THE KNOT TOKYO Shinjuku (Tokyo, Tokyo) 3 Verified Reviews | Tablet Hotels

"Occupying a front-row view of Shinjuku Central Park’s shrines and footpaths, and not too far from the acres of traditional Japanese, English and French gardens at Shinjuku Gyo-en, the Knot is a very urban boutique hotel with access to some of Tokyo’s most verdant outdoor spaces. Rooms are minimalist and sober, featuring a palette of deep blues and grays, and some have park views. The Morethan Tapas Lounge features inspired cocktails and occasionally a DJ for after-work get-togethers. Morethan Bakery offers fuss-free breakfasts and lunches, while Morethan Grill’s menu pairs continental standbys with carefully prepared Japanese specialities. The Knot recommends bike rental for easy access to the area’s shrines, parks, shopping, and other attractions." - Tablet Hotels

Overall, a nice stay! The hotel is well located, about a 30 minute walk to the city center, and the area is quiet. The rooms are a decent size and comfortable. They also offer Yamato luggage delivery services, which made traveling a lot easier. The only downside was the housekeeping policy. The listing says daily housekeeping, but upon arrival, we were told it’s only done every 3 days. During our 5 day stay, the room was cleaned only once, which feels a bit insufficient for the price and for a higher end hotel. It would be better if they were upfront about it. Otherwise, everything else was great!

Upscale and quiet area of Shinjuku across from a park. Great ambiance! The lobby vibe; music, large table and seating with power, the multicultural guests, and the BAKERY with vegan options make The Knot a win. The staff is friendly, attentive and helpful. Rooms, even the Superior queen, are TINY but immaculate. Despite this, I'd stay at the Knot over and over again! Recommend.

great hotel. we were at this hotel for 4 days and it's a very nice spot. the bakery and the restaurant downstairs make the lobby very lively. the rooms are very cozy, and perfectly sized. I highly recommend!

The location of the hotel is phenomenal if you prefer to live in a quiet/more calm area. Very safe and everything is walking distance - from train stations to buses to konbinis to restaurants! The hotel itself is very clean and very well organized. The staff is bilingual and very friendly and ready to help (they assisted with luggage transfer to our next location). The room is small and compact - perfect for a good night of rest in a AC environment. You can also do some laundry which was much needed! Theres also a restaurant and and a bakery with very delicious food! 10/10 would come back!

Tiny room. Hear the footsteps from upstairs. Only one side table. Tiny bathroom. Too far from any station. Would not recommend. Stayed at Via Prime Inn Akasaka for $30 USD more per night and with a fantastic onsen. Good bakery downstairs though.

This is very much a "three star" hotel. The website's pictures are misleading. The rooms are VERY small, which is to be expected of Tokyo, but feel more cramped than other hotels in Tokyo of comparable price. The rooms are also not very sound-proofed. You can hear conversations of people walking down the hallway. The amenities are ok. There is laundry in the hotel but only 3 machines, and they can only handle small loads of laundry at a time otherwise you will require repeated loads to dry your clothes.

Hotel is located in a great area with a nice park just across the street. The staff are lovely, the rooms are clean and reasonably sound proofed. However there’s no free WiFi at the hotel which is so strange as lots of public areas around Tokyo have free WiFi and it’s cheap. The temperature control in the rooms doesn’t seem to be able to be adjusted either. You can change the desired temperature but nothing really happens.

Good vibes at the lobby, but too far from the Shinjiuku station(20 mins by foot). There’s a nice western style bakery, and very good service at the reception but the bathroom can feel cheap for the price we payed and we did not like that the room was not clean every day.
