"The Lakefront Anchorage What is interesting about the Lakefront is that it’s located on Lake Hood, the largest seaplane base in the country. From many of the rooms, you can watch floatplanes (most hold only four passengers) take off and land on the water. The Lakefront has 248 rooms, two restaurants, and a free airport shuttle." - Bailey Berg

"Another solid choice is The Lakefront Anchorage Hotel, located on the scenic bank of Lake Hood, the world’s busiest floatplane base, so you can watch two-seater aircraft take off from the water, right from your room."

This hotel is comfortable and clean. It lacks a bit in the way of maintenance and upkeep. The lobby is beautiful. The rooms are clean and very nice. The laundry machines seem to not operate all the time. The bathroom sink didn't drain fast at all during my last stay. There was a faint sewage smell in the hallway right where our room. It lingered a bit in the room but I got used to it. It is a long walk down the hallway to get to your room depending on which one you get. With all that said I go with this hotel every time I stop in Anchorage by myself for work. It's a really good night's sleep overall and it's super close to the airport to which they do provide a free shuttle service.

The Lakefront Anchorage is our go-to hotel whenever we’re in the city. Its location is incredibly convenient, offering quick access to all the main spots in Anchorage and just a short 7-minute drive to the airport. The rooms are clean and cozy, providing a comfortable stay every time. The hotel itself is enormous, featuring a bar, a restaurant, and a stunning lobby that adds to the overall charm. It’s a perfect choice whether you’re planning a longer stay or just need a comfortable stopover. The combination of convenience, great amenities, and a welcoming atmosphere makes it a top pick for any type of visit. Highly recommended!

This is a very comfortable hotel with lots of amenities. It's beautiful out back watching the float planes. The furniture is very much dated and scratched. But the beds are very comfy and the rooms are clean with lots of towels. They have a very nice restaurant/ lounge on sight. Free shuttle to the airport as well. Definitely will visit again.

When we got to the hotel, they had us pay a $22 "resort fee" after we had already paid for everything online. This was to cover a $10 coupon to their restaurant and 2 bottles of water (which they were out of). We brought our dog since it's Christmas eve and chose this because it's a dog friendly hotel, and were charged $100 for a one night stay with him. I figured there would be a fee but I was not expecting it to be so steep. The room itself was fine except half the lamps didn't work. Overall would definitely not recommend.

The location of this hotel is optimal if you are staying in Anchorage. We were here for to upgrade a video/sound system for a church so it was a mix of work and pleasure. Although the furniture in our room was dated, the bed was very comfortable and the room and bathroom were exceptionally clean. The linens get an A+, especially the towels! My husband loved the pillows which were too flat for me. I would have liked to have had an option, or extra pillows in the room. Our room temperature was too warm and hard to regulate, but we were able to open a window slightly to balance it (love the air quality in Alaska.) Our last day we were chased to the airport due to an incoming heavy snow, and disappointed we did not get to do more sight-seeing that day. However, we're thankful we did not have to travel far to get to the airport. The staff, food and food service at the restaurant were great! We missed going to the Flying Machine restaurant due to our schedule, but the view from it was beautiful. FYI, you have to request a lakefront room if you want it, and it is not guaranteed even though the rate for it is higher.

I've been a resident of Anchorage for over 40+ years and we had to stay the night at a hotel since we arrived very late; otherwise, we would have stayed with family. This hotel has not been updated since it was built and it's been around since the 90s, I believe! I always check the bed for bed bugs and to make sure the linens are clean (I've been to hotels where they would make the beds without changing linens). I pulled back the flat sheet on both beds. One bed mattress cover had hair all over it and the other bed cover had blood and brown stains! We had to request a new room. In the second room, the mattress covers were old, dingy and look very well used! The sheets, blankets and pillows were fine and smelled clean. The bed was bumpy. I felt like bugs were crawling on me all night even though there were no bed bugs. The room was outdated and the bathroom was small. The other two people in my party took showers before me and the second person said there was no more hot water so I went to bed. The carpets in the room and throughout the hallways were dirty! The lobby could use a major overhaul since the taxidermy hanging on the wall looked dusty! Not a very comfortable stay for me but the other two in my party slept decent. I'm not picky but I do expect my rooms that I pay over $150 to be at least a little decent and at least the bed to be standard. This would be a nice hotel for travelers who need a place close to the airport for an overnight stay, but it needs to be updated. You would get more business if the owners would spend a little to spruce it up. Throw the beds and mattress covers away! The carpets are old and weren't vacuumed. The driver didn't say much and sounded like he was ill.

