Wow, where do I even start? From the moment I met Kelly, I knew we were in the best hands. She was so kind, patient, and thoughtful. Every step of planning our wedding at The Stagecoach Inn was smooth, easy, and truly enjoyable. On the wedding day itself, the entire team went above and beyond to curate the most beautiful, seamless environment. Their attention to detail and genuine care made the day absolutely magical. We are forever grateful that we chose The Stagecoach Inn for our wedding — it was everything we dreamed of and more. It’s a day we will cherish for the rest of our lives.

Wonderful stay. Great location with top notch food and drink. Be sure to make a reservation to eat there. The host, Samantha, was very helpful and responsive. All staff made us feel at home. Couple of suggestions— our bathroom was cramped and the shower was not easy to use as one has to step over the side of claw tub and pull a circular curtain around oneself. Very little counter top space either. || All in all, we loved staying there and would stay there again. Thank you for the hospitality.

Great stay of 3 nights at The Stagecoach Inn! Samantha is a wonderful hostess. Rooms are comfortable with a big front porch to relax on. Dining is superb- make dinner reservations ahead of time. Zach and Lilly can make a very enjoyable cocktail. Enjoy!

Wow! That basically sums it up! Beautiful cabin to rent; location is perfect; has everything and more you would possibly need; remarkably clean; comfortable; cozy; relaxing; insanely comfy beds; awesome shower; the indoor fireplace made it more beautiful being it was raining the night of our stay; and the owner was incredibly friendly and helpful - and available when I had to contact her!!!! (Unheard of these days to have someone actually answer the phone!) We totally enjoyed our stay here and will definitely be back. This was one of the nicest places I have stayed in quite some time; I didn't want to leave!

Our first visit to this inn and OH MY we absolutely loved everything about our stay. The rooms are lovely … comfortable and with all the sweetest Adirondack-y accoutrements. The porch is PERFECT for sitting and reading … with blankets for chilly nights and mornings. We enjoyed a couple drinks in their bar and had the most wonderful breakfast on the porch. The staff are remarkably welcoming and accommodating. This Inn is simply stellar and we very much look forward to returning!

Google
What an amazing place! Super romantic and cozy with the most delicious food we have eaten during our stay in Lake Placid (and the bar has been high). Hearty fine dining with creativity and a little flair! The service was amazing throughout and it feels like there's one big happy family working there in a very genuine way. I'm gluten free and there were plenty of things for me, and the mocktails were delightful. Loved meeting the owner Kellie too - what a lovely lovely lady! We will be back for sure. And hopefully we can stay!

There are so many reasons we would come back to the excellent Stagecoach Inn.|--Terrific restaurant (the optional dinner was one of the best meals we've ever had, with a desert so astonishingly fine we regretted we don't live nearby; staff was sensitive to dietary needs; and the included breakfasts creative and superb).|--The innkeeper, Samantha Schultz, made us feel like we had come back home.|--Easy parking and situated well for day trips. Surprisingly quiet given the nearby road.|--Our room (a suite, really) was comfortable and spacious, with a separate sitting area and couch bed for an additional guest, if needed.|We are so grateful!

Our stay at the Stagecoach Inn was so so special. I have stayed in many hotels over the years for work and for leisure, and the Stagecoach Inn was such a beautiful place to rest our heads. It was a stay that showed me what real, heartfelt hospitality looks like which is so refreshing in the age of so many cookie-cutter hotels out there.||The gorgeous little Inn feels historic yet new all at the same time. ||We were able to bring our two Australian shepherds, which is a dream! They were welcomed as warmly as we were, and the owner, Kelly, became their new favorite person after just two days. Heck, she became our favorite person, too!||We spent a long June weekend away that felt like home. We loved having the beautiful trails of Henry’s Woods right outside our door — the dogs were spoiled by all of the exploring we could do without needing to drive anywhere. We left already wanting to come back. And we WILL be back for leaf peeping season! ||The restaurant absolutely lives up to the rave reviews — every dish was just THAT good. It’s hard to put your finger on why it’s so special; you’ll have to experience it yourself. Do yourself a favor and get it ALL. The apps, the entrees, the desserts, the cocktails -- if there was ever a place to splurge + have a "cheat day" it's the restaurant at Stagecoach Inn. I can see how much thought goes into creating their menus. Chef William was born to do what he does. You’re in for an incredible dining experience and a stay that’ll warm your soul!!

