My husband and I stayed here for two nights just after Christmas and we loved it! I never write reviews but this place deserves it! The atmosphere was perfect and quaint! The fireplace in the courtyard was great for late night convos with a glass of wine! We stayed in the sewing room! We had a ton of space, the bed was super comfy and the clawfoot tub was the cherry on top! If you’re debating where to stay on your trip to Boerne the Kendall is definitely where you need to go!

We’ve stayed at the Kendall Inn several times over the years, and it’s always been one of our favorite spots — a beautiful historic hotel in a brilliant location right on Main Plaza, just a short walk to Main Street. Unfortunately, our most recent stay was disappointing. We were first placed in a room above a noisy generator (apparently being repaired), and the floors in both the bedroom and bathroom were noticeably dirty — walking barefoot after a shower left our feet grimy. On top of that, the room was filled with a very strong air freshener. While it smelled pleasant, it felt like they might have been overcompensating with chemicals to cover other odors. To their credit, the receptionist was very courteous and promptly switched our room when we brought up the issues. Still, the overall experience wasn’t what it used to be. We later learned that the hotel underwent a change in management in 2024, which might explain the difference we experienced. We really hope they can bring back the charm and quality that made this place so special.

Second time staying here over the last month and rooms are so beautiful and unique.. staff is the best and the location is perfect and so convenient to all the cute shops . Only negative is the TV’s they are a bit of a pain to connect to WIFI but I was able to use my hotspot. Found my home away from home when I’m traveling for work !

We enjoyed our stay at the Kendall. However, and similar to other reviews we read, we found the friendly staff and great location overcame some of the problems we had with our room. We stayed in the Hill Country suites and just like another reviewer commented there was a distinct vibration coming from what we think might be HVAC or kitchen equipment below the rooms. My sister-in-law stayed in Hill Country 1 and the floor was definitely vibrating. We stayed in Hill Country 2 and while the vibrations were less pronounced the noise was ever present. Additionally - the WiFi is simply terrible. TV did not work (Internet TV and looked to be wireless). We had to go outside to the courtyard to get a decent signal. This needs improvement. Beds were comfy enough but the bed in Hill Country 1 is a little janky. Now - as for the rest of our stay. Wonderful courtyard and fantastic bar. Great bar keeps too. Super (and I mean super) friendly staff. Receptionist on duty when we arrived on Dec 23 was great. Couldn’t be happier with the staff. Location top notch. Ambience overall is fantastic. Overall I would recommend the Kendall but just be aware this is a 150+ year old facility, and to some extent is in need of some renovation and updating but still worth a visit and we will gladly come back.

Watch out, they double charge, i booked on line, and when we got their, they said they did not recieve $, so I paid with debit card , and when I get home, look up and my BOA Card was charger and my debit was charged. I called and they said that's my problem for me to call my bank! I'll finish review after this is taken care of! BE AWARE OF THEIR CHARGES)!!!!! LARRY DAVID

We have been to Boerne many times and decided to stay at The Kendall this time. We had a terrible stay. I asked weeks in advance to check in at 2 instead of 4. They wanted to charge me $50 for earler check-in. No thanks. Turns out that we were among the very few customers. When we arrived at 430 our room showed up as not ready. The clerk went to check and it was actually ready. The room was hot with the thermastat set to 75. I tried numerous times but could never get it to hold at 70. The door had a huge gap all around. Our last morning there, our unit had no water. Thank goodness we brought some bottled water. Overall a poor experience and we wont be staying there again.

I requested to have an early check in due to my early departure from my home and they stated that it shouldn’t be a problem. Several people in the group I was traveling with got there room several hours early and didn’t request a an early check in. My room was still not ready at the 4pm check in time I will never stay at this place again no matter how friendly and clean it is and not even one apology from the hotel staff for not meeting my needs or the check in time.

We loved our stay at “The Kendall” staff was very attentive and professional. Rooms were large and clean! The bed was wonderful. Location was perfect to the Main Street shops and restaurants.

I stayed at The Kendall Hotel with a few friends and had such a beautiful and memorable experience. We booked the St John's Suite and it was absolutely perfect. The room was spacious, beautifully decorated, and had so much character. It felt cozy and luxurious at the same time, with just the right mix of historic charm and modern comfort. One of the highlights of our stay was having a game night in the suite. There was plenty of space for all of us to spread out and relax, and the atmosphere made it feel extra special. Everything was clean and thoughtfully arranged, and we felt so at home the entire time. The location is ideal. The property is right in the heart of Boerne, connected to a great restaurant and walking distance from cute shops and other local spots. The grounds are well maintained and every corner of the hotel has its own charm. You can really feel the history of the building, but it has been updated beautifully. What truly made the stay unforgettable was the front desk staff. Every single person we interacted with was kind, helpful, and genuinely welcoming. They went above and beyond to make us feel comfortable and taken care of. You can tell they take pride in the property and really care about their guests. I would absolutely stay here again and recommend it to anyone looking for a charming and relaxing getaway in the Hill Country. It exceeded all of my expectations.

