs Hospitality was strong, accommodations were unique, but they've really cut back on amenities. I wouldn't stay here again but would recommend it as a decent option. 4/5

Yelp
Subpar at best! I was in town celebrating a friend's birthday and the host chose this hotel for our group to stay. I usually stay at Marriott properties but for ease, I stayed here. I arrived a little before 1pm and check-in was at 4pm. Imagine my surprise when I was informed that I had to pay $25 to check in early. I asked if the fee was because no rooms were ready and I was inconveniencing the staff? I was told no and they have rooms ready. So again, why am I paying $25? However, I paid it because I was tired from traveling all morning. Headed to the elevator, I liked that you have to use your key to access them. This is a great safety measure. But the elevators themselves were raggedy (see images). I was really nervous that they wouldn't move by the way they stalled upon entering. Now on to the rooms, they were spacious and cleaning. I was particularly pleased with the lighting and ample seating however, like the elevator, a lot of the furniture was raggedy. The desk drawer which housed the safe did not stay closed. They attempted to duct tape it closed but I guess it finally gave out. The armoire door which housed the mini fridge also didn't stay closed. The door didn't have a bottom panel so the light from the hallway trickled in. As someone who needs complete darkness to sleep, this was a problem. The walls also have little insulation as I could hear everything happening in the hallway - footsteps, voices, etc. While the room was clean and it was affordable, I would never stay here again. I'll just pay more for adequate lodging.

Yelp
We booked this place for an extended long weekend in New Orleans for a football trip. The location is interesting. On one side you might think it's sketchy, on the other side you might think it's sketchy BUT it's a straight shot down Canal to all the major tourist spots. My friend had already checked us in as he arrived much earlier into NO than I did. However I think the hotel is a bit strange. I think the main lobby is shared by 2 hotels or a hotel and a residence, or at least it felt that way when the front lobby asked which residence we were staying in. Additionally the hotel has 2 sets of elevators that go to different floors. Rooms are large and clean. Our beds were really comfortable and there are a couple of bottles of water for the guests per day. Washrooms are nice and the TV is an OK size. It wasn't super loud during our stay and we were here for a Saints game so unsure if this is a party hotel for some of you. There's a coffee shop attached to the building. Location is cool, it's a hop, step and jump away from the stadium and a 10-15 minute walk down to the French Quarter and waterfront.

Yelp
Massive room for a great price. Parking is vallet only ($45 per day) so keep that in mind. They are right across from the trolly system, which admittedly, we didn't use, but looked very popular and convenient. Overall, staff was friendly and place was clean. They didn't have breakfast, but there was a little coffee bar/store on the first floor. There was a VERY tiny fridge in room. It really didn't fit much of anything. Pool on the 6th floor roof was small, but fun.

Yelp
Great property with wonderful handicapped room. Close to attractions and fantastic restaurants.

Yelp
Why is this place still on Yelp, I wouldn't call this a restaurant and barely a lounge. Occasionally the barfly comes in the evening and serves drinks And about once a week you can order wings and nachos from the guy "sitting at the end of the bar" and he will go back in the kitchen and make you some.

Yelp
BEWARE (WATCH OUT FOR THE HUSTLES) The building, rooms and hallways are pretty nice here - fairly inexpensive and close enough to Bourbon St and the Superdome (if that's your thing) - but the staff... easily the worst part of this place. Ask for towels - "come down and get em"... and don't expect standard hotel luggage courtesy, even though LUGGAGE ASSISTANCE AND BAGGAGE STORAGE is clearly listed as a complimentary amenity for the hotel, be prepared to pay for it... and mind you, it's not like they actually take your luggage - we walked our stuff into a room as the 'assistant' watched us do what should be his job, then promptly asked for $10 to be paid directly to him (via CashApp/Venmo)... not the hotel, although it's listed as a HOTEL AMENITY! (Imagine paying for going to the Pool or Exercise Room - classic hotel amenities...) When I addressed the 'management', they quite literally contradicted themselves in their explanation as to why it's listed on the website (Although the charge for valet is clearly outlined) and why I still had to pay for an amenity... at the end of the day, it's only $10 - not a huge deal, but these are the kinds of people running this place... kind of shame - this all comes down to principle and being a decent human being/running a legit business. Otherwise, it would've been a decent time in New Orleans. Be better Jung staff. It's pretty simple. (And update your website if your luggage assistance actually has a fee) The sad thing is... I likely would've tipped upwards of $10, but please believe - this is the first and last time I'll be staying here.

