Second time staying at the Kingsley. Both times were for work. Excellent location from where I needed to be, cpuple minutes walk. Can't wait to stay again. Beautiful hotel, super clean, staff couldn't be any more helpful and friendly from reception to bar staff and leisure centre. Great outdoor hot tub over looking the river. Excellent cocktails at the bar. Breakfast buffet is honestly the best I've had in a long time. Also overlooks the river. Rooms are very quiet, couldn't hear anything from the corridors. Beds and pillows are really comfortable. Nice small extras was the water coolers on each floor and a really good selection on tea/coffee station in the room. Plenty of space in the car park. Would definitely recommend.

Absolutely fabulous hotel! The rooms are comfortable and well decorated. All areas of the hotel are decorated to a high standard, and the ambience is lovely. Food here is 10/10, and the breakfast is simply one of the best hotel breakfasts I’ve had (and I have tried a lot!). The gym facilities and pool are wonderful- the sauna is always a good temperature. It’s in a great location, right by the river. But easily the best thing about this hotel is the staff- nothing is too much trouble, they are always helpful, warm, friendly and welcoming.

Beautiful hotel on the river away from Downtown Cork; room furniture and interior need an update to receive a four star rating. The amenities available is why this has such a high rating. This 4-star hotel does not come with a fridge in your room; nor a phone to call the receptionist Our room was very large and spacious with plenty of room for luggage, toiletries and a table with chair to sit at. The room furniture felt a bit dated and showed some wear whereas the lobby and dining room felt nicely furnished and well maintained. The staff was very friendly and hard working. The hotel does offer bicycles to ride along the River Lee. This hotel did not meet expectations, and we would not recommend The Kingsley even though it looked nice on the website, as it offers free parking

The Kingsley Hotel in Cork is pure luxury. Beautifully situated by the River Lee, it offers stunning views and a peaceful atmosphere. The restaurant and bar are top-notch—great food, elegant setting, and excellent service. The gym is well-equipped with a fantastic range of classes, and the spa facilities are next level. The outdoor hot tub overlooking the river is an absolute highlight, and the sauna and steam room make it the perfect spot to relax and unwind. Whether you’re visiting for business or pleasure, The Kingsley never disappoints!

I have visited this hotel three times for the spa, always with friends. One visit was during my pregnancy, and the other two were after giving birth, and each time I was treated exceptionally well by the entire staff. The massages and facial treatments exceeded my expectations. The facilities are spotless, and the environment is peaceful and incredibly relaxing. On my next visit, I plan to come with my husband to enjoy and unwind after a busy week. I highly recommend this hotel for anyone seeking care, comfort, and wellness!

We went to Cork to attend a wedding, unfortunately the venue where the wedding was held was not pet friendly......but Kingsley hotel super was :) .The service, the room, restaurant and bar where all excellent, I enjoyed the fact that the cooked breakfast was on the buffet too. Excellent food options for our dog too at the restaurant, she opted for steak and eggs before enjoying a lie down on the comfy bed provided. At reception we received a very comprehensive doggy bag with toys and even dog chocolate. If you are traveling with your dog Kingsley is a super option in Cork.

I stayed one night in the Kingsley hotel. It was a last minute decision as my family and I decided to stay another night after a long week in cork organizing a family funeral. I called last minute and the gentleman at reception, Brian, couldn’t do enough for us. They didn’t have a room available and we needed a dog friendly room in cork. He even offered to phone other hotels to check - bear in mind that we weren’t staying at this stage. Super hospitality! In the end we got a room as there was a last minute cancellation. From the moment we entered we were treated in such a lovely manner from all the staff we encountered. I am a bit “dog mad” so I was really impressed by how they treat doggies here - the welcome pack (treats, toys and a bandana for the dog), the lovely dog beds and blankets in the room and the fact my beloved dogs could hang out in most areas was a welcome treat ! I have stayed in most dog friendly hotels and even the 5 stars aren’t as good to doggies as the Kingsley. Made it all the more special for us. At the same time, if you don’t like dogs, there is a strict policy so other dogs wouldn’t bother you in the common areas. Breakfast was stunning - great selection in the buffet and breakfast made to order. There is not one thing you could fault. I’m just so glad we ended up staying as I will most certainly be back regularly with my two doggos ! Thank you to all the lovely staff.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ An Exceptional Stay – 5 Stars Aren’t Enough! From the moment I arrived at The Kingsley Hotel in Cork, I was blown away by the level of service and hospitality. The staff were absolutely incredible—warm, welcoming, and genuinely eager to make my stay special. I was kindly offered an early check-in at no extra cost, which was such a thoughtful touch after a long journey. On top of that, they also extended my check-out time free of charge—something you rarely experience these days. The location is fantastic—peaceful yet perfectly placed for exploring the city. And if that wasn’t enough, even after I’d checked out, I was invited to continue enjoying the hotel’s stunning pool and spa facilities. That level of generosity and service is truly rare. The Kingsley isn’t just a hotel, it’s an experience. I can’t recommend it highly enough and will absolutely be returning. Thank you to the entire team for making my stay unforgettable!