Google
Great location if you are just flying in or out of airport. A bit far from downtown and walkability. Solid restaurants on site. Friendly staff. Nothing fancy but will stay there again if flight layovers require.

I was on a business trip in the city, and this hotel exceeded my expectations. It has excellent facilities, and during my 10 days there, it left nothing to be desired. I highly recommend it to everyone.

Yelp
No complaints. Good was cooked well and serving served zero was good. The Service was Amazing the gentleman that served us was Very Attentive this was impressive as it appeared he was the only one for a while.

Yelp
Update: on two different occasions I've asked where the gym is and if they have any microwaves to heat up left overs. Two different staff told me the wrong location, which if okay cause it happens but if you work somewhere you should know or go find the answers. Finding the gym took more than 10mins because I wasn't told to take a different elevator, HOWEVER this lovely staff I asked for help when I was lost walked me over to the gym which I really appreciated she was so sweet. The gym was on the 3rd floor. I went on the third floor and couldn't find it because it was hidden I ran into one of the cleaning lady and she said it was on the 4th floor so when I was on the 4th floor that's when I ran to that wonderful staff who directed me to the correct place. My room was on the 1sf floor. Part two: I asked the receptionist (short Asian woman with makeup and fake lashes) about the Microwave; she seemed annoyed when I approached the desk and said it was on the 2nd floor. I proceeded to the second floor and walked for about 10 minutes and wasn't able to find it.. I ran into one of the guests twice as I was walking and he directed me to the one of the staff on that floor. I told her (staff) I was looking for a microwave to heat my leftovers because the receptionist told me the microwave was on the second floor. The staff proceeds to ask me if I'm staying at the hotel..... And I look at her to say why would I be in here asking for a microwave if I wasn't staying there. She told me there isn't a microwave anywhere in a hotel (with 248 rooms) Then she says I'll just take you to break room and you can heat it up. At this point I was over it because she was being passive. She asked me what I did for work and I told her and thats when she started to treat me differently and was sort off apologetic... And I didn't say anything. The last thing she said to me was "I'm sorry we disappointed you" she can kick rocks with open toe shoes. I'm really grateful for the bartender, she was nice and the other staff who went out of there way to be help off. I would never stay here again though and I'll tell my colleagues the same.

Yelp
This place had the air of a hotel that used to be really nice. The leather chairs in the lobby were cracked and faded. The walls were scuffed along the room corridors. The rooms have window units and our kept blowing the fuse in the plug and having to be reset. The decor was dated, tired, and dusty. We had breakfast at their restaurant, The Flying Machine, which was truly awful. We paid $27/person for cold, generic, poorly prepared food. The servers were wonderful but couldn't make up for the food.

Genevieve G.

Yelp
I could see how this hotel might have been nice back in the day, but could use a major face lift now. It smells a little musty upon walking into the lobby and shows its age all the way to the rooms. Our room had a weird Murphy bed thing happening and it was pretty uncomfortable. We had breakfast in the hotel and it was pretty good.

Rich E.

Yelp
Overall not a bad place. It's a little dusty and dated but clean. The rooms are well put together. FYI, there is no room service but uber eats is fast. I really like the late checkout.

Ruth G.

Yelp
We liked the room. It had an old school spring type mattress which was very comfortable. It was cozy and well insulated so we were never cold. We enjoyed breakfast downstairs one day and would have gone back but there were so many options nearby that we were not able to. We arrived early and were able to check in early. It was on the expensive side but so was everything in the area. The parking lot was treacherously icy but that seems the norm around here. We requested a lake view and basically overlooked a construction site. So...it was expensive and basically fine but if you're looking for seamless luxury you might look downtown.

Michelle P.