Yelp
Beautiful classy hotel with a great bar! Right across from the trolley that takes you to the casino!

Yelp
DO NOT BOOK WITH SONDER. A guest was injured on the property due to their faulty soap dispenser in the bathroom resulting in a ER visit and stitches and they can give a RATS A * S. There has been a lack of urgency and resolve. Along with the bathroom issue. There was also ants in the bed of one of the rooms eliminating the option to sleep. All they do is give you the run around, with no management or even maintenance to help you. This business is DISGUSTING! Along with the freezer being broken in 85 degree temperatures. There's no way in HELL I'd book with this company ever again and I highly suggest anyone considering it to THINK TWICE. They are greedy and only care about booking rooms not the care and comfortability of guest.

Yelp
The apartment was spacious, clean, fully stocked and very reasonably priced. The staff was amazing. Very quick to respond and fix any issues. The location is close to the French quarter and shopping but there were a lot of homeless people in the area. The TV didn't work well. It kept dropping the screen share. The pool was tiny and doesn't allow more two people to swim comfortably.

Yelp
Stayed here with friends who were attending a conference. The rooms were spacious, very clean, and the bathrooms has his and her sinks with a large toilet. The AC in the rooms is strong, but you can control your own temperature with the central air unit. About a 20 min walk from Bourbon Street and a 10 min Uber. Very friendly staff. Would definitely stay again!

Yelp
This place was GREAT! Our room was super clean, which I honestly think is one of the most important things, along with location. And the location was also convenient! Only a 15-20 minute walk to where most things are. Definitely recommend if you want to explore the city of New Orleans.

Yelp
Ok, I'm so glad I stayed here, even over the "historic" places. First reason: updated plumbing. Second of all, I wanted to experience that "newly renovated" feeling. I think we all want that new new feeling, lol. And this leads to the third reason why I chose this hotel: the historic district of NOLA got historic because it was the new new of its day. So, I got the 2019 experience of NOLA. And it was better than imagined. Room service is wonderful, staff are friendly and kind. Everything is waking distance or a quick ride away. There's a pool on the top deck, and they gave me a few drink vouchers for the bar inside. There are private elevators that only key holders, ie room renters, have access to. It's a safe place. I went alone and had no issue or felt unsafe in anyway. You're gonna love it. Enjoy!

Staying here was one of the highlights of my trip to New Orleans. I originally booked a stay at the Lamothe house hotel, an older hotel. An older, supposedly haunted hotel. Long story short the old stentch, dusty room, creaky floors, and overall antique vibe sent me packing in the middle of the night. That's when The Jung's amazingness came into my life. I called them around 2am and the woman was so accommodating and helpful. When I arrived she was just as friendly as she was on the phone. The hotel is beautiful and clean. The room was amazing!! I felt like I was the first guest ever in the room. SPOTLESS! The bathroom was beautiful. I loved doing my makeup and getting dressed with all the mirrors. You're getting exactly what you pay for. High end vibe for sure. I would recommend for solo travelers, families, couples, business travelers, everyone. You must stay here. The street car on canal is right there at the entrance. You can save on transportation by using the street cars. The location is also ideal if you want to be a little further away from the craziness on bourbon. Overall. Excellent experience. I'm going back for my birthday, and I cant wait to stay at the Jung.

Yelp
Pools closed. No housekeeping. Smokers always gather just outside the only entrance / exit doors. Inconsistent security. Guests smoking marijuana in their rooms with pot smell inundating the whole floor. Only two laundry machines for hundreds of rooms. No on-site parking. No help or advice in finding parking. This hotel is taking advantage of government workers and hurricane survivors that are staying here. While many hotels in New Orleans are operating with reduced services, this hotel has suspended all services. 15 day stay with no housekeeping.