What a gem! Had no idea what to expect when I booked a night here as we were meeting friends for dinner at Peggy's in green and didn't want to drive back to Kerrville after partaking in wine. To say I was pleasantly surprised is understatement! The rooms are huge and decorated perfectly. Bathroom is perfect with tub and shower and just love how they kept charm with history of this hotel.

Actually enjoyed our stay here, but the luxury accommodation bit just wasn't quite there. The hotel and grounds are very nice looking, and main street and major shops are within easy walking distance. There is parking around out front, facing the square, and some other spaces back behind. We were lucky enough to get a space out front. We opted for this hotel from reading other online reviews, and it was a nice, quiet, attractive hotel. One very positive thing, they called letting us know our room was ready early, and we could check in early. The actual stay was just OK, though. The room we stayed in (The Sewing Room), had been redecorated from the online photos. It was a bit disappointing to have a room that didn't match what we thought we were getting. Various things keep me from rating the room higher - strange black debris on the pillows (I'm guessing blew out of the A/C unit over the bed), overhead fan didn't work at all, and when using the bathtub, the handle came off in my wifes hand! Told the front desk about the fan, not much help there. I was looking at the bed (not the one in the room pics online), and the rail was pulled loose where it was just snapped together. TV's cable had been left unplugged, had to play detective to get the TV to work. PRO's: Very nice property, very picturesque, in a very convenient location. Friendly staff on check in. CON's: Little details listed above did not add up to anything but an "OK" stay. Had higher hopes, since we were paying a bit more than the usual chain property.

Quaint accommodations. Very nice staff. Only reason for three stars is the fact that they started leaf blowing at 6:30am the next morning. So much for sleeping in on vacation.

Charming little getaway! Love this space! Very accommodating, cost and comfortable! We happened to drive by and we are out of town. Only a couple of rooms available and we chose The Belle room. It's so quaint and cozy. We had a wonderful stay! If we are in town again we will definitely stay again! What a treasure!

This is a super cute boutique hotel in the heart of Boerne. Each space was decorated so beautifully for Christmas. I also love that you can have your own little stand alone building behind the main building. This would be a great place for an event and the restaurant that is attached is spacious.

Loved this quaint little spot where we stayed for a Girls Trip. The rooms were spotless and decorated with a farmhouse/country chic vibe. Everyone was super nice and it was right next door to Peggy's on the Green! Definitely recommend that you check it out!

I am a big fan of Bohannan's restaurant in San Antonio. One of the best dining experiences I have had. For some time, I have been wanting to try another restaurant of his...Peggy's On The Green (to be reviewed separately). I decided to reserve Peggy's for my birthday and since it was located next door to the Kendall Inn, I made a reservation there for two nights. The entire stay was excellent. The staff are very cordial and helpful. Our check-in was nice. Nicole, the manager, helped us to check-in to the Waco cabin and gave us a quick tour and offered us a bottle of wine or champagne for my birthday. Nice touch! The Waco cabin left nothing to be desired. Maybe the smallest cabin on property, but it was very comfortable. We really enjoyed morning coffee on the front porch of the cabin. The porch is well shaded and secluded from the surrounding businesses. The entire grounds were well cared for and appealing. Most of our contact was with Mary, the lead desk attendant. She was a real pleasure and was always cheerful and helpful. Always a pleasant greeting. I will also add that the housekeeping were very pleasant and always had something to say. The Kendall Inn is walking distance for all the shops, restaurants, and watering holes in "downtown" area of Boerne. I don't recall seeing any other lodging or B&B in the downtown area. There is a really nice paved trail starting at the Kendall and going to many shops and restaurants in town. Another thing to note is Dienger's Trading Post. We had lunch at the restaurant there and it was very good. The service was excellent. Dienger's is an easy walk from the Kendall. It would also be an excellent place for breakfast. In closing, we loved the Kendall and all its staff and will definitely stay there when we return to Boerne.

Very friendly and helpful staff. Lovely grounds and great location. The entryway/living-room/lobby was beautifully decorated for the winter holidays. We stayed in the Texas room, which is like the second floor or attic of the schoolhouse. It was comfortable and warm even though the weather outside was cold.