Yelp
Once we checked in, we checked the room for the usual, cleanliness and critters. We found the bed closest to the door to have an extremely dirty pillow, I'll attach below. The mattress cover had some squishy brown stuff. Could be chocolate, poop, food, who knows. We're now in 2003, two out of the four towels have some kind of stain on it that's stiff and yellow ish. Have it put to the side as proof. Makes us think nothing gets cleaned between uses. Was also charged an extra 200 dollars. Would like that money back.

Vicki R.

Yelp
The location can't be beat if you need to be near the airport, but multiple issues with service (incorrect billing that took a literal month to correct) and inadequate service in the only open restaurant made this a less than pleasant stay. Folks at the front desk were clearly overwhelmed.I am going back to AK soon for work and have booked elsewhere. Room was fine, if a little dated. The kitschy decor of the hotel felt right even if it was a little much. Trying to sit outside to watch the planes come and go was impossible because of the mosquitoes so don't plan on that unless you go in winter.

Sharon P.

Yelp
If taxidermy is how you roll you're going to love The Lakefront Anchorage hotel. I imagine a time when this hotel was the crème de la crème example of luxury. Rich dark wood, open common spaces, examples of wildlife throughout. Quintessential Alaska in a way that's almost shoved down your throat...tacky kitsch is evident. Suitable for an overnight stay if you can get past the small details of wear and tear: chipped furniture, carpet stains, tired and dusty displays, corners in desperate need of some elbow grease. Lakefront doesn't necessarily mean "lake view", likely another couple hundred dollars to see water from your room, but I'm not certain a view of the lake would change my opinion. Service good enough, restaurant food won't blow your hair back. It rained on our visit which actually helped the colors outdoors pop to life - probably spring time would be lovely. In better weather a stroll on the deck and a glass of something delicious would have kicked up the visit. After a long flight and an early train the following morning this airport hotel was good enough for overnight and a meal.

Renee W.

Yelp
We are staying at the Lakefront hotel be sure my husband has a conference there. It's an old hotel. The walk to our room took us on a winding hallway. The room is big and comfortable. We didn't get a nice view but still beautiful with all the snow. The lake is frozen so there are no planes taking off and landing the Flying Machine serves up a delicious breakfast. Haven't had another meal there yet. Our waitress was very friendly. The front desk staff totally ignored us when we wanted to check in. We know that we were early but have the decency to at least acknowledge us. We paid for and early check in and a late check out $50 each and it wasn't even in the system.

Sebastian U.

Yelp
I don't normally leave many reviews, but the service was extraordinary. Klara was our server. She had exceptional service! Our server was attentive, gracious, and impeccably efficient, ensuring every detail was flawless. Her professionalism and warm demeanor elevated the entire dining experience. Would come back!

Raylene A.

Yelp
The photos for the property are very misleading. My heart sank as I walked past the garbage and questionable poop on the walkway and into a lobby that was 100 degrees. The carpet throughout was in need of a serious vacuum and just plain dirty. My room contained two beds that were hard lumpy cheap mattresses. The carpet was dirty and matted and all the furniture was covered in a heavy dust. With that said I slept on top of sheets in my travel clothes and checked out first thing in the morning. It's sad because you can see the hotel was once a gem of a property now it's just a thrift shop version of its former self. I will add the staff was courteous and helpful

Carissa M.

Yelp
Anyone looking for a quiet and nice place that's central to Anchorage, yet far enough away to avoid the crime, should come here. The service is wonderful, the food in the bar and restaurant is good and they have a free shuttle with great drivers 24/7. Dog friendly and kept up well for taking Alaskan winter beatings!

P P.

Yelp
This is old! Their website is untrue and misleading. Advertised as you can see the seaplanes taking off and landing from your room - BS!!! Only from the fourth floor. Views from the ground and second floors consist of viewing three private residences and not the lake. If we had know prior to our reservation we would not have booked the room for two days. Definitely NOT worth the $650 price tag. No way will we ever stay here again.

Janice B.

Yelp
Do not recommend. Carpets dirty. Furnishings resemble website photos only with the most generous interpretation. Air conditioning is a window unit. If you have to stay for a night it is serviceable. The bar/restaurant is pretty.

AL B.

