The Laguna, a Luxury Collection Resort & Spa, Nusa Dua, Bali

It was our first time in Bali and we traveled a long way so I did a lot of research on the best luxury resort for our needs (beach, food, service, location, cleanliness, value). The Laguna checked off all the boxes but the staff really makes this a 5-star experience. ||We were impressed with everyone we encountered, from housekeeping to gardener to security, pool guys and valet - everyone greets you and makes you feel special. The standouts among standouts were the Banyburu restaurant staff who remembered our names, our favorite tables, brought us special plates of fruit (Intan heard that I liked jackfruit so she had the kitchen prepare some for me and others also brought us treats) and always stopped by our table to chat. They were all great but I have to note Mang TD, Mila, Ade, Wari, Krisna, Ryanndika, Wari and Sukas who went out of their way to provide exceptional service. Angga at the belldesk was also so gracious when we were leaving. ||The location is outstanding - we were able to walk 7 minutes to the Bali Collection (there’s a free shuttle each hour too) for shopping and spa treatments and the white sand beach is gorgeous, as well as the many (7) pools. ||They provide entertainment each evening I think and we were able to walk along the beach path each evening after dinner (very safe). ||We made good use of the gym each day. We were on the half board plan (outstanding value with a dinner buffet each night) but there are also quite a few restaurants in the shopping center and along the beach. The food here is delicious with so many choices at the buffet for breakfast and dinner that it was staggering! ||Lastly, I’ve never seen a cleaner resort. The rooms, pools and grounds are immaculate. We’re glad we chose this resort among many choices and can’t wait to return!

I stayed here with my sister (who has Titanium Elite status) for one night end of August 2025, & the service was outstanding from the moment we arrived! The staff were welcoming, quickly prepared our room, and even surprised us with a birthday setup including flowers, fruit, and desserts.||||Dinner at Arwana Restaurant was one of the highlights of our stay. The hotel reserved a perfect beachfront table through the Marriott Bonvoy, and the staff went above and beyond—modifying dishes so we could share, recommending the excellent Karangasem cocktail (award winning!), and surprising us with a fun birthday celebration.||||We also enjoyed cocktails at Kul Kul Beach House and de Bale Lounge & Bar, where Lilik’s service stood out after 33 years with the hotel. I enjoyed a spa treatment as well, and Purni was an excellent therapist. They have different specials offered at different times that are not on their main menu, so make sure to ask about them!||||The resort itself was beautiful, with multiple lagoons, beach loungers, and delciious breakfast service. More than anything, the genuine pride and happiness of the staff made the stay unforgettable. My sister even said it was the most relaxed she’s felt in years—which says it all.||||Highly recommend The Laguna for anyone visiting Bali.

We had an absolutely amazing time at The Laguna. The resort is stunning – beautiful pools, lush gardens, and direct access to the beach. Our room was spotless, comfortable, and very well designed. The restaurants offered delicious food with plenty of variety, and every meal was a highlight.||What really made our stay unforgettable was the staff. Everyone was warm, friendly, and went above and beyond to make us feel welcome. A very special thank you to Eka from the Sapphire Bar – her service was outstanding! She looked after us perfectly, always with professionalism and a big smile. Eka truly made our experience extra special.||Highly recommended!

This is our absolute favorite hotel in Bali. It has a fantastic number of pools – including saltwater pools and even pools with sand, which are perfect for children. The ocean here is excellent, and there are plenty of quiet areas where you can relax without being disturbed. The only downside is that the food has declined over the past few months (they have changed food team leader); it used to be much better. However, the hotel was completely renovated two years ago, so overall it leaves a very positive impression.

An Absolute Dream – Luxury, Beauty, and Pure Relaxation This is hands down one of the most amazing hotels we’ve ever stayed at. The property is incredibly luxurious and vast, with every corner — indoors and out — designed to wow you. The attention to detail, the elegance, and the connection to nature all make it feel like you’re in your own tropical palace. The entire Nusa Dua area feels extremely safe and peaceful, and the resort doubles down on that — it’s a haven of calm, where you can truly unwind. And the staff? Absolutely wonderful. Every single person we encountered was friendly, helpful, and genuinely warm. It makes such a difference. We stayed in the Lagoon Access Room, and let me just say — totally worth it. Being able to step right into the pool from your room, then back inside for a towel, drink, or snack from the fridge? Game-changer. It’s luxury on your terms, whenever you want it. You’ve also got quick access to the private beach, which is stunning and perfect for a lazy afternoon or morning walk. And don’t overlook the other pools across the resort — all beautifully maintained and offering something unique depending on the vibe you’re after. If you’re considering a stay here, stop thinking and book it. It’s that good.
