The Langham, Hong Kong

"How did it strike you on arrival? As you exit the frenetic streets of Tsim Sha Tsui and enter the grand lobby of The Langham, a sense of calm washes over you. Channeling its British heritage, the elegant lobby has marble floors, beige marble walls, and a towering chandelier. Nice. What’s the crowd like?Located in the heart of Tsim Sha Tsui, just steps from the city’s major shopping malls and restaurants, the hotel draws a mix of clientele—lots of business travelers, as well as Burberry-clad leisure travelers, a few families, and those in search of an authentic English afternoon tea experience. The good stuff: Tell us about your room.Revamped in 2014, the rooms seem designed with Audrey Hepburn in mind—fresh yet classic, complete with a chaise lounge by the windows and black-and-white fashion portraits above the bed. While the entry-level rooms are a bit snug (about 320 square feet), they expand considerably at the Executive Room level. The suites are marvelous—each featuring its own design. Not so much a “theme” but more like subtle odes to 1920s glamour and natural elements. The Harmony Suite, for example, embraces shades of blue, wave-like motifs, and all things water. Whether you’re in a standard room or a suite, large windows overlook either the garden courtyard or city expanses. We prefer the city views, as we love to watch Hong Kong buzz day and night. We’re craving some deep, restorative sleep. They got us?The Langham’s signature “Blissful Bed” looks as good as it feels. A king-size mattress and a seven-option pillow menu made our night. How about the little things, like mini bar, or shower goodies. Any of that find its way into your suitcase? We let out a silent hurrah when we saw the Nespresso machine in the room, but our favorite touch was the welcome fruit. We arrived to find delicious Asian pears waiting by the window, and we devoured every last one. Please tell us the bathroom won’t let us down. Each room includes a black-and-white Italian marble bathroom with a soak tub and a separate rain shower. Naturally, the bathrooms are larger in the higher room categories and specialty suites. Maybe the most important topic of all: Wi-Fi. What’s the word?Free and fast Wi-Fi will please business travelers and Instagram addicts alike. Room service: Worth it?Like most things at The Langham, room service is superlative. White-gloved servers will set up an elaborate table with starched tablecloths. A diverse menu covers favorites: big-as-your-face burgers, Chinese pork dumplings, cheesecake and even Cantonese specialties from the three-Michelin-starred T’ang Court. Staff: If you could award one a trophy, who gets it, and why?The concierge team here is ace. The Langham actually staffs two recognized Les Clefs d'Or members—an elite concierge organization with only 3,000 members internationally. Anything stand out about other services and features? Whether it’s childcare, gyms, spas, even parking—whatever stuck with you.The dining options at The Langham are so good that you’ll likely never want to leave. Standouts are the afternoon tea service at Palm Court, drinks at Artesian Bar (also in the lobby lounge), and three-Michelin-starred T’ang Court. The deep crimson drapes, white tablecloths, and understated gold accents at T’ang evoke a lavish Chinese mansion. Elsewhere in the building, The Bostonian Seafood & Grill serves up surf ‘n’ turf, while Main St. Deli specializes in all things New York-style deli: milkshakes, cheesecake, burgers, and sandwiches like a hearty Reuben. What was most memorable—or heartbreaking—about your stay?At every opportunity, the staff went above and beyond, from the welcome fruit to the helpful recommendations. We were also impressed by the versatile food options—particularly the Cantonese cuisine and excellent afternoon tea. Bottom line: worth it, and why?Combining British heritage with Art Deco-inspired decor, The Langham balances convenience and glamour." - Kate Springer

Excellent position. I was very happy with our room, large, clean and happy to get extra coffee capsules when requested. Arrived via the stairs with large bags but a very quick manager helped with them. Didn't do the breakfast so can't comment. Enjoyed the Chinese New Year dance in the forecourt. Overall, a solid hotel - worth joining their hotel program to get the best price. Spent three nights there. The reception area is pretty busy but our rooms were super quiet.

Our stay at the hotel was mostly pleasant the rooms were clean, and the location was excellent. However, we faced an issue during checkout when we approached the concierge (Tiffany) to arrange a car to go to Shenzhen. Without even checking availability, she outright refused to assist, saying it was "too last minute." Thankfully, the manager stepped in, was very helpful, and successfully arranged transportation for us. While we appreciated the manager's assistance, the concierge's attitude was disappointing and not professional. With better customer service in all areas, this hotel could truly excel.

