From the moment The Kitchen Café opened its doors in Brewster, it instantly became one of our top three favorite spots for breakfast and lunch on Cape Cod. The vibe is warm and welcoming, Whether you’re grabbing a quick cup or settling in for a hearty meal, this place invites you to relax and savor the moment. What truly sets The Kitchen Café apart is its joyful and attentive staff—everyone always seems genuinely happy to be there, which adds to the experience in the best way. The food is beyond delicious. And let’s talk about the hot sauce station… it’s a flavor-lover’s dream, with so many options that it’s become my personal little heaven. A few years back, they expanded the space to include a bar, and wow—it elevated the experience even more. Plus, it’s incredibly family-friendly, with a sweet outdoor grassy area and lawn toys to keep the kids entertained. Whether you’re a coffee connoisseur, a brunch enthusiast, or just looking for a cheerful place to gather, The Kitchen Café is a must when visiting the Lower Cape area. There’s truly something for everyone.

Google
A fabulous place to get solid breakfast, eat in or take out. We needed a substantial order for takeout for a brunch event, and the food was great. Breakfast burritos, breakfast sandwiches, and BLT were all amazing. It was nice to have good quality savory breakfast items to have, as opposed to pancakes. Was a huge hit!

Google
My boyfriend and I stopped in specifically for the Brussels sprouts, and they did not disappoint! We noticed another couple has stopped in to do the same. Very large portion and is shareable. We also got a gingerbread latte, which was delicious and not too sweet! Girl behind the counter wasn’t very friendly honestly, but the interior is really cute and cozy. Would for sure come back.

Google
Everything was great here. Hot sauce selection is on point, very cool as a hot sauce afficionado to have some of the same stuff available that I have in my home fridge! I had the omelette and my wife had the eggs Benedict, home fries were amazing. Highly recommend stopping in here for breakfast!

Google
Excellent food. Lot's of selection for breakfast foods. All food was served hot and delicious. They didn't ask what kind of toast I wanted, but ended up with one slice of sourdough. My over easy eggs were overcooked, but plenty of bacon and delicious home fries. There are other food trucks to take up the slack when the kitchen can't keep up. Good parking. Things for the kids to do. Staff were friendly. They also serve adult beverages.

Google
The food was ok. Super overpriced. Locals seemed to be very satisfied, but I wasn't much impressed. The cashier was nice, she told me children size waffle was very small, I got a child size, my daughter got regular size, it was the same size for both, mine came with one and hers with two... 60$ for what you see...

Google
I love that the Kitchen Cafe has Chai Latte! Many breakfast places don't have this option. I had French toast, my husband had blueberry pancakes, and my Dad had eggs, toast, hashbrowns, and ham. The meals were good, and the portion sizes were decent. However, I have to say I expected more for the price. All in with tip, it was a 90.00 breakfast! I wish the food were a little more special for the cost.

Google
Exceptional! Kitchen Cafe handles crowds on a Sunday AM with ease. Excellent food choices served with happy Staff. The Owner will hustle and even help u find parking. Great spot for a Family Brunch! #avocadotoast

Yelp
Everything in this place is absolutely amazing- food, atmosphere, service and everything!!! I love that they using local bakery for their toast- what a difference. Thank you! We will be back P.S we wish to include some pictures but we literally jumped on it as soon as we could;)

Yelp
Went for lunch when we arrived in town. Our server was pleasant . We ordered 2 grilled cheese and a salad with chicken. Chicken was tuff and did not taste like it was made to order. Yes when the waitress came over to see how our meal was I did tell her. Both grilled cheese were extremely greasy and could not be finished. The fries were cold. While we were eating the staff were cleaning tables and resetting them. They were banging the table and chairs around definitely not happy. While doing so complaining about other staff so we could hear them. Made us feel very uncomfortable. I went up to the hostess and asked if they were closing she said yes but we seat till 2. I told her I wish she would have said something. Clearly her staff was unhappy and unprofessional. When I spoke with her again. How bad the food was and staff unprofessional she offered us to come back. We told her no we did not feel comfortable coming back. She did the right thing offer another meal another time. But when we said we wouldn't she should have told she would void the meal. Terrible experience

Yelp
Excellent service and the food was cooked to order. Fresh omelet and crispy home fries and killer sourdough toast. I wanted to order a scone and a muffin too as you can see they look delicious in a case. They are wonderful and I'd go back in a minute. And I'm not usually a breakfast person

Laura L.