Yelp
This is a nice hotel. Rooms are big, beds are comfortable. Staff is nice. My issues are, this hotel is at the end of Canal Street. As a woman, walking tio through French Quarter was not safe. I spent a ton on Ubers. I also had to go down to the desk and ask for more towels, toilet paper, shampoo and tissues. If you can find a hotel closer with a good price, chose somewhere else.

Yelp
This hotel is so dirty. There's a pile up of dust on the trim of the nightstand, there was hair and dirt on the toilet, stains on the wall, and the hall floors are dirty too. The water doesn't get hot at all. It looks like it was nice at some point, but they drop the ball BIG TIME in the house keeping department. I'm so glad I only booked 1 night and will be leaving in a few hours. I hate ithere and will NEVER stay here again.

Yelp
Terrible customer service. Staff was very cold and unpleasant to deal with. When we addressed this with the supervisor she was also rude and dismissive. Don't waste your time.

Yelp
I absolutely loved EVERYTHING about my stay at The Jung Hotel. I had the pleasure of staying here on a Wednesday night during Essence Fest 2019. After my original accommodations fell through, I was blessed with a nights stay at this hotel. Upon walking through the entrance, the love affair began. When you walk in, you will find the hotel restaurant to your right and a beautiful piano area to your left. Continue walking towards the check- in desk and you will find the bar to you left, just prior to the check- in stand. Check- in process was a breeze. To start the stay off right, I was given two coupons for complimentary drinks at the bar! After confirming the location of the gym I proceeded to my room located on the second floor- room 233 to be exact. The elevators to the guest rooms are located slightly beyond the check-in desk. To access the elevators you do have to use your room card- so never leave your room without it. When I walked off the elevator onto the second floor I thought- fresh, clean, modern...... what is NOT to love!!!?? My room was located at the end of the hallway. Walking towards my room I checked out the beautiful abstract artwork on the walls. Walking up to my room I felt as though I was coming home to my condo in the city! To enhance the at home feeling, they have doorbells on each guest room. The door bell also serves as a notification for do not disturb, that can be adjusted from he inside of your room. I had a single King bed room. However, this room was HUGE!! There is a bathroom to your left when you enter this room. The bathroom features double vanity with a shower that is to die for! I promise you I took like 3 showers in less than 24 hours and each one lasted at least 20 min! The shower has a body sprayer that feels soooo good!! Do note that the shower does NOT have a door. There is a glass on half of the shower but the remainder of the shower is open. Other features of the room include a fridge,a manual coffee maker, a safe (nicely located), a nice size flat screen, a desk area, and for me- a view of canal street. One thing I must give credit to this hotel for is the number of outlets and USB outlets available. There is a USB port on all lamps and outlets are everywhere! You I'll have no worries about having a place to charge each of your electric gadgets. Now for the amenities! The fitness center was decent. There are a number of cardio machines and a separate areas for weight training. The free weights go up to 70 pounds. There is also a cable machine pulley. They have a few half ball dome balance trainers, a few weighted balls and exercise balls of various sizes. I was able to get a fairly decent weight training workout in utilizing this gym. This center is located on the 2nd floor. They offer laundry facilities! I thought this was a great benefit. They have a washer and dryer and free detergent in the laundry facility. I did not get to utilize this amenity. It is also located on the second floor. The pool is located on the 6th floor. It requires a little less effort to find the pool by returning to the first floor, passing the check-in area, making a left down a hall- then a right. You will find an elevator across from The Daily Grind Coffee C0. Scan your room card to access the elevator to the 6th floor. The pool area offers infused water, and free towels. There is plenty of seating available in the area. I did layout for about 45 minutes prior to another guest brining a speaker and blasting hip hop music. I was trying to relax, so this ruined my vibe and I left. I did have one complimentary drink from the bar. It was a hose wine. It was not impressive. Do note that the voucher for a fee drink is only for house wine, beer and the daily special. If you want a cocktail of choice the voucher is good for $7.00 off your purchase. The service at this hotel was phenomenal. I constantly encountered smiling faces, Bubbly and pleasant personalities. Any requests that I had where responded to promptly, to include a request for a late check-out. Last, but not least, I find the location to be ideal. This hotel is about 4 blocks from Bourbon street. For me, it's a nice walk. NO is known for good eats, and I always indulge. As such, any extra physical activity I can get I welcome. This accommodation is a no brainer-- free drinks, rooftop pool, comfy digs, on site restaurant, perfect location-- book it already!

