Only drove 75 miles and it was worth it, we milled the food in the car, it was just like home, thank you so much for bringing back all the memories of take outs on a Friday night from Walkinstown or Clondalkin, a long way from home, we ordered 2, 3 in 1 trays and extra curry sauce and prawn crackers and chicken balls and spicebag chicken balls and 2 cans of rock shandy, portion sizes is big, and the food is amazing. Run don’t walk here, food porn as in the pic below.

Okay so let me begin by saying that this restaurant was one of our favorites in the neighborhood. The food was always good. My daughter specially loved their chocolate mousse cake. At the beginning of the month we order food and 3 mouse cakes, it was pretty late at night, so by the time we were about to eat the cake my husband realizes my daughter’s cake had some spots. It was mold. So I took a picture to show them. The restaurant was closed by that time. So when I called them, I was told the owner wasn’t there and I was told I would get a call back. Never did. I am honestly disappointed at the customer service. It should be a priority in my opinion, so your customers feel heard and ultimately come back. The cashier is always kind and attentive. However I feel like there should be better care on the food inspection and honestly It makes me not want to risk it ordering again unfortunately.

Absolutely horrible. The food is inedible and the place reeks! Way better places to eat than here don’t bother wasting your time or money

A small spot with big flavor. I really like the way they make their Curry with 🐔 🍚 and fries. I suggest trying that but you can stay try their for and chips or any of their burgers. They have long hours so it's easy to order from them very early to very late.

The Mexican food was not appetizing at all. Ordered a chicken quesadilla, and it came in a bed of lettuce, one small tortilla folded in half with a few fatty pieces of chicken and rest was cheese. Lemonade was not a lemonade, it was very sweet with with I dont k ow what it. Churros was actually a deep fried waffle with cinnamon flavor. Guacamole was very salty. Basically, it was not worth what I paid for.

Just a complete disappointment. The curry chicken had a tasty breading but fried until it was dry and chewy. The pot pie, as you can see in the pic, isn't really pot pie. Just a bland chicken stew with a small piece of puff pastry on top. If you order it and hope for a nice pie crust this isn't it, it's not even a pie. Only thing good was the chicken breading. You'll also notice that only the good reviews have received replies from the owner. The owner has commented on all the other comments (multiple after mine was posted) but avoids the critical one. That to me is the best indication of how they choose to operate. It's a restaurant that obviously doesn't care about someone who clearly had an awful experience (and has the pictures to back it up). UPDATE: They reached out only after my review came towards the top. It had sat there stagnant for 2 weeks without so much as a whisper from them. They don't understand that each time you edit the review it takes the date of the edit on. They said they would rectify the order but how could they possibly fix that dreadful chicken pot pie you see in the picture? That's what you actually receive. The chicken tenders that were fried until the chicken tenders became jerky was too much as well. These are real photos of their food and was sent to me the first time (ask yourself how something this bad is allowed to leave the kitchen. That's a cook and support staff that don't care.). I'll let them send me the same meal again and update with photos. Until then, avoid this place you'll receive exactly what you see.

Cute wrap is great and the fried Oreos are very fresh. Lemonade is also really good.

It was my first time trying this place. I ordered 2 bbq bacon burgers and they were both supposed to be double patty and neither of them was. The patty was dry and lacked flavor. I also ordered the raspberry lemonade and l got regular lemonade. The food wasn’t awful but I’m disappointed. Overall, it was a letdown and not worth the hype.

First of all I hate leaving bad reviews but this one really pissed me off. I ordered a chicken sandwich and garlic fries. The sandwich had a tiny piece of chicken in it with the hard part of the lettuce and little chunks of tomatoes and that was the good part. The garlic fries was nothing but French fries with an over abundance of mayonnaise! Yes I said mayonnaise and not anything resembling or tasting like garlic. I'm sorry but today they lost me as a customer!!!

