The Knot Sapporo (Sapporo, Hokkaido Prefecture) 1 Verified Reviews | Tablet Hotels

"In the heart of the city of Sapporo, the Knot is a boutique hotel that feels both urban and rural. It’s dedicated to the idea of Sapporo as a city surrounded by nature, and its aesthetic, accordingly, is one part big-city loft style and one part rugged and rustic. There’s a touch of àpres-ski vibe in the lobby lounge, and many of the rooms feature walls made from local cedar. Les Bois is the name of the lounge restaurant, the venue for everything from breakfast to late-night dinner and drinks, and also in the building is a Seicomart convenience store and Senshuan, a famous local confectionery." - Tablet Hotels

Very disappointing experience. The rooms and location are indeed ideal, however the service at the hotel was hostile. Guests are unable to enjoy the lobby without paying a service charge for sitting, and simple requests were difficult. We asked for a spoon to eat some yogurt in our room, and were told no. We also wanted a cup of tea, and had a problem getting cups to take back to our room. Throughout our stay we felt like an imposition on the staff. Do not stay here. You can do better in Sapporo. It’s a waste of a lovely facility.

Front staff have been placing smile on their face and attempted to show friendliness. However, we had issue with the breakfast attendance taking when we booked 6 rooms but it is claimed that children are not included: 1. In the original booking with booking.com, there is no mention of children are excluded from breakfast. 2. Staff are in a mess, not systematic, when taking in breakfast attendance for our 6 rooms while argued that it has been taken while some of us did not. More disappointing is the so-called manager named Sasaya (long hair) manager handled the matter worse, giving her upset face and did not politely settle the issue. The staff were also found gossiping in Japanese about the troublesome customers of other nationalities. 3. Breakfast is not buffet kind and comes with same 3 options of small portions within the same month. As we are staying for 8 nights, we are eating the same options of breakfast again and again each day. However, The location of the hotel is superb as it is located middle of most attractions with shorter walking distance. The hotel lift is accessible at B1, to pole town directly which makes it convenience to travel via subway, especially when the weather is super cold outside. Hotel rooms are comfortable and look modern.

Loved my stay here! Rooms are a little smaller than usual but extremely well maintained and very cosy. This is a new property and it shows in every aspect. They have a chic modern woody vibe which I loved 😍 Breakfast was not too varied but was super high quality. Heartily recommend.

We stayed 3 nights in this hotel, perfect location in the main Susukino area, access underground shopping street and mrt station directly. The room was average spacious but fusion with good quality. Heard about complaint of their staffs from several review but luckily, we were good and actually, their staffs were quite helpful.

The location is indeed good, but the service was extremely disappointing. My family stayed for several nights and booked multiple rooms. On the first day, breakfast was fine. However, on the second day, we were told that our breakfasts had already been taken and that there were none left according to their count. We repeatedly explained that the count was incorrect and that a mistake had been made by the staff. However, we were told that the previous staff member had already ended their shift and that, based on the records, there was no remaining balance. Despite our continued explanations, the staff member contacted her so-called manager, Sasaya. I initially thought the issue would be resolved, but unfortunately, it was not. The manager spoke even louder and said that if we wanted breakfast, we had to pay for it. In reality, we were not insisting on the breakfast itself; we simply wanted the situation to be handled correctly. Eventually, she reluctantly agreed to provide one extra breakfast but did so with an extremely unpleasant attitude. I was very disappointed, as we had stayed at the hotel for several nights, yet the situation made us feel as though we were trying to cheat the hotel for a free breakfast. On the following day, another mistake occurred, but I chose not to argue again. To make matters worse, we overheard staff referring to us in Japanese as “the troublesome group” before serving us. Overall, despite the good location, the service experience was unacceptable and left us feeling disrespected.

Great location. Close to everything. Rooms are spacious relatively. We stayed at a deluxe room with view of the street. Very friendly crew! Only big big issue is the WiFi connectivity. It's super super slow. You can't even play a YouTube clip without pausing every few minutes. Frankly this could be a show stopper for people like me who needs to work on social media for editing and uploading after a long day. It's is really horrible. Hope the hotel will fix this ! Otherwise it is a perfect hotel for the price it charges for casual travellers. Hope the hotel reads this and take this as a feedback for improvement!

I stayed at The Knot Sapporo with my husband during the 2024 Snow Festival. We splurged for the Deluxe King room and had no regrets. The extra square footage made it easier to relax, and the view was spectacular, especially at night. The bathroom, furniture, and decor were all great as well — modern, comfortable, and clean. The location was one of the main reasons I chose this hotel, and it fully met my expectations. There's an entrance from the basement floor into the underground shopping mall, which was really convenient, and we were able to easily walk to the festival area as well as restaurants, stores, and metro stations. The staff was really helpful any time we needed something. We arrived one day later than expected due to an issue with our train from Hakodate, and I had trouble reaching the hotel by phone. I ended up emailing the contact listed in my reservation confirmation, and I received a prompt reply reassuring me that our reservation would be kept and that our room would be ready when we arrived. As promised, everything was ready to go when we got there the following morning, so we were able to get started on sightseeing right away. Strong recommend for this hotel and for this neighborhood.

Clean room. Entire hotel is non smoking. 4 pillows per room. Cool aircon but pity the window cannot be opened for cool autumn fresh air. Fast WiFi but no YouTube on TV. Strong hot shower pressure. Disposable slippers too small for men's feet. Location is right at shopping street Dusukino. There is a basement link to hotel so don't need to go ground level especially if you are carrying heavy luggage.