Yelp
Top notch service and hospitality. It's an old inn so we tempered expectations appropriately. Room was small. It's a bed & breakfast and the breakfasts were excellent. When coffee is served in a French press I know we're on the right track! Bar cocktails were impressive. We wanted to stay for a dinner one evening but they were sold out both nights. Too bad. We wouldn't return but that's more a reflection of our expectations than anything else.

Yelp
Wonderful cozy ambiance with authentic ADK vibe. Tiny bar where bartender really knows her stuff. Chef is talented and smallish menu always has some interesting local fare to offer. Small, so hard to get a reservation. Pricey, but worth it.

Yelp
Great service, nice cozy space, tasty food. A tad bit overpriced but the space, place and service made up for it. As did 2 bottles of a full bodied red wine!

Jaimie R.

Yelp
Review for Restaurant only! All the entrees were around $40-$50 and appetizers $16-$19 Some of the food is good but definitely not worth the price point. The duck rillette $18 (crispy duck served over fried polenta) was soggy by the time it came to the table. The flavors were very one note and heavy. The mushroom puff pasty was good (sweet and savory) but nothing special. The scallops were very delicious, seared nicely. The lamb was very meh, bland and I thought the polenta was heavy yet unseasoned. We were not asked how we wanted the lamb cooked. The ambiance of the place was super cozy and inviting. Overall for 2 people the bill was around $170 with no drinks. For the price I expected better execution on the food, and more elevated dishes.

Yelp
This review is for their restaurant portion. This is a hidden gem! I can't say enough great things about the dinning experience here. We were in town for a quick trip and stumbled on Stagecoach for a fine dining experience. Our server was kind enough to setup music outside after calling to let her know we also had to bring our puppy with us. We had the beet salad for appetizer with a Riesling wine and Equilibrium beer (their beer menu is LEGIT if you're a beer lover!). It was the best beet salad we've had and we love to get this at restaurants! Everything from their beer/wine menu to the main entree and liquid desserts were spectacular. The ingredients they use in their dishes are fresh and mainly local so their menu is constantly changing. We will have to make a stop whenever we're back in the area and see what other new ideas the chef has! We can't say enough great things about them and their staff. We felt so welcomed and taken care of, we will definitely be recommending this place to our family and friends!

Yelp
We were excited to have dinner at Stagecoach Inn, but didn't really know what to expect. The space is gorgeous and cozy, feels very ADK. Our server was attentive and informative, and the food? WOW. It was probably the best meal I've ever had. Perfectly tender steak, amazing appetizers and sides, and the dessert that was made to order was DIVINE. Since our first time, we visit every trip we take to LP. It's the first reservation we make when heading to Lake Placid. Don't miss this gem.

Yelp
Hands down some of the best food I've ever had. Everything from the unique cocktails, appetizers (get the mushroom pastry AND cheese curds), entrees, and desserts were truly the best. Also have very nice people and the chef is in incredibly nice guy and extremely talented. Definitely check this place out when you're in lake placid -- it's worth it.

Yelp
What a beautiful place. We had an incredible dinner (salmon, duck and chicken and each were so well executed and the sauces!). The chef and staff show great love and care to deliver a wonderful experience from start to finish. The historic and cozy atmosphere made this a rare and elegant evening. Highly recommend treating yourself to the experience of The Stage Coach Inn and Restaurant. Thank you!!

Yelp
The dinner at the Stagecoach restaurant was fantastic. The airline chicken and the rabbit leg entrees were so delicious. You are missing out if you do not eat here. Wonderful!

