We booked a King room. Were told @ check in, that all they had was a 2 x double bed room... disappointing when you specifically book something... only perk was that it was an end unit... the balcony view was of their docks, which worked great for us since our fishing charter guy picked us up & dropped us off right there... 😅 Rooms were clean. Shower water was decently hot... shitty water pressure tho. Location was decent. Close to Walmart, about a 5 min drive to town center. Dunno if I would stay here again... feel like there were better options for same price...

Location is great away from the waves of tourists. Front desk service was nice and very helpful! No complaints! The room service was not so good. They only emptied trash and swapped out towels. Except for 1 day Beds weren’t made nor were the sheets changed. No vacuuming either. What you will hear all day starting early morning are planes taking off frequently, if you’re there in the summer the rooms get hot very quick so you have to sleep with the windows open. Also, unfortunately their kitchen was closed due to no chef and they didn’t want to replace them with the summer season almost over. Was looking forward to the convenience of eating there, especially because most places close so early in Ketchikan .

Great experience over all. I loved waking up to the view out our sliding door the our small balcony. We were able to watch the cruise ships come and go. Overall a very pleasant stay.

From beginning to end the service at The Ketch was awesome! My husband and I are local small business owners here in Ketchikan and were in need of a hotel stay at the last minute. The staff was amazingly prompt with their response to our inquiry, and they were able to accommodate us with a beautiful and clean room. We will definitely recommend The Ketch to our clients.

My husband and I have been in Ketchikan for a week and after staying at Clover Pass, which is absolutely amazing, we wanted to be closer to town to do some touristy things. I booked the Ketch Inn over 6 months ago, and what a DISAPPOINTMENT. It was advertised to have a restaurant and bar, and with us not having a car we thought it would have everything we need on site, boy were we wrong. The restaurant closed days before us arriving. We ended up spending over $60 for pizza to be delivered. The staff also was very rude when approached about letting customers know prior to a stay that amenities had changed. In addition, we were disappointed with the room which has no available ice, refrigerator, etc. there are much better places to stay in Ketchikan…. Save your money and go elsewhere.

Hailey, the manager, checked in before we got to Ketchikan so that she could arrange transportation to the Inn and made sure that we got to do what we wanted when we were in town. LJ, the shuttle driver, shared tips about getting the most out of our visit and was very pleasant. The room was comfortable and the area, beautiful.

The staff at the lodge were fantastic. Alex and Haley in the restaurant went above, and beyond service was outstanding. The food was great. The rooms were a little small but very clean and comfortable. Fishing was great for salmon didn’t go too well for halibut but Brent did a great job putting us on salmon. He was very patient and went the extra mile for the first timers in our group. Looking forward to fishing with him again. Overall experience was excellent

Positive: Location to the ocean and town. Negative: We were there during a hot spell, we opened the sliding door for cool air, it smelled so badly of sewage we had to shut the door and roast.

Yelp
The location was good if you want peace and quiet after a long day strolling through downtown. I think I would've preferred somewhere closer to downtown though. As the taxi rides into downtown can average $25 each way. There is a shuttle available or at least they try to make it available for you where just pay gratuities. That did not always work out. However, if you can schedule ahead. I'm pretty sure you won't need to use the taxi. There is also a bus stop right in the parking lot so if you have the extra time and can be a little flexible, the location should not be an issue. Had a couple bumps in the road initially : the heat did not work in our room, and we had to move in the middle of the night our first night. However, Manny was absolutely amazing and he helped out. We hardly noticed the inconvenience once we got settled into our new room. We had an amazing view on the second floor. I think it's just the little things that prevented a higher rating. The lack of TP we had to request. The TV not working the first night, the shampoo should have been replaced in the room. The blow dryer was missing in our initial room so we had to request that as well. I think if housekeeping had just done a check in the room before they rented that out for guest all of these minor bumps could have been prevented. The staff was friendly, though and knowledgeable, They will also be able to provide an affordable option for fishing at Salmon Falls. They provided the shuttle back-and-forth as well. I would still recommend this place if you're looking for an affordable option to stay in Ketchikan. No pizzazz, but definitely worth a consideration.

Yelp
This place is not as it seems, A 18$ hamburger is available in the restaurant & very little else. Trees & weeds growing in gutters, your feet get black on dirty carpets. These rooms are cramped & furniture tops & even head boards are painted with old latex paint probably left over from when the walls were painted several years ago. The landing hotel is your best bet or anywhere else really for the price.

Yelp
I had a terrible experience here. I wasn't really sure what to expect since the the recent change in ownership. I hadn't stayed here since it was the "Narrows" and I have to say I am not impressed. The price was ridiculous and disproportionate to the amenities. The service was subpar at best. First of all we had to track down the office personnel in the restaurant; she barely spoke English. Stopped mid conversation, ran outside, came back and told me that it was going to be another half hour just to see if there was a room available. We waited the half hour, just to have her tell us the price was actually $350. Not the $199 we were originally quoted. Over all the size of the room and customer service is not worth 350. I felt like that didn't want to rent to me because I am a local.

Yelp
Cannot believe how incredibly bad the customer service was at this hotel and restaurant. Super disappointed in how poorly we were treated, lack of staff, misinformation from website combined with Google info, as well as staff's verbal statements allowed for an extreme variance and left a lot up to imagination and interpretation. When we pulled up into the hotel at 7:15 am the lots were empty. No one to attend the phones in the reception area to cover reservations so we were forced to drive completely out of the way assuming it was just slammed which did not allow for the employees to man the phones. When we arrived at the lobby it was locked. Soon after a driver met us to info of the lobby being closed until 8am. He was the diamond in the rough. We waited the half hour for the employees to attend the stations in the lobby to accommodate new guests well as those checking out. Well thinking we were in the clear and no more hurdles to overcome we began the booking process. Now stumble. Although seemingly kind she was extremely difficult to understand. Our rate was quoted originally at $199.00 now showing up it changed to $350.00. I've been fairly treated being a native Alaskan but I felt we were being discriminated because of the color of our skin. Not knowing the potential customers but I would hope that they would be a lot more understanding or maybe to the target audience a sliding rate scale for rooms is common practice. Now the inability for the staff at the reception counter to communicate effectively was the final straw. I felt as if she put on a fake Russian accent just to make the booking process that more difficult. But no after we were booked the receptionist informed us we were to wait one more half hour to find out of the room was even turned over. It's 2023 this should be common practice to have the room info in the computer for streamlined efficiency. At this point an hour has passed and we decided to find accommodations that were readily available for us to check into and rates were the same across the board as it should be. Don't fall for the trap.

Yelp
This is a complicated review , The Ketch was recently bought by Salmon Falls. The boats, our Captain Chris, his effort and fishing results were top notch. However, the guy at the check in counter in the morning was a total ass. Completely rude and totally unhelpful. The rain gear ( a necessity) , was in a smelly wet mismatched pile on the floor of a restroom. Kandice emailed me asking for my rain gear sizes, and then dropped the ball. I got a miss matched to small pair of boots, a to big slicker. My Son's gear was smelly and holey. All in all, fishing was ok, customer service was just a disappointment.