The rooms have good windows that blocked the noise from outside. The people are very nice and I like their pink pens. Easy to hail a taxi from the concierge. Easy Uber drop off. I wish you could use the room credits for the Moleskine store. The room chairs are a little outdated. Mine was broken. I wasn’t a fan of the fragrances from the Diptyque products. I do appreciate the fresh grapes, they were quite good.

The design of Langham Hotel Hong Kong gives a sense of pride, beauty and simple elegance luxurious. The hotel is located in a location where it is easy to find food and there are many shopping areas. Breakfast has a wide variety of delicious food to choose from. If I come to Hong Kong, I will definitely choose to stay here again.

Loved this hotel, staff and service. Our rooms were well serviced everyday and all requests were promptly dealt with. We upgraded to the Club and though expensive, some of the inclusions were worth it. The breakfast offerings were better at the normal buffet.. so we mostly ate at the buffet instead the club. The afternoon tea is lovely but often we were out and about so missed it. The evening drinks and nibbles were the highlight for us, after which we would venture out for dinner etc. We also got to meet other members and enjoyed the chats. However there is little ambiance, Elevator music, with no option or variations on all of the nights .. so def needs to improve this. The bar downstairs as well has little atmosphere when there is no live music. We didn’t use the ironing service nor were offered a newspaper as advised. Maybe the hotel would cut the Brekky and instead offer something else like an airport transfer instead?

Our check-in experience at reception felt a bit impersonal. While a gentleman kindly gave our son a teddy, which was a lovely touch, the staff member handling our check-in wasn’t particularly welcoming. Additionally, we weren’t provided with standard information such as how to access the Wi-Fi or details about breakfast, including location and timing. Breakfast was acceptable but not particularly special—it was a standard buffet. Given the Langham’s reputation, I had expected a higher standard. The breakfast service was extremely busy, and at times we had to wait for a table. The coffee quality was inconsistent, with noticeable variations in the same order on different days. Our room was spacious enough and generally comfortable, but the shower was frustrating to use, requiring adjustments between separate hot and cold taps. The temperature also fluctuated unpredictably, which was inconvenient. Additionally, on two occasions, we had to request water for the room as it was either not replenished or not sufficient for the number of guests. We also tried room service one evening, and while the food was fine, it wasn’t particularly memorable. Having previously stayed at the Langham in London, which was an exceptional experience, I found the Langham Hong Kong to be a bit underwhelming. While most of the staff were pleasant and helpful, the overall atmosphere lacked the grandeur and opulence I had expected from the brand.

It is very surprising that we were arranged with a wonderful room thanks to lucas.yiu. He’s so thoughtful! We would love to come back next time. Note: it’s a celebration trip for retirement and we got a cute cake! Thank you so much.

We enjoyed our stay in May 2025, friendly staff, great location close to Star Ferry and shopping, nice room and delicious buffet breakfast. However the hotel is still holding onto my 1,000 HK$ 2 weeks after check out, I called and emailed with them few times, was assurred it was released and it was not. The front office manager promised to email me after checking with their department and I am still waiting. This ruins the great impression and experience we had. Perhaps the front office need more training.

Yelp
Wonderful lounge off the main reception area. We enjoyed excellent service and two rounds of drinks with nibbles before going to dinner upstairs.

Yelp
OH MY GOD! Probably the best hotel I've ever stayed at! The service, the room, the people, the ambience... overall such a great hotel! Stayed here for 2 days for a business trip and I didn't want to ever leave! I was treated like royalty. The lobby smelled so good and the hotel suite itself was just AMAZING! I can't explain how amazing this hotel is. Staff: very hospitable! Suite: clean and very very luxurious Buffet: the food was amaazinnnnngggggg Location: smack dab in the middle of the shopping district where it's connected to DFW (duty free), and within walking distance to all the luxury stores and close to everything! It's so nice! I would stay here again even tho it's cost $200 a night! 5 star hotel indeed!

Yelp
I am slowly making my rounds around the world to check out all the Langham Afternoon Tea locations. This is my 4th location (previously been to Los Angeles, Chicago, and Melbourne). I always enjoy a good afternoon tea experience in a new city and the langham afternoon tea in Hong Kong was no different. The seating area at the hotel was beautiful with the perfect display tiered tray of sandwiches and desserts. They also had a pianist playing in the background to help set the mood. I do not have any complaints as I very much enjoyed myself, however I gave this 4 stars because I would rank this location lower than the other locations I've been to so far. I rank this one lower because although the sandwiches looks really pretty, the taste was only ok. But nonetheless, like I said, I still enjoyed myself! I also love tea places that have both white and brown sugar cubes to add into my tea. Thanks Langham!