Yelp
Nice four star hotel on the river. This was probably the nicest hotel. We stayed at the six hotels we stayed at in Ireland. It's a couple of kilometers from the city center. Definitely had some business travelers and tourists. Breakfast was included with our room. The breakfast was delicious. I had the full Irish breakfast off the buffet, they also had cereal and yogurt, and you could order items off the menu if you like. we as well. Beautiful views of the river from all the restaurants. Free car park on site. Beautiful pool and fitness center. The room itself was nicely appointed, no mini fridge due to a green initiative, but you could request one. Nespresso in the room and tea. Super comfortable bed and pillows. Air conditioned.

Yelp
Awhile back, pre-COVID, my sister and I took a Brendan tour of Ireland. My sister and I stayed here 1 night while touring Ireland with Brendan Tours. This was my 2nd favorite hotel (after Ashford Castle) while visiting Ireland. The room was spacious, modern and beautifully decorated. The ensuite bath was lovely too, really enjoyed the double sinks as that helped my sister and I get ready quicker. The location is lovely, right by the river, and we went for a walk by the river which was very nice. All the staff we encountered were very nice and helpful. If I ever have the pleasure to go to Cork again and would love to return to this hotel.

Yelp
Absolutely loved it. When booking online prior to our trip, I was worried we'd be too far from the downtown hustle of the city. But the pricing seemed to good to pass up. The photos looked beautiful and we went for it. We had a rental car and had no issue finding parking in their lot right in front. Check in was a breeze and it didn't hurt that we had somehow gotten upgraded to a river view room. After staying in an Airbnb for 4 days, I was looking forward to a nice king bed, tub and spa facility. The room was amazing. It was exactly what we needed. The river was peaceful as we watched some people out on kayaks. The spa experience was out of this world. They really do try to have you as relaxed as possible with a waiting room post massage to just chill and veg out. The outdoor infinity pool was also stunning even though it was freezing cold out, I couldn't resist.

Yelp
Good amenities, but one of the most disgusting hotels that I have ever stayed in. The carpet was covered in stains, the shower had black mold, and the drains backed up easily. Clean it up, and it's easily a nice place - the location on the river is beautiful.

Yelp
Beautiful hotel. Our room was spacious with a lovely view of the river. The bed was large and comfortable. The bathroom was huge with a separate tub and shower. There was a free car park behind the hotel. We found it was a bit far from the heart of Cork. We had evening cocktails and breakfast there, both were great with views of the river.

Yelp
Loved it!! The location was perfect on the river. We used the gym--which was amazing!! We also used the sauna and then the outdoor jacuzzi overlooking the river at night. Wish our stay was longer because all of these elements made for a great night's stay!! Would highly recommend!!

Yelp
What a great hotel for the price!!!! Come stay here if you are in Cork, you won't be sorry. It's comparable to a 3.5-4 star hotel, like a Holiday Inn, Sheraton, even a Double Tree in the States. The bathroom in the room is beautiful and comes with 2 sinks! There's also a downstairs restaurant/bar which was also quite nice as well. Parking is in the basement garage and is free of charge.

Yelp

Yelp
I recently stayed at the Kingsley while working in Cork. The room was very nice and had a really comfortable bed. The staff was very friendly and the breakfast was pretty good. The only drawback to the hotel is the location. There really is nothing near the hotel. You will need to take a taxi or walk about 1.5 miles to get to town for food or shopping. Overall, a very nice hotel.

Yelp
Terrific location, very nice room, parking, restaurant was amazing! Great food, and service. Would have liked the drinking water either cooled or some ice in our glasses, but all else was very good. Also only patrons booking thru the hotel directly got breakfast included. That seemed short sighted and a bit cheap. We book thru third parties for convenience.

Yelp
Terrible experience -AGAIN! Had a terrible experience last New Years, and again last week! I Booked it for lunch for the day I bought my wedding dress for myself and family and a few friends. Staff made us feel totally unwelcome very rude and not helpful. It's my own fault as I shouldn't have booked it again but did email the manager free the terrible experience on New Years so thought they may have trained up staff a little better by now-clearly not! Food was fine but staff made it a bad experience, so disappointing! They didn't even notify us they were closing the K Lounge the waitress just and to our table and slapped the bill down saying they were closed. Never even gave us a chance to see if we wanted one more drink etc. I have served for years in Canada and this type of service would NEVER be tolerated. Irish hotels really don't have a clue how to train their staff to serve. We still have a tip, although I was reluctant to but it wasn't a very big one due to the terrible and unwelcoming staff. Considering they are part of "The Fota Collection" they really let down the Fota side.

