A Review of The Junto in Columbus, Ohio | Hotels Above Par - Boutique Hotels & Travel

"Located in the new Peninsula development within the Franklinton Arts District, this four-star hotel serves as a social-minded gateway to Columbus with 198 rooms ranging from standard accommodations and downtown lofts to bunk rooms and an expansive apartment. Public spaces center on a lobby-forward concept inspired by Benjamin Franklin’s civic club, where a communal Trade Room provides coworking by day and a buzzy bar by night and hosts evening “Trade Room Talks” with local cultural voices. Design leans mid-century and industrial with bright corridors and tranquil, blue-hued guest rooms; on-site amenities include multiple dining outlets, outdoor fireplaces, sun terraces and gardens, a fitness center, pet-friendly rooms, and a signature gear-lending program that supplies bikes, kayaks, GoPros and picnic kits for adventurous guests. Rates start around $197/night and the property positions visitors conveniently between downtown and galleries, breweries, and parks."

Absolutely lovely stay at The Junto! From the moment you walk in til you leave, you’ll enjoy it! It’s all the small things and beautifully elegant rooms that will make you love your stay. The lobby is a blend of hotel lobby, coffee shop, cocktail bar and a little library with a central fire pit. It’s so warm and just makes you want to relax with a good book. The room was quite comfortable, very clean. The gear garage was such a fun concept. I borrowed a bike and helmet and went for a ride on the scioto river and around downtown, beautiful, especially around sunset. The staff were lovely, kind and very helpful.

Stayed in the hotel Friday to Monday for niece’s wedding. Hotel is gorgeous snd clean in the heart of a great area in Columbus. Staff was friendly and accommodating from the first encounter and continued throughout visit. When I say staff, I mean from the lowest to highest paid members of the team. Room was made up revery day with fresh towels and coffee, clean cups etc. which seems to be rare most places since COVID. Minor issue with room was corrected on the spot when I bumped into mx man on elevator. Lobby and rooftop fire places were warm and welcoming. Loved the well-used, study table in the lobby.

I stayed here from September 18th through September 21st for Lost Lands 2025. I had originally messed up when I purchased the rooms for the Hotel. I made a reservation from the 19th through the 21st, then realized a month or so later that I needed to be there on the 18th to make it for the show on the 19th. I made another reservation, so had two different rooms for this trip. I had missed my flight from Chicago to Columbus the day of the 18th, but called the Hotel to let them know I'd be arriving after Midnight and would be there after hours. I arrived around 1:00 a.m., exhausted out of my mind after all the headache's of the flight mischedule, and found a Gentleman, Anthony, at the front desk, knowing full well my situation and had me in my Hotel room shortly after. I knew they had Checkout at Noon, and Check-in for another Hotel room wasn't till 4:00 p.m., so I had expected to Checkout and explore Columbus after the horrible night before, but when I go to checkout at 11:55 a.m. Friday Morning, Anthony was at the desk, and without even bothering to ask, he already had me checked in to my other Hotel room! This Hotel is located across from the Center of Science and Industry (COSI) museum, which I never did go into, but looked amazing. They also offer a Rooftop Bar, which I also never got to experience. I do smoke cigarettes, so simply went outside and walked around the blocks. The area is absolutely beautiful and being renovated still currently, (Do not look at Google Street View, it does not show how this area looks currently). I would highly recommend this Hotel for any reason. If you are attending Lost Lands, just be warned, it's about a mile walk to, and from, the Shuttle Buses, but the Hotel is worth every penny. Thank you once again to Anthony for being the amazing person he is, and helping me through my trip.

I had an amazing experience at Junto Hotel Columbus, thanks to bartender Mia! She was incredibly friendly, attentive, and made the best cocktails. Her great energy really made my night. Highly recommend visiting and asking for her – she’s top-notch!

We stayed at the Junto with friends for a few days. Wonderful boutique hotel, rated 4 stars, should be 5. Anthony and the staff were so attentive and friendly. Fantastic lounge area with books scattered around on shelves and tables. Extremely comfortable! Bar and restaurant were great!

We did a staycation here for my birthday and the Junto staff made it so special! The front desk person (I wish I had asked his name) was amazing, he sent up a special little birthday treat for me to my room, and Carolyn in the Little West Tavern is awesome.

Had the pleasure of staying at The Junto, with my significant other. We stayed in the Terrace Suite. It was such a beautiful space, and the terrace was absolutely exquisite. I have to point out a couple of MVPS from my visit. There were 2 valet drivers that we had the pleasure of encountering, that certainly deserve special recognition for their exemplary customer service. This is a critical point of the experience, at The Junto, as these are the first people you come in contact with, when arriving at the hotel. Both Emilio, and Kiernan, were incredibly friendly and welcoming. Any time we needed their help, they went above and beyond.

SUPER cool boutique hotel with a great vibe! We swung in midway on our road trip from NC to Chicago and we're so glad we did! The furnishings are beautiful and the various spaces are inviting. We loved the multiple bar options and the gear closet. Our room was inviting, spacious, ultra comfortable, and squeaky clean. The staff is great and the location is across the street from the history museum and a gorgeous park. We would definitely stay here again.
