Sooo looking forward to being back at the Lane and spend some time at the Canny Man’s!!! Gloria and her son Mark as well as the rest of the staff are delightful! We were there in June 2024 and will be there again in a few days! I wouldn’t stay anywhere else I. Edinburgh! The place is just wonderful. Tastefully decorated and so quiet! The Canny Man’s next door is also owned by the family and is packed with history, has a wonderful bar and a great menu! They really do make you feel like they have known you forever looking forward to seeing you all soon!

Stayed here briefly and loved it! Great price and very spacious rooms. Though there is no staff in the hotel itself, the staff that we encountered through the restaurant downstairs and cleaning etc were so lovely. Everyone was very accommodating and helpful whenever we had any questions or concerns. Highly recommend.

What a delightful stay! ||Very spacious rooms that we felt were very affordable for the offering. All the staff we ran into- either in the restaurant/bar downstairs or cleaning etc were warm and friendly. ||The hotel is situated in a great walking area with lovely cafés and shops along the way. ||Highly recommend!

Fantastic hidden gem of a hotel. Amazing room and bathroom, really helpful staff and great location in Morningside. You even get parking, which can be unusual in Edinburgh hotels. Definitely give the pub a try too, very different - in a good way. One tip is to ask for directions due to one way system, my Sat nav got caught out by a road closed to cycles only but we found our way in via a different route.

Fantastic location and staff were extremely friendly and helpful. The room we stayed in was beautiful and spacious, and breakfast was good. It would have been nice to have a mini fridge but asides from that was a fantastic stay.

Well appointed, decent value hotel next to a very characterful pub in a pleasant part of town.||Easy parking and really quick easy access into the city centre via bus. It was lovely to come back to the peace of the Lane after a day of the madness of Edinburgh in the summer.

The Lane Hotel is a special treat in Edinburgh! We’d heard about it last year and we booked this year for one night. The location is wonderful in the Morningside section of town, alongside The Canny Man which we always enjoy. We loved being able to explore the surrounding neighborhood. |Delightful in every way. We look forward to coming back next year for a longer stay!

Awesome experience @Lane Boutique hotel this past week, the location is super convenient with great bus service to everything. An added bonus is Canny Mans pub with superior service and terrific food. If using Uber just put in pub seems to work better. Just 10 minutes by bus to Royal Mile. Can't wait for return visit!