I booked this on a whim, we were going to be passing through on a motorcycle so planning was on the fly. I absolutely can't say enough about how awesome this property is! The check in, flawless. Asking for things prior to arrival, done and ready when we arrived. With this being a smaller town, some restaurants are closed but they have a list of restaurants for all times of the day that are open and most are within walking distance. the property itself is quaint and very unique. it was quiet and safe, slept well. Rooms cool and beds were great. Shower was amazing, water was hot. Don't second guess this place. Very neat and original, and on a sidenote, this would be a great place to stay for a wedding as it's all enclosed and has its own unique rooms and cabins.

A must hotel to stay in when in the Boerne area!! The wife and I were attending a a friends wedding nearby and they had blocked off a couple rooms here at the Kendall. This beautiful hotel was built in 1859 and has a lot of history. We stayed in the main building in the Victoria room which was a gorgeous room on the second floor in the front of the hotel just above the receptionist desk. There are several outlying buildings that double as rooms like old cabins, an old Church, an old school house and a general store. The room was very comfortable and elegant, the marble bathroom with its accents brought the feel of luxury. The Kendall hotel has definitely done it right with this hotel in keeping it maintained with that old charm. What a wonderful stay we had! At first we were in a Garden Court room but we could hear the folks in the next room over so luckily the Texas Room was available so we were able to switch rooms. Jayden was super nice and helpful! Thank you Jayden! Everyone at the Kendall was super friendly and helpful so we would definitely stay again because of their super friendly service.

My wife and I just stayed at the Kendall in the Erastus Reed Grand Suite and the entire experience was perfection. It's nearly impossible to describe how warm and cozy the bedroom and adjacent bathroom were! Thoughtfully furnished, with just the right decorative touches, there's nothing odd or out of place. It's absolute value all the way around. The bed and pillows were incredibly comfortable, and the temp in the room was consistent. Water pressure and temp were great, and we LOVED how the ceiling lights were all on dimmers! That's super rare and so great to be able to dial-in the right mood for the moment. Our one criticism? The shower door needs a seal around the edges because a great deal of water leaked onto the floor, but spare towels were on-hand to soak up the excess. Hey, it's a minor thing. The entire complex itself is also amazing. Main floor was, like the room, perfectly appointed with sofas, chairs, and tables. Bravo, Kendall. Can't wait to come back.

This amazing well preserved but yet renovated Hotel earned my upmost appreciation. Walking distance to the Strip and jogging trails. The Restaurant on the First flirt was fantastic!

TIPS: *If you want to eat at the adjacent restaurant (Peggy's on the Green), make reservations in advance (especially on a weekend). We got lucky and managed to score a reservation by calling a couple hours before they opened. There are other promising restaurants in town but Peggy's was a great complement to the hotel stay. *Parking: we arrived in the mid-afternoon and were able to find parking right outside the hotel. There are some spots available on the street. If you arrive after 5pm, those spots will fill up with restaurant visitors. Apparently, the hotel does offer other parking options. This was their e-mail to me: "We do have a lot for parking: 209 Lohman Street for guest parking and you may come up the back ramp to the Courtyard/Main Lobby. Or you're more than welcome to arrive at 128 W. Blanco and park under our port cochere in the front of the Main Lobby; we can guide you to parking from there." *There are some historic background signs on the property (in front of the restaurant, by the start of the hiking trail). I'd recommend checking those out if you want some history of the hotel. Also, don't forget to explore the lobby -- it's lovely. The hotel delivers on its promise to provide an elegant yet historic experience. Obviously, their rooms vary. There are fancier rooms and less fancy ones. We stayed in the Col. Henry C. King Suite (middle-of-the-road fancy) and it was lovely. It definitely has a "rustic luxury charm." That being said, they did provide some modern amenities like a Keurig machine and a refrigerator. There is a television in the room (it's hidden inside a cabinet so as not to disrupt the rustic vibe). I also loved that they had a little vanity table by the sink. It was perfect for getting ready. Finally, the bed was very comfortable and I got a great night's sleep. There were chairs on the balcony outside to sit and drink coffee in the morning. It was charming and comfortable yet I have one gripe -- the shower. The water pressure was ridiculous and I couldn't figure out a way to adjust it. I was basically writhing and yelping in pain (no exaggeration). It physically hurt and I couldn't enjoy my shower. Not a cheap experience. The price does vary depending on your visit date but we ended up spending $300 plus on a Saturday night booking. Normally, I wouldn't spend that much on one night but it was a special occasion. You can book directly with the hotel or book via hotels dot com (and collect rewards). The location is perfect. If you park your car, you don't really need to move it. You're within walking distance of everything you may need -- food, coffee, shopping. The service was terrific -- the woman at the front desk was extremely welcoming, attentive, and helpful. I definitely recommend the Kendall for a romantic getaway.