Yelp
Jacinta, our server, recommended the crispy chicken sandwich. The fried chicken is delicious and crispy with lettuce, tomato, bacon with ranch dressing on toasted iggy's brioche. Also included is a handful of tasty fries. Our lunch arrived in a reasonable time. The cafe is clean and roomy with ample seating inside and out. Jacinta is tentative to making sure our coffee was filled and we were all set. I highly recommend this cafe and would place The Kitchen Cafe as a favorite.

Yelp
Several helpful tips upon arriving: *There is no table service here. You'll order at their counter, get an assigned number and that's how they'll find you when your meal is ready. *If there's a wait for a table, add your name, and then you'll have to wait in the counter service line to place your order for your food. *They have a self serve water urn and condiment table. No need to buy boxed water as I did, unfortunately. Just help yourself to these items because they don't have waiters and no employee will tell you these details. This information would have been very helpful but the teenager working the waiting list and the person taking the orders didn't convey. This was frustrating. My Western Omlette was good, filled with cheese, but the ham and vegetables where cooked in the egg and not used as filling as is usually the case in a traditional omelette. I've had better. Hubs said his Huevos Rancheros was not a future reorder. The outside patio is covered and was pleasant on the July morning.

Yelp
Good food, good service. Just an overall quality meal for everyone. I am sure we will come back again this visit.

Yelp
Ive heard from a few people the Kitchen Cafe was excellent! I finally stopped in for breakfast and was disappointed on three counts. Before I get into all that I will attempt to qualify some things to your liking. 1st - Its very difficult to find good help these days. I get that. After working as a manager this past year at a local lumber retailer I felt the pain and frustration from this very issue and I feel for all the businesses on the Cape and beyond. 2nd - With all the great pressure Cape Cod restaurants feel from the swelling of the summer population from all the tourists and 'tour-ons' (credit cousin Bob W. for this cheeky noun), wanting to please the most possible customers in the least amount of time is prudent and profi 3rd - Product is expensive. Especially on Cape Cod. I was seated quickly and then had to get up and enter a cafeteria style line to order the breakfast. Denver Omelette. It was ok. The tiny chucks of ham were either food processed or purchased previously food processed. Not much flavor. There was one piece of cold under-toasted bread with a smidge of butter. The home fries tasted bland and perhaps were frozen. The one young man who I asked for ketchup and hot sauce tersely said its right behind you... He didn't make an effort to offer any assistance after that. For the price I paid it was definitely not a good dining experience.

Yelp
Lobster roll at The Kitchen Café in Brewster. $19.99! Obviously outsourced lobster meat but still a good deal and very tasty. Order was served quite quickly. I like my lobster salad with a little more mayonnaise than most so I got some to add. I'd get this again! Pet peeve: I ordered black iced tea and got some flavored tea instead.

Evan J.

Yelp
Coffee, burrito, waffle, hashbrowns. It was all perfect. I rarely think breakfast is 5/5, but every meal was outstanding. The place is clean and beautiful. Could tell the server was new, but she was sweet. Great end to our little trip.

Alan B.

Yelp
Very friendly place. Although we had a table, you still have to stand in line to order and they bring it to you. The service was so efficient, this minor inconvenience was quickly forgotten. The food was fresh, flavorful, artistically prepared and plentiful. We split the crispy chicken sandwich and the bacon and goat cheese avocado toast. Everyone in the place seemed happy.

Bob M.

Yelp
Stopped by for breakfast but too late for breakfast items but we were able to find something that fit the bill. We were greeted immediately and shown to a table and explained how the restaurant operated. The process is you get assigned to a tan Blue and the go to the side of the restaurant to see the menu and place your order. You're then given a number which you take back to your table and the food is delivered to you. We ordered the morning glory sandwich consisting of two eggs, choice of meat, bacon in our case, hash brown, chipotle aioli served on a brioche bun. There are plenty of beverage selections to choose from. The sandwiches arrived pretty quickly . Everything was cooked fine with good flavor. If you want something quick and don't mind the cafeteria feel then this might be a choice for you. Can't say we were over the top about the place and probably won't make a return trip.

