Andi took great care of us on our first trip to
Whitby. My daughter has been abroad twice this year but won’t stop talking about this place! Thank you for a memorable stay

Great views out over Crescent gardens and West Cliff out to North Sea, could see up sandy coastline to Sandsend and walked the 3miles there one day. Can see the harbour piers and boats coming and going. Even saw dolphins popping up while feeding on the fish. Whitby has lots of opportunities to sample Fish & Chips. There are 199 steps up from East Side up to the iconic Whitby Abbey. The Langley Hotel overlooking the gardens of West Cliff and in the Crescent is a blue plaque showing you where a certain writer (Bram Stoker) stayed and wrote the book Dracula. Around the corner are the 'whale's bones as used on Look North opening credits up by statue of Cook. Great walk ways down the cliff to the sandy beach at low tide past the pavilion where you might catch a film or a show. The Langley offers great accommodation rooms although all places require you to go up some steps. The breakfast sets you up for your day of exploring. Great friendly helpful and knowledgeable staff guide you to the best places to visit and make your stay enjoyable. Highly recommended for a couple wanting a break away together.

A peach of a hotel on the west cliff area of Whitby, superbly situated at the corner of the horseshoe disc zone with amazing views looking out to sea from the bedroom we are in. Very clean and modern and you couldn't ask for a better host than Andi and Kerry. A real pleasure to be stopping here as Andi is full of local knowledge, very friendly and helpful. Breakfast is out of this world, with endless supply of toast and tea if required. Plenty of space in the room with chairs and table to sit and take in the view if needed, a big double four poster bed and lovely ensuite bathroom. One of the best my wife and I have stayed at. Nothing is too much trouble for him, a real top class place. Would definitely stay again.

Andy and Kerry cannot do enough for you, every year we return they add another little extra to make our stay so enjoyable, would recommend them to anyone and we would not wish to stay anywhere else. The rooms are spotlessly clean and the breakfasts are to die for.We are already looking forward to our next stay there.
Thank you once again Andy and Kerry for a lovely time.

Stayed at The Langley for 2 nights, Andi and Kerry are amazing, honestly they couldn’t do enough to make you feel so special, from the moment you arrive to when you check out, so much so I feel like I’ve left my special friends behind and I want to go back! Rooms, views were everything you could wish for, cannot believe how a humble English breakfast can be made to look and taste so spectacular!
See you soon Andi, Kerry.

We stayed again at Easter in a fantastic room with a good view, they were very helpful and friendly doing more than expected for you and one of the best breakfasts that we have had they even sent us a car pass and put a cream egg on each of our pillows..we will definitely be back there.

We stayed for two nights at the Langley in Whitby and cannot recommend it highly enough. This lovely old building looking out over the sea is beautifully decorated, spotlessly clean and so so comfortable. The welcome from host Andi is warm & enthusiastic, and he has lots of recommendations for Whitby and the surrounding area to help you get the most from your stay. The breakfast was superb, with lots of choice, perfectly cooked. Andi has gone to great lengths to make the Langley Covid secure, so you will be able to stay here with every confidence.