Yelp
Concerned about STAFF as I have tried to call many times to double check my reservations for a group of us who will be staying here-- concerned-- Hope I don't get double billed- I have already spent too much time trying to make reservations--

Jody S.

Yelp
The walls are covered with stuffed animals and there are several stuffed animals on display through the lobby. If you are a hunter then this would be a trophy kill wonderland. The lobby area is hunting lodge kind of vibe with lounge chairs, lots of wood trimming and paneling. I saw alot of people kind of hanging out in the lobby for a plane to take them to their hunting spot or some other place. There is a lake right out the back door where you can watch sea planes take off and land non stop. I was told this is the busiest seaplane airport in the country, maybe the world? We ate in the restaurant overlooking the water and it was meh. The server was really nice but the food was mediocre and pretty pricey.

Logan H.

Yelp
listen, the hotel is fine...nice front desk folks.... reasonably clean...close to the airport with a courteous shuttle driver...but the price is so hideously out of bounds for what you get. it's probably a step up from a Courtyard or Springhill--at 3x the price. so my rating reflects the lack of value. priced right, it probably deserves 3.5 out of 5, but loses points for: --15-minute wait at check in; --having to trolley my own bags to the room; --6+ waitstaff walking past my dinner table before anyone even made eye contact; --generally neglectedo condition of the common areas--chips out of the door Formica; stains in the carpet; a suspicious smell in the hallway of last month's Frat Party. the patio view is great, and the taxidermy around the lobby is kitschy-cute. but $450 for a window overlooking the thoroughfare to downtown and largely self-service around the grounds? yeah, one star is about right...

diane m.

Yelp
Did not help with needs of guest. Asked for simply Tylenol or Aleve and said they didn't have any.. Told me there was a place a few blocks up which wasn't the right answer since it was almost 9, raining and didn't have transportation. May I suggest that you buy some cheap packages of sample or travel size and make them available for purchase(remember you took our cc as we checked in)I'd someone who is feeling miserable. Not good customer's service and surely not the way to make your day. You need to cater to your potential returni g customers. I personally will nit

David F.

Yelp
Ugh. If it wasn't for a conference being held here that I was attending there is no way I'd stay here. The picture on their website must have been taken 50 years ago. Today, this so-called lakefront hotel is out-dated with rooms that need new carpets, furniture, beds, etc. A full remake is needed. Then, the service. What service? It took an hour and 3 calls to the front desk to get a hair dryer to replace the one I had which was burned out. There's much more negative feedback that I could provide but, but the bottom line is - I cannot recommend this place at all.

Joseph W.

Yelp
If I could give this place negative stars I would. My stay there was decent, but after leaving I continue to get multiple charges on my credit card. Not small charges, thousands of dollars in charges. I've been on the road from Texas for a month and have stayed at over 15 hotels and this was my worst stay. There are multiple hotels in Anchorage that are cheaper and much better.

Sonja L.

Yelp
I would give negative stars if I could. Do not stay at this hotel!!! Two rooms had bed bugs.. then the staff refused to refund our money.. charged us a cancellation fee of 65.00 even though we didn't use the room at all.. our luggage ( thank god) never even made it to the room.. I was told the general manager would call me when the person returned from vacation.. that call never came.. we attempted to call and leave messages, but it looks as though they plan on ripping off a military family who was in Alaska visiting family that was just placed on hospice during Christmas. If my story goes viral .. forcing the hotel to deal with me, their bed bugs and their policies.. that would be greatly appreciated

Hike R.

Yelp
Not worth the $519.00 for a 1 night stay! The staff is GREAT, and the 24 hour Shuttle to the airport is great. The rooms are a little dingy, window screens broken and sills filthy. But I'll never stay there again, the price is REDICULOUS!

Levi S.

Yelp
Very cozy and comfortable and the fitness room is pretty fleshed out My weight is none of your business please do not ask

Vanessa W.

Yelp
Horrible experience. Mistreated, yelling at me aggressively and was told the police was going to be called on me,told me to leave the premises because I am not a guest there in which I had proof that I had reservations in which security refused to look at and even went as far as telling me I was going to be shipped back to the airport. All of this going on at 2:00am and explaining myself to the only security Alex is the staff that is responsible for his unprofessional behavior. I have never ever felt humiliated in my life. I will never return or book with this hotel again and I will make sure that people know of this unacceptable behavior. FYI I recorded the incident so I can have my proof of the unacceptable behavior, I felt discriminated in this hotel. DONT WASTE YOUR MONEY HERE!!!!

