This hotel is really a 2* or 3* experience masquerading as a 5* hotel. The property itself is beautiful and modern, and the front desk staff are great (Cali was great and so helpful!!). But, unfortunately, that’s where the positives end.
Overcrowded. Out of control, loud young families overrun the property at all hours. This place is more akin to a daycare than a 5* hotel. The management have no idea how to curate and put together a guest experience worthy of the Langham brand. FWIW, I’ve stayed in other langhams that have been good, and this falls disturbingly short. Guest experience is non existent. It’s really a stain on the Langham brand, and disgraces the name.
Moreover, the breakfast restaurant is disgusting (and that would be putting it kindly!). Food all over the floor, seats dirty constantly. I was given a seat with chocolate all over it and almost sat in it!!!! I’d have been covered in chocolate if I did. There were half boiled eggs all over the ground and dirty food on the table they tried to seat us at one morning. All of these issues, not to mention the 30 minute wait to even get into breakfast! The entire breakfast seems understaffed too.
For beach cabanas, apparently you have to book far in advance and they only give you 2 deck chairs?! What kind of nonsense is this? When asked for a cabana on the day (11am!!! Not late!!) they just said it’s not available????? When we did book one, they limited us to only 2 deck chairs? Why? Made no sense whatsoever. Bizarre.
Other parts of the hotel were an utter mess too. We gave laundry once and were promised delivery by 6pm. It ended up getting lost, nobody knew where it was. Ended up receiving it over 24 hours late. Unacceptable.
If you have any hopes of an upscale experience, steer away. The issues I listed are only the tip of the iceberg. Heed this warning. If you do choose to stay here against my warnings, then have fun staying in a de facto daycare for the next few days!
