The Langley Hotel, set within a historic 18th-century mansion in Buckinghamshire, offers a luxurious countryside escape with a real sense of elegance. Positives: Stunning Setting: Nestled in beautiful parkland designed by Capability Brown, the grounds are peaceful and perfect for walks or a relaxing escape. Design & Rooms: The interiors are stylish, with a blend of period charm and modern luxury. Rooms are spacious, comfortable, and well appointed. Spa & Wellness: The spa is a real highlight — state-of-the-art facilities, relaxing treatments, and a gorgeous indoor pool make it a destination in itself. Dining: The restaurant serves refined, seasonal dishes, and the bar is elegant with a good cocktail selection. Afternoon tea is also a treat. Service: Staff are attentive, professional, and welcoming, which enhances the overall experience. Negatives: Food Portions: While the quality is excellent, portions in the restaurant can feel on the smaller side. Location: The countryside setting is beautiful, but it’s slightly remote if you’re looking for nightlife or easy access to city attractions. Atmosphere: Some guests might find it a little too formal compared to more relaxed luxury retreats. Overall: The Langley is ideal for a romantic getaway, special celebration, or spa retreat. It delivers on luxury and atmosphere.

I stayed at The Langley, a Luxury Collection Hotel, Buckinghamshire, and had a wonderful experience. The hotel is beautiful and very clean, with a peaceful atmosphere that makes it a perfect getaway. The staff were extremely friendly and welcoming, which made the stay even more enjoyable. The food was excellent, and I also had a lovely spa treatment the whole spa area itself is really well done and relaxing. The surrounding walking areas are stunning, offering the perfect opportunity to unwind and enjoy nature. Overall, a fantastic, peaceful retreat highly recommended for anyone looking for a relaxing escape.

We've had afternoon tea several times here and a few family dinners. Yesterday we were walking past in the park with friends admiring the building when a security guard suddenly appeared, standing right in front of us aggressively, blocked our path and told us to move on as the hotel accepted private bookings only. None of it made sense as we were simply standing outside the grounds reminiscing on how lovely the hotel was. The guard was rude and intimidating and it was shocking to be spoken to in this way by someone lacking customer service skills and urgently in need of training.

It’s a nice location but the indoor spa offerings need to be improved. The floor heating in the male changing room has been broken for some time, and I have once slipped over because of the water on the floor. Also, they really need to enforce some rules in the pool area. I see children playing with the cups that people drink, and playing with them in the pool, disturbing the calm atmosphere. I once found a cup in the middle of the pool. It’s still a great place though, especially the food offerings and the views.

A very nice interesting property. Service was outstanding as was the food. Staff was always ready to assist. The grounds are lovely, great place to relax and go for a walk. Very close to LHR. Rooms very well appointed but one has to be "careful" on the location in the main building: some can be too close to the outside restaurant/bar (noisy) or not too many windows. Overall, a great place which we plan to return.

Stayed here twice in a short span of 3 weeks - both times in the Brewhouse. Rooms are decent sized and fairly well set up, with modern furnishing and various lighting options that help to moderate the lighting. On both occasions service was prompt and welcoming. ||Grounds are quite beautiful though not as large as other “countryside” hotels. For those with kids they have a playground and some pet goats. ||Location wise it is close to Heathrow and also not far from wonderful restaurants in Bray / Maidenhead as well as Windsor (all within 15-20 min drive). ||Overall I had good stays on both occasions though it is slightly expensive for what it is.

We liked our stay here a lot. The people that work here are very kind, and the place and local lake and flower gardens are beautiful. Food is honestly delicious, at all restaurants. The spa and pool are great. The only downside is that the rooms aren’t that great for the amount you pay - rooms were small, things were literally falling off the wall in the bathroom. I think a wise person would probably pay to use the day spa and enjoy the facilities then go back to London after dinner (the locals literally grab their sainsburys bags and have a picnic by the pool and avoid paying £500+ for a room but get all of the benefits - seems like a shrewd move). I’d definitely come back here as a day spa / dining experience - no complaints really, just you can do it for cheaper than we did!

Asked for a goat cheese omelette and got something even better: a truffle sheep cheese omelette because they were out of goat cheese. The outdoor and indoor pools along with the sauna and steam rooms were all excellent with few people around even though the hotel's 43 rooms were fully occupied. If you want a private feeling spa hotel getaway with an outdoorsy component that is close to London, this is the place. The bar restaurant, which doesn't need reservations, has a heated outdoor terrace with the biggest parasols umbrellas that I've seen. Super service too.