All in all an absolutely charming place right off Main Street. I stayed in the George Kendall room and it was sufficient for my one night stay. The only issue was that I think there was a nest of birds settled in above the ceiling in my room. They were rambunctious and chatty all night. Will definitely return for a future stay with my hubby.

This is such an adorable inn with old world charm and updated furnishings plus modern amenities. I especially loved the service - it was so warm and welcoming, helpful and kind. Special shout-out to Payton (I hope I got the spelling right) for exceptional service! The courtyard was adorable but the day we were there was too chilly to utilize it. The rooms are simple, clean and comfortable. The location is great too - walking distance to nearby restaurants and shops! The walls are thin and we had neighbors who spent the night either chatting or watching tv. So I didn't get a good night's sleep and woke up a bit grumpy. If you're a light sleeper too, I wanted to share this note.

Quaint place... really looked forward to our stay in this beautiful place.. They have the most comfortable beds, ever. Day 1: We were surprised they didn't cleanup after us.... we aren't messy but thought they'd do the beds. At least they brought coffee pods. Day 2: Once again, beds are undone. No coffee. This time, trash is full and debris that flew out of the window unit needed to be vacuumed/cleaned up. Let's see what happens these next 2 days. Update: day 3. Came back and room was as we left it. No coffee, shampoo, etc. debris from unit is still on window sill and floors... went downstairs to ask and was told there is a sign we were to p,ace at door. We didn't know that. So be aware... if you want your room cleaned and toiletries replenished, etc... place the sign at the door. But overall... staff is courteous. Just not happy about not knowing of service sign needing to be placed at door. First time ever hearing of such a thing.

The Customer Service is amazing. They are very attentive. They even offered to drop us off when they saw we were on our way to a nearby breakfast spot. The Hotel is beautiful and it's nice and QUIET. We stayed in the suite and it was truly a positive experience.

I stayed here in late March, 2019. The property has a number of different types of buildings and rooms. I stayed near the pool in what looked like a newer building. The room was small but well appointed, bath rooms were clean and modern, mattresses were of high quality, linens were nice. On site management was pleasant and helpful. There are back gates to the property that help with access, luggage, bike transporting. The location is across from the green square and close to the shops of Main Street. We also ate dinner at the adjacent restaurant and the food choices and quality was good. There is a nice bar in the restaurant. If I was in Boerne, I would re-visit this property. I probably wouldn't go to Boerne just for this property but would return if I was in the area.

ADORABLE BOUTIQUE HOTEL We stayed in room 4 for one night and will absolutely stay again. This historic hotel is beautifully renovated. Although the decor has been brought current they didn't loose the old western charm. Old stores have been turned into suites and gazebos into ice machine stations. They didn't miss a detail when it came to decor. In our room the tile was custom, the wallpaper embossed and the bedding was luxurious. Our specific room fit my personal style with a modern beach theme. As for amenities we had all that we needed for one night. Fiji water and coffee is complimentary and the free WiFi was easy access. Our room was in front of a large hot tub and they have both indoor and outdoor common areas that would be perfect to sip wine or read a good book. If you're traveling with a pet they do have some rooms that are pet friendly. The hotel is located right off Main St which is a great walk of restaurants, coffee shops, breweries, wine bars and gift shops. NOTE: this small town shuts down most things on Mondays so plan accordingly to maximize your experience.

This is a charming hotel. Each of the areas is themed like a small town. The rooms themselves are very nice, clean, and easy to move around in. The bathroom was nice though we did have an issue with the heating system. I think it was Vanessa(?) that helped us get it sorted out. There was also a strange alarm that went off during the early hours of the morning but the woman at the desk helped us with that as well. It's a cute place and conveniently located with Peggy's right next door. I'd come back.

Notice: did not stay here, just walked through and talked to the staff. The hotel history is very interesting. Family ate at the adjoining restaurant, Peggys, for brunch, and we were able to see some of the suites, as well as the church (honeymoon suite) and cabins. The hotel looked fantastic and we're recommending family stay here this summer.

