The Lantern Tower of La Rochelle

The Lantern Tower is great to visit but you need to be in god shape as there are 162 steps. Very interesting to learn about the history of the city. The architectural part of the tower is also of interest; you can even visit the inside the highest part if the tower in the sixth floor.

Definately the more interesting of the two towers. Had an interesting visit.

Totally loved La Rochelle. Was just amazing . Arrived on train from surgerewaa only 20minutes. Went through a Grand Station ,easy walk into town 7 minutes walk. The building in la Rochelle are fabulous. As you can see by my photos. Went up one of three towers totally amazing views. Will be going back to la Rochelle as want to stay longer next time.

La Rochelle was our favourite destination from our Northern European Cruise on board MSC. We had delightful weather, basking in the sun. The three towers were the focal points, all standing proudly along the harbour walls. About 10 euro to enter all 3, but they close around lunchtime for 2hrs.

Great place to explore. Your €9.50 ticket allows you to visit all three towers. They're close from 12.15-2.15 each day though.

Worth a visit , cheap entry for all three towers , great views . Easy cycling from the Aire on traffic free cycle paths .

An amazing place. Only if my favoured sure if this era. Highly recommended. A relaxing and interesting place to visit. Excellent.

Had a quick stop to La Rochelle and visited the Vieux-Port. The view is great, you can sit and relax while watching the sea and the boats. The parking is full though so it's not convenient. The 30mn first is free. A lot of bystanders visiting the place.