Connor A.

Yelp
Went here for breakfast, beach vibe interior, well decorated with a full service coffee bar. We sat on the outdoor patio which is very well landscaped and beautiful. The food was good and the orange juice is fresh squeezed. Service was not good, not friendly, kind of seemed annoyed that we were there. Was multiple employees as well.

Laura L.

Yelp
Nicest people running the place Clean and friendly atmosphere In or out options Interesting menu with their own spin on great food. The lobster roll and fries is fantastic with a great price to boot!!! Brussels salad is amazing Then again everything is! Even great specialty coffee

Jeannette U.

Yelp
Best lobster roll on the cape! Service excellent and delicious iced coffees Definitely recommend this one! We had a house in Brewster f OKor many years this little place is a hidden Jen!

lisa r.

Yelp
Our order was apparently to go... it seems as if you order and then sit, but you have a choice to be served or take it to-go. There wasn't a hostess so I assumed we would order and then choose a table. When we sat down we were kicked out of the table and that's when the concept was clear. Food was terrible and extremely greasy, whoever packed the food put one meal in a box on its side so everything got covered in bacon grease. The two egg scrabble seemed like one egg and was not edible... not sure how you screw up eggs, but okay. Seevice was blah... and they didn't have change for cash. I was handed almost $2 in dimes... For a super busy place and a appealing aesthetic. It's clearly just a money grab for the busy season..

Kristi W.

Yelp
How the F* this place has 4.5 stars is beyond me. I ate three bites of the worst omelette ever. It was bland, had zero flavor. The onions, peppers, and ham were diced into tiny pieces. Comparable to a Dunkin Donuts wake up wrap. Garbage that was way too overpriced.

Fahim R.

Yelp
We tried going here for lunch last time we were in the cape, but we're turned away as they were too crowded. This time we showed up before 8am in a Sunday and walked in. You reserve a table, order at the counter and then they bring your food out to you. All the food was great: omelettes, toast, potatoes. The potatoes were nice and crispy, and nothing was too greasy. Portions were just right. The kids menu offers lunch items for breakfast as well, which was great as my son got grilled cheese as a treat for breakfast. The dining area is really nice. They also have lots of pastries, good coffee and you can buy international treats like cookies. Now we know why this place is so crowded, best breakfast in the Cape we've had.

Michele G.

Yelp
Cute little store- food was pretty good and location was super cute. Can get food to eat there, outside, or to go. Recommend as quick service and good food

Sharon A.

Yelp
Unbelievable food and service. Thank you so much!!!! Came here with a group and they accommodated us so well. Lobster roll was amaze. Crispy chicken too. Love it.

Paul C.

Yelp
Possibly the best breakfast, dollar-for-dollar, on the Cape. Really enjoyed the bacon & goat cheese avocado toast. My better half had two eggs, home fries and toast. This place is busy, even in the shoulder season and ordering is a little different than most places. You put your name in first and, when available, get assigned a table. Then, after you're seated, you get up and proceed to the ordering area. Food came out super quick and was delivered to our table. Friendly staff too. In my opinion, The Kitchen Cafe provides one of the few alternatives to the stellar Hangar B in Chatham for breakfast.

Lila S.

Yelp
What a nice addition to the area ! I love the layout, simplicity and cleanliness right off the bat. Staff was so friendly it was almost suspicious! How are you this nice this early in the day!? How nice. Order at the counter and they bring you the goods to Your choice of table first come first serve. It was Busy but steady for a mid week morning and very comfortable even so. Our food came out in lightening speed and the coffee drinks are better than any Starbucks I've had in ages. Try the iced dirty chai! I loved the California omelette and I'm Curious to Come back For lunch. The menu isn't huge but that makes For a quick , easy and convenient breakfast that you can still enjoy with fork and knife. Definitely a great take out or grab and go place too!

Lori H.

Yelp
Got a Turkey BLT to go. The flavor was decent but they use a sweet honey mustard that doesn't work with the avocado. And at 16.99, served with a small bag of chips, it wasn't worth it. I guess I'll stick to the lobster rolls!