We stayed here with some friends New Year's Eve. It's a yearly tradition that one of us plan a getaway on New Year's and this place was selected by our friend. What a mistake. First off they had our reservation wrong, they had us in cabins. Once we got that straightened out we checked into Hill Country 1 and 2. The rooms were neat and clean, but that's about as good as it gets from that point on. We noticed that the beds WERE NOT king sized beds as stated on the website. They were full sized, talk about misrepresentation. We thought we could make it work, it was for only one night. After a long night out on the town and back at our rooms our friends went to take a shower and they had NO hot water, so they had to use our shower. Then we all tried to go to bed, what a joke. Luckily none of us are very tall or very big, but we did not fit on these tiny beds. It was ridiculous. We mulled over one of us sleeping on the floor, but once again we thought we could make the bed situation work. Wrong, it was one of the longest nights of our lives. Other than the beds being tiny and no hot water, you hear the main AC/Heat kicking on for a part of the building with a loud thud every so often. We don't think we will ever find the need to stay here again, especially at $242.00 for the night. The two star rating is for the cleanliness of the rooms and courtyard. If you're in Boerne stay at the new Hampton Inn and Suites and get a Suite with a king bed at two thirds the price. You will be way better off and definitely get a better nights sleep and have hot water.

This was by far the worst stay I've ever had. My husband and I decided we would each take a weekend in June to ourselves while the other one stayed home with our daughter. I called The Kendall and explained to the gentleman on the phone what the occasion was and asked if their hotel was a good fit. He said absolutely and suggested the cottage with the big front porch with porch swing. Sounded amazing so I booked it! $500 plus tax for two nights. I arrived at 3:30 Friday afternoon with check in at 4:00. I stood in the lobby for a few minutes all alone saying hello until I decided to search for someone to help me. I found someone who then found someone else who had been cleaning the rugs out front as I had walked in. Did he know he was the only one there to check in and decided to leave me there? Was someone else supposed to be checking everyone in? By the time he finished checking me in there was a line of people behind me. Once I got to my room I felt better. Nice and cold, clean and the porch was just what I was hoping for. My plan was to spend the weekend on the porch swing with a book and a glass of wine. As I unpacked music began and that's when I realized my porch faced the park and there was an event going on. It happened to be movie in the park. This even went on until around 11pm. I did sit on the porch but it just wasn't quite the peaceful evening I had hoped for. At some point I headed in and searched for a place to plug my phone in. The outlets are sparse and in the wrong places. I did find one behind the small couch along with a thick layer of dust. Just gross. The bed itself was very comfy which was great because I planned to sleep in late. But.....that was not going to happen because around 8am they started setting up a car show at the park. Every car filing in had a loud engine and had to be revved up for the other guys watching. It was so loud I couldn't even think. No cup of coffee on the porch for me. This event went on until after 3pm. At this point I was so frustrated. The poor girl I found to talk to was so sorry but couldn't do much. She offered 20% off and said she would talk to her manager when she got in. The hotel is 100% booked and the manager isn't even there? She wasn't there on Sunday when I checked out either. Can you even call yourself a manager if you aren't there on your busiest days? So as the car show ended I decided to sit on the porch and try to enjoy it while I could. After I settled in the sprinklers turned on and started spraying me. At 4:00 in the afternoon! So back inside I went and as if someone said "it can't get worse" an employee walking into my room. No knock, no "house keeping" just walked straight in. I jumped up and she said "do you need towels?." Well actually I do now that I'm wet from your sprinklers but that's besides the point. I mentioned the sprinklers and she said "they will go off eventually." Ok.... So after all that I was convinced I should be able to get at least half of my money back. When I went to check out Sunday the same girl from the day before was there. She felt terrible but her manager said 20% was the most they would offer. I guess that's better than nothing but in my opinion it wasn't enough. I was made aware that the manager had been involved in setting up the car show so maybe that's why she didn't feel bad. I would have loved to speak with her personally so I could explain everything but she wasn't there. With everything that happened I can confidently say I will never stay there again. I do think it's a nice property for people who are looking for a place to party. A girls weekend or something like that. A romantic getaway it is not. With no manager on site and untrained staff I would still be wary about spending your money here. Maybe my luck was just terrible. Others seem to have loved this place. I think it has more to do with the location than the hotel though. Spend your money elsewhere if you can.

Had the pleasure of staying at the Kendall for a wedding and this place is awesome. Check in was seamless and the staff was very friendly and nice . The rooms are very spacious and cool. We stayed in the school house and it did not disappoint. The Kendall is a great place to have an event or if you wanted a getaway for a weekend.