Yelp
Don't make the mistake of trying to take the stairs you'll be locked out like I was. Check in and out of the hotel was smooth w no issues. Hotel was clean, GREAT lightening and amazing location; near train car and buses.

Yelp
Wow Very neat and clean Mattresses are not excellent but it is still good compared to some other hotels We are here for the early part of Mardi Gras Close enough to the quarter yet far enough away for peace and quiet We brought back a bottle of very nice red wine but we didn't have a wine bottle opener So I went down to the bar and asked the bartender if she would open it for us She did and there was no charge Very nice customer service and much appreciated

Yelp
Not kid friendly, pool starts at 4.5ft. And had to physically get into shower with my toddler because they had no bath. Floors are all tile and VERY slippery! No free parking valet costs $45 extra a night which isn't awful but the hotel doesn't advertise it. This hotel is not walking distance to anything. Bar closed so early so could not get anything not even a soda. Good luck finding a luggage cart they're Mia! Two kids and no luggage cart just doesn't work. We also had to go to desk for towels as they left us two for both nights. The beds are comfy however with my husband being disabled it was difficult to get into/out as they're very low to ground. Stay elsewhere if you have kids.

Yelp
Our first time to NOLA and we stayed the Jung Hotel. It was conveniently located a few blocks from Bourbon Street with the Trolley just steps from the front entrance. Our room was large and the bathroom layout was awesome. It was a tad noisy at night due to modified cars driving past the hotel but it was far enough away from the hustle and bustle of Bourbon Street to avoid a majority of the partying noise. Check-in and check-out was easy! They even helped us get a cab to the airport which arrived in 2 minutes flat while others were waiting on their Ubers. They cleaned our room every day, even though they said at check-in that they would not be cleaning the room daily. We enjoyed our stay here and would stay here again.

Yelp
If I could give negative stars, I would. Do not stay here. The employees and everyone else are involved in stealing from customers. During my stay, my door was mysteriously left open despite me closing it. While I was out, someone entered my room and stole all my belongings, including my car keys. Thankfully, I flew, because the thief tried to steal my car by checking if it was in the parking garage. When I reported this to the front desk, they were annoyed and unhelpful. An employee scanned the key fob outside my door and claimed they received an alert that the door was left open. When I asked to see the camera footage, the employee disappeared for 30 minutes and then said the cameras were not working, which I find hard to believe given the multiple cameras pointed at my room. They refused to check the cameras on other floors, even though my spare key card was also stolen. They said they called the manager and that I could call them in the morning. The only option left was to file a police report. My party and I left that night because we no longer felt safe, suspecting an employee was involved. Despite numerous calls and messages to the manager to get a refund for the canceled days, my calls were ignored. Only stay here if you want your belongings stolen by an employee. It was clearly an employee because the cards were only used at night after shifts. None of the employees care about you or your belongings.

Yelp
Horrible service at the front desk. Not willing to help with anything from parking to booking.

Yelp
No staff. If you call the front desk phone rings at least 20 to 30 times before someone answers, if they ever do. Water on bathroom is 1 temp. Can't make it colder or hotter. Asked front desk to call us a taxi. Said they did. We waited outside. Waited and waited. They never called. Put drinks in fridge. Some froze solid. Some were piss warm. The laws of physics cease to exist here. I didn't pick this hotel, I came for a reunion. I WOULD NEVER STAY AGAIN

Yelp
" A Little Pricey " I went to visit with a friend of mine when I was on a Mississippi River cruise who was staying at the new Jung Hotel in New Orleans. The new Jung Hotel was very pretty and clean. We had breakfast at the restaurant and in was a little pricey for what you received. I had the DESIRE STREETCAR OMELET which was a Three Egg Flat Omelet with Choice of Diced Bell Pepper, Diced Onion, Diced Tomato, Sliced Mushroom, Baby Spinach and Diced Ham with Link Sausage or Bacon and Toast for $14.00 . My friend had the ROYAL EGGS BENEDICT which had Two Poached Eggs Over English Muffin with Hollandaise, with Crawfish Tail or Lump Crabmeat with Roasted Potatoes or Grits which costs $17.00. Both dishes tasted pretty good but they were a little pricey !