Kris Y.

Yelp
Excellent food and great value, my wife had the lobster roll which was great and a good deal at $19.95. I had the Mahi Mahi sandwich which was served on fresh baked Chabad a cooked perfectly. The wine and beer options are well thought out. The service was excellent! The staff friendly and not short staffed like so many places. It is nice to have health and elevated dining option at a reasonable price. We will definitely be back.

Djenzie D.

Yelp
The best in town! Friendly staff, nice ambiance and a great menu with tasteful, fresh and modern dishes. Wide range of beverages to choose from and good coffees. Keep up the good work guys!

Gardner S.

Yelp
Scrumptious breakfast. Popovers too. Wish we'd gone more than once in our week on the cape.

Cheryl D.

Yelp
This place was amazing. I had the best Huevos Rancheros I have ever eaten. It's a little bit of an odd set up. You're seated and given a 'reserved' sign to keep at your table. You then need to walk inside and get in line and order at a counter. They then give you a number and will run the food and coffee or whatever out to you. They were all very nice and the food was amazing. Coffee was too!

Stephen A.

Yelp
Ok when it comes to an over easy egg I am the biggest egg snob, no one does them better than me ever until now. Thought I was eating at home it was perfect I even went into the kitchen and let them know it. I'm a believer if you can send something back to the kitchen because it's not what you expected then you need to step up and let them know when they overachieved. Also got the breakfast burrito there loved it. Also got the waffles loved them. Home fries perfect toast perfect and the meats cooked to perfection. This place is going to make it on cape cod.Plenty of parking and seating inside and out. Nicely kept up and you should see it decorated for halloween. Great service friendly staff.

Lynne W.

Yelp
The food and coffee are excellent! The staff are lovely and the restaurant is clean. A great place to stop for breakfast or lunch

Vanessa C.

Yelp
Our experience at the kitchen cafe was excellent! We were greeted by warm and friendly staff, who found us a table perfect for our family with children, put out a reserved sign on it and explained the process of ordering at the counter and getting a number to display for your food to be brought. The menu had something for everyone. The service was super fast and fresh. The breakfast burrito was unique with the crispy hash browns inside, the Belgian Waffle with Berries and whipped cream was sweet, delicious and the best I've had.

Stuart M.

Yelp
Great food and excellent service! Their Morning Glory breakfast sandwich is amazing.

Alison L.

Yelp
Delicious!!!! The burger was incredible (a little messy as it's loose ground beef) but the sauce with the onions is so good (reminded me of in-n-out actually) The turkey sandwich and huevos rancheros were delicious as well! Love the ambiance, beautiful tile work and interior design. Very light and cheerful

Caitlin P.

Yelp
Wow! We were in for breakfast 12/31/21 and we were blown away by the service, decor and more importantly- the food! My daughter ordered the avocado toast with bacon and goat cheese, My husband had the avocado toast with sriracha, tomato, feta and added an egg on top- wow! I had the breakfast burrito- it has potatoes and avo in it- and is pressed/toasted, my son had a bagel and cream cheese (the cream cheese was like butter-unreal) and a side of sausage and we also ordered a Belgium waffle with whipped cream and berries for the table! The Cold Brew hit the spot and it's served in a Mason Jar :) I highly recommend The Kitchen Cafe- you can tell it's a family owned and operated business and they are passionate about what they do! You can't be in this area of the Cape and not stop! I can't wait to try lunch next time!

Dennis M.

Yelp
-1 star for the price. "Eggs any style" means fried, fried or fried. Mediocre coffee, but good tea. It's an Ok coffee house that sells food. Service is minimal. The interior is clean, that's about it. Nothing special. Not worth the $20 per person.

Mary H.

Yelp
Wonderful food and menu for breakfast and lunch!!! The service and staff are so friendly. We are very happy they are open all year long too !!! You won't be disappointed.

Rob C.

Yelp
What an awesome addition to the Brewster Community. Great food and impeccable service. I've enjoyed take out meals from these owners in their previous restaurant in Boston for years and was never disappointed. The care they have for their staff, their customers, and their community members is evident in the overall quality of their operation. Looking forward to seeing them thrive in Brewster. And oh by the way, they serve the best lobster roll I've ever eaten!

