We had a fantastic 10 day stay at The L with our 1 year old & entended family. 4 stars because the facility is a little tired, but everything otherwise excellent! Michel & his team/all staff we had contact with were consistently friendly & helpful, the place is kept very clean, delicious daily breakfast with great variety, lovely pool area with one pool shaded from early afternoon, daily room service (we appreciated this so much!! Loved the creative towel animals). Good central location, Beach just across the road, restaurants & shops in both directions. Cot provided for our daughter + were able to store our pram downstairs, staff helpful when our daughter needed medical attention. Great value. Highly recommend!

Lovely staff all very polite and helpful, service with a smile. Well done!!!

The hotel's location is very strategic, with the beach just a short walk away. The General Manager was helpful, advising us on the best time to depart from the hotel on the day of our check-out due to Songkran, when the roads were busy. Despite its central location in Ao Nang, I was able to have a good night's rest, perhaps aided by the quieter streets during Eid. My only critique would be the presence of limescale throughout the bathroom, making it challenging to fully enjoy the amenities, particularly the jacuzzi. I was really excited to try out the jacuzzi, but due to the limescale build-up, the water wasn't able to flow out properly, and what little did flow out was filled with other debris, which grossed me out a little. Nevertheless, I still think this hotel is worth it, and I would recommend it to friends and family if they ever decide to visit Krabi

Part 1 The L Resort Too much to say for 1 review. First let me start by saying I have been to Ao Nang on 9 previous holidays and stayed at 4 other hotel/resorts all within a 3km radius of the L Resort. Usually, we go for 14-16 nights but this trip was a bit last minute and only for 9 nights so we decided rather than doing our usual 3 Star budget friendly option we would splurge a little and go 4 Star. I have never been so happy for a holiday to come to an end. I will start with the positives, most of the staff were friendly and cheerful and did their best with what they must work with. I say most because the behaviour we witnessed from what I can only assume was the Hotel Services Manager & Restaurant Manager can only be described as poor & unprofessional at best. The location is both a positive and a negative, being right on the main road means easy access to everything but it also comes with all the noise from clubs and bars, which is at its worst from 10pm until 3am…if you don’t sleep with ear plugs don’t expect to get any sleep at this resort and if the noise isn’t enough to keep you awake then the concrete slab they call a bed will ensure you either never sleep. We were booked into the Premium Suite on the 4th floor, which by the way you can’t access using the 1 & only lift which only services 1 half of the resort – if you are in the other wing you either take the lift to the 3rd floor and walk half way round to the other side and then up a flight of stairs or have to traverse the pool area then up 4 flights of stairs – not good enough when you paying almost AU$300 per night!! The room service menu is large and a carbon copy of the restaurant. When you order it arrives in good time except its luke warm at best because they don’t use plate covers or anything else to keep the food warm and given where we were located in relation to the kitchen/restaurant the food has been transported on an open tray half way round the resort so apart from getting cold its also exposed to the elements and all manner of bugs on the journey to your room. Considering this is an SHA accredited hotel it has either never been rechecked for its hygiene standards since gaining that accreditation or it’s all a farce! Which was made evident when my wife ordered the chicken with Cashews in Curry Sauce on our 5th night and still has non-stop vomiting and diarrhoea 6 days after we returned home! They do not provide napkins or servette’s just tissue’s and that is even in the restaurant, which are useless for wiping your hands or face. The buffet breakfast is mediocre at best and don’t let the word Ham on the menu fool you this is a no pork product resort so no bacon or ham for breakfast or any other meal! When my wife enquired as to why there was no bacon for breakfast the Hotel Manager told her it was because they had a lot of Muslims. Not only are 94.6% of Thai people Buddhist we also only saw 1 identifiable Muslim in the whole 9 days and that was a friend of the restaurant manger they came and had breakfast with her on a couple of mornings. The “hot” food was in cloches with nothing more than tea light candles underneath at a poor attempt to keep it warm. The only thing that made the juice drinkable was the pot of ice next to the juice station otherwise it would have been warm also. On more than 1 morning we witnessed the Hotel services manager walk into the buffet pick food up with his hands and eat it as he walked around choosing what he wanted next, the only other time we saw him out from behind the front desk was when he was sitting outside the lobby smoking. This was much the same for the restaurant manager she would come in each morning with a friend, get her breakfast sit and eat it then proceed to the chairs outside the lobby and smoke. Not once did she engage with any guests or even her own staff. So, trust me when I say if you want a miserable, uncomfortable holiday then book here otherwise I suggest you run a mile!

It's nice and in a good position, comfortable rooms, the staff is welcoming and the breakfast is good. However, one of the pools smelled like a sewer and while it is clean and definitely sufficient it is also a slightly aged building. I would definitely recommend but expect some minor disappointments.

Everything was perfect. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The resort restaurant serves Halal food. The beach is very close to the resort. Great location. This is my third time at this resort. I will definitely come again.

As part of my better half’s 59th birthday we traveled to Krabi /Phuket and We stayed at Ao nang Krabi for a day after three days at Railay beach and were looking for a comfortable hotel on Ao nang beach accessible directly by long tailed boat from west railay After some research we decided on The L resort and boy were we glad we did. Right from the initial mail infraction and prompt and helpful response from me Michel assuring us till the time we checked in we were delighted by their hospitality We were given a spacious ,comfortable room on the 4th floor with a huge balcony with pool and sea view and they tastefully decorated the bed to welcome us . The beach and Ao nag promenade is right outside and so is the Reeve club where the special fire show takes place Their breakfast siread was perhaps the best we had in our entire Thailand trip We did not use the pools but they thoughtfully provided us with beach /sea towels to take with us when we went to the beach to swim and see the beautiful sunset . In the morning we also covered the Monkey trail which is at the other end of the Overall a delightful experience indeed .