Yelp
Fleas in the room!! Management shows no concern when notified. Promised to follow up and did not. Want to pay full price for a flea infestation? This is the place for you.

Yelp
*I did not stay at this hotel!* I prepaid for this hotel because I was coming down to celebrate a friend's birthday. My friend picked Jung as the hotel to stay because of the rooftop pool and bar. I (about a month out) immediately booked the hotel with prepay. Two weeks later, my friend stated that we will have to go to another hotel because Jung Hotel's roof and pool is closed during our dates. That day I called to cancel. The reservationist said he would cancel the reservation. He stated that I will still get fully charged although the pool and bar is closed. He suggested that I call the hotel directly. I was unable to reach the hotel directly, the phone system continually transferred me back to the reservation line. The next reservationist directed me to send an email requesting to void the contract. (Email below) ______________ This hotel prides themselves with their pool and roof top bar... it is the first picture on the website. There is still no mention of the the pool / bar rooftop closure. The contract should be cancelled as that is the only reason this hotel was picked by our group! ______________ A week later, I received a confirmation of my scheduled stay. I locked my credit card because I did not receive a email response from the company. Another week later, a full payment was attempted and declined. I will try visit the hotel when I get to New Orleans to hopefully resolve this matter. ______________ Email sent: Good evening, I have a friend who invited me to celebrate her birthday and to attend a splash hang out at the Jung. Coming from Chicago, I immediately made reservations with the Jung hotel for July 22, 2021 through July 26, 2021. I purchased a prepay non-refundable stay. However, I was just informed that she and the rest of her party are going to another hotel because JUNG's pool is unavailable. So, it saddens me to let you know that I must cancel. Hopefully I can visit Jung in the near future when you are up and running. Please cancel my contract, as I am forced to go to another hotel. Reservation # 597358700 _______________ My complaint is simply that they have poor communication and customer service!

Yelp
Came here to New Orleans for 2 weeks and stayed at the Sonder Jung. It is actually an apartment. It was a 1 bedroom king apartment with everything you need to stay very comfortable. We were on the 17th floor in room 1705 a corner apartment so we had extremely cool views in 2 different directions. On one side you could see the Charity Hospital which was closed down from Katrina and never reopened and the other direction was just a beautiful view of the city. Rooms have everything you need like full size refrigerator, full size washer and dryer, iron and board, nice size flat HDTV and many other appliances. The check-in was very easy and the valet staff were exceptional and very accommodating. My next trip to New Orleans and will most definitely be staying at the Sonder Jung... Thank you for a wonderful 2 weeks..

Yelp
We stayed at the Sonder which was a pleasant experience. The highlight at The Jung was definitely the best waitress I've ever had by the name of Reba. She took amazing care of us from the moment we arrived. The experience would not have been the same without her. Reba definitely deserves a huge raise.