Martha S.

Yelp
Fantastic food. Custom seasonal cocktails. Creative food choices and a $20 lobster roll. Can't beat that!

John K.

Yelp
We stopped in for breakfast based on the other reviews and we were not disappointed. We both had the avocado toast (one with bacon one the Sriracha version) good size portion - my wife didn't finish hers! We will gladly visit again!

Caroline O.

Yelp
I highly recommend Kitchen Cafe. The place is spotless, the food is excellent, they are very handicap friendly, and their service is so kind! This is a casual breakfast and lunch restaurant that you can eat in or get takeout. We got takeout sandwiches and chicken fingers ( for the kiddo) and they were delicious! We also bought their coffee beans since the restaurant smelled like amazing coffee. I love that they serve local coffee and offer beer and wine. The service here is very, very good. We showed up hungry right before closing and they couldn't have been more accommodating. Especially since I was with my 84 year old mom and my 6 year old kiddo. My suggestion is if you need to get delicious breakfast to go, or sandwiches to go, and you are near Brewster, go here. Tip well, these kind people deserve it!

Stephanie G.

Yelp
Wonderful everything- food, drinks, service, ambiance and all at a very low reasonable cost. 5 stars all the way. Will certainly return and definitely recommend. ( Unbelievable Lobster roll at a fraction of the cost we usually pay) Thank you for wonderful dinner. Loved it.

Ji Young L.

Yelp
Still one of my favorite places to grab coffee, breakfast, or lunch! I love their shiitake mushroom wrap, latte, turkey blt, and pastries!!! Chicken tenders are super tender and crispy. Will come back just for chicken tenders yummy:))

MasterRiff P.

Yelp
Back again to this lovely place in Jun 2023. They re-arranged the furniture and the place seemed a bit bigger. My wife had to take an important medical phone call after the breakfast was out. The manager was so nice that she asked the chef to re-made the Western omelet for my wife with no charge. My wife was happy for the manager to re-heat the dish in the microwave but she cooked a new one for her. This was great service that is hard to find these days.

Dan R.

Yelp
Delicious fried chicken sandwich and cinnamon bun! Fantastic coffee! Stop by and try this place. This is definitely gonna become a regular spot for me.

Ray N.

Yelp
I had a chance to visit the newest breakfast joint in the area. From the minute you walk in you know that this is a high-quality and great service establishment. The food is amazing and everything we tried was delicious. The service was very good as well. Being only open a few weeks, they are still trying to get the flow to flow. Highly recommend and will definitely be back.

Cin L.

Yelp
Price is a bit steep. Had a breakfast sandwich, latte, and a pecan muffin plus tip and tax was over 30 dollars.

Christina S.

Yelp
Called my order in for two egg sandwiches on white toast . The person on the phone repeated the order back to me and made mistakes . I verbally said NO i don't want English muffin I want white bread toasted . I arrive to pick up the sandwiches and my order comes out . I leave , open sandwhiches and it's on English muffin . I know it may seem petty to some but this is the norm these days just throwing peoples food together and not giving a S**t ! I paid 16.00 for two egg sandwiches and it was wrong . Just sucks that I repeated NO ENGLISH MUFFiN ! Stopped here quickly and probably won't again .

Sharon P.

Yelp
My two friends and I had a lovely visit and dinner at Kitchen Cafe! Our server, Cara P, was the best. We had great fun and laughs with her. She is just wonderful and soooo patient! I, I live out of state, am so looking forward to returning to this cafe next summer, multiple times! Thank you Cara so very much! Also, our food was great!

ilene h.

Yelp
A much needed addition to Brewster. We've been enjoying there breakfast and lunch all Summer. Standouts are the Waffles, The fish sandwich and the iced cold brew. They have a few swanky little groceries too. Bring your wallet, yummy isn't cheap.

Mike S.

Yelp
Awesome place! Toast and potatoes were phenomenal! Great service friendly staff! Happy New Year!

Haley P.

Yelp
Ambience is great! Coffee is so so- not sure id go back. Friendly staff - but again coffee was nothing special.