Loving this spot! Especially the garlic Mayo/sweet chili combo on the G2. Staff was very accommodating when we asked for our wraps to be toasted after they were made and also when I used the Yelp offer for their yummy lemonade. They can flavor it many different ways. I'd say give this place a go if you're around the neighborhood! Very much Irish vibes

The team here has gone to town because regardless of the low rating, it offers a nice-sounding menu in Irish-heavy Woodlawn. The plank wood exterior design has a chic and down-to-earth feel and so does the sidewalk seating. Interior is clean and clear partition hangs between counter and.....kitchen. There's a simple rectangular-shaped menu listing Burgers- which you can customize from protein to type of bread, Fries, Irish Breakfast items, beverages, etc. My $12 salmon patty burger was a tasty mouthful but would've wished it had a more substantial green like spinach or arugula- instead of shredded iceberg- especially for that price. I don't pussyfoot around a good side of fries or tater tots so when I noticed "Truffle" Tater Tots, I wanted in. Except, $6 "Truffle" Tater Tots were anything but Truffle. They were fresh though. My Irish homegirl was a doll through and through. This Irish spot is far away from the normal burger joint with its Mexican and curry flair- but ingredients need a bit of an upgrade.

I love The Kitchen!! Their food is 10/10! The workers are very friendly, and their chicken sandwich is amazinggg

I cant believe I haven't stopped by sooner! I love all the different types food they offer and it tastes amazing and fresh to order (not to mention affordable) The ordering was so smooth and I love you can easily view their menu and order online or in person. Their outdoor seating is so sweet. I definitely love having this type of restaurant in the neighborhood and want to come back and try their whole menu eventually

Was craving Birria tacos so I came across this location on Uber eats. On the app it comes up as "Santas tacos".....Placed my order for pick up one evening . Food was ready on time and the staff and environment were nice . However , these are easily the worst tasting tacos I've ever had in my life . I ordered 3 Birria tacos and a Birria with cheese . I took one bite and threw them both away . There was no flavor what so ever . The soup that came wit the Birria was watery & lacked flavor in its entirety ; brown water basically . What a waste of money . Never again .

I love the tacos de birria and consome the most but also enjoy the burgers, the dirty clucker, veggie spring rolls and fried Oreos. I've tried the spice bag but I prefer the American and Mexican dishes here the most. I also like the selection of sodas from rockshandy to jarritos. They always remember to include the sauces and I have had good experiences with the delivery but I try to pick up when I can. They're always improving and updating the restaurant space so you can tell they care about the business. The staff is nice and patient. One time I called here 10 mins before closing and they still took my order. I appreciate this spot in the neighborhood .

Once again they just cannot seem to get it right ... Ordered a MEDIUM burger with a fried Egg, bacon and cheddar cheese Received a Well Done Burger ... no cheese , no bacon Also not even some napkins ? Smh .

Awful! Haven't not ate here in 3 years because how bad the food was last time I tried it I thought surely it had to have gotten better.. unfortunately I was wrong! How the hell can you mess up curry out of a box? It was black and tasted more like gravy... burger was as tough as an old boot. Sorry the kitchen but I'll not be giving you another shot

Never ordering from this place again. It took almost an hour for the food to get here, so it's was cold. I live a block away. The driver was too lazy to bring the food to me, I had to go out and find him. For almost four dollars he could at least take it to my door. The burger was ok, not worth the almost an hour! Lesson learned.

Their food keeps on getting better and better as the years go by, they continue to reinvent the menu which makes it exciting . Chicken Birria tacos are the best, Chicken Quesadillas are delicious. Their burgers are so fresh and lemonades are yummy.

Great food great staff!!!! My favorite is the cheese curry fries. They definitely deserve 5 stars!!

I felt compelled to write this review after I had a horrendous ordeal receiving food from these people. Food took almost 2 hours to arrive. No courtesy call, no apology no nada. Food was cold and while the driver was apologetic it's unacceptable when the establishment isn't too far away from your friends place. Never again!

Only if I could this place 0 stars!! This place is horrible two hours to get my food. When I call them they pretended like they didn't know what I was talking about. Very unprofessional and rude.. Edit review after reply by Jackie.... Jackie, what is the difference between my order having my name or not? Your restaurant is the reason why small business in New York City are closing down. Horrible customer service and a boss like yourself who doesn't own up to failures.

Late night tacos and onion rings. I screwed up and didn't get the taco birria with cheese. They need cheese and are not the same without it. Great crispy onion rings. Very friendly people. Will be back!