My husband surprised me for our anniversary and booked one of the cabins. Bad decision. I understand it's meant to look historic however for the price you pay it is definitely not worth the money. The room was dusty/musty. The furniture was very much in need of a cleaning. WiFi wasnt working , and the small monitor TV was broken . The screen was half on and very poor quality. The bathroom towel rail was broken. The shower/ bathroom is a must in doing updates. I wasn't comfortable even using the shower. I was expecting an elegant yet historical experience. Also The shower head seemed it would have fallen off if I touched it. Maybe the rooms in the hotel are better. Very disappointed:(

Besides being aesthetically beautiful, the staff is wonderfully accommodating. The minute I walked in, I was greeted by a friendly face. I signed in and the young lady at the front desk helped me carry my bags to my room. When I walked in my room, I was overwhelmed by how beautifully antique and rustic it was. They really tried to maintain its original aesthetic beauty, from the antique wardrobe to the carvings on the wall panel molding. You actually get a metal key to these rooms. If you decide to tour the Inn, you'll be pleasantly surprised with all the vintage decor to the wooden cabins. They also have a Chapel where guests can get married if they plan ahead. They provide you with your personal Keurig with both caffinated and decaffeinated coffee pods with cream and sugar. They also provide 2 complimentary waters. They don't provide a fridge or microwave because the owners want guests to venture out and enjoy the cities restaurants and shops, which are a walking distance from the Inn. They also have a trail guests may want to walk through during their stay. I absolutely loved it and can't wait to return.

This was our company's Christmas luncheon. The venue is the Kendall Inn's ballroom for private events, which is in the back of the inn. Kind of secluded, which is cool for a private event. Very spacious room with tables for 8-10 folks each. Plenty of room. A bar was setup for us. The bar was probably part of the service provided by the food caterer Cartwheel catering, out of Kerrville. Our GM had used them for his daughters wedding. They were pretty good, but that should probably be a separate review. The venue was very nice.

If I could give it 0 stars I would. Worst decision was to stay here. We stayed for two nights and just couldn't do it anymore we ended up just getting a hotel.. Needs updates bad. Cool little cottage but was not clean and things were broke and just over all not good experience... doesn't offer microwave or fridge so we couldn't bring back our left overs from restaurant. Pull out bed was broke. I did inform management they stated "We know it's on the list for remodel" very disappointing... High speed internet was a joke...

Staff greets you like a celebrity from the moment you arrive! Derek and the front staff were very friendly and attentive. Rooms are charming, clean and comfortable. The only inconvenience was the open ceiling bathroom. Kind of takes any illusion of privacy away, if that sort of thing is important to you. The Inn is attached to Peggy's on the Green restaurant that is absolutely fabulous! Just an added bonus. Can definitely see a return visit in our future.

I was very disheartened to find more than a few things poorly managed by this facility. The major problem of them all was the hot tub on site. There was a light with a wire connected to an outside plug on the bottom of the tub. My toe hit the corner of it, and it made an electrical pop noise and shut off the light. Of course we got out and notified the staff on duty. She asked me to "let her know if anyone else came to the hot tub so she can walk down and tell them not to swim in it because their maintenance guy has been off for a few days..." I recommend that they close down the area and lock it up to avoid potential law suits if someone was to get shocked. Not to mention that I cleaned the hot tub out myself to rid the top of many leaves and bugs before trying to enjoy the amenity. Also, the outside lights were nonexistent or didn't seem to work. The area was completely dark. The next major issue was the outside gates where broken to the point of not being able to latch. We were told upon checking in to use a gate code and to "please shut it all the way for security." When I told one of the ladies who worked on site that it was broken she said " It's been broken for a while, but thanks." The inside room seemed charming and the bed was super comfortable, however the AC kept going out and it became hot very quickly. When taking a shower, the water spewed out from the side of the pipe and soaked the floor. The room was expensive for one night, so I have to say that I'm disappointed in the quality that it was in.

We came across this little place while looking for a hotel, the price seemed too good to be true at only $68. We arrived and was warmly welcomed by the woman working the front desk. She showed us to our room and pictures don't do it justice, we stayed in the old "sewing room." Extremely clean, bottles of water and your own Keurig included in the stay, and plenty of toiletries. Customer service was better than any hotel we have ever stayed in, we will definitely be back if ever in the area.

A classy alternative to traditional hotels, nestled in the heart of downtown Boerne. The quaint cottages are filled with character of days gone by, yet modernized for the comforts of today. Loved sitting by the fireplace in the courtyard and strolling through the streets of Boerne all decorated for the holidays! Will definitely back!!!