Yelp
Yes, this hotel just opened. Yes, it has its quirks to work out. But it has great potential and for my family of four, it was great. We can't wait to go back. We just hope the rates are still reasonable then. I highly recommend it. On our first night, Darrin the bellman helped us with our luggage. He got a kick out of our staycation when he asked where we were from. He told us everything about our room. I hope he got our tip that we left for him since he went home early that night. Like other reviews, the Superior queen rooms are very big. Just what my family needed. It was similar to a wheelchair accessible room, nice and wide and roomy. Our room had three windows just to give you an idea how big the room was. It was nicely appointed, although the fridge could've been larger. The bathroom was huge too. We also liked the elevators, which were fast. The pool area has plenty of seating, seating for days. The pool bar is very nice. It's only opened on the weekend, right now, but that was fine for us. We don't drink anyway. The pool had neon lighting, which was cool. We ate breakfast in the restaurant the last day and it was delicious. The All American breakfast was included in our rate. It's the same as the Claiborne breakfast on the menu. It consisted of eggs your way, bacon or sausage, grits or hash browns/potatoes, and toast. We also ordered a stack of pancakes to share. Everything was delicious and presented so beautifully. You really do eat with your eyes first. The pancakes had a sprinkling of powdered sugar and whipped cream. They were so light and fluffy. Our scrambled eggs were so tender and well seasoned. The bacon was a bit hard though, but you got three slices. My wife chose the potatoes and they were tasty too. Our host and server Gierra was awesome. She was very professional, attentive, knowledgeable and sweet. She gave us complimentary fruit smoothies, which could've been colder. They were a little lukewarm. My grits were lukewarm and Gierra stuck it in the microwave for me. I told her we were taking the complimentary jams and syrups we hadn't used and she was like of course. She even offered us flavors that weren't on the table. So, what didn't we like. While I appreciate valet parking, I prefer parking my own car...for free. There's no self-parking on site. They forgot to stock washcloths the second day and when I requested more that night, it took more than two hours to get them. There's no room service after a certain time. I don't remember the time though. Our rate included a discount coupon book for the Riverwalk, but I had to remind them about it the following day. Also, the furniture colors are a little odd in my opinion. The hotel is very empty. Hopefully things will turn around for it.

Yelp
I think this is the location we stayed at. We didn't interact too much with the staff so I can't say too much about that. The rooms are huge and nice, and the hotel is both close enough to the locations we wanted to go to and far enough that the riffraff isn't hanging around. It's a nice retreat after acting a fool on Bourbon Street all day and it's time to relax. :) I'd definitely stay here again. The only thing I didn't like is that the rooms don't have carpet but the bathroom and huge room made up for that.

Yelp
This hotel was nice, spacious and convenient. Although of course my guy friend and I got trapped in the elevator and had to call for help. No one never came for help after we called. How we finally got out, is someone on another floor was trying to get on, once they pushed the button from the floor they were on the elevator began going down. We thank the lady for saving us. Also when you try to reach the roof top some of those doors leading up from the 17th floor will lock behind you when your trying to find your way up there. The room was nice and all but the toilet seat in the bathroom needs to be replaced, was yellow tinted and worn out. Further the wifi connection is week and keeps buffering once you get on, It is a nice hotel but they need to work on some things.

Yelp
Ok so boom. This was our first time in NOLA. My husband and I stayed here only because a cousin of mine who heard good things about this place recommended it. The hotel was clean. It had a nice ambiance. There was a bar in the lobby, however it was closed every time we came and went. There was a rooftop lounge or something according to the concierge but we never made it up there to check it out. So there's that... The staff was friendly, informative, gave good directions and restaurant recommendations. Our room was nothing to rave about. I hated the fact that it overlooked another building which completely blocked the sun and the city. That irked me so bad. Other then that, it was clean, quaint and had the bare necessities. If you're a "I just need a place to sleep" type of person then you'd love the room. However, I wanted a little more. As I mentioned earlier this was our first time in NOLA so we wanted to stay somewhere that wasn't too far from the action of Bourbon Street. This was about a good 10/15 minute walk. Which isn't too long, I suppose but we did have to walk pass some sketchy looking places. Wouldn't walk alone! However, there was a street car stop literally right across the street from the hotel. Next time I'd stay somewhere a bit closer to Bourbon St. though. I gave it a three because we didn't get to explore much of the hotel but what I did see I was satisfied with. And it was quite affordable.

Yelp
An elegant eatery in the AAA Four Diamond Jung Hotel and Residences, if you're looking for a place to meet for a breakfast meeting, or just a nice calm centering place before slogging out into Las VEGAS' great gramma, New Orleans, this is your place! The elegant dining room is well served by well made breakfasts, excellent coffee, and attentive service. It gets a little stressed on busy days, because they're understaffed. The bar is comfortable and has great bartender. That should be plural. The ones on duty do their best, but sometimes they're outnumbered 30:1. Good management could improve those odds. Even with that, it's a nice place to grab a drink. Just be patient.
