The Lancrigg

Attended a wedding here. It's a fantastic venue, and whilst the weather didn't hold out, we had plenty of shelter indoors and outdoors. The staff were incredibly friendly and accommodating.

The setting and views were stunning. |We were told that the hotel had just reopened, so things were still in the teething stage. Our room was advertised as having a courtyard with Mountain View. Unfortunately, the courtyard was untidy and unkept, the mountain view was obscured by overgrown bushes, I was a bit disappointed as had paid extra for this, there were also cobwebs in our room. These are the only gripes. The breakfast was lovely and plentiful. The staff were cheery and very helpful. I would go back to this hotel again, most definitely!

Stunning, friendly and perfectly positioned. We stayed here in the oak room, beautifully decorated, perfectly clean, stunning views. Great for dogs, as straight out onto the veranda. Great breakfast and staff couldn’t do enough to help. Thank you for a wonderful stay, didn’t want to leave and will be back soon x

As a videographer, I had the pleasure of working at Lancrigg Wedding Venue in the stunning Lake District, and it was an experience I won't soon forget. Nestled in a picturesque setting, the venue offers breathtaking views of the surrounding mountains and lush greenery, which provides a perfect backdrop for capturing those special moments. The natural light that floods the space during the day enhances the beauty of the venue and allows for some truly stunning footage. The venue itself is charming and beautifully maintained, with a mix of rustic and elegant elements that cater to a variety of wedding styles. The indoor spaces are versatile, allowing for intimate ceremonies or larger celebrations, all while maintaining a cozy atmosphere. The outdoor areas are equally impressive, offering numerous spots for romantic shots and group photos. The well-kept gardens and scenic paths provide endless opportunities for creative videography. The staff at Lancrigg are incredibly accommodating and professional, making it easy for me to do my job. They understand the needs of vendors and are always willing to help facilitate smooth transitions during the day. This seamless collaboration ensures that the couple can focus on enjoying their special day while I capture the memories that will last a lifetime. Overall, Lancrigg is a fantastic wedding venue for videographers and couples alike, and I highly recommend it for anyone looking to create beautiful wedding memories in a breathtaking location.

We had a great one night stay at Lancrigg. The property and surrounding area is beautiful, even on a slightly rainier day. The room was super cosy and they had some fantastic breakfast options. Would absolutely stay again and have already reccomended friends and family to book if visiting the lakes.

The Lancrigg is such a gem of a place to stay at. It literally couldn't be in a better position to explore the stunning countryside of Grasmere and Easedale, with walks straight from the front door. The team at Lancrigg have worked so hard to transform it into a lovely venue and the new barn bedrooms are very cosy and comfortable. It's 7 years since we first stayed, and the Lancrigg has undergone some big changes and developments during that time. As a B&B in the heart of the Lakes it's perfect. Cosy, comfortable and the breakfast is lovely. Even though we only stayed 2 nights we felt like we had been away much longer, it was just so restful.

Such a beautiful place, perfect position for a wedding venue. The building is charming and has lots of character. The owner is very friendly and welcoming. Great job!

Went here last week while staying close by. Called in for a drink, staff friendly. Beautiful location for a casual visit & if planning a wedding the location would be fantastic

We saw signs on the way to Helm Crag about a cafe/bar nearby and decided to check it out after the hike. The smoked-duck salad was splendid, and my husband was quite pleased w/ his ham sandwich (sides of green salad and potato salad scored well, too). But the winner was the orange-carrot cake for dessert. I'm going to try to get the recipe: dense, moist, not-too-sweet... I am reasonably sure the sweetener was orange marmalade. Reminded me of my grandma's (steamed) Christmas pudding. Oh, and the atmosphere was cozy, and service good. Beautiful location just outside Grasmere.