After looking at a few Yelp reviews we decided to stay here for the night. Here are reasons it was the best place we have ever stayed: 1. Austin at the front desk was the most congenial, helpful, and attentive person I have ever met. He gave us a tour and even showed us one of the haunted rooms! I have never met a kinder more welcoming person! 2. You can pay for a chain hotel or you can pay to stay in an eclectic piece of Texas hill country history. About the same price; the choice is yours. For us it was worth every penny! 3. We stayed on a Monday night, so the price was right. So glad we stayed here instead of a chain hotel!

Steadily going down hill. Over the past 5 years we have stayed here over Father's Day or the 4th of July weekends. Every year the quality of service, buildings and upkeep have continued to deminish. Although the history of the site is worthy, the price to quality is not. You would be better to stay at the La Quinta

What an amazing experience! From the time we drive up, to be greeted immediately at the door, to checking out, I've never had a better experience at any luxury hotel. Every need is considered. From the courtesy robes, to recommendations for dinner the staff is all about you having a relaxing stay at this historic inn. The manager, Ashley, personally greets as many guest as possible. She was so sweet and personable. Great manager, great staff, great people! Will stay again Thanks everyone for such a lovely weekend

I found this place through Google Hotels and got a really good deal on a room for the girlfriend's birthday. My review is a bit different as I did not come here for a particular event, but I found the Inn very relaxing. The room is small and really does have that old feel to it. I kinda wish it did not have a TV but I guess you have to have some current amenities. We stayed in the Rose room. It comes with a Queen Size bed and claw foot bathtub in the room that my girlfriend loved. I would make sure you really love the person you are sharing the room with because the toilet and tub are in the same room and the toilet is only separated by a divider (other rooms have the bathroom in a separate room). The bed was one of the more comfortable beds I have slept in away from home. There is a porch that runs the full length of the front and back of the building which are covered with rocking chairs and tables. This is a really nice place to relax, we ended up making cocktails and sitting out here for a couple of hours. The property is quite large with numerous cabin style suites and a huge back patio area for dinners, complete with a fire pit. Running along side the property is the Cibolo trail for hiking, we did not go down there but it looked nice from what I could tell if that is your thing. The desk employees are super friendly and accommodating, all in all I would not hesitate to come back here again. Side Notes. Everything (and I do mean EVERYTHING) in Boerne closes at 9 pm. Also the walls here are a bit thin so keep that in mind if you are going to make any noise.

My first instinct was to give this inn four stars, because from the first time I arrived, I fell in love with it. But, I dialed it down a bit for a few reasons: (a) I've an avowed lover of B&Bs, but despite that fact, I always get a little giddy when I first arrive. I must learn to reserve judgment until after I've stayed the night. (b) I was here for work, so I really only saw four areas of the inn: the conference room, the courtyard, the dining room and my bedroom... five if you'd like to count the bathroom near the conference room. (c) I only stayed one night -- very literally, a total of 24 hours. I can't give 4 stars based on such limited exposure. That all being said, from what I saw of Ye Kendall Inn, I'm a big fan. The place takes up a good amount of real estate in the heart of Boerne, and I actually don't believe I fully grasped how large the property was until I was on my way home. Many of the rooms face out to the town square where -wouldn't you know it? - a local market day had convened. I'll refrain from gushing about small town Texas life. My room faced out to a sprawling courtyard in which someone was having a wedding reception. After having returned from a work dinner, it was a bit odd to walk through the remnants of someone's wedding reception, but that's the only way I could get to my room. I'm not sure what was to blame: the red wine with dinner, the late hour, the long hours I'd worked, my crap sense of direction or the actual way the hotel is situated. On the up side, though, it was very late and the wedding party was, at this point, just the bride, groom, a couple of attendants and some unruly, over-caffeinated kids. The room itself was the Schoenfeld suite - it was fantastically huge, with a ginormous four poster bed and antique couch in the sitting area. There was an old copper doorknob and guess what? A real key! There was also a sprawling fireplace in the room, which made me wish my stay hadn't been in the dead of summer, and a solo trip at that. It was very, how you say? Romantical. Even with the abundance of doilies and florals. The bed was so tall I nearly required a step stool, and lying amidst the abundance of pillow felt obscenely luxurious. The bathroom had a great claw foot tub and a modern toilet retrofit with a wall-mounted tank with a pull handle. No kidding. How flipping awesome is that? I, unfortunately, can't speak too much to the breakfast, which is generally my favorite part of the B&B experience. I had to rise entirely too early (stupid work) and had to blaze through breakfast. I'll also mention I'd had a fight with my then-boyfriend over the phone and was nursing a minor hangover. Breakfast the next morning was a function of need, not an exploratory experience. All in all, I'm down with returning should I drop by Boerne again.