This is one of my go-to delivery restaurants. I've ordered from them many times, and my overall experiences have been consistent. (Except one time I received med rare burger instead of well done) Delivery is on time and smooth, plus they usually follow your special instruction for the order! (You know so many restaurants just ignore your special instruction notes...) I love the fact that they use fresh ingredients, not greasy or overly salty, and if you order their french fries, it's big enough portion that you can share for 2 :) They also have a coupon on seamless now which gives you free fries for an order over $30! I always prefer ordering from here instead of other local burger options for freshness of their ingredients and reliability of service.

We waited for our delivery for almost 2 hours. When she showed up, she claimed she was the owner and was giving some excuses about the driver having car trouble. Had I not complained, she would not have given it a second thought. She called back to let us know the order was refunded, which is the least she could do, but she kept the $3 tip! As expected, the food was semi warm and soggy. She claimed it was made upon order and kept In a warmer oven!!! We ordered over easy eggs... why would you keep the in a warmer for 45 minutes and think that's ok?! Edit after response: The tip was in fact refunded, it was the tax that was not refunded. When the owner brought me the food she said she thought it was only a couple minutes late. Also, I specifically asked when the food was prepared because the girl on the phone said it was prepared when ordered and I was appalled that you would deliver old food. The fact remains that if you knew you were having problems with your driver, you should have called to let us know if we wanted to wait and to and prepare the food fresh.

Me amd my friend collectively spent 90 dollars on 4 orders of waterd down birria tacos. One people with bland taste bud would find this appetizing only ate one taco not even limon or the sala roja or verde could save these soggy tacos happy easter sunday all :/

Awful. Awful food, awful customer service. Owner had the nerve to insinuate stupidity on the part of the customer rather than admit their error. Update: What the owner described below is not exactly what transpired, but I am not going back and forth with you. What's next? Calling to order fried rice and specifying that it is made with rice? I will never be revisiting your establishment so this is moot. I am simply trying to warn others. You have a great evening.

Will not be eating here again. Like most people I ordered for delivery the food is usually cold/warm by the time it gets to me but still good. This time my wings were (to me and my boyfriend) undercooked no one wants blood running down their wings.

Ordered twice recently for pick up. The food was delicious and ready on time. (You can place an order on their website super simple). We ordered the Irish curry cheese fries which were really good, I don't know of any other place that has something like it in the Bronx. We also tried the buffalo chicken sandwich (i forget the exact name) and their fried fish sandwich. Can't wait to try more from them.

I have ordered from here 3 times now and the food is always VERY good, however each of these 3 times something from my order was missing, once I ordered the chicken salad sandwich and it came without the chicken salad, only lettuce on the bread. The most recent time I ordered the burrito bowl and it came without cheese (which was indicated). I really wish the cooks would double check their work to ensure the orders are being made correctly because the food that you DO get is very good and I wish I could recommend this local business more than I objectively can.

Ordered for delivery from these guys. First off- the burger was SO good. Seasoned to perfection and made exactly to my liking. Wasn't dry at all. Fried Oreos were also good! We didn't really like the wings...they were soggy and not much taste to the sweet chili sauce. They also gave me tartar sauce instead of blue cheese, which was a big mistake. The curry chicken chunks were so tiny, and half of the breading fell off in the frying process so there was nothing to it. Basically oily chicken. Not sure if i would Ever order from them again. Fast delivery though, with a polite delivery driver

Ordered here for the first time this week. I ordered the truffle Mac n cheese and it was really really yummy. My daughter loved the mashed potatoes and vegetables. My husband ordered the burger and fries, he also enjoyed it. Delivery was really fast, 25-30 Min from placing the order. My fave new place!!!

I was tired of making the long drive to queens and brooklyn for Birria tacos and was hoping this could be my new spot, was very disappointed. Both the tacos and consome were bland. I didn't finish them. Staff were pretty nice but I won't be back. The search continues.