Yelp
The hotel was beautiful, the reason I am giving them a three is because of a specific situation. I left my wallet at the Jameson Midleton Distillery the day before but didn't know it was there. So to me it was lost somewhere in Ireland, it was too late to call Jameson to confirm so my boyfriend and I just kept walking up and down the streets hoping it would appear, oh and it was st. Patrick's day too. Finally we give up, night ruined and went to sleep. The next morning we checked out and I called Jameson when they opened and confirmed my wallet was there. When I picked up my wallet they told me they had spoken to the hotel and informed them that they had my wallet. It angered me to know that they had this information and didn't mention it at all, not even during check out. If the reservation had not been under my name I would understand but the reservation was under my name and we even got charged to make the phone call to Jameson too. For the amount of money spent I left very annoyed. Also the first night the my boyfriend and I went to the bar to wait until the restaurant opened. There was no one else at the actual bar and we kept seeing the bartender walk in then go to the back and then in front of us and about 5 minutes past and still no word to us. I asked him if the bar was opened, he gave me a look and rudely said yes. He walked off and upon his return he finally took my boyfriend's order. The room and bathroom were beautiful and the view in the back by the river was also a sight.

Qype User (gym…)

Yelp
I was a member here for 6 months, having joined after a trial membership over Christmas. I thoroughly enjoyed being a member and would whole-heartedly recommend it to anyone. The reception area is very welcoming and the staff on the desk are always friendly. Within a few weeks, many of them knew my name and greeted me by name every time I came in. You get a towel with every visit which is a huge thing for me. Saves on gym bag space and on my laundry! The dressing rooms are clean and well laid out with Sky News to keep you entertained. Lockers have electronic locks and there are some individual changing areas. The showers have adjustable heat and good power. Vanity area with plenty of hairdryers, tissues, cotton wool and buds was very handy. The pool is an 18m one as far as I know and doesn't tend to be too busy. If you're not feeling too energetic you can spend time in the steam room or jacuzzi instead....or everyone's favourite: the outside hot tub! The tub is divine and overlooks the river. Amazing on a wintry day with the steam rising.... I spent most of my time in the gym. The equipment is Technogym and rarely out of order. Good collection of bikes, ellipticals, treadmills, steppers and 2 wave machines. There are plenty of weight machines as well as 2 free weight areas and 2 types of cable machine. I never had to wait for a cardio machine and could always carve out a space for weights. There is a separate Kinesis studio (using special Technogym Kinesis equipment) and this is also good for stretching etc. They run a good range of classes, split between the exercise studio and a separate spinning studio. Well taught, and included in the membership. In summary: I loved this place. I was really sorry to leave a spotless gym with smiling, friendly, knowledgeable staff. I always left the place feeling happier. Will be visiting when I get back! Find more Gyms in cork at http://gyms-in-cork.blogspot.com

Yelp
This hotel is to die for! So lovely! The service is great! Not that far from the city, huge car park, bus just outside the door and are quite regular! I can't get over this place

Mark A.

Yelp
The staff is a great group of human beings. I've been stranded here during a snow storm. Some of the staff haven't gone home in days, yet they are still smiling. I can't imagine needing to look after guests when I can't get home to my family. Only minor comments: please fix the music in the gym. Same 5 songs on a loop. Maddening when there isn't much to do other than work out. Also, hotels that cater to international guests should be better equipped to deal with these things.

Yelp
Fantastic stop on our 10 day tour of Ireland, from the well appointed rooms to the excellent service from the staff. Added bonus of the fabulous spa in the lower levels and this became one of the highlights of our trip. Will definitely rebook on our next trip, highly recommended for any traveler.

Yelp
I recently spent some time here during a visit back home with hubby. I'd visited the hotel many times before to use the spa. The rooms are well appointed and the bathroom was spacious. Breakfast was very good and reasonably priced. We also ate lunch in the restaurant and that food was also delicious. Very friendly welcome on arrival. Only downsides were that we didn't recieve our wakeup call on the morning of our flight departure and that when we didn't want to sit in the formal restaurant as only 1 of our group of 4 wanted a sandwich, they would not serve it to the bar. The rationale being 'then everyone will want it'. Perhaps a missed opportunity. The spa and thermal suite continue to be a big draw for me. All in all, I would definitely stay here again.

Yelp
Overall the hotel is excellent. Friendly staff at reception, lovely rooms with high standard interior, comfy bed and a great selection of food for any time of the day, breakfast is very good with selection of hot and cold foods as well as teas and coffee etc. There was free underground parking which is handy and the location is 15 min walk from the city centre, i was very happy with my stay here.

Yelp
Such a nice hotel! This was my favorite hotel during my trip to Ireland. And parking is easy to get to right below the building. We only stayed here one night...wish we couldve stayed longer!