I came here for a wedding and I ended up getting so much more from everyone I met in Boerne. The Kendall is a well established place with many rooms and unique buildings. The setting is lovely, but honestly, the best were the people at The Kendall (and Peggy's, the restaurant). Josh settled us into our room and was eager to help with anything needed. Our internet wasn't working and he assisted with that. Today, I asked if they had laundry facilities and Alex took care of us on that end. We reported a poor drainage situation with our shower and Alex immediately took care of that. Friendly Mary at the front desk, pitched right in wanting to know if she could do anything for us or if we needed anything. Last but as they say, "definitely, not least," kudos go to housekeeping. It was bloody hot for the 4 days we were here in Boerne and we always had water supplied (without a fee) and our room taken care of.

We stayed in the Lancaster 1 cabin and it was perfect. Claire was so helpful when we arrived and went above and beyond to make sure we had everything we needed, even meeting us at the room to let us in personally. The room was beautiful, with a very comfortable bed and pillows. There is a separate small room with a twin bed that was just right for our teenager. The shower was really big and the the bathroom had an extra small mirror attached to the wall- a really nice touch. The grounds are well kept and just lovely. The personal touch all around- can't say enough good things about our stay!

We stopped in to check out the venue for a up coming wedding. I was not disappointed staff was prompt & delightful to deal with.

A place you must stay!!! Rooms are amazing with so much character! The grounds are quaint and beautiful with a quiet peaceful setting. Beautiful art work in the main lobby and the Inn is surrounded by a very nice park along with great shops and restaurant!! The ladies in the front are beyond nice and accommodating and do what ever is needed to make sure your stay is perfect! Beds are very comfortable and the rooms are super clean! We thoroughly enjoyed our two night stay and cannot wait to return again so we can explore more of the hill country! We had our children with us and they treated them so kindly! Thank you for a wonderful stay!

Cute place. Not sure it was worth the price. Couldn't get WiFi unless I went to the main courtyard. No information offered at check in such as gate codes, ice machine location, WiFi password. Had to track down employees every time I needed this info. The best part is the location.

I surprised my wife with a 2-day Valentine's Day get-away and booked the Erastus Reed Grand Suite. The suite includes a large bedroom with vintage furnishings and cool, unique accessories. Large windows provide great views of the park and lot's of natural light. The bathroom is absolutely huge with large shower, clawfoot tub, fireplace, vanity and cosmetic desk. Well appointed with towels and high end shower/tub soaps, shampoo and conditioner. The service was equally impressive. Knowing my wife and I have trouble navigating stairs, Alex helped us up the stairs with our luggage after checking us in. He then moved his truck so we could park right out front. He didn't stop there - we requested a refrigerator and he searched the hotel and brought one up to us within an hour. During the stay he asked how we were, if everything was up to expectation and provided pleasant conversation. Upon departure, Mary helped us with the luggage and provided a heartfelt good-bye and thank you. The Kendall will provide you with the southern hospitality and accommodations you desire.

Ye Kendall Inn is a charming and romantic hotel. The grounds are quiet and the balconies are a charming place to sit and look out on the peaceful green across the street. I loved my room which is one of the original rooms and it was beautiful and charming to stay in. The front desk staff is personable and always ready to help. The art decorating the lobby and upstairs landing is beautiful and you can take any home and the price was right for me to chose a picture of a horse which was sent to my home. I throughly enjoyed my 2 night stay and will definitely return when I go back to visit with my friends who live there.

We only stayed for one short night, but the inn is beautiful! We stayed the night of our wedding in the St. John's church and I fell in love with it. The only reason I am not giving 5 stars is because of the hassle and unprofessionalism of the check in process. Since we were getting married that day, we wanted to check in early to avoid the process after the fact. We were given the keys earlier in the day, but were still told we could not actually check in until after 3 (which didn't really make sense to me). With our wedding being at 5...this was an issue, but what could we do? So we opted to just check in after the wedding. After our arrival at the inn at around 1130pm my husband and I waited for about 20 minutes in the lobby waiting for someone to come to the front desk to check us in, but no one came despite the "we will be right back" sign on the counter. After being completely exhausted and STILL in my wedding dress, my husband went to the bar to ask the bartender if there was anyone who could check us in. Turns out the front desk attendant was at the bar the whole time drinking! She was wasted and swaying and slurring and giggling throughout the whole check in process!!! I was not happy nor impressed by the whole situation. I'm sure she was having an off day, but having had worked in the hotel business before as a concierge, this behaviour was totally unprofessional and appalling. I hope her manager reads this and addresses the issue. I would not want my beautiful inn to be spoiled by the face of sloppy drunkenness.
