This spot is an excellent choice for a leisurely afternoon tea in the picturesque Kensington Park. The affordability of the menu pleasantly surprised us, and the scenic view was absolutely breathtaking. We highly recommend this place, particularly when the weather is lovely. It's a delightful oasis for enjoying a relaxing tea time amidst nature's beauty. I did taste better mini sandwiches and scones, but it was a nice experience since its the only afternoon I experienced that was outdoor.

What an absolutely amazing experience. The afternoon tea special was under special, the lady finger sandwiches, the deserts were very tasty. Highly recommend visiting it especially to enjoy it as part of your London trip.

We went to the Palace and found we couldn’t get a ticket in as all booked out so decided to have a bite here to tide us over for the day. The setting is lovely and we expected the prices to be high, which they were. For the money though, we did expect better. I ordered French toast with berries and yoghurt and my partner had avocado and salmon on toast. We both had the royal tea which was lovely. My partner enjoyed hers but unfortunately my expectations were not met. The service was very poor. The waiters were not very present and they deliberately avoid any eye contact so they won’t have to come and serve you. I noticed that a few of the tables around us were not happy about service as everyone wanted to place an order but we almost had to scream for attention. I noticed in another section of the dining area which was a big hall which I expect may have been set up for bus tours or similar but was almost empty and they had a lot of staff just hanging around being bored. Most if not all the staff seemed very junior and disinterested so I would say they lack an appropriate level of training and motivation. Even the maître de seemed young and was obviously not giving enough direction to the team. All in all I would say service was a fail, the food was just ok without living up to the location and the most enjoyable part was the tea. Do yourself a favour and pay the same price for better food and service elsewhere.

Our tea time at Kensington was enjoyable with a patio view of Princess Diana's Garden and the palace behind us. We chose to have the afternoon tea option for lunch. The 3 tier food that came with the vanilla chai that my wife and I both chose was filling and light at the same time. The finger sandwiches were delicious, the scones were a little dry but still tasty with the clotted cream and strawberry preserve that came along to spread on the scones. To finish it off the desserts were my favorite being the coffee/peanut butter chocolate pastries being the best in my opinion. The weather was great making my first time at this cafe fun and tasty

Don’t do it, you’ll be sorry. We went here after our visit to the Palace and deeply regret it. The service was friendly and attentive, but the food is awful. We had the Afternoon Tea for 2 here, and not a good experience. Two out of four sandwiches lacked the most basic ingredient in savory dishes: SALT, so they were flavorless (like eating paper). The scones lacked the texture of a true scone… they were more like little cakes rather than scones… The top tier desserts were just super sweet (if you closed your eyes and took a bite, you would not be able to tell the difference from one another. Just horrible!! And all of this for a little over $50 per person (38.00 BP + service charge aka mandatory tip of about 12%). Based on the quality of the food, this would be expensive at 10 pounds a person… Stay away!!! Tourist Trap!!!!!!

My parents and I had afternoon tea here (£38 pp) when we went to visit London. We go every year to the Noble tea house (High River - Alberta, Canada) so we wanted to experience it in London. It was good. The sandwiches were good, though a little on the dry side. The scones were my favorite, they were really good with the cream and jam. The desserts were good - the white cake was a tad too sweet for our liking though. It doesn't look like a lot of food but you feel full before you even move to the desserts. The different tea selections were also decent - you get to pick one and then a free refill (which could be a different tea). We tried the Palace Breakfast, the Earl Grey, green tea, vanilla chai and Relax ones. I think the Earl grey was the best. The ambiance is nice and quiet - we were initially on the patio but asked to move inside as it was starting to rain and they accommodated it no issues. It wasn't very busy when we went there but we still made reservations just in case. The service was really good. Food arrived fast and the servers were friendly and attentive. In our opinion the food at the Noble Tea House in High River was better (tastier) though. Overall it was nice, and I'm glad we got to experience afternoon tea at a palace. How many people can say that? :)

This was a fantastic afternoon tea. The service was outstanding from our waiter Chris. His service was prompt and attention to detail was perfect. The tea itself was delicious. The portioning was just right. We had 4 different sandwiches, two scones and three different pieces of patisserie. The prices are very reasonable too. We would definitely visit again.

We loved our experience at the Kensington Pavilion! We ordered high tea and loved the food (especially the perfectly fluffy scones with jam and clotted cream), the teas, and the lovely atmosphere of the palace gardens. The staff, especially our server, Masso, was very friendly and helpful and even brought us new flavors of tea to try on the house. I would totally recommend this place!