Yelp
We in Asia for a week: two nights at Conrad Manila; one night at Sofitel Macao and then the Langham Hong Kong. All are "five star" category but the Langham as the best service: - at HKG airport, they have a booth and just go there and they will take you to the hotel. No need to wait for a cab, walk blocks to the Uber area, etc. Location is the best in Kowloon. It's across the street from the MTR (subway), there is a shopping mall at the next light (harbor city), the actual harbor is a ten min walk away. I couldn't be happier with the location. The service is wonderful. There are always people in the lobby to help, they do a proper turn down service (bringing ice, bottled water and bedside slippers). There is a beautiful rooftop pool and hot tub, open until 11pm. And thanks to Carmen for all her help. I will be back.

Yelp
Really enjoyed my stay here. The location is just perfect so I was able to go out to shop and come back for a break then go out again. I also loved the decor and especially the lobby. Only negative was the breakfast. I ordered oatmeal which tasted disgusting. Worse than cardboard. Also got a mocha and hot chocolate which were terrible. I recommend not ordering breakfast food and going out instead.

Yelp
For the price, this "luxury hotel" was very disappointing. While the beds were comfortable, the bathroom hadn't been thoroughly cleaned which is a huge pet peeve of mine. The toilet seat had some old stains on it, perhaps one that can't be wiped off but then they should have replaced the whole toilet seat. Also, we paid for the deluxe city view room and the view looked NOTHING like what was on the website. Our window looked directly into another building. The man at the front desk even told us "to be honest, there isn't really a view at all". If that's the case, please update your website. I've stayed in MUCH nicer hotels for the same price in other large cities, with extremely nice city views and better service. One more thing - our check in time was at 3 pm and they didn't give us our room until 5 pm. They treated us to a drink at their bar, but 2 hours late is pretty unacceptable for an upscale hotel like this one. The only redeeming factor is that the location is pretty convenient. Overall, never staying here again.

Yelp
This is an absolutely beautiful hotel in Hong Kong TST. It was recently renovated a couple years ago, giving it a more modern face lift. Right when you enter the lobby it's obvious that the ambience and class of the hotel is a notch above the rest. The lobby is gorgeous with plentiful seating , legit lobby bar with wide selection of artisanal cocktails, wine and liquids. The staff is quick and dedicated to making your stay as pleasurable as possible-- a home away from home. The rooms are larger than the typical ones in Hk. Love that there's a working area, couch and sometimes medium size bar with full array of crystal glasses and espresso machine in the room (Moreso in the suites and new rooms) . There's a couple good restaurants in the hotel and the room service is opulent. Great international breakfast with made to order noodle and omelet bar. Outside is a host of shops, an extremely convenient location. Shopping is literally across the street and Central is a taxi away. The hotel can arrange all can rides for you , and the MTR is literally across a small street. Transportation doesn't get easier than that.

Yelp
Truly a 5 Star experience all the way around. I'm a CA resident who lives near the Langham hotel in Pasadena, so as soon as we heard the Langham extended out to Hong Kong it was a no brainer for us on where we wanted to stay. Their service, ambience and available amenities are second to none. They have a fantastic little bar area, and their high tea experience is a must if you can squeeze it in amongst your other plans. The rooms are elegant and a perfect size for you and your partner, and their room service menu is fire If you are willing to take the splurge and upgrade to the club level, the amenities are superb. They truly treat you like royalty, and you will easily recover the cost difference if you go for a mimosa or cocktail and small bites at some point in your day... all of which are well worth it to have in your back pocket since it's unlimited and delicious. They also have a fantastic spa arrangement. My only downside was that the pool was a bit underwhelming, but I guess when you are on vacation in Hong Kong that's not really on your to do lists as much anyways.