Elise B.

Yelp
We stayed four nights at Stagecoach Inn and would absolutely come back for more. What an incredible quaint inn! The staff was incredibly friendly and the service was excellent. We ate two nights at their restaurant and were completely blown away! The food was amazing! Bonus! They did a great job acknowledging and accommodating my nut allergies.

Jerome S.

Yelp
This was the best meal I've had in a long time, and it is easily among the best I've ever had! The menu was inventive, the service was attentive, and the execution was flawless. Throw in the ambience and it can't be beat. This was my first visit, but it sure won't be my last.

Yelp
The finest food experience we have had in Lake Placid in a long time!!! Chef Bill Darr is a seriously talented dude!!! And Mike & Stacia don't miss anything..... Thank you for a great experience, Mike & Lori

Yelp
My wife and I went to the Stagecoach Inn for dinner, and it was one of the best meals we've ever had. We are locals to Lake Placid, but migrated from Manhattan a year ago, so trying to find a high quality farm to table restaurant is difficult in the ADK. There are just a few spots we regularly dine at and the Stagecoach Inn will be added to that list! We consider ourselves foodies, and very much appreciate high quality food - this place was nothing short of spectacular. We had a curry cauliflower and sweet potato dish and the flavors were incredible. They have a tremendous wine selection as well. The service was outstanding, staff was so friendly and accomodating. We had a drink at the small bar before dinner, and the cocktail menu was diverse and inventive. This is best kept secret in the ADK, and we can't wait to go back. Thank you Stagecoach Inn!!!

Yelp
My parents spent their 25th wedding anniversary at Stage Coach Inn in July 2020 and had an excellent experience! The restored rooms were comfortable, cozy, and clean. While the charming decor of the inn made my mom feel like she was in a movie. The innkeepers are extremely friendly and do an amazing job at many different things... to quote my mom, "Lacy rocked the specialty cocktails before dinner!" Chef Rob called before their visit to ask if they wanted to try out some dishes they're thinking about adding to their pending dinner menu. And my parents raved about the food they were served; especially the greens salad with puff pastry goat cheese croutons and a soup with black pepper whipped cream. Breakfast was just as rave worthy and the Eggs Benedict with salmon was delicious. They loved the enthusiasm that Chef Rob presented his food with and can't wait to return when the kitchen is open for dinner. Stage Coach Inn made their anniversary something to talk about and they hope to return in the winter.

Yelp
My first bed and breakfast experience and I don't think I can turn back now. The stagecoach inn is truly a gem in the middle of the Adirondack park. The staff and owners are incredibly accommodating and they have a fantastic happy hour. If you could imagine the quintessential historic cabin feel, charm, and hospitality... you've just imagined the stagecoach. Some of my favorite elements: 1. Firstly the people make this place on the top of my list for return 2. Homemade breakfasts in the morning 3. WiFi and updated rooms with tv and all of the comforts of home 4. hot cocoa by the fire (s'mores anyone?) 5. Local info on what to do around town 6. Location is excellent, off the main road but walkable to downtown and all of the nature trails 7. Rockin happy hour! Go visit the stagecoach, hit the slopes, enjoy some libations, keep warm and meet new friends. We will be back with a vengeance!

Trent M.

Yelp
I could not recommend the Stagecoach Inn more highly. We stayed with them in the summer of 2018 and again in 2021. On our second stay, we thought that it couldn't get any better than our first experience, but Zach, Brandon, and Donna went above and beyond to make my family and me feel like a part of their family. Thank you all!

Yelp
Booked the Stagecoach Inn last minute for my partner's birthday getaway and it was so perfect. I can't even believe a place like this exists. Wonderful hosts, great cocktails, a better breakfast, all making you feel at home and special. I can't wait to be back to this cozy getaway again and again.

Jen T.

Yelp
Visited the inn a couple weeks ago - it was absolutely gorgeous. Donna went above and beyond in making sure we had a great stay. You can tell the owners really care about attention to detail from the decor. Definitely would recommend / come back.