UPDATE: I have to take exception to the nickle & diming on the menu, alas. This I found troubling. The Kitchen charges FAR too much of typical options on burgers. $6 is a fair price for a good cheeseburger... but they ask me "Lettuce tomato onion?" Well, sure! That option should be a single, a la carte price; maybe $1-$1.50... MAX. Instead, my reasonably priced burger became a $10 debacle. That hurt. I should've asked "how much", but come on. Is your lettuce grown in Shangri La? .10¢ worth of lettuce for a buck... and extra for a few shards of onion? It was a little insulting. If you're going to pick my pocket w/ toppings, don't offer it like "Oh, lettuce, tomato and onion?" as if it's compliments of the house. ---- ---- Brand new to the scene, The Kitchen" lends a much-needed nouveau flair to an otherwise predictable neighborhood of Irish butchers, pubs and pizzerias. This place is small, cozy and no-nonsense. Even if you eat in, the food is handed off to you wrapped up like a to-go order (sans bag). The menu has plenty of interesting options not commonly found in the area, displaying an international flair; Croque Madam sandwich, Blackberry & Goat Cheese Toast, Chicken Enchiladas, etc. Everything is quite reasonably priced. Both the wife and I found the food to be fresh and tasty. I had ordered the Tarragon Chicken Sandwich w/ Avocado, Provolone. However, one caveat was that the my sandwich showed up as chicken salad, not grilled / fried fillet. Typically, you expect a PIECE of chicken on a chicken sandwich. In this way, the menu was misleading. I ate it, and it was good. However, I wouldn't have ordered it if I'd known it would be chicken salad. The Mrs. ordered the grilled chicken & mozz on toasted brown bread (an Irish staple), and she was very pleased w/ the taste and freshness. We also shared a side of Truffle mac & cheese, Very good indeed. We look forward to trying breakfast there. The staff was pleasant, attentive to my questions, and very friendly overall. Overall, a most welcome addition to the neighborhood.

I walked in looking for something a little different to eat. I ordered a chicken Torta, apparently, a Mexican sandwich made on a panini like bread. Grilled chicken, lettuce, refried beans, onions. jalapeno and maybe more. It was a hefty sandwich, I consumed only half, and I can eat! It was delish man! I'll be back for tacos etc! Go try their food but don't get in my way!

Been ordering from here 2yrs now and not once have I been disappointed. Excellent food. They were closed for a week and made it up to us customers with a discount for labor day. They are just absolutely delicious and fantastic. My personal fav is fish &chips. Although I do wish it could be less oily. I love you Kitchen people!

Everytime I order from here my Order comes wrong or is missing something... If we are charged for the food we expect to get all the food we order. Need to pay more attention!

I love The Kitchen. I initially found them through seamless and they were my go to for ordering. Their burgers, tacos and macncheese are awesome. I'm so sad they aren't on any online delivery apps anymore. Come back to the apps!!!!

The Kitchen you are simply remarkable, I had a spectacular experience here yesterday. I've never had a bad experience with them, never tried something I didn't love. The Kitchen has an excellent Profiteroles, this dish will blow you away with its outstanding taste and flavor. The staff are so friendly and nice, it makes coming here fun. Can not recommend them enough.

FOOD POISONING Made my wife sick as a dog the other day. She ordered a breakfast burrito with avocado and I thought I was going to have to take her to the emergency room. And FYI if you order waffles you do t get syrup and apparently you don't get forks and napkins either.

I placed an order through seamless last night, the 20-30 min delivery was a major reason why we decided to go with this place...order was placed literally at 7:59pm and I received notification my order was received and IT WAS GOING TO BE DELIVERED AT 9:05-9:15, ummmm what happened to the 20-30 min delivery time that the app said? Fine, we waited ONE HOUR...then another ten min and still nothing (mind you it's not like this place is 20 miles away, it's less than a mile away) so we called them...they said the food was out for delivery and when my husband complained about us receiving cold food whoever he was talking to said not to worry, they put it in a food warmer. Literally got the food and the driver was trying to blame grub hub saying they had only received the order 20 minutes ago....really? so why was our food like lukewarm? And I clearly stated no onions on my food and it still had onions. I would've given you guys the one star but then I received a phone call at 10:30pm back to back to back and when I finally answered all I heard was something about the kitchen and our food. I was half asleep and just hung up. I would've given you guys another chance, but it's hard to believe you never received the food order when I received notification that you guys confirmed it was received.