Yelp
I stayed here recently for a few nights after having transferred from another hotel in town (my girlfriend started her business trip a few days after we came to Hong Kong. This was her business trip hotel). The lobby/atrium is very nice and grand and the service we received upon check in was very good. Didn't really notice much of a service difference after that to set it apart from other hotels though. I didn't like how only one side of the bed had power outlets, but at least they provided a few power converters which was nice. Location is pretty good as it is next to an MTR station, right near Kowloon Park, near a bunch of luxury shopping and Nathan Road, and some of the more local establishments not far away. NOTE: To get across the street to the east, you must go underground for a little bit if you want to get there from right across from the hotel. You can't really cross the street above ground unless you take a detour of a handful of blocks total. I think if you get a good deal on the Langham, then it's worth a stay, though I wouldn't shell out really luxury prices for it based on the fact that the service we got wasn't anything special after checking in. Still a pretty solidly good hotel

Yelp
-Room-small but decent -Front desk/bellboy : pleasant -Details We checked in late around 11pm. Lobby is near their bar area and they don't manage singer's mic volume. I had hard time listening to the front desk because of loud singing. We are three people, so had one king and one rollaway. They didn't mention about extra charge for rollaway. It was $500HK then 10% service charge on top per night. I hate this kind of surprise! But the rollaway was neatly tugged in and ready when we checked in. All ropes/sleepers were ready for three people which was nice. Concierge wasn't very helpful and their in-room phone doesn't have concierge button. You need to call front desk or service then have them transfer. Weird. Had high expectation and not quite happy although their location is superb. I'll probably stay again due to its location but not by room or service.

Yelp
Arrive at Palm Court without a reservation and luckily there were tables still available. Tried the afternoon tea set and was not impressed at all, aside for the tea selection. Started off with the savory which was a selection of sandwiches. 3 of the 4 choices appears to be sliced bread folded over to mock a droplet and stuffed with filling. The other was a mini brioche based with filling of some sort. The "droplet" filled sandwiches were dry and most likely exposed to air for a long period of time, losing the softness that you would normally get from a well stored sliced bread. The brioche was not any better and was even drier. Taste of the sweets were very standard and at best, just OK. Although the presentation was much better then it's taste. Mini scones which came out last were good and were accompanied 2 types (apricot & rose) of preserves and clotted cream. Don't think I will be coming back soon.

Yelp
I loved my stay here, and Kenny the manager was absolutely wonderful to work with when we had a problem when we first arrived. It's a beautiful hotel- both in and out- and RIGHT next to all of the main shopping in Tsim Tsa Tsui, which is a huge plus. We also used the hotel's transportation services for transport to and from HK International Airport, which were very pampering and worth the price. Highly recommended. Didn't get to try the Michelin-starred restaurants here, but will definitely do so next time!

Yelp
[update] The manager apologized for the smoke personally, which I appreciate so I'm raising the review by a star. Cantonese people do love their cigarettes though so I can imagine it's hard to enforce. But a strict smoke fee policy I do believe can take care of it if the cleaning staff reports cigarette smells while cleaning.

Vivi L.

Yelp
Just checked in. It's 5 in the morning. My little sister is way too tired so I think I will talk to the manager after my sister wake up. I feel like we are living in a SUPER 8. It's really gross. Hair in "FRESH" towel? And I don't know that F**k are these things on the comforter. VERY VERY DIRTY coffee mug. AND THE ENTIRE ROOM is SUPER HUMID feel like the ac is not working. I have been to Ritz, four seasons and many other 5 star hotels in HK. I will NOT choose LANGHAM for lifetime in the entire world!

Yelp
This is one of my favorite hotels in Hong Kong. Always great service and super clean rooms. I love that's it's across from the mall and lots of restaurants.

J T.

Yelp
This hotel is my absolute favorite of all the four-star hotels I have stayed. Classically beautiful, the Langham experience is made memorable by its professional and caring staff. Each staff member we encounter went above and beyond to make sure our every need and want was addressed. I highly recommend this hotel.

Jason W.

Yelp
The rooms are spacious enough and include a lounge chair, office desk and chair, dresser and nightstands. The bathroom has both shower and tub. I wasn't wowed by the state of the room (it was in need of updating) but it was clean. The aircon got nice and cool but still felt humid to my midwest US senses. The real wins here are the breakfast (which was included) and the proximity to the subway (MTR). Breakfast here is outstanding with a wide selection of both Chineese and western items all of which were excellent. The MTR entrance is literally next door. Also in a nice area of you want to do some shopping in the malls or shops or step out to eat. Staff is very helpful and friendly and speak English well. This will definitely be my first pick when I come back to Hong Kong.

Yelp
Best honeymoon ever! Good service, good food! Room was clean and nice. Bed was sooo comfortable. Wing was great at keep our water stocked and our room clean. Hope to be back soon!
