The Kimberley Hotel (Kimbo) Cape Town

Old school haunt with memorabilia and a quaint bar. It's a bit seedy but, in daytime, the service was good and an interesting stop on any route if you're up for something different.

Kimberly Backpackers is the ultimate place to stay in Cape Town if you are looking for affordable accommodation. I love how centrally placed it is which allows easy access to public transportation and local amenities. The staff are gold and go out of their way to make everyone feel welcome.

New Management and what a delight. The young man Yamkela has made this establishment stand out again. We felt welcome and loved our stay this time. We extended twice! There's still 2 ladies that are rude from the past. A waitress and a admin lady who is exceptionally miserable. She refuses to answer questions and looks like she hates to be there every second. Shame hospitality isnt for everyone. Hope that things will only get better and that this business thrives again soon. Yamkela you got our vote best manager do far!!!!

Went to check on a bar to rent... For the rental requested it was not worth it... Too small as a venue, the furniture as part of the deal not up to scratch and not sufficient toilet facilities... The location which should be ideal for entertainment is however not with the areas homeless lying around and not sufficient parking at all to cater for the customers...so not suitable for what I needed...

Was given attention every time I looked bartender in the eye food was really great

Never ever ever again. Staff was unfriendly , the room stank , bedding was stinky. One of the geust stole R4000 out my wallet whilst I was sleeping and I reported it to management and they did absolutely nothing about it. People watch out .....!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Booked for three nights and didn’t get breakfast as part of the package. If you’re in a really tight budget it’s a great place. Also be ready to pested by the bugs.

A gem of a place 1895 still going strong. Full of Victorian features Olde World pics and memrobelia. Great selection of beers and wine. Ultra friendly bar staff. Good portion of Oxtail at well below market prices. Nice touch with the loyalty card discount for the regulars will become our spot in future a must if u visiting the area David Mcgraw Cape Town