Sandra M.

Yelp
On no planet is this a three star hotel. I can not stand dried urine on toilets. I mean I don't want to see dried urine on anything,

Daphne S.

Yelp
This place is way past its expiration date. The tables are sticky. The cucumber martini was not drinkable. The rooms are shabby as are the restaurant and the lobby. The elevator is loud with a scraping sound and the shuttle from the airport sounds like the brakes are metal on metal. On our floor, there were 2 stacks of broken down boxes in the hall as well as a box fan at the opening of a propped storage room door. Shocking for 450/night.

Bryan R.

Yelp
Sarah Reynolds in the Fancy Moose lounge has been an excellent server! Have not had to wait for any service and made sure all our needs were met.. I will definitely come back again for the great service received from Sarah!

Andrea S.

Yelp
False advertising expensive fail! I booked six months in advance for a lake view....We are stuffed in a hot stinking corner staring at a brown wall. Disgusting!

Kayvon T.

Yelp
Pros: Location; 5 mins from the airport Free shuttle Quick and easy check-in Nice size room Restaurant Lake out back Cons: Somewhat outdated (It's Alaska) Walls thin IMO the LakeFront gets 4 stars. I felt satisfied with my choice after seeing other hotels in and around Anchorage.

Chet B.

Yelp
We stayed for one night! For being close to the airport and having the restaurant and bar on site with airport shuttle, this was nice. Was not a fan of the zigzag hall ways to the rooms, but the rooms were good for the night. I would stay here again!

Anthony M.

Yelp
I was really disappointed by my stay here. My colleagues and I were coming in from a rather rough stay at another hotel in Juneau and really looking forward to a stay in what we thought was a nice hotel. Not so much. The photos featured on the website are clearly old as I found the hotel to be dated, unclean and clearly worn. The ceiling tile in my room was coming down which added to my feelings of general unease. This could be a great hotel if updated to today's standards. I usually don't review hotels but felt that I had to in this instance. If another chain hotel is available, I would suggest staying there.

Eric B.

Yelp
It's hard to rate this Hotel, as it was our "tour" lodging off the Alaska Railroad. In our case, the train from Seward to Anchorage arrived relatively late and the next day's voyage from Anchorage left early in the morning. That means that when we arrived, it was well past Supper time and in the morning, those breakfast vouchers were too rushed to practically use. The free shuttle from the Airport and check-in were both efficient and friendly. And once up to the room, we found it nicely appointed and with plenty of room to relax or stare at our screens, thanks to good Wi-Fi. Our sleep was comfortable and pleasant, and the early morning shower was hot and strong. Our view was towards the parking lot, and it would have been nice to see the Lake (and the planes) from that side. Maybe this place was a little dated, but for the 7 or so hours we actually stayed here, I was too tired to make too many distinctions.

Stephanie Q.

Yelp
Nice clean rooms. The one we were in had no view at all ( we were looking at a wall or parking lot) Nice restaurant/bar with good food. We ate breakfast and dinner there 2-3 times. My favorite was the french toast for breakfast. Hint sit out on the deck area for dinner and watch the planes come and go on lake hood( largest/ busiest sea plane air port in the area- peak time of year could see upwards of 700 planes come and go( what out trolly guide told us). Is within walking distance to Gwennies ( a good local spot for breakfast and dinner) and several other things. They do provide a shuttle to/from airport and to downtown Anchorage ( drop you off right in middle of shopping/eating area).

Sam M.

