I highly recommend this beautiful guest house if you’d like somewhere reasonably priced, welcoming, stylish and comfortable, for a stay in Hastings Old Town. ||The rooms are pristinely clean, gorgeously decorated and furnished, with provisions of a good choice of complimentary teas and coffees. There is an honesty bar (with fridge), alcoholic and nonalcoholic beverages, chocolate and crisps. ||The breakfast was delicious, included in the price of the room and set us up for the day, we didn’t need to eat until the evening. The table was beautifully laid, the breakfast room was bright and airy with lovely views towards the East Cliff. ||Karen and Malcolm are great hosts. They were so welcoming and have some great stories to tell. ||I bought some of the amazing products they provide for use in the bathroom. Karen is knowledgeable and helped me find the right products for my hair.

I stayed in their Yellow Room for work. It was without question one of the very best places I have stayed - and I travel a lot for work. Beautiful, comfortable, and full of thoughtful touches - from the decor to the toiletries, the food and available bar. This place is very special. Classy but understated. The warmth and friendliness of the owners simply underline just how unique this place is. Worth every single penny and situated in the heart of beautiful Hastings Old Town.

What a wonderful find, The Laindons is a 5* gem in the heart of the old town of Hastings, close to the shops and cafes and a stone's throw from the beach and promenade. The East Cliff lift is a short walk away. Our room was lovely, sparklingly clean, beautifully decorated with a comfortable bed, armchairs to relax in, and basically absolutely everything you would need for a weekend stay. The attention to detail is second to none....lovely toiletries, robes, fluffy towels, sleep spray, full tea/coffee table, fresh milk, an honesty bar, and much much more. And breakfast was simply delicious and as fresh as could be with locally sourced ingredients, all served by the most lovely friendly people. There is a lounge for guests and a myriad of eclectic interesting decorative features to discover. Parking was easy, there's a car park just behind the house, and a permit is supplied covering the hours of 4pm-11am and the car park uses the Ringo app so you can top up the extra daytime hours without even being nearby. We just left the car where it was and used local buses to get around when we wanted to go further afield. Would recommend The Laindons to anyone, we loved it

The Laindons is in a perfect quiet location. |Our exceptionally spacious room had many beautiful touches of extra comfort. The superb breakfasts are served in a lovely bright conservatory on the first upper floor. We loved the sumptuously comfortable and relaxing lounge with its excellent honesty bar area. Malcolm and Karen have created somewhere very special in heart of Hastings Old Town.

What a very special property, and what a very lovely couple in Karen and Malcolm!||This beautiful property sits in a ancient street of fascinating architectural styles, and is packed full of peiod features. It is stuffed with lovely art and objects and an absolute treat to spend time in. ||We stayed two nights in the Green Room overlooking the street. It was super comfortable and full of cosy touches. I'm a very light sleeper and did find a few street noises distracting, and there was a little light creeping through the beautiful shutters but the hosts have already countered that with a little box containing an eye mask and ear plugs; using these was totally worth it for such an exceptional location. It really was a little like living in a movie set!||Other reviewers have mentioned The Breakfast - interesting, thoughtful dishes beautifully presented and delicious! Also lovely coffee, tea and biscuits in our room.||The team very thoughfully called us after my daughter left something behind, and kindly posted it on too. ||The Laindons is so exceptional it is a reason to visit Hastings in itself. Do it now!