Yelp
Lovely place to stay and relax. Breakfast time was a full breakfast. Wonderful accommodations. If I could I'd give more stars.

Yelp
We are seasoned travelers to Lake Placid, having stayed in years past at the Whiteface Lodge, Lake Placid Lodge and Mirror Lake Inn. In our estimation, Lake Placid Stagecoach Inn is PHENOMENAL, due in large part to the inestimable innkeepers Lacy and Rob. They go above and BEYOND to ensure that each guest feels welcomed, comfortable and with every need met. Rob is an expert chef who is thoughtful in planning out savory and sweet 3-course breakfasts. In the morning, Lacy offers yoga; she is a world-class instructor with a calming presence. In the evenings, the couple work hard to ensure that we had ample space for a game of cards or board games while they kept the bar hopping with drinks on request. Oh - and did I mention there's a happy hour AND the rooms are spotless and lovely?

Yelp
Just leaving this morning after the most wonderful three days! My expectations were completely blown out of the water from the beginning to the end. We did the elopement package and stayed at The bear den right down the road from the main inn and it was absolutely wonderful! Couldn't say enough good things about everyone who works at stagecoach: Stacia and Michael were so wonderful and hospitable they even helped with our entire elopement and came up on the mountain to join and help us! Laina at the front desk was so sweet and had tons of pointers of trails and where to go in town. Zach the inn keeper was absolutely spectacular he was so hospitable and knowledgeable about the foods and drinks at the inn and was so nice to talk to. Brandon the chef makes the most amazing flavorful food you can taste the thought and love he puts into his work - we had a three course dinner with a wine pairing also came with a dessert and a handcrafted cocktail that Zach put together for us! I could go on and on about the stagecoach. We are so sad to leave but so blown away and happy by the experience we had and the people we met. Thank you all so much for making our special day absolutely precious and lovely. We can't wait to make our way back. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts!

Stacey W.

Yelp
Our stay at the Stagecoach Inn was the perfect respite after a long and busy trip. The inn is a quaint, older building and the rooms and common areas are well appointed with quality linens and all the little extras you might need like board games or blankets to sit by the fire. The wrap around porch and outdoor patio and fire pit offer great outdoor space as well. The service was top notch. The breakfast was delicious and included optional coffee service to your room. Zach takes excellent care of whatever you need and makes the.most.fantastic. cocktails. As him to play the game. You won't regret it.

Yelp
Absolutely a wonderful place to stay in Lake Placid! Mary Pat and Tony were wonderful hosts! The place itself had a beautiful woodsy charm. The rooms were large and comfortable and there were plenty of areas to sit and enjoy the fire. They offered a wine and cheese hour which consisted of a glass of wine and a beautiful spread of cheeses, olives and crackers. The cost was extremely reasonable and the breakfast alone was worth the stay! Mary Pat prepares a homemade Greek yogurt made with fresh milk, honey and cinnamon. Followed by this amazing yogurt treat with fresh fruit was a made to order "Irish Breakfast". This consisted of local meats (ham, sausage AND bacon) fluffy local eggs, homemade cornbread, challah bread, French toast with an apple compote, roasted potatoes and baked tomatoes with Parmesan cheese. They suggested wonderful hikes at Henry's Woods with gorgeous views at the summit as well as a fun trip to the wildlife refuge down the road. We couldn't have asked for a better first bed and breakfast vacation in Lake Placid. Amazing people with an amazing experience! Looking forward to our next stay!

Yelp
Wow! An unbelievable place to stay. Mary Pat and Tony "The Bobfather" were very welcoming and friendly. Mary Pat made great filling breakfasts. Both were very helpful in recommending where to go etc. Rooms are great. Just a very warm and cozy place to stay. Cant say enough about it. We will definitely be back!

Angela E.