Yelp
The accommodations and service were fine. With the help of our travel agent, we prepaid for our rooms in advance of our stay. As is customary, card card information was provided for each of the four rooms our family used at the time of check in. We had an extremely early check out the next morning to start our Alaskan cruise, so final bills were to be emailed. To date we have not received any statements. More concerning were the $250 charge that occurred for two of the rooms on our credit card several days later. Despite several phone calls to individuals at the both the front desk and reservations, and after leaving voicemails and even an email on the Millennium website, we have had no response from the Lake Front Anchorage. Our travel agent was able to help, and through her contacts we were told that we would be credited. The hotel's explanation was that the the wrong credit card had been charged. The pending credit appeared on our credit card website, so we thought everything had been resolved. After 3 days the credits had not posted, we went to our card's website and the pending credits had disappeared. We are now over over two weeks out from our one night stay at the LakeFront Anchorage and we still have not been credited for the mistaken $500 charges.

David J.

Yelp
Hotel is dated. Nice setting looking over lake. Our tub had nasty stains and mold in the grout. I informed the front desk and their only response was " I'll let them know". Not what I expected for a $480 night room.

MoShai G.

Yelp
This hotel was a last minute booking from Hotwire.com. Upon arrival I thought the hotel looked super cute but when I got up to my floor, the carpet is in dire need of cleaning, there was trash in the hallway from the previous guest and my sheets had stains on them. I also noticed that the sink filled up with water as I was brushing my teeth. The best part is they have a restaurant here and they do free shuttle to the airport. I also loved the stuffed animals in the lobby!

Jane D.

Yelp
Lakefront is great until it isn't.....first stay was great. Second stay (Jan 2024) terrible. What would make me book somewhere else next time is that I reached out to the GM and to Millennium Group and have had zero follow up. This is not a good sign in the hospitality industry. I would recommend the restaurant/s for the great views of the lake (but not for breakfast very expensive) but will stay somewhere else on my next visits.

Jennifer D.

Yelp
First I'll start by saying there is no way corporate has been to this property in a very long time. It smelled musty. Room "updates" were done cheaply and without care. Toilet didn't flush. We were put on hold by desk for over 10 minutes at that point we gave up and went down there. There was no smoke detector in our room. Just an empty spot with wires where it was supposed to be. Due to our early flight time we checked in for 9 hours. We checked out at 3am at desk only to receive a text at 12 (while in Seattle airport) that check out was 12 and to let them know when we had left. Overall this was a waste of 300 bucks. I've seen nicer motel 6.

Joel P.

Yelp
This place is my favorite when I come to Alaska. The staff is amazing, especially Tara and Brandon. They are always on top of everything, very friendly and helpful I really enjoy staying there honestly, plus the food they serve at their restaurant is superb to be honest

Matthew M.

Yelp
I do not recommend this property. They are not upfront about prices. They are not openingly willing to share there prices with customers when asked. They tack on extra charges without notifying the customer/guest. This was just absurd absolutely disgusting customer service. I do not recommend unless this is your last resort.

Jeremy H.

Yelp
Avoid at all cost. Old outdated hotel with the most unfriendly staff I have come across in a while. Common area floors are dirty and the hotel as a whole has a musty smell. Just implemented a new resort fee according to staff but the front office is clueless about how to assign you the "food or beverage credit" etc. Instead of attempting to find out told me to talk the the "higher up" to get it figured out.

Mary Ann R.

Yelp
My husband and I stayed here last week and we were disappointed with the front desk and the incorrect billing that they are trying to avoid to fix. The hotel carpets are dirty and there were dusts every part of the room. The only good experience that we had was our service in The Flying Machine. The servers were awesome and friendly. Skip this hotel and go somewhere else.

Candace L.

Yelp
Stayed at the Lakefront for one evening after flying into Anchorage for a little road trip. Check in was super simple and the one of the first things they asked was if I have a floor preference. My only preference was a good nights sleep on the eve of my birthday. I requested any floor but not near any children if possible. I'd stay here again if in town. I'm sure it's a prime spot in the summer months. Lots of taxidermy here, so if that sort of thing freaks you out - maybe skip an Alaska trip ;) or keep it to where the animals are alive. Felt a little like night at the museum downstairs when I wandered down to see if the restaurant had soup (they didn't). It was very quiet end of October but served its purpose - got on the road early the next morning to head out to Homer.

Jaymee H.

Yelp
Turned down the sheet and the bed was full of bugs. Left immediately. The manager argued with us that they were not bed bugs and then that there was no bugs at all and we were seeing things

Beth M.