My boyfriend & I's go to spot. Today we ordered the Mexican chorizo burrito (new item!), taco salad, munchie fries and sweet potato fries. The delivery was quick and everything was delicious! My boyfriend is ADDICTED to the sweet potato fries (and the G4 sandwich). They are always adding new items to their menu, and you can tell from their staff and social media/instagram that they are passionate about their food. See you again soon Kitchen!!

Just finished the most delicious meal from here ...I got the curry chip and fried rice and my husband got chicken tacos ...nothing is left ...not only that but the kitchen is very reasonably priced, a business that understands people want good food that won't break the bank. Thank you for giving a busy mama a break

My husband and I eat here just about everyday! I love the pulled pork mac and cheese and my husband usually gets the Irish 3 in 1. Every once in a while they do a great Chinese menu that we love! & there mexican food options taste so authentic! I highly recommend this spot.

They took our order and never delivered the food. We ordered a lot of food and the processed the order but never delivered

I recently brought friends here and they loved it too. The fish burger, truffle Mac n cheese, and truffle Mac n Cheese burger were all delicious. Go to The Kitchen if you want to seem cool to your friends.

Worst place to order from, wish I could give them negative stars. Order never got to me, called to ask about order person was extremely rude and didn't help. Never order from here, just horrible. As to the owner stating it was canceled, yes after almost 2 hours of no delivery and ok it's past the delivery area why is it on delivery to my area? Also I tried calling the restaurant myself first and no reply, you can come up with the excuses you like but you are wrong. Don't state what you don't know, it's not about the refund it's about your restaurants poor service and communication. Thank you very much.

Food isn't bad. But they delivery is consistently sooooooooo slow. And they do not reach out to let you know they have issues with delivery staff and set proper expectations. It's not cool to wait 90 mins for delivery 3 miles away only to call to follow up and be told it's on its way and then have to wait an additional 30-45. I have to be prepared to wait upwards of two hours if I want to eat their food.

Let me start by saying there food is amazing I'm jus a lil upset that the spice fries was really tough. I felt like i was tugging on the chicken because it was to tough.. but over all great spot.. jus need to get the chicken fixed. And the girl tht was the cashier superior customer service..i think her name was Leiah

Hubby got the spicy tacos and he said they were amazing. He wishes they were bigger. None the less it's his new taco spot. The fries was good too!

The Irish style chicken curry is amazing, taco chips are also good. They open til 1am which is good.

Chicken fillet rolls...nom nom nom. We popped in for a quick bite last Sunday, and the girl behind the counter was super friendly and accommodating which is rare nowadays (management - she's a keeper). We'll be back.

A few weeks ago we ordered from The Kitchen but opted for pick up instead of delivery. Order was ready within 15-20 min. Quality is still decent--particularly the sinfully good fries. We also recommend the burgers, especially the salmon burger. The new menu features healthier options, including a broader selection of salads. When I picked up our order, there weren't any updated delivery menus ready yet. Hopefully, there will be soon. Speaking of delivery, recent reviews indicate it's still not great. Hope this changes in the future.

Delivery only review: always later than estimated waiting period of an hour and hot food has been varying levels of cool each time (we've ordered about 4 times now due to convenience--only of the only places that's open late).. We've tried to cancel within minutes of ordering once when a non-vegan friend was joining and they refused, saying the delivery was out when they didn't have to even make it yet

The Kitchen is one of the finest places for takeout in the entire Woodlawn and McLean area. They have a great menu of delicious sandwiches. I've tried almost all of them, and never been disappointed. I also strongly recommend their french fries -- perfectly crisp with just a tiny bit of spice. I honestly think they have the best fries ("chips") in the neighborhood. They also have an assortment of healthy options that actually taste good (salads, smoothies, etc.), which is a nice addition to the usual takeout style. And, on the complete opposite end of healthy, their profiteroles must be tried! But in addition to the high quality of the food they serve, Jackie and Lucas (the owners) asked to meet with the board of the Woodlawn Taxpayers when they took over this location, to get advice on ways their restaurant could be a good neighbor to the residents of Woodlawn. They specifically want to help keep Woodlawn a great place to live. I'll be a faithful customer every day, just for that fact. The Kitchen is a great addition to Woodlawn!