Yelp
We had an excellent stay! The innkeepers, Lacy and Rob, are exceptional hosts and made us feel pampered throughout our stay. Cleanliness and covid-19 protocols were a clear priority at the property, followed by hosts and guests alike, and we felt very safe. The two-course breakfasts were absolutely delicious and we were lucky to enjoy an optional four-course dinners on our last night. Rob is an extremely talented chef and it was easily one of the best meals we had during our one week stay in the Lake Placid area - it is like having a top chef cooking you a private dinner at their home and a unique experience. The daily happy hour was also a treat and there were always beautiful spots to sit in the porch, garden, or living area of the property with plenty of social distancing. The fact that the inn is located very close (5 min drive) to town but not in the middle of town was a huge plus; it was a very good location to start from for our hiking and other day trips. Thank you for a beautiful stay!!!

Marianne O.

Yelp
We absolutely LOVED our stay at the Stagecoach Inn at the beginning of this month. It is a charming and cozy bed and breakfast which is very close to downtown Lake Placid. Every afternoon there is a happy hour with wine and snacks. It's a great time to meet and mingle with the other guests and the owners. The rooms are lovely, and the beds are super comfortable. The breakfast was amazing -- coffee, tea, juice, delicious pastries, bagels, homemade granola and yogurt with a side of beautiful variety of fruit. SO good! I wish we lived closer (we live in CA) so that we could stay at the Stagecoach Inn again. If anyone is coming to the Lake Placid area, this is the place to stay!!

Yelp
I'm not going to write a long review, for that you can check tripadvisor. However, this B&B was absolutely great. Can't recommend it enough.

Joel R.

Yelp
Had a very enjoyable stay, very comfortable bed and room. Owners extremely friendly and serve a great breakfast of homemade yogurt and fresh fruit along with fresh baked breakfast pastries. The location is close enough to downtown Lake Placid that it is easy to get there but removed enough that you have a quiet place.

Amber H.

Yelp
Am I truly the first person to review this place? I suppose it makes sense, as this is still an undiscovered gem. The oldest building in Lake Placid, this hotel has been restored over the last five years and at 120 - 300 / night is an incredible value. The only place that even comes close to their decor begins at 1000 / night, and I sincerely doubt that it would have the charm and ambience we found at the Stagecoach. As of 11/ 2010 their website is terrible - do not base your reservation on their dim photos or descriptions. Their gift is not marketing, but hosting. We were greeted with wine and cheese, awoke to fresh coffee and pastries and breakfast to order. The room was gorgeous, and the rest of the inn - which we felt perfectly comfortable lounging about in, was as well. For more reviews, check tripadvisor (it's how we found it). This place is really special.

John K.

Yelp
This is the nicest B and B we have ever stayed at. It's the oldest inn in lake placid but was totally redone in 2009. The owners Mary Pat and Tony are great hosts. They're always willing to tell you a story of the area and help you plan an outing and more importantly recommend and get you reservations at the tough places to get into. They know everybody in town I think. Breakfast is unbelievable. Home made breads, Irish breakfast, homemade yogurt with fresh berries and granola. You are so full after breakfast you aren't really hungry until late afternoon. Which is a good thing because that's when the wine, cheese and fruit are served. The beds are very comfortable. When the weather permits sitting on the front porch is a great way to spend a few restful hours. In cold weather the fireplace will work too. The house was warm and cozy even though it was minus 11 outside. One bit of advice though, the house has many antiques, this would not be a great choice for young children ( under 12 or so). They would want to play with everything and you'd be chasing them around all day. This the place to come to get away from the kids.

Judy M.

Yelp
My husband and I stayed here as we celebrated our 40th wedding anniversary, and we both give it thumbs up! The Inn is gorgeous and rustic and nicely appointed, with many Adirondack antique memorabilia--the bed was so comfortable, we slept for 12 hours the first night! Mary Pat and Tony were the PERFECT hostesses--and boy can Mary Pat cook and bake and entertain in first class style. We loved staying here and already have plans to go back. We both highly recommend this Inn for a whole variety of reason! Many great memories made!