Yelp
Stayed here for a Labor Day weekend. Came it little early, they can't accommodate us coz the rooms are not ready so we had to wait for 45min The FOH gave us the room at the first floor, we're supposed to have the Lake side, yah over looking the maintenance garage lake side that is, we can't even open the curtain coz we're so visible from the outside, not to mention she's not a very pleasant FOH, must be tired They're charged us for cleaning our room!??? For real? For the price I will expect a little better hotel, the lobby is messy. In our floor going to our room the housekeeping cart was on the hallway all night. The floor where we at was never vacuumed for days, there's the same dirt been on the floor since Saturday. There's a cable hanging on the wall connected to TV The only good thing about this place is the lake. Food is so expensive, they even charged you $3 for cup of weak coffee. Breakfast should be complimentary. I won't come here again. Attached are couple photos I took. They just need to tighten up, maybe change the carpeting too.

Yelp
The worst hotel experience. We stayed here for three days. The front desk lady was disrespectful. The hotel never came to clean our rooms (yes, we had two rooms that were not cleaned up). The Wi-Fi connection is horrible. Day one - The unexpected front desk encounter: We initially had requested for a lake view room, but when we got to the hotel, we were given a room that faced the back side. We asked the front desk lady for a change in the hotel room, but she was very passive aggressive and told us that there are no rooms available and told us to wait for a room change the next day. She told us that she will write a note for the front desk tomorrow but she will not be here (speaking like she was not going to responsible if there were no rooms available the next day). She said we can try to come at 8am the next day for the change. Although we were pretty disappointed with her attitude, since we were tired from our long flight, so decided to just go with it. So we slept, and woke up the next day, and decided to stay in the room that we were given. Day two - The uncleaned room: We woke up and went about our activities for the day. We went to the glaciers and had a good time. However, when we came back to our room, we were shocked to see that our rooms were not made. The blankets were still the way they were when we left it. We didn't get a new set of towels. The floor was not vacuumed. Everything was still the way they were. Day three - No WI-FI and disrespectful customer service: We stayed at the hotel for the morning, because both me and my brother had to work at the hotel. This required the usage of Wi-Fi. However, the Wi-Fi was not stable - we couldn't access certain websites freely, and it took forever to load. As a result, we had to use our hotspot to connect, which was a waste of our phone data. Later at night, we ordered some ice cream to the hotel. The food was delivered properly, however, we needed some utensils and asked the hotel to bring us two spoons. However, the lady was very very rude. She responded, "Did you just say spoons? We don't have spoons right now. You're going to have to go to the restaurant and ask. Or just wait for a few hours." And then she immediately hung up, without even giving me a chance to respond to her message. We paid a good amount of money to stay in this hotel. Although it is not a 4-star hotel, I believe that every hotel should treat their customers like king. This is a service industry, hotels compete with their service and how they treat their customers, but this was horrendous. I've never experienced such a out-right rude treatment from a hotel. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone. Please go and find another hotel before picking this place to stay.

Yelp
There's a lot that's already been said about this place. It's technically a 3.5 resort (multiple restaurants, business center, airport shuttle) but it doesn't excel at anything in particular. Wifi is a bit slower than most. As of this writing there's a "complimentary" and a "premium" Wifi tier. The latter will get you about 9Mbps Down/3 Up and well, that's not very premium. In other words, you'll be able to answer emails and watch Netflix, but your Zoom meetings and video calls are going to be less than great. If you happen to be in town and catch the hotel on a good deal, whether by sale or those third party discount booking sites, it can be a good value, but I can't justify anyone paying normal or "rack rate." It's an older building, the floors creak (which you can hear people above and outside your room) and the lighting is a bit dreary at night. Oh and even though I didn't think I minded, they do go a bit overboard with the taxidermy in the lobby. Feels like a Natural History Museum down there!

Yelp
This is a pretty poor excuse for a hotel. Here are some reasons: King bed requested six months in advance but not available; Sleeping room lacked adequate curtains or shades for the 22 hours of seasonal daylight; Bathroom sliding door didn't slide easily at all; Surly desk staff were unapologetic about reservation foul ups. You're better off sleeping in your car than these subpar accommodations. Marriott Courtyard is across the street. Very sorry I didn't stay there.
